1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's effect Facebook banned will have on ICOs today on: February 07, 2018, 04:41:11 PM
Facebook have it new policy pertaining to initial coins offerings 'ICOs' . The policy specifically prohibits ads that promote ICO on it platform.
The banned is due to the fact there are so many companies who are advertising ICOs that are not currently operating in good standards and faith.
In the meantime, Facebook is encouraging people to report content that violates this new policy.
What effect do you think this will have on ICOs and future  of cryptocurrencies?
Facebook, as a place where there are any and all people wasn't the best place to advertise ICOs anyway, so this won't influence crowdfunding process much. Apart from the specialized forums, like Bitcointalk, there are still Reddit and Quora Smiley
It really would not have much influence on ICOs. Google ads are still often used for ICOs, twitter at least for now still available and some other various options as well. A lot of real investors are even hardly found on Facebook anyway. Most of them make use of some ICO listing webs, or twitter to get ICOs they can partake in. So at the end, Facebookwill just have a very minute impact that won't be felt at all.

Firstly, Facebook is not the only platform that adverts are done, and even though automatically Instagram is affected, I really do not see how this can have a huge effect on ICOs. Twitter is still there, articles are written to promote ICOs, the forum is also there as well and there are some websites that ICOs are promoted as well. At the end of it all, ICO's progress is not tied to Facebook’s advert.
1182  Economy / Economics / Re: The lack of financial education on: February 07, 2018, 02:19:33 PM
This is the reason why many student can't pursue to continue their studies because of lack of financial.
We all know that finishing studies has an opportunity to find a good job but now thay couldn't finish that one..
But when they have a plan to pursue right now financial stability it's not problem anymore if they joined bitcoin as their earnings.I recommend for all the studend who have eager to study but they can't finish that they joined bitcoin earning as a sideline. Many things happened in bitcoin and we don't know if you given a chance to be a millionaire eventhough youre a student.
Financial education does not have anything to do with pursuing your studies. In fact, that is a huge line of study on its own and if you read what the OP said, he is just utterly concerned that some people are limited to the space they are learning and rather than making financial education and some ways they can help themselves to be wealthy by taking some opportunities, they have little or no knowledge to be able to achieve that. For me, I feel anyone who is serious about life will not have to wait for the government to achieve this but take it up on themselves.
1183  Economy / Economics / Re: until when will the bounty program remain? on: February 07, 2018, 11:55:16 AM
First of all it is not a gift program. That is bounties and a alt job for us, as bounty hunters. Bounty ICO end depends of what happened to tha project, sometimes they a lot 1-2months, because they have pre sale of tokens, and sale of tokens.
Some may count it as gift, simply if they do not know their worth. This is more of a business or real work kind of thing. I have something to offer that can work for your project, how much are you willing to offer ?

If it is cool, then you take it. It is crazy seeing people devalue themselves, thinking it is a gift, when it is obviously what they worked for. If it was not helping the companies in their ICOs, do we think they will care less about giving out coins for free ?
Even airdrops will still have little task to give.
1184  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Hacking is the Big Problem on: February 07, 2018, 08:43:55 AM
Guys…

I read the new the Japanese Exchange Coincheck loses ¥58 billion in the hacking attack. It’s not a single case in this after a few weeks ago Etherdelta was also Hacked. So how can we ensure that our money is safe on exchanges?

this is one of the main reasons many of us recommend to not put the most of your money on exchanges. The safest way to keep your money is into your own wallet, where you have full control. Otherwise you are at the mercy of similar events.
Some people trade, so there is really no way everyone can stay away from exchanges. However, it is always good to be safe and make sure that the security of one's account is strong enough. Although, this is not a full guarantee but at least, it should be a start. A lot of events like this have happened in the past, and unfortunately, they will still happen, which is why I keep telling people that some exchanges are actually a no go area.

But hacking is even worse in bitcoin, in banking you can get your money bank, it is a hassle but it can be done, but in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general once that money is outside your wallet there is nothing that can be done to get that money back this is why hackers are turning their attention to bitcoin since they know not only they will keep the funds but it is likely they are going to get away with it.
Which is why no one should put any asset they cannot afford to lose on any exchange. This is something that we have to live with for now and best to always stay with exchanges that can be trusted which have been able to avert hacking attempt in the past than just going for the new ones. Also, it is best to always split funds in different trusted exchanges to at least have them spread around.
1185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Keep a Cool Head. Play Your Cards Right and Wait. on: February 07, 2018, 07:56:32 AM
Well said. I think a lot of new investors don't realize your last point - the need to stay in the game until the red goes. It's the fundamental rule of cryptoinvestment as it's not a zero-sum game, it doesn't need to be a zero-sum game, every one of us can win since we're all early adopter. All you must do is HODL and wait until you're in the green to sell. It's as simple as that.
We are still in the very early stage and people really do not know how long we are going to get or they really do not have that great belief in bitcoin right now, which is why they panic unnecessarily. The best thing at moments like this, most especially for those who could not sell at the top is to keep holding, the greens will be back again, and for those who sold, best time to buy back is just now.

