321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP price leaps nearly 20%, leaves investors confused on: September 23, 2018, 03:34:30 PM

It’s been a good news week for XRP, and it’s creator Ripple, but a 20% spike in its value – and an accompanying explosion of volume – has left even its dedicated supporters confused as to what’s going on. Just after midday today (GMT+1, 7am EDT) the price of XRP began a sharp spike upward […

I really do not see any reason why investors should be confused. XRP even though I have always have my skepticism about it as a result of its centralized nature, totally makes it susceptible to price pumps and dumps as well as it being controlled. Nevertheless, we got some news regarding the Xrapid program recently and some partnership of some sort which I am sure could have actually been one of the reasons why the volume and spike came about. Well, as long as it leads to profit, there is certainly nothing to be confused about here.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you prefer, bank or crypto? on: September 23, 2018, 02:48:22 PM
If it is just for the benefit, then I will choose the cryptocurrency, but if it is to save the property, then the bank is the best choice!
The two will always come in handy at certain points in time, but in reality, if we are really to take a pick, I would say the best way for me is crypto. It might not be widely used yet, but I believe as time goes on, things would change for good and we will get to start seeing some good level of usage. I have never been a fan of banks as they have always only been a pain in the ass right from the onset, or probably say they have been a necessary evil.

For many people as it is now, since crypto cannot really be used for so much, banks will always still be a solution provider when it comes to spending what you have. But for most other people from this community, knowing how banks have made transaction a living hell over the years, they certainly will not choose banks over crypto.

Crypto has saved me in so many ways most especially when it comes to making transactions across border, which is one thing banks have always found hard to achieve and with all their bullshit policies that really does not help anyone when it comes to international spending. With crypto, the freedom is all here and that is something that cannot be given up.
323  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Decentralized market vs. Centralized market on: September 23, 2018, 09:16:22 AM
We need both of them but to me I think decentralized market is better because it gives more freedom to people to engaged with themselves without no central authority

Centralized system meant to lock us by using our own money with the name of tax or anything.
Sometime this centralised medium may be best for the user's point of you.
Decentralised is the solution for the intervention of these shit things happening in the market.

Bitcoin and all the altcoins are the things which can be helpful to keep your fund without taxation.
I believe at the end it is all about variety like someone said. However, the potential for freedom in the way you can spend is there when it comes to decentralization and that is something no one can get from centralization.

Centralization brews control and with that, there would always be some certain limitations as time goes on, which is the reason why we have seen how fiat has really messed up over the years with some economic policies that ended up backfiring and all sort while the citizens end up suffering the consequences of the economic meltdown. Decentralization brings freedom and I think that answers it all.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: To be or not to be. What to invest in? on: September 22, 2018, 05:50:21 PM
So far, in my investment I only thought about investing in gold, real estate and bitcoin. well, that is my expertise if in business. but, for now, I'm only focusing on bitcoin. to be better, I think that bitcoin is able to generate real estate, and gold for me.
I like the angle to which you decided to take that. Gold and real estate have been in existence, and you will certainly need a whole lot of money to be able to invest something substantial in them which as far as I am concerned, most especially for real estate, could be very huge. Bitcoin is still very new and at the early stage of adoption of anything, it is usually very interesting to see how things can go fast most especially for something that is promising, but that does not mean the risk is not always bigger in such situations.

Well gold is not good for investments cause the roi is too small and real estate is too expensive. I prefer to invest in bonds, stocks, or in cryptocurrency cause it might bring more roi and its affordable to invest on it.
Normally, you are saying that now because the market for cryptocurrency is new and I am sure a time will come when you would not be seeing much difference between gold and bitcoin when it comes to volatility when huge adoption kicks in. Also, like they always say, the higher the risk, the bigger the profit and vice versa, it still does not mean gold is not profitable, but the reason why people still invest in it, is because it is less risky.
325  Economy / Economics / Re: What's Crypto innovation for you? on: September 22, 2018, 05:01:05 PM
Just for your information, Bitcoin isn't the first cryptocurrency at all. I advise reading a little bit about the history of decentralized currency, encryption, and privacy tools.
Yes, but at least we both know that bitcoin is the first working decentralized digital currency.
Moreover, beforehand, most of the cryptocurrencies created in the past still had some little element of the fiat system in them, so I would not have said; they could be classified completely as a decentralized cryptocurrency.

