321  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a possibility to Fix Neutral Trust? on: August 12, 2023, 09:58:26 PM
Besides, neutral trust isn't as bad as it sounds because people have done good things and received neutral trust for it, so for now you shouldn't be bothered about it unless its negative trust you got, otherwise welcome to the neutral trust club  Cool
That would depend on the neutral feedback he got.
We've here a campaign manager that raised an anti-AI campaign which is impossible for him to be accepted.

Sometimes I think this way that somehow people deserve a second chance, how about a public apology and creating a thread on the reputation board that he will change his attitude and never use this AI tool?  And try to convince the one who left a neutral tag to remove it once he proven it. (of course, it needs a certain time to prove it).
322  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SITES/PLATFORM TO SELL BUSINESS FOR BITCOIN on: August 12, 2023, 09:45:04 PM
Flippa and Empire Flippers ..
I heard this before and I think it's a reliable website where you can buy/sell business through Bitcoin.
They might accept Bitcoin as a payment method, but you would need to check their current policies or TOS.

In addition, these could be also good websites.
  • bitify.com
  • eBay

or join various communities and try to do things peer-to-peer.
A good choice, especially if have an escrow service that you can use.
323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: binance vs decentralized exchange on: August 08, 2023, 11:52:05 PM
There are decentralized exchange where one can trade derivatives, but they are less popular, which means that the downside is they have lower liquidity as compared to centralized exchanges. The fee might also not be that friendly.
This is why most people keep using centralized exchanges for trading both spot and derivatives
I tend to agree with this and these are the disadvantage while using DEX compared to CEX.
  • Liquidity
  • Trading Fees

CEXs generally have higher liquidity due to centralized order books, allowing for tighter spreads and less slippage which means, your trading position will be fast and easily executed while on DEXs, often suffer from lower liquidity compared to CEXs, which can lead to wider bid-ask spreads and slippage during trading.

But people now choose the opportunity of gaining the market over security, if security, privacy, and control are key concerns, a DEX might be more appealing.  If higher liquidity, user-friendliness, and a wider range of trading features matter more to you, a CEX might be a better fit.
324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you use AI trading assisting tools? on: August 08, 2023, 11:26:58 PM
Of course yes, I will, one of the most examples is using an automated training bot.
Using AI tool trading has an advantage but remember they're just a tool to use in trading, didn't work this tool without your ideas and skills.
The number one advantage could be to execute trades at speeds impossible for humans to match.  They can instantly respond to market conditions and price changes, ensuring that opportunities aren't missed and reducing the impact of delays.

It also operates around the clock or let's say, 24/7, even when the trader is asleep or away.
This is especially beneficial in global markets that operate in different time zones, ensuring that trading opportunities are not missed due to human limitations.

So why not?
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: August 07, 2023, 11:37:03 PM
after going true my research about Bitcoin, I can confidently say that, Bitcoin can provide food on our table. when you exchange Bitcoin to buy a particular thing, like food, house, or a drink. it means it provides it for you.
When you convert Bitcoin into another form, such as purchasing necessities like food, housing, or even a simple drink, it essentially serves as a means of providing those essentials for you, that's how Bitcoin works.

I believe that through trading, we can ensure a steady provision of food on our tables and as we grasp the intricacies of the rules and regulations surrounding Bitcoin, there's a possibility that my concept could contribute to securing sustenance through Bitcoin.  It can't be certain of the outcome, but I'm genuinely convinced that by adopting my perspective on Bitcoin investment and trading, we have the potential to support ourselves.  Because it's very important Bitcoin shouldn't be our sole reliance, rather, it should serve as a supplementary income stream. With a dedicated approach to Bitcoin investment and trading, there's a pathway to achieving success."
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I lost my life savings trading Bitcoin Don't be like me. on: August 07, 2023, 11:21:52 PM
It isn't the end of the world yet, try to find an alternative solution, and don't run with it.
I'm genuinely sorry to hear that you're struggling with these feelings which is sounds like you're carrying a heavy burden and experiencing a lot of self-blame.  Remember that everyone makes mistakes, and it's never too late to seek help and make positive changes in your life.

Consider reaching out to a doctor that's a health professional who can provide you with guidance and support during this difficult time.
They can help you work through these feelings of shame and help you develop strategies to cope with challenges and it's also important to confide in a close friend or family member who can provide emotional support.

Because IMO, seeking help is a sign of strength, you don't have to go through this alone.
There are people who care about you and want to support you on your journey toward healing and personal growth.  Next time, don't rush having Bitcoin trading because that's very risky, at least you have a knowledge on it.
327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [don't have such a mindset] Bitcoin accumulation/investment not a competition. on: August 06, 2023, 11:59:00 PM
Not bad but I think, becoming a true Bitcoiner isn't about accumulating a certain quantity of Bitcoin for the sake of bragging rights, rather, it's about embracing the underlying philosophy and principles of decentralized finance and being a part of the global crypto community.  To avoid being left out, individuals should focus on educating themselves about Bitcoin and its long-term potential, rather than indulging in unhealthy competition for quick gains, IMO.

