3281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 23, 2020, 09:01:20 AM
~
Wilder looks very tired, we don't know if he overtrained in this fight, those swags are not there. Or maybe the first knock down took everything from him. His balance is was really affected.

I just watched the replay and Wilder looks to be out of shape since the first round. Fury was just rolling through Wilder's right hand punches like they were nothing. His legs were simply not there and it could be due to a bad weight cut. I believe his corner knows that and threw the towel.

With how this fight ended, there is no need for a Fury-Wilder 3. I would like to see Fury vs. Joshua next.
3282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Clock on: February 23, 2020, 08:29:53 AM
I can't remember how many users have created similar topics like this and I don't think there's a need to have another one.
Anyone who is interested to know the timer on halving can easily search for them on google too.
3283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Destroying Bitcoin with a single question on: February 23, 2020, 08:19:10 AM
Let's just reduce this post to "Bitcoin is backed by nothing" type of argument and its value is determined by the people who uses it. This has been raised plenty of times before and yet bitcoin is still alive. Never destroyed.

Let's suppose that you bought all the fiat currencies in the world and you decide not to sell them. How can you benefit from them? Well you can wait a couple of months and then visit the banks that issued them to claim an enormous wealth in the form of land, buildings, machines, equipment and other property that the banks seized from the borrowers.
The banks can simply print as many fiat as they can and they will never run out of it. They can also declare that those fiats you bought to be out of circulation and just devalue them.

Finally, let's suppose that you bought all the bitcoins in the world and you decide not to sell them. How can you benefit from them? To put it another way. After said purchase, all you have is a number in a computer memory - 18.232.575 (bitcoins currently in circulation). Let's suppose that I open my Excel spreadsheet and put the same number into it -> 18.232.575. Now we both have equal records in a computer memory.
...but no one else can prove ownership other than the owner of the wallet keys/seed containing those bitcoins by signing a message. You can have as many people with spreadsheets and the same number but can they prove that they really have it? NO.

Can you buy something and send bitcoin as payment just by using a spreadsheet? NO.
3284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can decentralization be applied to protest movements ? on: February 23, 2020, 07:51:28 AM
I've seen the the two images you shared but I can't seem to find articles that supports your statement that lifting the ban on crypto is one of the protester's demands. There's this article - ALGERIA EMBROILED IN POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC UNREST – TIME TO LIFT BITCOIN BAN? - where it says "Bitcoin has managed to prove itself as a viable alternative to fiat currencies in times of political and economic unrest" but there's still no mention about the demand. Out of the millions of protesters, there's probably a few who are thinking about bitcoin.

3285  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bitcoin halving to increase cryptocurrencies prices. on: February 23, 2020, 07:13:20 AM
With the halving event getting closer, I read some posts about increasing number of bitcoin related searches on google and the increasing number of scam crypto giveaways on different platforms. They're not conclusive but they somehow tells us that there's an increasing interest and/or that something big is coming (i.e. btc price pump to new ATH).

~ I am just new here. I have deleted it. I will try all my possible best to write quality posts. And, I know now to not beg for merit. Thank you for telling me.
We have another fake newbie I guess.

But, hope the post is useful and interesting?

Isa na dyan ang Binance - Binance Partners with Coinfirm to Protect the Global Cryptocurrency Economy and Ensure Compliance with FATF AML Rules

Tiyak magulo to sa umpisa,  Grin

3287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe Coingecko's Exchange Liquidity rank? on: February 23, 2020, 04:31:32 AM
Coinmarketcap introduced its Liquidity Metric not too long ago.
Coingecko introduced its Trust Score in May last year.

Each of these platforms have their own metrics (formula) of determining "real" volume but do not expect them to be 100% accurate. Instead of arguing about the scores or rankings of these exchanges on their websites, why don't you read how they are ranked instead?

I'm putting the links for everyone's convenience:

If you still have problems with those two, there are plenty of sites to choose from - Sites for Crypto Market Watch
3288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind ALTCOINS not bouncing Back on: February 23, 2020, 04:09:35 AM
Since last few months almost majority of trader/Investor are seems like hopeless or bored from this dead marked,
I cannot say with 100% certainty but a lot of members in this forum has somewhat turned "negative" against altcoins until now and that's probably where your statement is coming from. Outside this forum, I still see a lot of guys on twitter and youtube hunting altcoins on different exchanges and discussing them on their platforms.