I learned my lessons a while back when the market came back green and a whole lot of these coins as low as they are, are even more than the value I sold them back then. The thing is that, the best thing is to always hold, forget the market rampage, buy in if you have some fiats lying around and see it as a good time to have some good bags for good times ahead.
1186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the bitcoin price going down? on: February 06, 2018, 06:42:21 PM
Why is the bitcoin price going down? Sad Sad
All the matters are confined in simple words, it's panic selling. Damn rally of continuous regulation on crypto exchange and mostly spreading of FUD is the culprit of price dipping.
And to top it up, that panic selling is one of the reasons why we give the institutions the upper hand in the market. I would not blame anyone though, there is really no good news for bitcoin right now and I see no reason why the buying momentum will skyrocket, but all the same, this kind of period is normal for any market, but the best is to keep all hopes high.

A lot of FUD is going around, a massive correction going on after a pretty big huge rise that almost turned to a bubble, and then the whales and institutions stepping in.

However, this is nothing to be worried about. We are getting close to the despondency stage, the market will recover and then you will start seeing the hope being raised up all over again. It has happened before, it will happen again, good you have experienced it now so you can have something to tell upcoming newbies.
1187  Economy / Economics / Re: How can you manage potential losses during a crash on: February 06, 2018, 06:08:47 PM
A lot can happen in 20 days that will mess up your theoretical strategy! What if a huge negative news comes in and the price drops $1500 or more, and then instead of recovering the following day, it drops $500 more! How does one use your suggestion to counter the loss especially when fear leading to panic selling is stronger than most strategies in a bearish market?
A lot can even happen within 1 minute when there is a huge dump or panic sell based on some expectation in the market. Sure, he may have dropped it as a suggestion, but in this market, it seems like something that is highly risky to do. For anyone who is unfortunate enough not to have detected the bearish trend long ago and sell to be able to buy back when a bullish trend is about to start, then there is really no need for them to bother themselves selling anymore. They should just hold even if they are going to end up getting the best of their investment in 2 years.
1188  Economy / Economics / Re: You're not wealthy yet, so you're not allowed to be wealthy on: February 06, 2018, 04:14:55 PM
It's not even a requirement in ico that you have to be wealthy first, i've known many who started in cryptos as poor and yet they become rich. Change your perspective so that you'll attract more positive vibes. Just have to be patient and do your job.
Well, back then it was easy to invest as little as few dollars into ICOs. Check around, things are changing now and most of them are gradually trying to eliminate those with few cash to invest. So it is either you are ready to risk a lot or not.

We cannot fight this, it has been there and everyone can decide to make the decision they want on how they want to run their company, therefore, the poor ones can look for an opportunity to work and earn it, at least which is an opportunity, rather than complaining about how the world is unfair. A lot of people had to work hard and pretty smart before getting to that spot of being wealthy.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you save money while playing gambling games? on: February 06, 2018, 02:23:34 PM
If you think that as an obligation you can definitely learn how to save money.
It's very important for our future as we cannot be certain of what will happen in the future, we should allocate funds for emergency situation in life
and of course an amount that we can use for leisure and investing in order to grow our money.

