321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: August 04, 2019, 09:28:16 AM
So... has EOS become another dead coin with no utility in which all the discussion being made is about price predictions and empty speculations?
I don't hear anything about development nor I see team announcements here, unless it all happens behind closed doors.

Just compare the dates and activity of EOS and ARK in GitHub,
EOS: https://github.com/EOSIO/eos/commits/master (Nothing for a month and the July activity isn't that impressive)
ARK: https://github.com/ArkEcosystem/core/commits/master (Consistent good activity even though it's an undervalued and not as well known project)

I guess EOS holds a high position because the crypto-market is in sleep right now and there are no people to buy all the bags?
If I'm wrong somewhere, I'd be glad you'd show me where I'm wrong.
322  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Crex24.com - Cryptocurrency Exchange [Official Thread] (Fiat deposit/withdrawal) on: August 03, 2019, 12:23:57 PM
Oh I tried the exchange through a mobile phone and your UI was much better than most exchanges I've tried!
It was easy to navigate to the menus and trade normally from a 6" phone Android, so good job with that guys! Grin
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OpenBeta] FirstBlood.io - Come Play!! 1ST Esports Competition Platform on: August 02, 2019, 07:17:07 AM
I don't really give fuck to that firstblood project, got just few coins to play with and they are free for me considering their price and my ROI. But I can say the same about ETH which delivered absolutely nothing, no PoS or hybrid, no scaling, no unstoppable apps (DAO case). If they really will come up with an utility for this token like witness nodes with penalty for false witnessing, the rewards in 1ST instead of payskrill bullshit it could be at least a jack shit.

I think you're confusing the services a product is delivering with the financial returns.

Ethereum has delivered a lot of working products, even though the network itself has many issues which hopefully will be fixed after ARK starts stealing their customers since ARK offers a superior technology.
On the other hand, 1ST has done nothing more than selling some tokens that never had any utility (and I'm assuming here that they run an ICO at some point in time, but I could be wrong).
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: August 02, 2019, 07:12:07 AM
installed a mobile wallet today, transferred ark to it, but why can’t I cast a vote for the delegate, does it constantly give an error?

Are you on Android or iOS? And has your ARK been confirmed or did you try to instantly cast a vote the moment your balance appeared in your wallet?
I think you need to wait a few minutes before you can vote, but I don't remember how many.

As a Web Developer, I really appreciate the design and fluid animations of your site! I visited from PC but with what I've seen, I'm sure it works great on mobile devices as well.
With such developing skills though, I'm sure it'd be easy to allow a guest access the moment the users visit your site, as already requested ^^

Thanks for the guest account, but this doesn't change the fact that people visiting your from other sources or without having read the 1st page of this thread won't know about it.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CoinGecko.com - 360 Degree Cryptocurrency Valuation and Ranking on: July 31, 2019, 01:17:09 PM
Ethereum 107% up and XRP 28% up... I  guess XRP did too good the months before so it would run out of gas at some point, but this is still so unfair!

Ethereum gets more useless the higher its price gets since its main selling point are the DAPPS, but I've felt the results of its last pump... players wanted to sell their NFTs for Ethereum in a FOMO panic and no one wanted to buy them by spending their rising ETH.
This alongside the rising gas fees and eventually the Ethereum's use-case was ruined for many days until the price started to fall again.

On the other hand, XRP partnerships with MoneyGram and its use-case is as a store of value and a medium of transfer, an increase in value and/or transactions doesn't create problems for XRP.

Yet it seems people prefered to invest in Ethereum instead of XRP. I'm getting tired of the dump people in this space, driven by FOMO, FUD and following the general opinion without researching anything.
327  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Exchange Big.One scam. False trading volumes. Fake tournaments. Theft of prizes on: July 31, 2019, 11:44:19 AM
They keep spamming me with Chinese emails that have no "unsubscribe" button, so I emailed their support about it and that's their reply,

"The platform has related activities or major notices to send emails to users so that you can keep up to date. Currently, you can't cancel the subscription. If you don't want to check it, you can ignore it.

It was my privilege to serve you today. I hope I was able to address your enquiry to your satisfaction. If you need more assistance relating to this issue, please feel free to contact us at any time."

Seriously? So they are a trap platform that steals users' email in order to spam them advertisements.
I just put them in my spam email and I'm looking for a way to report them if possible. Such an answer from their support is unacceptable!
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Career on: July 30, 2019, 08:25:47 PM
Poker must be one of the most famous games if not the most famous one in casinos, so you can easily train yourself in different kinds of poker through free games without real money.
Just check what games are available for your phone, I started there!
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: July 30, 2019, 07:55:05 PM
wow so it's a whole operating system? That's awesome!
I just hope they'll make it easy to implement as a secondary OS, like in virtual machine inside Windows for example.
Then we can use it as an extra layer of security for our transactions, away from possible virus infections in our main system.

And I like this phrase,
Quote
nOS was originally issued as a NEO NEP-5 smart contract token. As their project grew and evolved they began to look for a blockchain solution that would not only help them improve the speed, flexibility, and scalability of their platform but one that would also allow them to fully realize the vision of nOS.

