1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or REGRET!!! on: December 27, 2017, 02:43:05 PM
I sold my 6k ripple coins last night! Embarrassed
We are all in this together. I remembered just a few days before DOGE started pumping, I sold all my doge at 62sats with a total of $500 and with the rate at which it is pumping now, I am sure it is not ready to stop. And the funniest part is that it can be an annoying thing behaving like a FOMO, but I have learnt my lesson to always buy and HODL. No selling!

Before my practice is bitcoin alone for holding and altcoins are for short term holding. But now a days inflow of new money from investors may go to altcoins too. So, holding altcoins too is becoming inevitable for making free money.
1302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: December 27, 2017, 02:07:55 PM
of course you can wait for a dump but it is likely that the growth will continue further. here everyone should solve itself
The possibility of experiencing another dump is likely impossible at this stage but anything is possible. It is bitcoin, we have been surprised but looking at the trends and most of the things that happened in the past, I would not want to bet on it.

Although we have not gotten to the security stage of buying yet as we are still in the indecision phase as far as I am concerned, but if you have the mind to take risk, then just go ahead but be very watchful.
1303  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF BITCOIN POPS? on: December 26, 2017, 06:10:57 PM
It would heavily set back the cryptocurrency scene, because currently pretty much all altcoins rely on bitcoin to succeed. But bitcoin will not pop because there is no reason for it to. Sure, the network has problems and the price has fallen recently, but it will eventually recover.
Anything can happen but one thing is that there are stages and that is why we keep having those deep corrections so as to get the market to stay healthy.

The worst pop that would ever happen is getting bitcoin as far back as $8,000 and just very few will really get to even quickly hold at that price as that would be some pretty solid base. However, like you said, this is just the time for the bears and I am sure they are done for now or close to done.
1304  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if bitcoin got hacked on: December 26, 2017, 05:23:46 PM
There's beed a lot of FUD and fun trading opportunities whenever something regarding the underlying bitcoin protocol occurs. We can always count on a nice bounce to trade or rescue us whenever this happens - because, well, nothing was really wrong. But what if it happened for real: Bitcoin stopped working compeltely and wasn't coming back up, or someone cracked EC and all the keys were compromised, etc. What would the trading chart look like? How fast would it go down? Would be there be any bounces? Where would the final bottom be? Draw a chart. Even if you made a good trade would the exchanges even let you withdraw fiat? Would they even be operating?
We can never say for now until such a scenario really happens for real. I am not sure such a thing can happen because if it really was to happen, then the MtGox issue would have been the end of bitcoin by now even though it took years for it to recover back from where it even fell from.

Some may give up in the process, while some would just take it as an opportunity to continue with the moment. However, in the scenario of bitcoin getting hacked, you should expect the craziest moment ever.
1305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volatility on: December 26, 2017, 04:43:47 PM
Volatility will decrease throughout the years with this market getting more and more regulated, but not to the extent of reaching total stability, that will never happens because even with traditional assets that isn't the case. Bitcoin actually needs a bit more stability in order to give people more incentive to actually start using Bitcoin as currency tool. I think if we at some point in the future can achieve that, it will tremendously increase Bitcoin's adoption, and especially in combination with lightning network. At this point convenience and stability are lacking, and with time I am confident that we will tackle both aspects, which will then stimulate adoption.
Yeah, total stability is something that can never happen one bit. What we are seeing now with the high level of volatility is because the market is still very new and people are only seeing bitcoin as an asset and want to just make profit.
Over time, as we keep getting more adoption and we start having real life usage for bitcoin, things will change and then we will experience just some pretty much gradual increase and decrease in the value of bitcoin.
1306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell BTC for Cash on: December 26, 2017, 02:51:50 PM
Hello,
I want to sell BTC in Las Vegas. I want to get around 2000 Dollar, depents on the x-change how much BTC I have to spent.

