321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: April 23, 2020, 10:13:01 PM
As of now, there is no altcoin that can replace bitcoin. It had been the most successful crypto, people see bitcoin as the main cryptocurrency. It is too far from reality for ethereum to replace bitcoin at the current state since bitcoin dominates the market.
There is no way Ethereum can replace bitcoin even in any state because you cannot compare the two, Ethereum is premined shit which cannot be viewed as a currency and that is the prime difference and there is no crypto in the market that have the technical capability to override what bitcoin is capable of but may be in the future we might see some coin development which could accommodate more users.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach $5k in this up cycle ? on: April 23, 2020, 08:45:44 PM
I dont think this will happen, 70% of all ETH were premined and most people dont know this.
I think there are many dumb people who are not aware of these details, all they think is about speculation and prices moving higher in cycles so that they could make profit and then wait for the correction and then invest once again and wait for the rally, majority are just dumb and they do not really look for any fundamentals on why and how the price could move higher and even when they dream a high valuation without even having a fundamental use now shows the state of speculators Tongue.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Want to invest on: April 21, 2020, 06:10:08 PM
Ethereum project is good, but if you can see the ROI from Ethereum I think you can think twice if you want to invest, Ethereum ROI is already high, the risk of declining is also high, my advice is look for projects with ROI still - (negative), and wait until the coin woke up
That is a valid point, the return of investment for ETH is really high because the initial price was less than a dollar and it has risen over thousand dollars at one point, if you look right now majority of the alt coins are not in profit but you need to be careful which one to invest as majority of the projects are done and dusted.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s second corona wave can it crush it’s economy? on: April 20, 2020, 11:53:20 PM
Over the past 2 days, 16 people with coronovirus have been identified in China, however, according to the statement of the official authorities, 9 of them are foreigners.
China certainly already has the experience of completely isolating and combating the virus, but if the outbreak repeats itself where is the guarantee that this will not happen again.
I cannot believe that they have a complete control over the outbreak and if these numbers are true then they have done a great job countering a virus that Europe and US are struggling to contain, i am not aware of their health care facilities to have such low numbers or are they revealing everything to the world, what i think is that the details of the foreigners are provided as they cannot hide them and i still think they are not telling the entire story.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Project 2020, suddenly stopped! on: April 19, 2020, 08:21:41 PM
but suddenly the project stopped for a reason??
The developers got the money they were looking for, they made everyone believe that it was a great project and that is the reason you are even starting a topic regarding them and their intention was clear, money.