It shows how a customer prefers a real solution like ARK instead of a marketing inflated coin like NEO.
If NEO has 15.20 times higher market cap than ARK, then you can imagine how undervalued ARK is. It's funny how this comparison also reaches the 5$ price for ARK which I've mentioned a few days ago!
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: July 30, 2019, 06:56:02 AM
when moon back lol

Ravencoin is a rollercoaster to the moon and the abyss! Cheesy
But this behaviour is usually being stabilized while more coins are being issued and there's less scarcity, but the stability comes with a price: the coin becomes too heavy to lift for moon!

If Ravencoin adds any real utility and become usable, then great, there won't be any problem.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: July 30, 2019, 06:49:16 AM
@ðºÞæ. Sukrin is correct. Also, all the validating nodes are controlled by Ripple. Your tool might cause a small disturbance on the network, however, it will not be as serious as you want to.

It affects each and every coin which can not scale, thats the gist of it.
Any low marketcap coin can be used all others play "Russian roulette" without a fix. Who likes to gable away his (cough) investment.
Not my tool, or code.

Devs need to find a fix without it is lights out.
Issue at hand, the biggest achievement for David Schwartz (aka JoelKatz) to date is loosing the beginning of the XRP database for which he was generously rewarded  1 Billion XRP. Does he have the technical know how to fix it, no. The only option for him is to find some competed devs who put a band aid on and call it a fix.

Ripple can scale more than most cryptocoins, the nodes that validate are maybe less than 50. Also, it might be more effective and simpler to do an attack through denial of service attacks if some on those 50 are vulnerable.

Just how did you come up with the number 50? Maybe you're being confused with dPoS (delegated Proof of Stake) coins like ARK which has 51 delegates?
XRP network consists of 1029 nodes as of this moment, here's the full list but it might get laggy while it's loading: https://xrpcharts.ripple.com/#/topology

Good luck 51% attacking XRP ! Grin

333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BEAM | Mimblewimble | Private | Scalable | No ICO | No Pre Mine on: July 28, 2019, 03:15:26 PM
The news is good, and the price drops ((((

Have I missed something? I haven't noticed anything important, just a hardfork announcement which is nothing more than an anticipated update and a few marketing articles and events here and there.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 28, 2019, 03:11:35 PM
Just invest in NFT assets inside Ethereum instead of ETH itself!
I'm making a good profit by playing Axie Infinity for example.
As long as you're a good gamer, you can actively make money by playing in Ethereum decentralized games.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: July 28, 2019, 03:09:05 PM
I just have a plan if I want to join the delegate, what percentage of the profit do I get if I at least 100 coins are at stake

That would be about 0.02 ARK per day.
But 100 ARK are like 35€, you wouldn't expect a real profit by investing just that, right?
I would advice you to invest at least 1000 ARK and hold the profit from staking, ARK will surely reach at least 5€ again so with 1000 ARK you'll be making about 0.21 ARK / day and when the price reach 5€ that will be about 1€ / day.
yes it's just a small example and I still consider the amount of coins that I will invest because I still consider the other coins but until now I am very interested in the project from ark compared to the others
I don't know about every single detail of every project, but as far as Github activity and development speed goes, ARK is one of the best if not the best among the other similar projects.

I believe you can't go wrong with ARK, even if some whales dump by time to time (like in every coin honestly), the long term is bright for ARK.
336  Economy / Gambling / Re: Game Protect Legal Case - Curacao License Scam on: July 28, 2019, 03:06:17 PM
By only reading the OP, I was 100% sure this "Game Protect" thing was a scum without even knowing them!

"up front payment" to do something that has no guarantees, man how did you fall for it? Undecided I hope you didn't pay them much.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: July 28, 2019, 11:26:56 AM
We all want to win but the fact is that it is impossible to always win. We should remember how gambling has affected other peoples' lives and from their experiences we can avoid it.

I also tend to find people who make a living out of gambling as lazy people... it's one thing to have it as a hobby and pocket-money and another to have it as a full-time job.
Balance in everything is the key! Grin
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you want to win big...accept defeat on: July 28, 2019, 11:24:01 AM
I do not completely understand the meaning of accepting defeat here. What should a gambler do when he get defeated. Pack up and accept it and do not play further gambling ?
Accept the losses, so you don't lose too much. Because when you trying to recover your losses before with new deposit or more money, you will likely ended with more losses (sometimes, you can win your money back too).
I've heard a story here in this forum not too long ago about a guy who was doubling his bet every time he was losing, so if he'd lose 10$, he'd bet 10$ on a chance to win double his bet. If he'd lose that for a total loss of 20$, he'd then bet 20$, then if he'd also lose that he'd go to 40$ etc.
Only that his bets were with more than 1 zero.

I hope we all understand how dangerous this thinking is.

Even in competitive video games, the advice is to stop playing if you lose too many games and you feel frustrated because the chances are you are not able to think clearly at that point.
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: LOLGAM : LOL and Bitcoin and Gambling on: July 28, 2019, 11:20:15 AM
How more lazy can you get?
You just posted your Bitcoin address in a terribly looking paper, hopping that someone would be even more stupid than you and send you money?
