Salamat.

Well, I think so too, but the thing is only Coins.PH is the only platform here in our country that can connect directly to my Bank Account and with this I can make withdrawals any time wothout issues also without worrying the fees.

I don't know what your bank is but have you checked Abra?

In the Philippines, these banks are supported for withdrawing funds held in the Abra app:

Asia United Bank
Bank of Commerce
BDO
BPI
Citibank
DBP
EastWest Bank
Land Bank
Metrobank
Philtrust Bank
PNB
RCBC
Security Bank
UCPB
Union Bank
And most other major banks...

Read Coronavirus Singapore: 100 to 1,000 infections in one month. What happened?

THE SECOND WAVE
Experts say the surge of cases in this country of 5.7 million people represents a “second wave” of infections.

The first wave began when tourists from mainland China passed the virus to Singapore residents in the initial stages of the global outbreak, with the earliest cases happening before the city state had implemented any travel restrictions.
As the number of cases grew, the city state introduced increasingly strict travel restrictions, first targeting foreign travellers coming from China, then Korea, Italy and Iran, and eventually barring all travellers.

However, a large part of the second wave of infections involves Singapore residents returning from countries such as the United States and Britain, which are experiencing a surge of cases.
Even more worryingly for authorities, the second wave also includes an increasing number of locally transmitted infections and cases with no known links to confirmed patients.
In response to the second wave, the city state introduced stricter social distancing measures, barring the entry of all travellers from March 23 and on March 27 closing bars and nightlife venues, limiting gatherings to 10 people and introducing penalties for individuals and restaurants who failed to keep customers one metre apart. Residents were urged to stay home and go out only to get essentials.

After lifting ng ECQ, we all know na ang next challenge ay ang road to economic recovery. The DOF/IATF-TWG led by NEDA is asking for our opinons (consumers and business owners) to help them craft programs and policies.

Would it also be correct to say that anyone who basis their decisions of their own exchange's orderbook only is an amateur coz they're not checking the others?
How do you define a pro and how do you define an amateur trader?

There are many different types of traders but those who usually look at prices on different exchanges are those who do arbitrage trading**. I wouldn't easily say they are a pro or an amateur based on that. There are also those who simply stick to one or two exchanges with enough volume/liquidity.

**In arbitrage trading, you take advantage of the price difference among exchanges. For example, you buy coin A from exchange X at $6,000 and the next highest buy order there is $6050. You saw in exchange Y that someone is buying coin A at $6100 so you decided to sell there instead of exchange X.

I tried to make it as simple as possible but you have to understand that there are also risks involved here like fund transfers getting stuck for hours and before you know it, someone else filled that $6100 order.

~
UP scientists, for commercial use.

This is the right thing to do, di ito oras ng pulitika, let everyone do their part para maka survive tayo lahat...
Yup! Something tells me that the statement from that (fired) PACC Commissioner is well timed para magalit ang tao sa Gobyerno. I read that he was the same lawyer that filed a disqualification case against then Presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte.

~
What I dont like last night event is yung pagaddress ni Pres. He should just address the issue on a very brief thought then focus na sa on going plans and mga update sa accomplishment ng gobyerno.
Tingin ko hindi petty fight yun. Diokno has been encouraging the public to go on the streets since the quarantine at hindi daw sila pwedeng hulihin.

The purpose nung live conference niya kahapon is mainly to confront the fake news/information propagated ng mga nananamantalang politicians at yung pag-clarify at lecture niya tungkol sa "shoot them dead" statement the other night. Meron siyang team to talk about the plans and updates at araw-araw naman binibigay yan sa mga virtual press conference ng iba't ibang ahensya.

Projected cases before and after lockdown/quarantine

The aim now is to further flatten the curve para hindi na madagdagan pa ang hirap ng ating mga frontliners lalo na mga health workers. We can do our part by wearing face masks lalo na kapag lalabas. Check out the countries who implemented universal masking and those who did not:

Yeah, he instantly gets international media attention every time he says stuffs like that. That "shoot them dead" were mainly intended to the groups (leftist) who instigates riots, disturbs peace and order, and attacks medical & military personnel.