People with family and other responsibilities should always be careful with money being invested in gambling related activities. The monthly earnings should be allocated for different purposes. Personally, I do not spend more than 10% of my monthly earnings on gambling related activities and I am still single. The people who have just started to gamble should be more cautious as it could be very tempting with initial wins.
Would not it be better suggesting newbies to flee away while the have a chance to ?
I think, that is the right guidance. Also, just because you are single does not mean it is right to think that you have a window for gambling. Even ten percent of your earning should not be wasted away. You appear to me a sensible person with some serious aim of life. Gambling is not a good game in every sense.
1190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: February 06, 2018, 08:49:35 AM
Staying without gambling is a big challenges to us, because it is a part of human being. Gambling is regarding dealing with the others, for example you are dealing for a business it is also gambling even without doing anything. All things have a risks is a part of gambling but it's up to us if we do literally gambling or not.
Yes and specially those people who have become addcited to gamblng. In fact addicted people cannot stay away for a single day from gambling, they want to play gambling daily. To me i personally addicted to gambling and i really find it to hard to stop gambling for a single day, i always manage to make myself free for playing gambling daily and never compromise to quit it for a single day.
i guess not,i can stand without gambling for life,as i am not really engaged i this kind of activity,I played gambling for fun,but if someones require me not to play i am pleased to do it with all my heart,my family dont bring us to life with gambling,my father and mother kow nothing about gambling.mei just learn from some friends but not all types i know, just a few
I would not be so confident if I were you. You see, apparently gambling is not any harm and ones feel lie he can give up at any time he wants to so he actually does not give up and keeps on playing. Then with the passage of time, without him realizing, gambling becomes his habit and after losing some amount, he tries to get rid of it, but that is too late. So, I suggest you to stop playing it anymore.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: February 06, 2018, 08:20:47 AM
many of us still continue playing gambling because they still want to try their luck and some of them is not thinking to be a winner and they only playing gambling to have fun. personally, I still playing gambling because of fun and I don't spend too much money in the gambling games because I know my chance to win is not big so it is better to enjoy the games only. I can spend my time with my friends in the gambling sites even if we are loss because we can use chat facility to talks with the other.
Those who claim to gamble for fun purpose only, it is easy to stop the game anytime they wish to. But just be honest, how many gamblers are actually able to do this. You can go around reading few threads in this section and you will come to know that even such people are unable to stop themselves at the right time.  Which means gambling is addictive in nature. I firmly believe where there is money there is always attraction.

in this matter, dedication and self control is needed,,you must be mentally capacitate to make this thing..i am not a gambler also i only play for fun but there comes a time when i am enjoying playing with my real friends and leads to losing much than I budgeted.so i respected you because of that kind of self control
Yeah, we should just accept the realities at once without just lurking upon the fact that a person might be seeking fun behind his gambling games and his aim is not actually money and so on. We all know that money being a basic need of life is something that doesn’t gives you a choice at all to care about it or not. You have no other option instead of seeking ways to earn it and gambling is just one of them.
1192  Economy / Economics / Re: do you really like crypto coin? on: February 06, 2018, 07:45:39 AM
I also like cryto currency because it really helps me to earn extra bucks. I usually join bounty campaigns and it really helps. Once your lucky that the coins you have as payment for bounty program was a huge success then it is really very rewarding.
Yes, if it is o then you have got a reason to like the digital world of money. As far as I am concerned I have yet not indulged myself in the game because of the reason that this is not something quite reliable like the things do not get stable anytime and it is a kind of rush that is not going to get my mind relaxed at anytime. So, I don’t want myself to get depressed over matters like dumping and hacking issues along with a is to be worried about.
1193  Economy / Economics / Re: Is institutional capital good or bad for Bitcoin? on: February 05, 2018, 08:15:13 PM
I believe its has both good and bad effects. Good because such institutions would be putting up their investment in bitcoins which means they also knew that there is a big opportunity to earn from it. While on the other hand it would be risky too because there is a possibility of monopolizing the current market due to its high demand in the market.
This is really why we need bitcoin to be more of a usable currency than just a speculative asset as that would give them more chance to take hold of the market strongly and be able to control it however they wish and like. These are guys who have been living their lives manipulating the fiat system, what makes us think the same will not happen in this scenario with bitcoin. I am still sure what we are experiencing right now is institutional played, so the answer to the OP's question is glaring from what we are seeing in the market presently.

I wonder why this was not attended to since December. Even though your's was post busting, it is good this is brought up. I have asked myself this question several times and to me, I just end up seeing room for pretty much manipulation. Unfortunately, a lot of people are panicking and giving them the chance to be able to have more hold in the market, but I am not sure if this would really mean much in the long run on the amount they are going to be sitting on. I am sure they are having this moment already and we can see how that is leading us. At the end, I only see bitcoin ending up as a store of value with the look of things.
1194  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't worry, the market will not fall forever. on: February 05, 2018, 07:40:54 PM
Whata great news now. Yes guys do Hodl and Let's bitcoin will become more powerful when months past away I know and I believe that those who believe and hodl will soon get the benefits of this. Dump is just a part of the game without it we have no Gains. Yes, the market will not fall forever and very soon it will go pump again and go to the moon again. Watch out guys.
Only thing some people do not understand now is that, unless you are a trader and you know what you are doing which obviously, a good trader would have sold a long time ago and find a better spot to buy back now, then asides that, it is best to hold.
Selling now is more like giving whales and institutions your money. They know how to play with the market, emotionally, psychologically, and in every way, so the best is to HODL, the bull rally will definitely start over again.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Was Your Gambling in 2017? on: February 05, 2018, 05:08:40 PM
I think my gambling in 2017 is good although I don't think about the winning, I enjoy playing gambling on the gambling site. I know about the risk on the gambling site and I know I cannot expect to be a winner in one or more games because, in gambling, it is about the luck that we should have so we can win the games. I think I could still play again in this year and I only want to have fun in the gambling games.

