321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins (Pepes project)? on: June 18, 2023, 04:46:31 PM
We should forget meme coin now this time even if you are beginner then must be avoid this. Long time before i was investing shitcoins but which wasn’t profitable. I will never force anyone for investing meme coin. If you want long time invest then should taken top altcoins market.
it's only good for just speculating honestly where you understands fully that the money you spends are just gonna turn into thin air even if you invested in wrong meme coin
and there are thousands of meme coins that just gonna outright fail, some people might think they are the chosen ones that gonna make it big but honestly they don't.
here's the thing, investing in meme coin only good if you just invest and then forget, eventually get back at it when it has risen.
other than that, it's just really bad investment in general after all these meme coins are just simply exist for manipulation.

The case when someone invested in a young memcoin and forgot about it and became insanely rich afterwards is extremely rare. The most famous such case is investing in DOGE sometime in 2015. Such investments made their owners millionaires in 2021. But there are cases when investors were not serious about their investments and after a while forgot access to their wallets, while their investments yielded enormous profits. Unfortunately, now they can no longer use this money, because they have lost all access to their wallets.

This usually happens to some unpopular coins in the beginning but the prices strike high when the price and the meme coin have been manipulated and put into a trend. This rarely happens and only early investors benefit from it. Those who invest late because of FOMO are the ones who experience losses. Meme coins are for risk-takers but you shouldn't disregard the possibility that you could also lose your funds in one wrong decision.
Some investors generated profit from meme coins and there are also a lot who experienced extreme losses on it but as for me, I would still take the risk on coins with a better background. Reliable coins which we know could reach a better spot in the future. We only have to be skeptical and trust those who have shown great improvement for years.
322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto;Bitcoin on: June 18, 2023, 03:00:56 PM
Bitcoin seems to me to be the safest crypto currency. I can trust bitcoin but not so much on some others. I think Bitcoin will never disappear from the market and those who have invested in Bitcoin are really lucky to have invested in Bitcoin.  Because I believe the price of Bitcoin is going to get a huge pump soon. As there is a possibility of Bitcoin pumping, those who invest during this period can expect to make good profits during the pumping period. Considering the current and past statistics or situation, I think the future of Bitcoin is very good.
The one thing I know about bitcoin's operation is that it has a promising future. Every project has its ups and downs, and Bitcoin is no exception. We can't say for certain that Bitcoin will vanish from the market, but to be on the safe side, always prepare your mind for the worst; the crypto field is full of horrific incidents. However, let us concentrate on Bitcoin because it is broad and reliable, unlike projects that pump and dump within a month or a week. Bitcoin has always been present, and the project has maintained equilibrium during both critical bear seasons and beneficial bull periods.

We've seen how Bitcoin changed and develop to become a top currency. It will never be a top and most trusted cryptocurrency for nothing. I agree that it's the safest coin that we could invest in especially if we are targeting a long-term investment. There are lots of coins that attempted to be like Bitcoin and reach the same achievements that it has reached but none of them succeeded. Bitcoin, compared to other coins has a stronger and well-established foundation and we can firmly rely on its potential only if we'll only be patient enough to wait for the bullish season.
Many investors who have doubted Bitcoin before have switched to investing in it after they have seen how it could resist and survive in every market situation. If you are a risk taker, it will all be worth it if you'll risk with Bitcoin.
323  Local / Pilipinas / Re: T-Shirt Business For Bitcoin Adoption Profitable Ba on: June 17, 2023, 05:26:52 PM
Make it more creative and attractive lalo na sa non-crypto users. Isa na rin itong paraan para maintroduce ang Bitcoin sa bansa natin. Kailangan lang talaga ng masusing market plan para dito.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your personal debt reduction method aside the debt snowball method? on: June 17, 2023, 04:59:33 PM
Here in my country, we don't usually take a loan from a bank but borrowing from someone we know instead to avoid any interest. I believe the snowball method is the most effective one here rather than not paying at all in the certain date you promised to return all the money, or the worst case scenario that could happen is you won't pay the money you borrowed at all because you have no shame since it's either your friend or a relative, and that's how you make enemies.
Getting loans from family or relatives and friends sometimes makes us a little complacent and less burdened. But this can make us lack motivation to pay off loans. and yes it can create enemies and create rifts in our relationship with relatives. And actually if there are families who want to lend us money without interest then that's a fortune. because of the current situation, it is sometimes difficult for even family or friends to trust each other in lending money. But I personally also give loans to friends and family quite often, but luckily my family and friends always pay on time according to the agreement. And avoiding interest is what we have to do because with interest-bearing loans it will only make it more difficult for us to pay off because we have to pay off the principal loan along with the interest.