Recently, I encountered some friends engaged in an intense competition to accumulate as much Bitcoin as possible in a short time.
However, I emphasized that Bitcoin investment should be approached with a long-term vision and without feeling pressured by others' ambitions.
It should be done at one's own financial pace, considering personal needs and budgets, without compromising one's well-being or financial stability.
328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Physical bitcoin on: August 06, 2023, 11:46:10 PM
Physical Bitcoin doesn't have the same value as digital Bitcoin, it depends on what kinds of materials are used.
To avoid possible scams while you're new to this crypto world, it's better to read the Bitcoin Whitepaper so that you'll understand more about Bitcoin and that isn't physical.

As above said, if that is similar to the Casascius coin, which has an amount of Bitcoin inside, you must have a private so that you can verify if that's true and transfer it into a hardware device that is safe to store Bitcoin in the long run.
329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Facts about Exness app used for trading Bitcoin on: August 06, 2023, 11:28:17 PM
Just give it a try if you want, a minimum of $1 deposit might be the amount that you can afford to lose, of course, don't expect that it will return not to get hurt when it isn't.  That headquarters on that app is from Russia, it could make a problem in the future if you didn't read the terms on it.

I recommend using a very well-known trading app than these, it seems like Exness and OctaFx has almost the same features of copy trading but they have different origin.  I found this article comparing between them which I think isn't really good to use.
330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever used copy trading apps on: August 06, 2023, 11:17:11 PM
What do you guys think about copy trading?
Copy trading can be a valuable tool for less experienced traders to learn from and follow the strategies of more successful traders.
But it doesn't mean you can rely on it with your whole time trading activities, you should learn to stand on your own feet having your own skills and knowledge.

I didn't use the app even in trading, it should be on a website not on the app, there are too many loopholes if you're using this app and the common problem is the buggy one.
Look at the Playstore Review, everything they said was a negative review toward this app.
331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: que regarding BTC on: August 03, 2023, 11:59:35 PM
I tend to agree above, in the Lightning Network, transactions are processed off-chain, which means they aren't immediately recorded on the main Bitcoin blockchain.  This process helps save time and can significantly reduce transaction fees compared to on-chain transactions, especially for smaller and more frequent transactions.

The Lightning Network achieves this by utilizing what is known as "payment channels."  These channels are established between two parties, and once opened, they allow those parties to conduct multiple transactions between themselves without needing to involve the leading blockchain for each one.  Because running a full Bitcoin node, which includes supporting the blockchain, is different from running a Lightning Network node. To use the Lightning Network, you must set up a separate Lightning node, which is compatible with the Bitcoin network but operates on a different layer.
332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ~If you must trade~ on: August 03, 2023, 11:50:42 PM
Self-control with your emotions and patience should be there at all times because those who trade with this are the usual successful trader.
^But the main subject could be your knowledge, right?
IMO, to maximize profits in trading, a trader needs a combination of various essential qualities and skills because emphasizing only one aspect while neglecting others can significantly affect trading success.

However, risk management is another vital aspect of trading because even with patience and emotional discipline, a trader must manage their capital wisely to preserve it during unfavorable market conditions.  Proper risk management ensures that no single trade has the potential to cause significant damage to the trader's overall capital and the last one is the stop-loss which is very important.

So not only two of them, it should be various of them that we should always consider.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The British Museum has announced to turn artefacts into digital co on: August 01, 2023, 11:57:20 PM
IMO, the historical context of certain artifacts in museums, including the British Museum, and the ethics surrounding their acquisition and ownership.  The issues of repatriation and cultural heritage are complex and have been a subject of debate for many years.

As for NFTs, the emerging digital art market has indeed attracted both genuine interest and speculative behavior and might some see NFTs as an innovative way to engage with art and culture, while others view them with skepticism due to the speculative nature and environmental impact of blockchain technologies.
334  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: WARNING when using mobile device wallets (Android, iOS) on: August 01, 2023, 11:23:38 PM
IMO, I'm using a mobile wallet for how many years I never experience hacking or someone getting access to my wallet and it might be because, upon creation, I used my old laptop in generating a private key and then export the key into my mobile wallet.  I used Electrum which has its own keyboard inside as explained above, so I think even if you're using 3rd party keyboard it didn't affect you if you also disable permissions for the 3rd party app, it's a good idea to review and restrict permissions to ensure that the keyboard doesn't have unnecessary access to sensitive data.

The most that should be avoided is jailbreaking (iOS) or rooting (Android) your device, as it can weaken the device's security and make it more susceptible to attacks.

However, I highly discourage someone from using a mobile wallet app storing for the long term, isn't a good idea because the wallet app has low-security features.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why bitcoin has 21million supply on: August 01, 2023, 10:59:18 PM

Why was the decision made to cap the total supply of Bitcoin at 21 million BTC specifically? it could be 10million, 100million, why the specific number "21"
was it a deliberate and well thought out decision, or was it a bit arbitrary?
i wanted to understand the reasoning behind this particular number "21" and whether any historical or technical factors played a role in determining it.
Only Satoshi will answer your question about why there's only 21 million total Bitcoin supply.
As the supply is fixed and not subject to inflation, some proponents argue that it could encourage saving and long-term investment in Bitcoin. However, it also has its criticisms, as deflationary assets might lead to hoarding behavior, hindering the currency's use in daily transactions.