At least, I remembered reading in 1998 about a bitgold; an electronic currency system that will require users to complete a proof of work function with solutions being cryptographically put together and published, but it did not really go that far. As it is, bitcoin still remains the first working cryptocurrency.
326  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin the inflation killer :-> on: September 22, 2018, 04:19:47 PM
I think what you are saying is very controversial. Yes, Bitcoin by nature is a deflater, but still it is not widespread as the usual fiat money. Plus its legal status is still under question in many countries and jurisdictions. I am optimistic about future of cryptocurrency, not sure about Bitcoin though.
It may not be widespread yet, but still as a store of value against the inflationary system, I would say the OP has some point. Judging from the likes of those who have really seen the fiat space not to help anyone right from the onset and then you see prices being inflated for a lot of reasons that balls down to economic policies and decisions by the central banks and governments, I would say putting a good number of my savings few year back into bitcoin has really been helpful when it comes to beating the inflation in my country as well.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crime Effect of Gambling - Your thoughts! on: September 22, 2018, 03:45:07 PM
If you mean stuff like finding a crack at the website or the seed of provably fair and stealing from the casino directly than I do agree that it has a side effect like that however not all gamblers are hackers, some are just there to gamble, its the hackers who gamble that are creating these sort of criminal efforts to make money from easy ways.

If however you mean stuff like gamblers having debt to casinos and having hard time paying it back and going to life of crime to make payments than I do not think that is gambling related, that is just a crooked human who have been waiting for the right reasons to commit a crime.
328  Economy / Economics / Re: Technology improves we work more. on: September 22, 2018, 11:30:24 AM
Todays generation is more easier than before because of new technology. A technology that will help you to work more easier and comfortable but sometimes this new technology used in a bad way.  Technology is better depends on the users and how it contribute to the public.
That is what I see technology bringing as it keeps advancing and when things are getting easier, then things get cheaper, problems are quickly solved, you won't see companies having to pay a huge number of workers or laborers, and still not get a good efficiency compared to the use of a machine and so many more.

Technology to me might only have a disadvantage where some might lose their jobs, but I believe it cannot be that bad, that in every area, machines will completely take over the jobs of humans. In every technology, one way or the other, there will still be a human behind most of the control, but the reality is that it makes job easier to do.
329  Economy / Economics / Re: If i could manage the government! on: September 22, 2018, 10:43:02 AM
IF i had the chance to managed a certain government i would really apply blockchain technology and give their budget in a form of cryptocurrency or digital currency that could be used as a form of payment and could even trade to fiat money. In this way we could eradicate the corruption because the public could be aware on where the budget of the people coming from taxes will going through. Yet, until now the government is not interested on cryptocurrency or if they are they are not willing also to investigate and checked how cryptocurrency works and how could it will be applied on their system. They just want their business to continue as usual doing ghost project? I do not know maybe!

Japan today is using cryptocurrency in their own country because they really know that it was very profitable and it can improve their own economy.
I would say that is a smart government. I am sure most government will actually be looking at a way they can keep monitoring the situation of things and seeing how the countries using them are faring before they will even decide to attempt adoption.

All the above, even if any of us could manage the government as it is, it would take a lot to still be able to put a lot together depending on how technologically oriented the country is, and then be able to implement the usage of blockchain technology. Moreover, it takes someone who fully understands the importance of blockchain technology at large.
330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Difficulties (ups and downs) faced in trading? on: September 21, 2018, 04:57:46 PM

Every platform is aimed to yield profits and trading platform is one of the best platforms to invest and gain turn over. We do have experienced traders here. Few love to start trading after their research here. What are the things you would advice a new trader to focus on? How should one go about when beginning his / her trading?
Trading profitably is hard this days if the crypto currency trader is yet to have the experience needed but the only way i knew that a new trader could avoid loosing in this current market is using trading bot, setting a market price alert app .
Trading profitably at any point is not hard as long as you know what you are doing. Normally, if the market is bearish and you are not out of it, it is always better not to expect so much profit from trading and stick with a very good principle based on percentage unless the market shows a possible uptrend.