I am also involved in gambling for fun. To earn from it or to completely rely on it, you have to master it and it will require a lot of dedication. Moreover, initially you will have to invest a lot of money in learning if you are trying with real websites. Otherwise, it is a good idea to practice on demo sites first where no deposit is required.
Cool dude! But all I am getting from your talk is that you are not having much confidence in your own powers.
Either you have been trying or so many times and always ending up with the same result that is a failure or it is just a part of your nature to be diffident about your results. I think that you must continue with the game but be bit more passionate and self reliant otherwise it is not gonna work at all.
1196  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit not for sale! on: February 01, 2018, 02:40:59 PM
there is no good reason to give a merit to a close friend or work partner, it's the same as selling a merit in my opinion.
Rewarding merits to insubstantial posts or rewarding for the reason for friend or anything else must be a breach of forum rules and which may lead to get negged. We need to understand the true purpose of merit system and we must contribute up to the level we can for fighting against spamming.

how to get merit?
Just write quality posts. As simple as 123...
1197  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying Coins on: February 01, 2018, 01:57:38 PM
I think the best option and the most profitable is to buy and sell to friends, but you can also try P2P and BTC.
Unfortunately people here are not preferring trading themselves. Most of forum members are preferring buying/selling with exchanges. One probable reason could be, practical problems like delay in finding buyer/seller and need of escrow. Still, if you check on altcoin marketplace there you can find lots of people are dealing for different coins.

Honestly, I always like emphasizing to deal in decentralized way. We must open a topic here and need to announce like want to buy/sell one coin for this price like that. So, that people will deal as per their wish without the fear of getting struck into scammy exchanges.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: January 31, 2018, 02:07:38 PM
personally, I still playing gambling because of fun and I don't spend too much money in the gambling games because I know my chance to win is not big so it is better to enjoy the games only. I can spend my time with my friends in the gambling sites even if we are loss because we can use chat facility to talks with the other.
You can enjoy gambling as much as you want to, but the thing is, your gambling activity should not impact your life style nor into your responsibilities. As long as we are able to keep our gambling activities separate then there will be no harm of continuing gambling. Then why people suggest to quit gambling ? The simple answer for that should be the scenario OP stated. When we have left with some little money and we are having some commitment for that money then we should able to quit gambling for that occasions.

Otherwise we can mark ourselves as an addict to gambling which must be a worst situation where things will be out of our control. Simply when we are in control then we can continue gambling. That's all about gambling.
1199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you save money while playing gambling games? on: January 31, 2018, 12:58:33 PM
Being as a gambler.. You just need to be wise,.if you are a gambler person, you need to have a mind-set. And you know how to handle the game while you are losing some of you're money. But think of it you can keep some of you're money just to earn.

Set your goal and commit on that because when you’re in that situation its hard to control yourself if you don’t have specific goal. We can actually save some profit if we really want to do it, but I think gamblers will still keep on playing no matter how much they earn, and its because of greed.
Greed will destroy everything for sure. But we cannot say all gamblers are having greediness also that is the reason they are into gambling. Because even fun seeking gamblers also unable to save as they need to spend some money for their entertainment even they are not greedy about making more profits out of gambling.

Gambling is like a hole in your pocket. Whatever amount you will be filling out into your packet, will never find it get filled up. This is how gambling destroying all of us. In my experience it will be too hard to save money along with playing gambling games. We have to focus on only one thing, it would be better if we turn ourselves into saving rather than focusing on gambling,
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question/Poll - Will you invest 0.01 BTC to win 100 BTC? on: January 31, 2018, 11:47:48 AM
Personally I won't participate, instead of playing lottery I will invest that into trading even in a small start chances to earn will be much better, and with the flow of your business I guess you should use gamble and not to invest, as investment have some much bigger assurance to earn and not just risking your hard earn money.
I too hate lotteries. Even OP is offering for 100 satoshi, I believe I will not prefer to participate in any kind of lotteries as I do not believe into making of easy money. Yes, basically I do not depend on my luck factor to favor me for any financial help. I learned this fact from gambling in a hard way. So, getting back to the same beginning point after many hassles will not be giving any meaning for my hard work.

Instead of testing my luck with lotteries, I would definitely prefer to invest into any promising ICOs. Because, there I am confident that I will be making some returns for my investment. I am capable of finding good project so why not trying ?