Lacking the motivation to pay our debt is a sign of being irresponsible. No matter how big or small our debt is, once someone lends us funds when we need it is already something that we should be grateful for. It means that they trust us that we could pay their money on our promised time so no matter what our situation is, we should always be motivated to pay them back because if we ruin their trust, we'll never have anyone to run to in the future in case we need their help again.
Lacking motivation and courage to pay our debt shouldn't be an excuse. We should be as well determined as we are when we're borrowing funds from lenders. After repaying them, as much as possible, we should try our best to avoid borrowing and try to manage our finances wisely so we'll never experience a financial shortage because if we'll keep on borrowing, the cycle of our struggles with just continue.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Know the Next PEPE on: June 17, 2023, 04:26:08 PM

The memecoin trend seems to have ended because we rarely see new memecoins going sky rocket,
moreover Bitcoin is also bullish again so it's not the time to look for The next PEPE,
but we have to look for potential altcoins that can reach hardcap!.

People mostly focus on coins that are on trend regardless of their potential and through that, they are making themselves believe that some meme coins have a good chance of establishing a strong foundation in the future. However, it happened lots of times wherein meme coins have just struck high because of popularity and manipulation but still didn't show any potential of reaching a better achievement in the long run.
I agree that it would be better to focus on well-established coins like Bitcoin and other top coins than seek another meme coin which might just turn into a bubble later on. We better focus on coins with higher potential than coins that are just being manipulated and are just on-trend.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 17, 2023, 04:08:52 PM
This post is basically a rant by op against scammers since he got scammed for a specific amount which only he is aware of by being gullible enough to believe that it's worth investing in winning strategies.

Anyone with a half-decent brain is aware of the fact that there is no long-term winning strategy. However, short-term winning strategies do exist.

There are tools you can use to win in the longterm
Risk management, not gambling when feeling strong emotions, bankroll management, and so on
But you are right, strategies to beat the house will usually work for a while and then stop working

There might be strategies and risk management that apply to winning but we shouldn't disregard the fact that our gambling fate will still rely on our luck. We can use specific strategies which we have proven effective but we can't use them to beat the house. There will always be two results in gambling and we can't always win all the time so we can't rely on our daily living on it.
There are gambling professionals that are continuously generating profit in gambling but that doesn't mean that they don't experience losses. It's just that they're skilled enough to handle their failures. When it comes to having gambling as a source of income, I don't think it can support us in the long run. We better have a stable job and just have gambling as a source of fun and entertainment.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: June 17, 2023, 03:52:56 PM
The repeated topics in different ways doesn't mean that forum members should ignore them, because we have newbies coming into the forum everyday by day and also some addicted gamblers here that are finding it difficult to control themselves. The best thing that a gambler will need,is to have someone that talks or say some negative effects of gambling to him,so that he can control his gambling activities.

The topics and discussion about gambling addiction is becoming too much and too often to the point that most newbie may likely get scared away from gambling which will not be ok for the casino revenue generation.

Or what do you think?
I doubt this, have you read the topic that someone wrote that gamblers turn deaf hears on advise on not to gamble anymore. Even in the physical world some governments banned gambling and some go around to sensitize people about the effect or gambling,in school the effect of gambling is taught but still the rate of new people going into gambling is increasing day by day. Gambling is just like smoking. The tobacco company will warn that smokers are liable to die young but still the young ones are going into smoking that ever. Same with gambling, gamblers will still gamble no matter the numerous topics created on effect of gambling in the forum. Gambling is for entertainment and such people who understand this will always gamble.