Trading bot will not be the solution to your problem if you certainly do not have a very good strategy, but the good thing with bot is that, it certainly does not have any emotion, and can only do what you ask it to carry out without a thought.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your greatest trading regret? on: September 21, 2018, 03:18:25 PM
Most of us feel like you now. There is no one who doesn't live. When the prices were high, the price drop was unexpected. We all bought it and still expect it, hoping the price will go up.
The price drop was only unexpected for those who do not have an idea on how the market should always behave. We had a bull run for no reason than speculation last year, and in such scenarios, you should be sure the same whales that manipulated the bullish momentum will be sure to cash out when they feel they have been able to gain enough and then they repeat the process again when the market has dipped enough.

The only regret anyone will ever have is not learning properly to take advantage of those moments. But, markets are rotational, it means we may expect similar situations to happen again and again hence start learning at least from now onward will get anyone to land on wonderland, probably in near future.
332  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the price of the bitcoin will reach so high that no one can buy it ? on: September 21, 2018, 01:24:12 PM
now only the price is little high , i think the value of the coin in future days may reach so high so that it would become so expensive to buy it
because now the people in the world started learning about bitcoin may it become popular
If it happen in the future that the price of 1 bitcoin is too expensive for average investors then, the market will open a fraction of bitcoin which is a satoshi which I think can be affordable to us. The market will also adapt with the trend of this technology. Anyway let's just be practical as everything will follow with the flow.
You sounded like the fraction is not in use already. We have 100 million satoshis that makes up a single bitcoin and that on its own is enough of a fraction to take advantage of.

Even as it is now, the current price is still very expensive for a lot of people, but they still buy the little fraction they can buy anyway, and I believe nothing is going to change when the time comes when the price is far more than it is, unless of course you want to say the price of bitcoin ends up being more than $100million, and in that case, I really want to imagine what the market cap would be like, and to me, that sounds unreasonable to see that happen.
333  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is our assurance that Bitcoin will stay for long or forever? on: September 21, 2018, 12:12:19 PM
What is our assurance that Bitcoin will stay for long or forever?  There is a prophesy I have heard that Bitcoin will fall.
Can you share some strong reasons of why Bitcoin will last?

As long as there are a lot of people who are interested on cryptocurrency, bitcoins will never die, that is the reason why you should invest right now while it was still early.
And for what it is worth, we all know it would be hard for anyone not to be interested in cryptocurrency as we keep forging ahead. This is one space that has brought a whole lot of development, disruption, changes in the lives of so many, and the achievement of freedom when it comes to spending and in that case, it would be hard to see anyone want to give up that freedom for something that has never worked over the years but has even caused us more bad than good.

There will always be more people wanting to take the risk into buying bitcoin since it offers a great value until we are totally out of those who want to take risks and by then I am sure it is no longer risky as we could have attained the laggard stage. No one can say if something can happen negatively on the future, but we all are hoping that if everything turns out fine, we will surely be benefitting a lot and even if it does not, we would have taken a risk that was certainly worth it.
334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Surges From $6,190 to $6,450 in Seconds, What’s Next For BTC? on: September 21, 2018, 10:00:41 AM
in bitcoin market there is a effect of etf i think. if etf will approved then we will see the change of btc price. and i believe at the end of year the price will go 10k.

To be honest. If the Bitcoin ETF is approve now, we will only see the effect for just a month before people start to dump their coins because the cryptocurrency market usually experience a lot of shorts during this time and every soon people we also sell some of their for the end of the year holiday. Therefore, it will be next year before we can see much bull run or effect of bitcoin ETF that's if it was approve.

Well there haven't been any approved etfs yet so what are you talking about? A price rise of 300 dollars isn't really something out of the ordinary that should get you excited.
I want to assume that people love getting excited for so many reasons best known to them, maybe because they are really in dire need to see a bull run or because they just want to keep making themselves hopeful and happy. Well, the latter is not bad anyway as long as they tend to be reasonable with it.

I also do not even see how ETF approval should be something to be looking forward to that much, and better to just concentrate on the market as it would behave however it wants to behave when the time comes.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: everything will be ok. trust in crypto. on: September 20, 2018, 02:25:31 PM
As long they are using blockchain and smart contracts platform. Price could jump off. Just be patience those ICO will take its place to another round of bull market.
I put a lot of trust in this market and hope that it will bring the same results for investors. I'm not a venture capitalist, but cryptocurrency really gives me the excitement of investing.
That excitement is really what makes it very much enticing right from the onset. A market that gives everyone an equal opportunity to invest in a market without any form of segregation whatsoever. That sure sounds about very lovely to me. There is so much going on in the crypto eco system today in terms of development that certainly does not make anyone to not to want to trust in the future of cryptocurrency.