Quote
Understanding testing for COVID.

Warning, this WILL make your head hurt if you don’t have a science background. Heck it makes MY head hurt, but I cannot explain it any other way.

1. Mass testing is not testing everyone. It is “risk-based” testing. Basically, you test people in increasing circles of risk: test the PUI, then the close contacts, then the community. It is not a shotgun approach because no country can test every single citizen for COVID-19. So we need to figure out our priorities for testing, and WHAT TEST to use. You CAN’T test 100M people, but you can test the MOST AT RISK.

2. Understand the limitations of testing. No TEST is 100% accurate. There are trade-offs. The probability that a test is positive when the disease is REALLY present is called the SENSITIVITY. The probability that a negative test actually means the disease is REALLY NOT there is called the SPECIFICITY.

3. A good sensitivity means that a test is able to detect disease MOST of the time if it is PRESENT in a patient. Having a negative test when the disease is PRESENT is called a FALSE NEGATIVE. In other words, the test failed to detect a sick person.

4. A good specificity means that a test is NEGATIVE MOST of the time if there is NO DISEASE in a patient. Having a positive test when the disease is ABSENT is called a FALSE POSITIVE.

5. FALSE NEGATIVES are harmful because you say that someone is COVID-19-free when he actually has COVID-19 so that patient will be free to spread the disease.

6. FALSE POSITIVES are harmful because you will put a patient WITHOUT COVID-19 in the hospital, possibly with REAL COVID-19 patients such that the patient can get COVID, or be isolated needlessly.

7. So how good are the tests? There are two tests we can use for COVID-19 – RT-PCR and antibody tests.

8. RT-PCR is considered the best test for diagnosing ONGOING COVID-19 infection. PCR itself is very sensitive and specific, >90% for both. HOWEVER, the TYPE of specimen and the stage of disease (how many days with symptoms) can affect how often a test is positive. So for RT-PCR, using a nasopharyngeal swab in a patient WITH disease, the probability of getting a positive test is only 63%. So you will actually MISS 37% of cases. This is why we can do a REPEAT test after 48 hours in a patient who is getting sicker of what looks like COVID, but was NEGATIVE on the first test. The DANGER of RT-PCR is a FALSE NEGATIVE and you can end up clearing someone who actually has COVID-19. This can happen in UP TO 1/3 OF PATIENTS so its not a perfect test.

9. RT-PCR is also a highly technical process that not only involves having the right machine and kits, BUT also the proper SAFETY INFRASTRUCTURE like a BSL2 laboratory. Many labs and hospitals HAVE RT-PCR machines but they do not have the biosafety infrastructure.

10. Antibody tests include PRNT (Plaque reduction neutralization test, the gold standard), ELISA (enzyme linked immunosorbent assay) and lateral flow IgM/IgG. The first two are LABORATORY based assays and the last is a point of care rapid diagnostic test (POC-RDT).

11. As much as we would like to use rapid lateral flow assays (IgM/IgG) because of convenience, NONE of the lateral flow assays have used the industry standard PRNT assay as a gold standard. In other words, we have NO IDEA how good they are despite their claimed sensitivity and specificity. The biggest danger is that because it takes 5 to 10 days to make IgM antibody, the test has a high FALSE NEGATIVE rate in those who just started having symptoms. And so you will get a FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY and end up passing the virus to other people and your family members.

12. The OTHER problem with the lateral flow IgM/IgG is that there are other HUMAN CORONAVIRUSES that cause the common cold, and some antibodies against these viruses may CROSS-REACT with the test, giving you a FALSE POSITIVE, which is bad for the reasons stated.

The BOTTOM LINE is NONE OF THESE TESTS ARE PERFECT. FAR from it. Tests INFORM your response, but they still need to be INTERPRETED in the right context.