There are just people who seek advice regarding their gambling journey experiences here which I think is a good thing since we are helping each other by sharing our opinions and ideas. Gambling addiction is a broad topic especially since different scenarios are being shared on this forum. It spread awareness and serves as a reminder for beginners or even to those who are falling into compulsive gambling.
We can't disregard gambling addiction topics since it is part of a gambler's journey. It is also another eye-opener to those who are just seeing the positive side of gambling. Discussing the negative effect of too much gambling may help a lot of gamblers here though we are not noticing it. However, I don't think these topics will stop gamblers to gamble. It could remind them yet it will not make them quit as long as they know their limitations. Gamblers will always be gamblers and that has been proven lots of times in gambling-restricted countries where gamblers still choose to gamble in so many ways.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop stressing kids with bitcoin on: June 16, 2023, 05:00:16 PM
First, we have to check if our kids have an interest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies once we introduce them to them. An introduction would be enough for you to know whether they're interested in it. However, we should let them decide if they will spend time in studying about Bitcoin at a young age or not. We better give them a chance to decline or accept it because it will be hard for them to absorb everything at their age. Let kids play and enjoy things that are accurate to their age and never force them to focus on things that will make them feel like being punished.
We must make them choose the path that they want to enjoy because forcing them will just lead them to weak decision-making when they grow up. There's a proper approach when introducing Bitcoin to kids but we should keep in mind that not everyone will accept and be interested in it just like adults.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can One's Religion Compel A Compulsive Gambler To Quit Gambling on: June 16, 2023, 04:14:41 PM
Based on what I have witnessed, I can say that religion can change a person's preference toward gambling but if he's deep into it, religion will still not be a hinder for him to quit. I have a new churchmate who is known in our community as a gambler. He has converted to our religion and is attending Sunday services regularly but regularly, he still gambles the whole week. However, we are not judging him for what he's doing because we all know how hard it is to totally turn his back from his routine. His belief will not totally change him that fast but I believe that he will still have the courage to change his perception in time.
The decision to change his life still relies on a person's decision and not on any religion. It needs courage and self-control to avoid and quit gambling because it will take a long process of willingness and commitment to change.
330  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling addiction causes ear deafness? on: June 16, 2023, 03:55:32 PM
     -   Well, with other gamblers they actually do that. Even though their friends and relatives warn them, they turn a deaf ear and still do what they want to gamble.

So the other people, they just let them in their inclined gambling because they see that their warning to them is ignored. The reminder they heard goes in the right ear and out the left. This is really the effect when gambling becomes an addiction or vice to them.

Turning a deaf ears in gambling does not have to necessarily have the gambler with the deformity of a blocked ear, such gambler will not just listen to every positive advise to help his gambling experience or career in life because they think they know the best and stands not to be corrected, alot of people found under this category had been left out without much effort on them for change unless they personally wish to.

People who are enjoying what they do tend to close their senses to advice and reminders. We can compare it to a person who is in love. Despite all the advice of people around him/her because of the red flags and negative things that people can see, that person is blinded and just focus on what he/she feels. Same with gambling, a person isn't willing to listen if he likes gambling and has a deeper goal to achieve. He is not open to any corrections and advice because he focuses on what makes him happy.
However, it will not last long because once he encounters a failure, he will then realize his mistake of not listening to good reminders. If we have these kinds of friends and loved ones, I hope we wouldn't get tired of reminding them of what the right thing to do is. They may not listen to us but at least, we are doing our part.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife on wedding. on: June 15, 2023, 04:34:54 PM
If your future wife is into cryptocurrency, she will surely be grateful of your gift but if she's clueless about it and still got no idea about Bitcoin works especially if it's illegal in your country, you better buy her something that will surely catch her interest. Bitcoin is actually a good present idea but not everyone will appreciate it, to be honest.
Before I got married, me and my husband were already into the crypto industry but we didn't touch our Bitcoin investment until now. We had our assets shared and we had a co-ownership on it. However, not all women are into crypto unless you would educate your girlfriend as early as possible about the importance of Bitcoin investment so if you'll give Bitcoin as a wedding present, she'll know how to handle it. If you are having doubts, better give her something that she can treasure and value wholeheartedly as a woman.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: I thought there was an egg shortage. on: June 15, 2023, 03:20:49 PM
In our country, there haven't been an egg shortage but the price of it is continuously increasing each week. I'm not sure if it's being manipulated or it is just because of the inflation crisis that people now are just consuming eggs more often to save money. Just like what happened last year, the price of cooking oil has increased that burdened lots of ordinary citizens. These situations has been happening with different important products which makes people suffer but we can't put the blame on the government alone because we all know that we are also affected by the global crisis.
However, trust issues are rising in our country, since there have been an onion shortage last year and we found out that some suppliers are hiding their products in different warehouses so they could manipulate the price through shortage. I think it is something that we cannot control since some business owners want to make more money regardless of its effect on their consumers.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 15, 2023, 09:20:31 AM
I really have loads of sympathy for people who wants to stop gambling, because people are bombarded with online gambling related advertisements on all platforms. I counted the gambling advertisements on television the other day... and I nearly fell off my chair, when I saw how much advertisements are shown in 1 hour.  Roll Eyes

Then people go online and they get bombarded with gambling advertisements on their phone / laptop / iPad etc... etc.. it is just crazy how much money is paid to advertise gambling content.  Roll Eyes