How do you feel? especially for prize hunters who have participated in the Insure Project from the start?
why does a good project always end like this?
There is no promise without any contract and if you promote a scam project are you ready to accept the blame and be liable for the loss, if the answer the yes then we will talk Tongue Grin.
326  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet would become the most expensive commodity in the world. on: April 18, 2020, 10:27:07 PM
Today we we can say without internet we are nothing, many people make internet as their destination looking for much money with several platform like become youtube, writer and many people become investor with bitcoin and altcoin absolutely must use internet, without internet they can't work.
The world revolves around internet and many of the states comes to a stand still if there is an internet failure but to think that it will be an expensive commodity is a over statement, but the most important commodity is better suited rather than the former. Not sure about third world countries but i am using cheap connection with a standard speed that is not draining my budget.
327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Gold Leaving Bitcoin(The Digital Gold) Behind? on: April 18, 2020, 08:40:55 PM
The reason that bitcoin is not getting the uplift that gold is getting is because: bitcoin is not seen as a store of value.
There are many pundits who does not have any clue about economy still proclaims that bitcoin and the crypto market is a store of value, the market is seen as a speculative one and we are yet to see any definitive improvement in the technology that would see a value in the long term and unless there is an intrinsic valuation in bitcoin in terms of the way it is utilize it is hard to claim to be a store of value.
328  Economy / Economics / Re: USD will lose its status of being reserve currency? I am scared. on: April 18, 2020, 07:59:43 AM
I just came to know about this medium article after their daily digest hit my inbox. That article is talking about the economic slow down in America in coming years (fortunately not due to the current corona outbreak). I really scared of another economic world wide slow down. But, not sure how it will be reflecting to bitcoins.
It is a great comparison to see the charts how long each country dominated the world because of their military strength and thereby control the global economy but the current situation is far bigger than the US dollar, all the countries are affected by the situation and the economic slowdown was evident well before the virus takeover and that it was not limited to the US but it was affected globally.
Even if we accept that USD will loose its stature, which currency will be taking over, right now there is none, i am not expecting China to take over now  nor the Euro and as long as there is no viable competitor USD will hold its stature.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans - will you spend your $1200 on BTC? on: April 17, 2020, 04:59:52 PM
I moved the entire 1200 to coinbase pro. Just waiting on money to clear. I will put everything on BTC. it's free money why not gamble with it.
Make sure that you will not get into trouble at a later time, the money the government is providing is to take care of yourself during this troubled times and if you are going to use that to invest then there will be some issues that will pop up at a later time and you will be forced to return everything for gaming the system that was meant to help the poor and needy and so think twice before doing anything with the money providing during tough times and these are not free money as you need to enter all the details while filing your tax.
330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is nobody talking about this major resistance? on: April 16, 2020, 11:56:47 PM
The problem with resistance lines is that it is rather a statistical phenomenon. They change their levels and ordinary users will know about it when this shift has already occurred. If we recall such phenomena as a false breakdown, then I do not know how knowledge of these levels can help me in trading  Smiley
It is a statistical phenomenon but you need investors too during that period so that the market will retain the position or go above or see a minor correction, today the market went down and i was expecting a minor correction because of the resistance and considering the global situation i did not expect the market to recover so fast, in short these are base lines for us to anticipate the market to go in either directions while the whales will always have the last laugh.
331  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: April 16, 2020, 11:41:09 PM
it's not sure just theory since China is in control of coronavirus and making money when the whole world in lockdown. anything can happen I hope it won't affect much in our normal life.
China is not providing the complete data about the situation, they are still hiding about the full impact of this corona virus, a complete lockdown is affecting each and every one, i am not going out for a long time, luckily the government is providing food and medicine, the only option is to sit at home and do something to entertain yourself so that you do not get affected by the virus roaming outside.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: April 15, 2020, 06:17:42 PM
~snip
Don't be an idiot and try to stop runinng around or atleast try some games online. Luckly, there are a lot of offers on the Internet, you can play whatever you want, but do it alone.
Yup, rather than being an idiot and putting their family in danger they should spend time gambling online rather than risking the life of your loved ones just for the adrenaline rush. Most of the online casino will see an increased amount of user base during this lockdown as we do not have any other work to do other than sitting at home.

~snip
I doubt your submission, we'll know that, addiction come through by doing a particular thing repeatedly IMO, if this is true, then, there is a possibility of many individuals getting addicted to gambling,
What i said was that if you have an inclination on getting addicted in your DNA, be it cigar, alcohol, gambling, porn anything else it may be, you will be addicted, right now most of the younger generation are addicted to gaming and it will create an unhealthy population as it will affect their education and can even ruin your life and this forced lockdown will have an psychological impact on the population.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to avoid fraudulent projects? on: April 14, 2020, 08:30:46 PM
90% is a conservative number. Remember that a scam is a scam not only because it has scammed but also because it does not intend to ever build or develop something if it did not raise any money. Bitcoin never needed money to develop, yet it did and continues to. What does that say about other projects?
We have seen many promising projects in the past that were able to collect millions and had progress for a while shut down after a while and that is the case with majority of the projects, only a few survive till now and considering that is the way the market is taking shape for a long time there is no way we could certainly say that the project will be successful, so the risk is always there if you plan to invest in any project in the alt coin fury.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: April 13, 2020, 05:16:06 PM
I guess they can't wait for the lockdown to be over so they've taken the risk already and still gamble on the casinos who are operating right now even though it is illegal already.
I wonder how people are able to travel in a lockdown even if the illegal casinos are open, not sure how things work in these countries but if the police is vigilant then they could counter these idiots as majority are sitting at home.