I have to opportunities:
- Sell BTC to a stranger found with localbitcoins.com
- Sell BTC on an ATM.

The x-change rate at an ATM is quite poor, but for me it sounds "safe" to sell it to a maschine.

In general I do not have any idea how it will work. I have a german wallet on bitcoin.de and I'm not interessted in transfering it somewhere else then to the buyers wallet due to the high transaction fees.
What would you think how long I have to wait, until the payment is processed? I'm not interesssted in waiting a long time to get the deal done.

Any tips for the deal beside public area, free wifi and counterfeit money?

Thanks a lot!

Go for an ATM, it's much more safe and saves lot of time. Just imagine the whole time you would been looking for a right man for a trade.
Considering the fees that he will end up paying to get the transaction done if he wants to go the P2P way, then it may end up equal to what the ATM may actually end up giving him or even close. For such a transaction, the OP will pay quite a good number for fee which may even take days to get confirmed, but with the ATM, that is a go, you get your cash straight up. No stress!

Face to face transaction in selling Bitcoin is a good way to avoid being scammed however keep in mind that the person you are dealing with is a complete stranger and this stranger may have something else in his mind and its not to exchange his fiat to BTC or vise versa. Don't meet alone, ask someone you know to be with you so if anything bad happens there is someone who can help you out right away.
Face to face is good, however, with the transaction issue, most people may even be skeptical releasing any cash unless they see at least a confirmation, which we both know is hard to quickly see now unless you use a very high fee. It is what it is and from the look of things and depending on how urgent he needs it, his best bet may actually be the ATM.
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts crash again ? on: December 26, 2017, 11:32:15 AM
Will altcoins crash again ?
I am sure you are referring to the crash that happened before the bitcoin gold fork and the segwit2x fork that was expected but did not happen.

It could happen and it may not but if you have missed the chance to buy at those dips, then you may not really have much chance in the future as some of them are getting pumped badly now and unless we actually see some scenarios that can cause that, it is not something that should be expected that much.
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin for Regular Transactions on: December 26, 2017, 10:47:46 AM
Do you use any altcoin for regular transactions? Which one?

I want to know which alt is best when it comes to regular transactions?
It needs to have two major features: Quick transactions and small fees.
So which one is best at that according to you?

i think ETH or ethereum wil be good for crypto transaction
But, about fee.... that is flexible..
i mean, if price pump absolustly fee will be up...
If you are really looking for one right now, Ethereum may not actually be the top on the list.
For me, I still prefer making use of LTC for regular transactions, pretty fast without any hassle. Not like BTC that you will have to wait sometimes a whole day to get a transaction done even for a high fee, but I know we will get there anyway when it would become a thing of the past.
1309  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I only have 200$ per month ! on: December 25, 2017, 06:01:56 PM
I think it is better to invest on new coins rather than bitcoin, since the trading with other coin may have a good rise. Bitcoin also can be profitable if you be wise and can trade at a suitable situation.
Investing in new coins or just settling with trading can actually increase what you have. I started trading with $150 and I have been able to increase what I have and also buy into some of the coins that I trade which I know will have prospect in the long run. It has been awesome anyway and I see it as an opportunity to keep growing what you have.