Gambling advertisements are all over the internet nowadays which affects those who want to recover from gambling addiction negatively. Though they are trying to avoid gambling, they will still be tempted to try out their luck again as they see advertisements and promotions online. If a person wants to completely avoid gambling, he should also limit is number of hours using gadgets so he could avoid gambling temptations.
It takes a lot of courage and discipline for a person to get over and heal from gambling addiction. There are things that he has to sacrifice and avoid in order to succeed and totally be healed. It needs discipline and self-control to be determined about what he really wants. He must change his lifestyle and routine to get over his gambling addiction successfully since this is a challenging thing emotionally and physically.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 15, 2023, 08:48:51 AM
This is the way it should be, but most people once they begin to win some money refuse to stop, they think that luck is finally on their side and they prefer to keep gambling thinking they will earn a lot of money and recover from all of those losing sessions they had on the past, but once their luck runs out they begin to lose again and in their desperation, they decide to keep gambling, lose a great deal of their capital in the process and then they feel remorse about what they did.

After a good winning streak, you start to think that you have understood something and now it will always be like this, but losses are an integral part of the process and you can make more mistakes in these moments on emotions. After that, when you start to analyze what happened, you understand that this could have been avoided, and at such moments, of course, there is regret about what you have done.

Remorse and regret will always be part of our emotions after a series of losing because, to be honest, that's part of our gambling journey and we can't avoid losses easily no matter what strategy we may apply because our game results mostly come out by luck. It's fine to feel regretful in the end but, but of course, we have to move forward and learn from our mistakes.
We can't lose and get stuck on the negative emotion that we feel. As much as possible, we should rest for a while as we clear our minds after having losses. We shouldn't gamble continuously after a bad gambling adventure. Resting and conditioning our minds will be an effective tactic for us to prepare ourselves for better gameplay in the future.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 15, 2023, 08:17:44 AM
Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.
I don't think so. Because not everyone comes to gambling only for earning money. Many gamblers who lose money but do not get discouraged and return to gambling. They consider it as entertainment. It's not that they get too excited if they win money at that point. They try to enjoy real pleasure from gambling. People who love gambling can never stay away from gambling even if they win big. But if there is someone who chooses gambling only for income and gets a big jackpot then the matter is completely different.

People who have generated huge amounts of profit and had their lives changed because of gambling are the ones who are having a hard time quitting and leaving gambling simply because they have the desire and hope of winning the same amount again. They believe that they could gain profit and win again by applying what they did before which I think is a wrong mindset. That is also the reason why people who became rich because of gambling usually turn back to the rug after losing everything in gambling.
Those who gamble occasionally and see it as a source of entertainment could quit easily since it isn't part of their important routine so they can quit easily and totally avoid it. They can set a proper mindset to leave gambling with willingness.
336  Economy / Economics / Re: Is poverty a lack of money? on: June 14, 2023, 10:17:21 PM
Quote
In summary when you have everything you need to survive and you don't need money, are you poor?

I don't think that you could be considered as poor if you have everything to survive. You might not wealthy but if you know how to make use of the resources and know how to appreciate them, then it's for you to look at the brighter side of your situation rather than see what you don't have. Some people are contented with their lives since they are surviving through natural resources because they can also make a living out of it.
If you have the resources and still having a hard time surviving, then you are not poor but lazy. Some people, despite having all the blessings in front of them, still see what they lack instead of appreciating what they have. The financial status of a person still relies on their mindset and their level of perception. We aren't privileged but we can still find ways to survive and make a living and if we want to change our status, we should work and grind hard.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Improve Your Sports Betting Skills and Win More Bets? on: June 14, 2023, 09:51:31 PM
1. The most important step is to Research and analyzes before placing your bets: It is imperative that you gather relevant information about teams, players, statistics, and recent performances. This information would enable you to make more informed decisions.
Doing research before making a bet is really necessary so that we can consider it from various sides, as well as the chance. However, in betting, this does not guarantee that we will win. Because in betting, there are several challenges where sometimes the reality or the results really don't match our predictions and research. Especially if it's sports betting, slots or other things where sometimes there are other factors that have an effect.
But at least, we have tried and understand what the risks are from the betting itself.

Because in actual situation, there are still some blind spots that we can't cover like the current health status of the player,
their preparation, weather conditions, planned strategies, coaching skills and others.
This is why even if you know their history, you can't guarantee yourself that your bets will win.
But of course, doing your due diligence will give you a better edge when it comes to choosing your bets.

