3301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stupid Mining Question on: November 28, 2021, 02:16:21 AM
You can either mine with GPUs or with ASICS. Right now it’s difficult finding either at a bargain. And buying new you need to pay above MSRP.

ASICS mine coins like BTC, LTC, Doge, etc. They are a box looking machine, very loud but very stable. GPUs are what gamers use but you got like 5-10 in each rig.

My advice just hold on to your alts or invest in other assets. Mining is tough to start right now.
3302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: where are these cryptos going;!!! on: November 27, 2021, 04:38:10 AM

Are cryptocurrencies losing their appeal? Where do you see which important crypto money in the future? How do you interpret the sudden fall of cryptocurrencies? Apart from BNB, SOL, BTC, ETH, do you think there are other cryptos that can be popular?

BTC hit ATH about 2-3 weeks ago and you are thinking they are losing their appeal? Everywhere I go I see people looking at cryptos on their phone or discussing cryptos with the people they are talking too. We got ads by Crypto.com on TV and billboards and stadiums are getting named.

Sure we had a rough week however we needed a pullback... too many people were thinking BTC would hit $98K at the end of Nov. Those people need to be flushed from the market.
3303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PCIe extension cables on: November 27, 2021, 04:34:21 AM
That seems like a decent brand so I would trust it, however if you are  going to be ordering from alibaba for like $3 I would be cautious at the fact that those cheap extension cables usually use a higher (thinner) guage and many times they are not crimped properly. I had this issue in the past.

Didnt want to spend lots of money from quality brands so tried these cheap ones and the issue was that they were very thin AND i noticed they were crimped poorly and bad connection at the pins.

I just ordered some wires, pins and a crimp tool and make my own from now on. Go on youtube, there are videos on how to do this.
3304  Economy / Economics / Re: 2.5 million US truckers say they'll quit over vaccine mandate on: November 27, 2021, 04:24:20 AM
Yeah in Canada I read that there was like 120,000 truckers and 20% are not vaccinated. And by the deadline most likely the percentage will be closer to 10-15% or so. And these are not the local truckers but the ones that go thru the USA and back. The supply shortages right now are already bad for certain products and if 15-20% of truckers can't cross borders then its going to make it even worse.

Like the above posters have said, they are usually alone in their truck, might have a partner with them who is always with them anyways. You already can't go to many events when you are unvaxxed and most truckers they sleep in their cabs. So perhaps maybe at some restaurant they might be in contact with some people but there are most likely already other unvaxxed people there also. So I don't really see the point of all this.

Inflation will keep going up transitory due to supply shortages.
3305  Economy / Economics / Re: New COVID strain may affect crypto valuation on: November 27, 2021, 04:17:11 AM
Today was a pretty crazy trading day. I would of never expected it to be this severe. We had variants in the past and they were brushed off and markets kept going higher. However I don't know if its because it was a holiday and volumes were thinner but the stock markets took a huge beating, especially oil.

Oil closed the day at -13% which is crazy. So its either some over reaction, or some trailing stops hitting or some hedge funds has pretty good knowledge that the demand for oil will go down again due to people being stuck at home due to the new variant.

I think we need to wait until Monday and see how the markets behave then.
3306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: November 27, 2021, 03:52:31 AM
Well that was quick. Looking at the $53K area if you look at the daily, this is an important support area. I honestly didn’t think it would come close to getting tested but I guess due to the close correlation with stock indices it caused tons of panic and we are pretty close to testing that area.

I don’t like the funding at the moment, seems very long leverage. Usually when this happens it doesn’t end Well. So hopefully $53K doesn’t break, if it does, remember to use stops.
3307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Race to $1000, which one would hit first? SOL or BNB? on: November 26, 2021, 03:38:03 AM
If you take market cap into play then obviously BNB will have it easier to hit $1000. Currently SOL would need to 5x its market cap from $60B into $300B to get $1000 price.

BNB market cap would need to be less than $200B to get $1000 price. There are also the coin burns it does. So it’s much easier for BNB to achieve that price.
3308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make money day trading Bitcoin? on: November 26, 2021, 03:33:23 AM
Am not sure if Bitcoin is still profitable for Day Trading , yet altcoin is what we need to use in able to make money in trading.

Fast moving coin is what we need for daily use as tools in trading , while bitcoin is only good for long term or Holding .

Yes this is pretty much true. Nobody got rich in 2021 from buying Bitcoin. People got rich by trading low to mid cap alt coins, flipping NFTs, trading Defi , getting airdrops from Defi platforms , and some made goods gains leverage trading also.

But buying Bitcoin earlier in the year at $30K and now being worth barely double, isn’t impressive since many stocks performed better.
3309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Experiment of bringing back a dead coin. on: November 26, 2021, 03:23:33 AM
Well if it’s a POW coin all you need to do is load up the wallet and hope you can find a node to connect to. If you can’t connect to a node then the blockchain will start from the beginning.

There are issues with this. One being is that if someone loads up their node and their block number is higher than yours, your entire chain will be orphaned because the longer chain is always valid.

However since you are doing this for fun, you might not get issues.
3310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weekly FLIP on: November 26, 2021, 03:04:11 AM
There is opportunities to trade pretty much every day. The only day I would avoid is perhaps holidays and Saturdays. However even those sometimes have volatility. So there are tons of ways to make money however you need to learn first how to trade if you want to put real money towards it.

My advice is open a TradingView account and trade demo. You got like $1,000,000 in paper money where you can practice your trading abilities and see how it will go. If you are successful then open a real life account with very little money and see if you can be profitable also.
3311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question gpu with entrance pcie 1x on: November 25, 2021, 03:41:00 AM
They don’t sell any GPUs which are directly x1. The only PCIe which are x1 are LAN network cards and sound cards.