Times are changing, the way we spend is changing and so many things are still going to change. Is it not better to be a part of the future now?
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A good investment option? ICO's pitched on a PRODUCT, not a White Paper on: September 20, 2018, 12:07:37 PM
It's so difficult to find an ICO pitched on a product. After Q2 of 2018 it has to be an outstanding idea with an outstanding team to be worth the investment
I totally relate with that Smiley. However, it might be difficult to see them, but does not mean they are not there.

A lot of them though tend to want to use the funds raised to build on the product they already have which is why I prefer sometimes to see some sort of demo and be sure the team is ready to work in most cases than just investing in an empty promise because certainly, promises will not solve the job and unless I am sure the team look solid with enough experience to build something realistic in the long run, before I can consider.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH recover? on: September 19, 2018, 06:16:13 PM
ETH will rise again soon, still by far the most popular blockchain out there for launching projects on, once they solve scalability then its off to the moon again.
As long as the condition ends up favorable, I expect that most alt markets and that include Ethereum, will rise very soon. There will keep being development gradually, things would obviously not stagnate for the project, and a time will come when the weak hands would have been totally out and the bulls will set a new course for the market and then we see the recovery, which is why anyone who is smart now, will be concentrating on picking the dips rather than panicking for no reason.

I wonder why people are placing so much attention on Ethereum as if Ethereum is the only coin that has been down hugely. A lot of coins have erased their previous gains and so far, even though Ethereum got lower than what a lot of people expected, it still does not mean it is the end of the world for it. It is just a phase in the market and there is nothing anyone can do about it. What is important is to know that as long as it is a good project and it remains a good project, buying the dips should always be the best move.
338  Economy / Economics / Re: How to Retire in Your 30s With $1 Million in the Bank on: September 19, 2018, 04:47:36 PM
$ 1 million is used for large business capital. so our business that runs, is the velocity of money and the brain, not the body. so we can enjoy those times. for example stock investment, or bitcoin.
Well, there are always going to be opportunities every time and letting your money work for you have always been the saying of most people in the entrepreneurship space.

Definitely, not everyone can end up being smart, but as far as I am concerned, working towards retiring early, sacrificing some certain things for a better future is always a good way to enjoy the last part of your days in life, rather than working your butts off for a very long time without even having a thing to show for it than deteriorated health, low immune system as a result of daily struggles and stress, and so on. There is more to life if you can just be smart.
339  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments on: September 18, 2018, 03:30:43 PM
What is your take on this and what do you think will make governmental bodies to finally accept crypto?
Governments are not as little as you might think. Yes in places like Venezuela or Madagascar or whatever the politicians may not have the power of some people in USA but the people in USA do not have power of the USA government neither. Hence, in the end wherever you are living the crypto you use will not affect the government and won't affect or threaten the government at all, it is not that much powerful and it will never be that much powerful. Even the stock market that is trillions of dollars do not affect government enough to threaten it. I believe economy is the most important part of a country that governments care about but it is far from only thing.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good coins to buy now and hold for a long term? on: September 18, 2018, 01:57:49 PM
it's hard to predict if we see which coins are better because I think some of these coins are good but we have to look at the potential of the next few years if we invest long term because not all coins will be good for a long time...
This kind of Op questions are the questions that each person will always have to answer on their own. You have to do your proper research to know the market you really want to be investing in and then compare each market in terms of prospect or based on what you think. There are so many assets out there, and no one can tell how far they will go, but as long as it is worth being a part of, then that is what matters.

The best cryptocurrency to buy and hodl right now is Bitcoin, Ethererum, Cardano, Ripple, IOTA and Tron. My opinion.
Those are certainly some pretty good coins worth holding at the moment and for the fact that they are some of the top coins with high market cap; it makes it easier for anyone to make the decision in joining where the smart moneys are joining which gives it less risk than low volume markets. Cardano most especially looks like a sleeping giant at the moment and I would not be surprised to see it go bigger in coming years.