What I believed in this recent lockdown stay at home is: this process will increase more addiction in those who were addicted before the lockdown and this will have negative impacts on gamblers after the lift of this lockdown.
There might be physiological affects because everyone is forced to sit at home as no one has experienced that in their life time but if someone gets addicted to gambling because they are forced to sit at home, then they will be addicted even during normal circumstance. If something takes hold of your life because of addiction then you need medical attention.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: April 12, 2020, 02:33:36 PM
There is no project that is absolutely safe in this market, but for USDT we will never have a problem with it. I have been using USDT for years and have not had any problems with it, and certainly in the future it will be the same. You can completely put your faith in this stablecoin
No one claims that Tether have a problem right now when it comes to transaction but the problems comes when there is an investigation coming out regarding the backing they claim are forged and if that happens the complete market crashes and considering that risk then you cannot completely put a blind faith of these so called stable coins, i will never suggest anyone to use these stable coins to hold for a long period but if you are trading momentarily then it is fine as long as you are monitoring everything.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: April 11, 2020, 01:09:26 PM
If by chance I knew that we are going to be this high with bitcoin, I could have sold every thing that I have back then and buy a bitcoin. I'm going to be happy living in the streets with 5bitcoin in my wallet
lol. However no one have ever predicted it coming right? not until it reaches the $2000 price way back 2017 and the price pump continues. That time was very risky for every one since it was the first time that digital asset have gone too far even from this point.
Everyone who understand the technology and economics knew that the market would rise as the market was in its infant state and it was just a matter of time and there were people who took the risk to invest in bitcoin during the initial few years and if you were able to risk then it paid off for many. Right now the price has grown considerably and if anyone jumps into the market making a fortune then that time is long gone but that does not mean that you cannot make a huge profit, the market will give you opportunity to make huge profit than any other market but the days of making a fortune is long gone.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 11, 2020, 10:49:26 AM
~snip
Tachi Palace Casino Resort in California where UFC 249 is supposed to be held is in a private island?
Only UFC 249 was postponed and not the events on the yet to be disclosed Fight Island on May.
Yes the Tachi palace resort is located in tribal land especially the native Indian Community and hence the Californian authorities does not have any authority in normal circumstances nor the state athletic commission has any authority if the event was to take place and with these special privileges Dana White thought he could carry on with the event as the authorities could not stop them but during special situations like a pandemic the authorities will pull the strings or else they will face consequences in the future and hence they had to pull out of the event.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 11, 2020, 09:38:34 AM
Although it's awful that some successful casino owners and management forget to protect and help their employees who helped them to become successful, some casino owners were able to send help and give their employees the salary they need. Perhaps they don't care about their employees' financial struggle because they have a lot of money, and they can survive the whole lockdown with that money.
If the casino is able to provide the salary then it is well and good asking them to take care of their financial struggles is a tough ask, the lock down and the virus spread will lead to a financial crisis and that will affect their business and these casino owners have to be prepared for those situation too.

It's their responsibility to give them a salary even if the business is closed. They should be prepared in times like this, and for sure they have an emergency fund to provide their employees. It's only a simple sacrifice for the employees who have been working for them every day.

No one expected a complete lock down in the wildest dreams to be prepared for a situation like this and hence you cannot blame anyone for this situation. The government will come up with a resolution by extending their loan and providing essential products.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 10, 2020, 11:05:16 PM
Well it's the california governor himself who called Disney officials to ask them to stop it according to the NY Times.
And a california senator has also made a public statement to disapprove it.
So the government intervened to cancel the event even though you have private island and no jurisdiction the authorities will always find a way to shut things. I think if the Fertitta brothers were still owning the company they might find a solution.

I'm not sure it will be very easy to hold events on a private island if flights are banned...
Conducting the fight was not easy but they would have taken the fighters with the help of private jets, Dana White was not willing to disclose the place of the event was because he knew that the authorities will try to shut it down and now once the destination was revealed that happened.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin The Best Safe-haven In The Wake of Financial Crisis? on: April 10, 2020, 01:02:44 PM
I believe that BTCitcoin and Gold will be one of the assets that investors are most interested in and we can see how much we can respond in the recovery of the economy.
It is my optimistic thought after seeing to specialists spreading it on the most recognized bitcoin and blockchain blogs.
During difficult periods investors used to consider gold as a safe heaven for centuries but if you look at the price of gold right now, you really cannot call it as a safe heaven as the price of gold has risen many folds in the past decade, when it comes to bitcoin i have no idea whether people will consider it as a safe heaven, it all depends upon how major financial institutions see the bitcoin market.
