321  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Auction winner does not pay. What to do? on: October 23, 2015, 08:57:09 PM
I'd also hit him/her up with some negative trust on this Forum. It's lets people know that he/she has backed out on deals.

Then relist your auction and ban this member from making bids (i.e., ignore their bids)
322  Economy / Economics / Re: China is facing an unprecedented economic slowdown. This video explains why. on: October 23, 2015, 08:53:39 PM
LiteCoinGuy,

I don't think  we need a video to understand that China is facing "unprecedented economic slowdown". China has had unprecedented economic growth! And what goes up, must come down...all bull markets endure correction.
323  Economy / Economics / Re: America's new debt ceiling - $19,600,000,000,000 on: October 23, 2015, 08:49:42 PM
Goodness gracious where is this headed to?? When this blows up we will be all screwed, the whole world.

I am so happy that I got into Bitcoin!

I've been thinking about that a lot - where is this heading to? Can it really explode?

I'm no economics expert but here's my take...

How much of this debt is owed to America vs. other countries or entities? The debt owed to other countries or entities is real.  Those groups can knock on America's door and say "pay up" and America would have to comply. The debt to America is internal...like borrowing money from a family member. The payoff requirement is more blurry.

I wonder what real discussions are had at the highest levels of government about what  to do if the debt cycle implodes "on my watch"... America isn't the only country with soaring debt.

All this talk makes me want to go pay down some debt!
324  Economy / Economics / Re: Gandi accepts bitcoin payments on: October 23, 2015, 05:30:16 PM
What is a "registrar" in the context of this company?

It's always great to hear of a new company accepting bitcoin!
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: cash remains the only option if there's an emergency on: October 23, 2015, 05:26:08 PM
YES!!!

This is the biggest weakness with using Bitcoin - if the electricity goes out or you're unable to reach the blockchain, your funds are not accessible (they might as well be worth nothing).

But, Bitcoin was never designed to be a doomsday currency. It was meant to be a more fair, more efficient way to conduct current financial transactions.

This is the beauty of it, it won't need to replace fiat (nor should it) because fiat will always be necessary in emergency situations. This will help prevent the rulers of fiat currencies from meddling with Bitcoin.

Here's a link that will help you decide which wallet will best suit your needs (it even distinguishes between Android or iOS).

327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbie? come here i will tell how to earn bitcoins here in forum.. on: October 23, 2015, 05:20:13 PM
Well OP wants to bring all the opportunities in one thread.
I think this is a good idea, but there is something about signatures.
I would highly suggest to link threads if you think so, for signatures, avatars, pay for signups, etc..

This thread is not helpful. Many of these campaigns literally don't accept Newbies to join - how does that help a Newbie get connected to a signature campaign?

There is a thread dedicated as an "Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Campaigns", link has already been shared by another member on this thread. If a Newbie who wants to be in a signature campaign doesn't want to read and explore where this information exists they don't deserve to participate in a signature campaign.

Watching the "how do I earn bitcoins through signature" threads pop up is entertaining and a great indicator of who should not be allowed to participate. These threads are not constructive, which is rule #1 for all signature campaign participants.

To the OP, thanks for your effort but it's been done before and it's better in the original format - please delete this thread!

Welcome to the Forum!

Have you done any reading on the Mining board? Here's the link -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0

Good luck with the new hobby.
329  Other / Meta / Re: Admins, pls check suspected Spam/bot posts in thread on: October 21, 2015, 05:13:33 AM
Indeed it is the same. I'm glad it's being addressed, and i hope the bitmixer.io team is involved in ending it.

Thanks!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1207191.0

Admins, check out posts #42-48 from the thread in the link above.

I think it might be spam or a bot. All 7 posts quote my OP the same way and say nearly the same comment. Sonething is off here.

Thanks.
331  Economy / Economics / Re: Who's using Bit-x exchange? on: October 21, 2015, 04:58:34 AM
is bit-x good exchange?how profitable is it?

It's an exchange, it's as profitable as you are smart enough to make a profit from the exchange rate arbitrage.

Im not using it yet because I am using something else but I would like to give it a try in the future.