D) Worst reasoning why Alt market will not be bounce back at the position where it was before all this mess is
Most project dump their whole supply in market on its investors.
Are you talking about projects who exit scammed? If not, can you name some of these "most projects" that dumped their whole supply? AFAIK, a good portions of premined tokens of most projects are still locked up.
3289  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Fake Airdrops on Facebook on: February 22, 2020, 09:10:08 AM
~
May gumagamit pa pala ng Facebook ngayon? ~

I would guess na FB pa din ang most used app dito sa Pinas.

Really didn't expect na gagamitin pa nila ang airdrop to execute their scam scheme.
This isn't the first time na nakita ko ganitong style.

3290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto whales hacked, lost $15M BTC and $30M BCH on: February 22, 2020, 08:33:07 AM
It's hard to believe stories like this. It could have been staged by the owner to run away from obligations (i.e. taxes). Who would really store a huge amount on their mobile phone? And to say that he is a security expert makes it even worse. If it were true, did he really asked for the miners to rollback?

Hawak nila keys mo eh.

3293  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: The Two Best Investment on: February 21, 2020, 05:11:42 PM
I kinda feel awkward when talking about investments or best investments lalo na kung hindi mo naman nasubukan yung mga sinasabing mong types of investment. We don't even know for sure kung yung author ng article ay investor nga talaga sa mga nabanggit niya or nabasa lang din niya sa libro.

I would 100% agree na one of the best investment is yourself pero yung isa pang "best" ay subjective dito, nakadepende yan sa mismong experience ng investors.

Take this for example:

Quote
The more na tumatagal ang lupa, mas tumataas value nya so maganda rin sya pang long term investment.
Given na marami ngang nag-succeed sa real estate, it doesn't necessarily apply to everyone. There are still factors to consider. It's true na permanent ang lupa but does it automatically increases in value over time (not considering inflation)? Depende pa din yan sa location. Before investing here, better check if there will be future developments in the area. Take into consideration also yung timing.

3296  Other / Meta / Re: How to Quote a Post in Bitcointalk Posts. on: February 21, 2020, 09:17:37 AM
Taking a closer look at the links you provided, I am quite certain that the OP doesn't know how to do it properly. OP's supposedly new report is also part of a quote. His/her question is probably genuine.

~
Took a look again at both links, and OP has deleted them for some reason LOL, instead of removing the probably-not-on-purpose quote tags. So yea probably genuine.
Too bad. OP didn't expect the attention and must have panicked.
3297  Economy / Services / Re: Need To Start ANN Post - How Much? on: February 21, 2020, 09:05:47 AM
~ Buying merits is against the rules, ~
Is it? I know it is frowned upon by legit members but I haven't seen anyone getting banned for buying or selling merits. NeuroticFish already posted a thread for reference. There were also cases were merits sent were rolled back by admin but I can't remember if that was related to merit trading.

@OP, your best option really is buying a copper membership. The cost could be higher at first but it's only a one time payment to enable you to post without the newbie restrictions and you also have full control of the thread. It's cheaper in the long run compared to buying the services of higher rank members and buying merits.

When it comes to account trust, you will be able to build that also if your project is legit and if you are serious in building it.
3298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you share at least one gambler who have become rich in gambling? on: February 20, 2020, 11:15:16 AM
A quick search on the internet and I found this https://millionairemob.com/richest-gamblers-in-the-world/

They've been banned from playing in casinos for their abilities and because they won a lot (needless to say  Grin).
I don't know what you mean by proof but I hope the articles are good enough. You can dig deeper if you want to verify them.
3299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: February 20, 2020, 10:48:56 AM
Why not DEX? Inconvenient for most users and don't have enough volume for active traders.

maximum decentralized exchanger is difficult to understand for newbie.in my personal opinion Decentralized exchanger take time to load, user interface and take and it's not easy to make a trade for newbie.if newbie don't know how to use decentralized exchanger then they have risk to loss his money,First time I alost few bucks in etherdelta and few days ago I saw a comment where one trader telling that he lost his money in binance dex.though this is not exchanger fault,That was my fault.
It's not the decentralized exchanges' fault if users do not learn how to use the exchange first before trading there. DEXs maybe slower to load and have less appealing UI but if that's the price to pay to keep your privacy and anonymity, then it should be worth it to use. The problem with people having issues with using DEX other than volume is that they simply want convenience that CEXs brings. They become impatient to understand how a DEX works.

I was once a newbie but I took the time to learn how to trade on ED, FD, IDEX, and BDEX that's why I never lost funds.

Announcement: We have excluded one Full Member for not wearing the signature and today we will announce a new participant who will be selected from those who had previously applied.

The user Spider A4 didn't stop wearing the signature but was permanently banned from the forum. Banned accounts are stripped of their signatures.

Thank you for clarification.

In any case, his slot will be filled with a new participant today.
No problem. Best of luck finding the best replacement.