To the lay person, they think that a positive is a positive, and a negative is a negative. To us clinicians and scientists, they come with HUGE caveats in management. There are times we WILL NOT believe a test result because it is NOT CONSISTENT with the patient’s clinical picture. If we let ourselves be mislead by a test result without USING OUR BRAIN, people will DIE. And this also holds for doing public health strategies and mass testing.

I do hope this gives the public a glimpse into how complex these decisions are, and that no matter how much the public clamors for something, it isn’t always in their BEST INTEREST to push the issue over what is SCIENTIFICALLY SOUND. Thank you.

If some crypto companies won't be able to handle the economic crash caused by COVID-19, I would not be surprise if they might as well sell to CZ. sir meron po ako tanong, meron po ba kayo alam mga kadahilanan kung bakit ang isang account ni blocked nila or hindi na ma open ng users?

3. For convenience sake

IATF Launches RapidPass System for use in checkpoint para malimitahan yung contact between mga frontliners/others allowed to travel natin at mga taong nag-mamando sa mga checkpoints. Ayon sa virtual presser ni Sec. Nograles kanina, tested na nila ito sa field with the help of PNP/AFP at i-roll out na mamayang hapon (4 PM according to the developers Devcon Philippines).

Quote
Under the system, frontliners in the checkpoints will use a QR code scanner to scan the unique QR codes that will be given to qualified or authorized individuals or vehicles. They can immediately pass the checkpoints after their codes are scanned.

The individuals exempted from the quarantine restrictions can request for a QR code through the RapidPass.ph. Once the request is approved, a unique and secure QR code and control number will be granted to each authorized person or vehicle.

The said QR codes can either be printed and placed on their vehicles or just show the codes on their smartphones to the frontliners manning the checkpoints.

“Sa mga walang smartphone o printer, ipakita lamang po ang inyong control number sa ating mga nagtatao ng checkpoint kasama ang inyong valid ID (To those who do not have a smartphone or printer, you can show your control numbers to the one manning the checkpoint and present your valid ID),” Nograles said.

Government eyes Mass testing by April 14 according to the chief implementer at the National Task Force on Covid-19, Carlito Galvez Jr. Ang focus muna ay lahat ng mga PUIs at PUMs. With more tests to be done, huwag na tayong magulat kung tataas pa lalo ang confirmed cases natin. On the bright side, mas mapapabilis na din ang pag-isolate at paggamot sa kanila.

Khabib is more wrestler, Conor is a striker. If Tony prepared to fight against a wrestling guy, how could it not be wasting time if he fights Conor? Its same time wasted imho.

It like preparing for chemistry exam, but going to physics anyway  Grin
Roll Eyes Try to comprehend what I wrote well.

Wasted time obviously refers to the cancellation of his match against Khabib after months of operation only for the opponent to back out.
Calling out Conor (after Khabib) is a smart move because he is obviously a cash cow,
Kahabib's/Conor's fight styles is irrelevant in that context.

We are indeed in a strange situation. I'm not even sure if any speculators cares about the halving right now. I think everyone is just waiting for that proven COVID-19 cure to bring things back to normal like "business as usual" before markets (including crypto) starts recovering and that will most likely take months for each economy to fully recover.

^ The man is eager to fight and doesn't want his months of preparation go to waste again with Khabib backing out for another reason. Tony Ferguson calling out Conor is a smart move. It's definitely going to be a big money fight if that ever happens. Making Tony fight Justin Gaethje, as replacement for Khabib, isn't really appealing right now.

2013 NBA Finals

Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs (Game 6)

If you are a fan of either team or a basketball fan in general, it's hard to forget that three-pointer made by Ray Allen in the dying seconds to tie the game and send it to overtime. Spurs were about to be crowned the 2013 Finals champ but Allen broke many of Spurs fans hearts that day. I remember we stopped working in the office that time and were shouting out of joy when his shot went in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr6XsZVb-ZE

Another memorable one is that Kawli Leonard's "lucky bounce" shot in last year's Game 7 playoffs between Raptors and 76ers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CROx4XvLJTk

Those were intense games but I won pretty good on both occassions.