I am not using it right now but I am planning to use it somehow in the future,
I heard so many good things about it.

What are you all waiting for? (Or were those bullshit-to-get-paid posts?)
332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: October 21, 2015, 04:52:14 AM
I don't use faucets anymore just a waste of time, only used them for about 2 weeks when i first started with BTC.
I guess just by making this post i have made a small amount of BTC from my sig campaign.
i have a question, you seems with some years in this, if you leave the faucets so how you get btc? investing? gambling? dont count the sig campaign and buy it with fiat

Sig campaigns are pennys so you are right not to count them its just that it is free to do what you usually do so it can help if you do not go posting crazy amounts and have to work for it. Have to agree faucets are a waste of time to earn but good to learn though and i am great full for them to be honest. My main source of extra btc comes from small trades and high stake coins they seem to be working for me so far if they start letting me down i will look for other was of earning. Stay clear of gambling lol

Sug campaigns earn mire than mining based in the time and money needed to turn a profit.

Silver Tenth up for auction - starts @ .1

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1211887.0

You see what happens when you put these coins up for auction? The price just rises...naturally...the demand breeds more demand. People interested all raise their hand slowly and then as they see how many others are interested they decide "they must have it"...and boom, you have an auction running higher than your original ask.

Crazy, right? The market works in funny ways but obviously the auction price is setting the true price of these coins.

Congrats!
335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and Paypal on: October 20, 2015, 03:54:36 AM
Paypal is a payment gateway while bitcoin is meant to be a "invention" which later got a price tagged along. Anyway coming back to topic:
1) It has become simple for merchants to use bitcoin as a payment system due to emergence of services like BitPay .
2) BitCoin is used more often in trades rather than for buying things, it has still yet to catch up .
3) If "buyer's protection" was done it would be the same case as : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1195135.0 and you can see how so many people disagree on it. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency anyway, so its not possible.

I don't agree with this explanation or analogy.

PayPal acts as a payment intermediary and offers payment protection. I don't think a service like this exists that deals with bitcoin payments. The current system for bitcoin is no different than you selling your goods online for Dollars and facilitate the transactionson your own. If you don't want to use escrow you can require someone send you payment first and if you reneg they can hit you with a negative Trust rating on this site.

Mexxer, you messaged me with a question - it's your comment/explanation that I don't agree with. You're right that it was confusing that I quoted you and the OP...I think I was feeling lazy at the time I wrote the post.
336  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius Coins - Prices Lowered! on: October 18, 2015, 05:04:39 AM
Wow it wasn't long ago when it would be crazy for a buyer to think they could buy a MS67 version of these coins at these prices.

If I had to guess the downward pressure on highly graded coins is the result of the glut of supply in the market that is resulting from so many people selling coins that have very high grades hoping to profit. These coins are still very nice and will make a nice addition to a collection.

Glut means stall or shortage, no? How does a glut in supply put downward pressure on the price? The problem is that demand has relaxed.
337  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius Coins - Prices Lowered! on: October 18, 2015, 05:02:46 AM
Since there was a thread made about it - Yes this is Blazedout419. I figured since everyone refers to me as "Blazed" anyways why not shorten it to that.

Haha, you've had this account since 2013 and you're just now confessing it's your alt? Why?!

Beautiful coins, wish i could afford it...i'm in the market...

I think you maybe be a little confused here. I renamed this account from Blazedout419 to Blazed. I have no alt accounts.

Ah, that makes sense...yes, i was confused. Sorry! I didn't know one could change their username. Was 419 your area code? Those that knew you before the new moniker should now refer to you as 419...ha!

Unappreciated
339  Economy / Economics / Re: commodities vs fiat (martin armstrong question) on: October 18, 2015, 04:59:03 AM
Adapt or adopt?

The butcoin system is different from fiat in two way: 1) a government doesn't control it, and 2) it can't be manufactured to control it's value (inflation or deflation).

Would it be better, yes? But are the ppl in power likely to try to control it if the world were to adopt it? Yes...they're human. For this reason i think it's best to keep bitcoin as an alternative rather than a replacement to bitcoin.

I'm glad to see that you'll let the market set the price!