new coins don't have any track or any clue to be our way to earn money. but if you can do with bitcoin then I think you have you're own chance to earn money.
Some coins really do and it depends on how each person is able to research and find the prospect in a coin. Yes, it is a very unpredictable world and no one can say what will happen to a coin and even with the team, no one can still say if the coin will be a success or not, but with a very good team, it is usually very hard not to see a good coin succeed.
1310  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: December 25, 2017, 05:19:42 PM
To earn Bitcoin in this forum, it's not really difficult but you need to work really really hard,  read a lot of article about Bitcoin in this forum to get more knowledge beside you should also increase your rank to higher rank first, there are a lot of Bitcoin signature campaign but they often accept account rank from Member or Full Member and above.
It is even like the easiest thing to ever come by. I do not know why someone in a year would even be proud enough to open a topic on this forum and state that he has not made a single dime. It is either such a person has been busy sleeping or they are just so dumb to research to see how they can earn even if they do not want to buy in.Maybe I am just being too harsh though.
1311  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin on: December 25, 2017, 02:41:27 PM
It was now around $16,100 and I think there's more to come since there's too much attention bitcoin cash is getting. After the news came out about the co-owner of bitcoin.com "sold all his bitcoins for bitcoin cash" many started to panic and did sold all of their bitcoins and it made a big contribution for the price to go down. And I wonder if there will be another news that says bitcoin.com co-owner "doubled his bitcoins after he sold his bitcoin cash during the pump."
I am sure we are going to keep having some sideways movement for a while now until we break out and a clear run now may just be around the $16000 resistance.

This is not the first time Roger Ver is going to pulling some stunts and I am really trying to see where that leads him, and I pity those who are trying to fall into the show with him because what he is doing is just pretty absurd, but good for him for dropping the legacy coin for some of us that really needed it.
1312  Economy / Economics / Re: Black friday crypto correction on: December 24, 2017, 07:49:58 PM
with the big correction going on in crypto currencies what would be the best buy ?
Anytime now is a very good buy and even if it dips the more, it is still a good buy. No one knows how long the dip is going to keep on, but I am sure it is not going to be a lot terrible than we are having it already. If you can monitor the charts to watch out for a perfect break out back to the top, or to see how things will work out, then it is good you just buy now or make a decision that suits you. At least if you are buying now, you are really buying at a very huge discount from the ATH bro.
1313  Economy / Economics / Re: People are extremely biased towards bitcoin. on: December 24, 2017, 07:18:44 PM
Most people here and reddit will defend bitcoin no matter what instead of looking at the problems. Every time someone comments something about the speed or transaction fees they will just yell ''FUD'' or ''Another attack on bitcoin'' but it's not always that. I have been a strong supporter of bitcoin myself but we have to face it, it's not in a good position right now, sure the price is great but what else? Insane fees that are not getting solved any time soon? I know the demand is high but the ones that are buying are just buying to sell eventually not to support bitcoin, not to use it. The demand will eventually fade away and what do we have left? An outdated bitcoin that won't be able to compete with better coins.

Transaction fees bothers most of the people especially small fund earning cannot able to exchange their bitcoins in the needy time. But you will find bitcoin transaction fees recovered with the effect of upcoming fork.
Most of the trollers will be always goes on pulling down and give information like it is been used on buying and etc.

That's another issue to be honest, all these forks are getting out of hand. Also people still think that bitcoin is a currency but who uses bitcoin as a currency right now? Even the developers that maintain bitcoin's code right now think bitcoin should be treated as a store of value not as a payment option.
It is really a big issue and everyone just seem to be quiet about it and huge supporters will blast you if you yell the truth. I have made a transaction on bitcoin now and it has been five days even after paying a huge amount of bitcoin with a huge equivalence in dollars to get it confirmed.

It sucks really when I can just use another currency to get this done faster. If this goes on, things can change and it is just a matter of time before we started seeing another digital currency leading the way.
1314  Economy / Economics / Re: short term investment or long term invesetment on: December 24, 2017, 06:20:39 PM
I prefer for the long term investment because I am aiming for my goal in the future specifically buying house on my own and to put up my own business to help generate income for my family and for the future as well and also for my retirement.
Yes it will, and those are the only ones who can really get the best from it in the long run. The only downside may not even be waiting for a long period of time; some heartache could be having huge downfalls in between like we are having now and then panicking for no reason at all. So far so good, I still believe so much that bitcoin would really give people the chance to enjoy a good life in the future irrespective of what is happening now.
1315  Economy / Economics / Re: Largest bubble ever? Only the fourth so far! on: December 24, 2017, 05:41:21 PM
There are two bubbles, and don't confuse them. Crypto as a whole is definitely in a bubble as everyone has lost their minds over blockchain and anything crypto-related (see all the public companies invoking blockchain without real business plans and their stocks explode anyway). Bitcoin itself is a bubble within the world of crypto. The Bitcoin bubble can pop without the over all crypto bubble popping, for example if everyone decides to "diversify" out of Bitcoin and into alts, the crypto bubble itself can still grow while the Bitcoin bubble pops.
The whole craziness actually started when people were just seeing bitcoin as their consolation to wealth rather than looking at the main thing that makes it what it is. The bubble just popped and it is crazy because no one knows how long this shit is going down now and it is even affecting the whole market.