It can't guarantee winning but it could still increase the chances since we're able to make wiser choices if we'll do research. Of course, if we'll be keen on researching, we could find a better vision regarding the blind spots such as their health condition, coaching status, and others. There's really no assurance in gambling but at least we could make firm decisions and reasonable choices if we'll do research before betting.
Betting without doing at least basic research is like we're relying on 100% pure luck and the chances of winning rely on our fate. It is better to have a knowledgeable edge than to bet without even a little confidence because we lack a basic understanding of each team's background and history. Yes, they aren't reliable all the time but they can be our basis when making bets.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: June 14, 2023, 09:31:07 PM
Reading another post, it crossed my mind that AIs and particularly ChatGPT could potentially be trained with a large samples of games played by poker champions and then put it to auto-play with amateur on-line players. If this is successful, it could mean the end of human on-line poker playing except perhaps for the world masters and the like. Has anyone tried? Would it be possible??

While ChatGPT and other AI systems can be educated on massive amounts of data, including poker champions' games, entirely killing online poker for human players is quite unlikely. AIs might be powerful opponents due to their capacity to analyze massive quantities of data and make strategic judgments, but poker is more than just statistics. Human players benefit from intuition, emotions, and the capacity to adjust to changing surroundings. Although some AI bots for poker have been built, they have not totally taken over the game. So, while AI might improve games and provide vital insights, the human element in poker is likely to endure, particularly at higher stakes.

I certainly agree. Ais nowadays could be used to make decisions making easier in lots of activities including gambling specifically in poker. Some people rely on it when it comes to strategic applications and we can't deny the fact that it is somehow an effective tool to generate winnings but in the long run, it will still not replace or compete with human intelligence.
Humans, when it comes to poker games include emotional strategy which I think no AIs could compete with since emotions aren't readable and it will be a challenging opponent. No program can read it so it could serve as a strength against chatgpt and other Ais.
However, the potential of chatgpt will still have a huge chance to improve more in the future and for sure, more developments could happen and we must expect it.
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Profit By Betting on Losing Teams on: June 14, 2023, 09:16:52 PM
But you have to be very careful when choosing a team and not blindly follow the system. In reality, many bettors tend to simply bet on the winning team without considering whether the spread will be covered or not. It may seem easy to decide which team will win, but the concept of betting against the public, although said to be profitable, requires caution and careful consideration when using this strategy.

Whether we choose to bet on a winning team or a losing team, we must do research so we'll have an idea about how each team works. No matter where we bet, we should be cautious and always consider the possibilities. If the public are betting on a certain team, it doesn't mean that the result will always favor them. Anything could happen anytime so we must analyze, discover and explore about the players' capabilities. Betting on the losing team all the time would be a lot risky unless we have tried the strategy multiple times and it worked successfully for us.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 13, 2023, 05:01:29 PM
People are saying that gambling is not good so nobody should involved themselves in it. Fathers/Mothers (parents) are shouting to their sons and sometimes beating them all because of gambling. If you are a gambler, the society sees you as a bad boy or person or a waste person in the family. Parents would be saying "look at your age mates, they are going to school and become a successful persons in the society, you are here playing gambling". They would even say, gamblers steal and thieves.
And really when you look at some of those boys they play Draft game morning till evening. Upon all these allegations against gambling. People are still Gambling. WHY? Is There Any Mystery Behind?
There is no mystery in gambling,it is not everybody that gambles that have that mind of winning, gambling is fun and it is based on luck. Gambling is for adults and I don't think that there is any adult that is still under his parent and if there is such, that person shouldn't gamble because he might end up using his parents funds for gambling. You work and earn your money by yourself, nobody can tell you what to do. If you are fine with gambling so be it,even if there are no casinos, people will still come up with a means to gamble. I don't see gambling as something bad from my own side and the mindset of staking is in human nature.

Gambling itself isn't a bad thing but what makes it bad is how some people handle and deal with it. People have different goals and purposes why they gamble. Some of them do it for fun and to seek comfort while others do it because of having hopes of winning which might change their lives. People will continue to gamble as long as there are winning testimonies around which gives us hope of gaining a better profit through it as well.
We can't blame parents who are scolding their children who gamble. That is our responsibility as adults since we already know the effects of gambling addiction to young people since they are still fragile when it comes to handling their emotions and controlling their urges. It is important that we'll educate them on how to get rid of gambling since they are still unable to handle it responsibly because of their age.
As long as gambling exist, there will always be people who will try their luck on it. We can't blame them for doing that because we all want financial freedom in the future but we should also accept the fact that not everyone will find their luck on gambling.