Reason why is because most GPUs need more than one lane to play games. You will need to use a riser, no other way. Only thing you can do is perhaps get a gaming motherboard and with most of those you can usually have 3 GPUs directly on the board without risers.
3312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Operation of BTC delivery contracts on: November 25, 2021, 03:34:26 AM
Are you talking about trading futures? Like the BTC December or March futures on most derivative platforms? The way it works is as follows.

There is a mark price that it follows. And the futures have an expiry date, usually last week of the contract month. When it expires for all the open contracts the price is settled on the mark price which is an index price from spot exchanges like Coinbase and Gemini.
3313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Explain to me about Matic Ups these days on: November 25, 2021, 03:31:09 AM
I think we might see $3 sometime in the next few weeks. The absolute top is maybe $5 or so. This coin doesn’t pump like it used to in the past. It’s still a great play however there are bigger money makers at the moment like SaNd or MANa which are showing crazy profits.

Nothing wrong with the coin. Just there is more hype with other projects that are getting more attention. Same reason why Bitcoin is struggling while other alts are going up.
3314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would you believe it if I told you I am less bearish? on: November 25, 2021, 03:24:46 AM
I am also i believe that this year will be bullrun cause simple Bitcoin is increasing year by year and we must think like an investor if we want sure profit and if you are a trader you must accept that there is a big risk of losing your money.

This is not always true. Not every trader loses money and not every investor makes money. Look at the stock market for example. Sure the people who invested in the popular stocks like AAPL, AMZN, TSLA made good money because these typically are breaking ATH after ATH however look at how many stocks there are that are trading now at huge losses.

Remember how big Zoom was during the pandemic? I think it almost hit $600 a share and yesterday it broke $200. And same with Peleton, it hit like $80 and now it’s worth less than half. These people who bought are investors and all lost money.
3315  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you manage Bitcoin price now on: November 25, 2021, 03:20:45 AM
I think this might be the low and if we do break and head lower the $53K support will be front run. This is what usually happens in very strong bull markets. If it gets front run then you know it’ll break ATH soon. Because right now too many people are selling Bitcoin for alts and the people who want to buy will buy at $53K.

With stocks hitting ATH last week I am expecting for crypto to continue it correlation and it will rally together. Seems Bitcoin showed more strength today compared to ETH which is what you want to see.
3316  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage questions on: November 23, 2021, 03:58:52 AM
Since he is talking about Bybit and Bitmex he is talking about trading derivatives. Not on margin. So he is just trading future perps. Which means the leverage is given by the exchange like 100x.

Who is lending ? Well since its a perpetual contract its usually the long which pay the shorts for every contract that is traded. If the market is mostly short its the other way around. Its what keeps it balanced.
3317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic trading strategy for newbie to make a profit on: November 23, 2021, 03:54:05 AM
Learning to trade can be through the web, YouTube, or a trusted tele group. There are many good lessons there to learn about trading. but try to choose a channel that is trusted and helpful because there are also many channels that only harm especially paid channels that are deceptive. so my advice follow the free channel and slowly learn well. increase knowledge about trading not only with theory, but it takes practice and experience as well. so don't be afraid to start and find interesting experiences in it that can be learned in the future.

I would avoid Youtube, you won't learn anything following any crypto youtube channels. Most of those are scams and they are trying to get newbies to buy low cap coins which the youtube authors already own and they are all pump and dumps. And most of the Discord or telegram groups which require a membership are also scams.

If someone is a professional trader, why waste your time selling a membership for $20/month having to deal with absolute newbies when you can just make the money yourself trading? Most of the ones which post live trading videos and signals they always hedge their trade in case it doesn't work out.
3318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Brand new coins for mining on: November 23, 2021, 03:49:27 AM
You should just stick to mine ETH with GPUs and if you got ASICs then mine BTC or LTC whichever algo its designed for. This is not 2014 anymore where everyday there was a new Scypt coin or SHA256 coin released which would get added a few days later to all the exchanges. Back then you could of made 2-5x more profit by instamining these new coins and then selling as soon as it hit an exchange like Poloniex or Bittrex.

Now its 2021,

Most if not all new coins are not really coins, they are tokens either on ETH or BNB blockchain. You can't mine these. You can only buy them. And if there is some new coin released which uses the ETH algo or some other similar algo, there is a 95% chance it won't get listed anywhere decent and have any decent marketcap, hence no point in mining it.

Mining is tough these days... no secret out there really.
3319  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far will Bitcoin price correct? on: November 23, 2021, 03:42:27 AM
The poll doesn't have much votes but it seems that many people think that the previous pivot at $53K will be the bottom, which I also assumed and it makes me think we will either get front-run or it'll break thru that level and head lower.

One thing I learnt with trading and crypto especially is, if everybody is waiting for the exact same outcome it will most likely not happen. On a basic technical analysis level it seems that $53K would be a perfect long and many want to add their positions there, so most likely it'll never reach $53K and instead go to like $54K or it'll go below $53K to somewhere like $50K instead.
3320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Solid Altcoins you suggest should not be in Top 100. on: November 22, 2021, 02:58:45 AM
The current market conditions are very good if you use it to buy potential coins such as Binance Coin (BNB) and hold it until market conditions really recover. If this situation is really taken advantage of, then the opportunity to get a profit is quite large, especially since the coin we hold is Binance Coin (BNB).

BNB is a horrible example. That’s like telling someone to buy Bitcoin when they are just looking for some low cap altcoin to rip 1000% or so. This won’t happen with BNB or BTC.

If the OP is interested he can check out CRO, it has a good chance making it into the $ area and the crypto.com seems to be investing tons of money into ads and buying stadiums and arena. FTT and BNB already pumped but CRO is just getting started. They will keep doing more and more ads and the coin value should increase.