People have not gotten scared yet, we will see how much those who think they have gotten quick access to wealth will start shivering now. We really need that sanity back.
1316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: advice for multiple gain on: December 23, 2017, 07:34:49 PM
my advice is be patient investing. pick a good coin to invest in and hold it for a month or more. im sure you will receive a profit somehow
Yeah, patience is needed. First rule is not to be a FOMO and get into any coin when it is pumping. I would rather wait once I have missed the moment and look for another undervalued coin to invest in, knowing that there is at least a possibility of getting something tangible from it and even if the market gets up and come back down, I still have my investment intact than buying at the peak.

The last dump of alts was the perfect timing and anyone who missed them already missed something good.
1317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no one is ready to copy clam coin concept but simply copying bitcoincash on: December 23, 2017, 05:13:16 PM
One basic and significant differences : Clams coin's distribution was based on number of wallet/address (of BTC,LTC and DOGE) whereas bitcoincash is based on how many of BTC. Probably this difference alone would have led devs not to go based on CLAMS' concept. I am not a technical expert to mention out why we have not seen any CLAMS-2 yet I assume we may see one in near future too.
1318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people actually buy coins with real life money? on: December 23, 2017, 04:09:22 PM
Yes, they buy constantly. People sell real estate and other property and invest money in Bitcoin. They spend all their savings. There is a real fever.
Lol. People cannot be that insane to sell all they have for that course and even if there are, just very few.
Anyone who is even wise will not have done that during the whole crazy rise recently. The problem is that bitcoin switched from a valuable currency to a bubble and that is the reason why we are seeing what we are seeing right now.

That does not mean some true believers still do not buy though, but I hope the scaling problem does not make them to start having huge doubts in the real currency value of bitcoin and switching to alts.
1319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to preditct coin price? on: December 23, 2017, 03:24:36 PM
i really don't understand how the price increase or decrease?i saw that price coin changes randomly. If anyone help to know trading,I will be very grateful.
Hope you will join in the group of some user who are giving signals for those coins that having potential to increase its value and me i earn good profit because of the signals given by other users here in the forum.
Me i am not good in prediction that is why i am holding long term coin and much trusted coin to lessen ghe risk of my investment. Then i have fund for holding and fund for trading and this is the best way to earn good income specially if you do this regularly.
Anyone can do what those guys calling signals are doing and the truth is that some people just do not want to learn.

However, if all you do is follow signals, without having your own brain to use when signal that has been called is going wrong, then it will be hard for you to ever make profit. Some good signals will tell you when to get out anyway. No one can really give a right prediction, but at least some analysis can let you know what can be expected.
1320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long awaited Bitcoin correction(+) on: December 23, 2017, 01:12:22 PM
bitcoin is going down whats happening  Shocked will it rise again Huh
Don't worry and don't panic sell your bitcoins, it's just a correction. price will shoot up again and go higher and higher. Cheesy
Lol. That may not be this year though. I guess everyone shouting crash is seeing good times to buy more now. It is good it happened though, otherwise, it would have been a crazy ride for a lot of people in the long run, if the market did not come back to the sanity mode.

For now, there is a lot of indecision and those who are even shorting right now are taking huge risks. Very soon, we should see the market back to normal and like you said, higher and higher and higher.