The true reason behind the selection of 21 million Bitcoins may never be known, as Satoshi Nakamoto's identity and intentions remain a mystery to this day.  The decision has undoubtedly contributed to Bitcoin's unique properties and its status as the first and most valuable cryptocurrency in the world.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Certified Bitcoin Professional on: July 31, 2023, 11:58:16 PM
Interesting IMO.
There could be other organizations like Blockchain Council offering similar certifications.  However, forums and communities are great resources to learn for free and just thought of sharing this, ain't affiliated with them.

For me personally, i do not and will not consider any certificate from any of this firms important, it is nothing but business for me, they are just feeding on the ignorance of some people, what ever lesson or knowledge regrading bitcoin and blockchain that this firm is awarding this certificate for, same can be learnt and even extra ordinarily perfected through online courses from several platforms like Udemy and the likes, and the beautiful thing about Udemy is that, you can find any course there at a very cheap amount of money, all is required is your willingness and determination to learn..
I tend to agree with you that in fact, many certificates offered by such firms might not hold much value in the eyes of potential employers, especially in the blockchain industry where practical skills and knowledge matter more.  Online platforms like Udemy offer a wide range of courses at affordable prices, providing a more practical and accessible way to learn about Bitcoin and blockchain.

I think the credibility and recognition of these certificates depend on how well-known the issuing firms are within the blockchain community.  If blockchain companies and industry experts didn't recognize these certificates as valuable indicators of competence, then their worth is questionable IMO.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON is bad coin, here is why on: July 30, 2023, 11:59:42 PM
You argument is totally wrong about Tron. Every coin has pros and cons,& Ethereum aren't all round perfect.
That's exactly what I'm going to say about this argument because such statements can be subjective and might depend on the specific use case or metric being considered.  Both TRON and Ethereum have their strengths and weaknesses, and they target different audiences and industries.

TRON was created as a decentralized platform to enable content distribution and sharing, focusing on the entertainment industry.  Justin Sun, as the founder of TRON, likely aimed to carve a niche for his project in this market, and now what when it comes to Ethereum?

It seems like we're comparing here orange and apple that has different tastes.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sharing your Bitcoin journey on: July 30, 2023, 11:23:09 PM
1. what sparked your interest in this decentralized digital currency. "BITCOIN"
It's a shame to admit it but just because of the profit you've earned and since the early days faucet and airdrops and very popular and that is the reason why I got involved in the crypto world.  But now I've realized how useful it is not only a means of making a profit.

2.How has your knowledge about Bitcoin evolved since joining Bitcointalk?
Improved of course and also always be aware of scammers or to get scams because we know how to avoid them.

3.Do you have any advice for newcomers who are just starting their Bitcoin journey?
Dont be greedy thinking about the profit, sometimes we need to invest time and effort to sharpen our minds in crypto and how this technology evolved.  There's always an advantage for those knowledgeable people.

4. Are there any memorable experiences or interactions you've had with Bitcoin and Bitcointalk that you'd like to share?
Memorable? hmmm I don't think so.  Everything that happened was great and I'm thankful for that.

5. How much help do you think Bitcoin has been of help to you since you learnt about it.
It's a lot.  I've my own business now just because of Bitcoin and this forum.
339  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is It Normal For A Site To Ask For Your Wallet Address? on: July 30, 2023, 11:05:53 PM
By the way, i still not get why did you got this email from the Atomic Wallet ? What will they make sure even if you tell them your public address  Huh
It might be because of this.
However, there are 7 different USDCoins.
So I used the Help feature and ask which of the 7 should I use?
I got an email back:

Op might be confused why he has 7 USD addresses instead of one and it could be a different network but I think 7 addresses is too much.
As I said above, there's nothing wrong if they asked a public address as long as your private key is safe, besides, it's their staff who asking for the public address.
340  Other / Archival / Re: How to manage bitcoin correctly? on: July 29, 2023, 11:42:37 PM
When BTC reached $69000. I didn't choose to sell it. but the current price of Bitcoin dropped to less than $30000. Is it the most reasonable choice to sell BTC now and turn your attention to other investments? I hope to get some good suggestions. Although I have held BTC for many years. I am not good at management.
As we know that Bitcoin was known for its price volatility, but it's also shown substantial growth over the years.
If you believe in the long-term potential of Bitcoin, holding onto it might be a reasonable option but this depends on how you'll trust or have faith in Bitcoin, and usually, that's what most Bitcoin enthusiasts do.

If you decide to continue holding your Bitcoin, consider setting up stop-loss orders or other risk management strategies, these can protect your investment from severe losses in case the price continues to drop.  Much better never to sell under the price where you purchase.
