3321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Solid Altcoins you suggest should not be in Top 100. on: November 22, 2021, 02:58:45 AM
The current market conditions are very good if you use it to buy potential coins such as Binance Coin (BNB) and hold it until market conditions really recover. If this situation is really taken advantage of, then the opportunity to get a profit is quite large, especially since the coin we hold is Binance Coin (BNB).

BNB is a horrible example. That’s like telling someone to buy Bitcoin when they are just looking for some low cap altcoin to rip 1000% or so. This won’t happen with BNB or BTC.

If the OP is interested he can check out CRO, it has a good chance making it into the $ area and the crypto.com seems to be investing tons of money into ads and buying stadiums and arena. FTT and BNB already pumped but CRO is just getting started. They will keep doing more and more ads and the coin value should increase.
3322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and it uncertainties on: November 22, 2021, 02:54:43 AM
Every market has uncertainty . If it didn’t then we wouldn’t be trading it. This is another word for speculation pretty much. If you think something will go up in value, you buy it from someone selling it, and if it goes up then you make money when you sell it to someone buying it, hence why it’s called trading.

It’s not as easy as many make it seem. There are people who got rich or Doge or AMC or GME or Shiba but those markets are typical in most situations. Trading is very difficult actually and risky and most traders end up losing their money. Those that hold their coins like Bitcoin long term usually make profit.
3323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day/swing trading.... on: November 22, 2021, 02:50:57 AM
Nowadays, you can trade crypto with pretty much any CFD broker. Have you tried?
OK.. they might not offer many cryptocurrencies but still a decent start.

I think brokers added bitcoin against USD on their platform for now. Some of the altcoins added are yet to be active. At least I have seen a pair on ltc with USD but it is yet active for trade.

Is that how the broker manipulates? because I have quite bitter experience with brokers. Since the OP uses a DEX exchange it is clear that his trading history will be quite difficult and will have to record it by copying all transaction data from the exchange address. There is no other way to accept a broker's offer, if it is trustworthy. Meanwhile, our condition is that we are still able to trade freely on the Exchange which is permitted in the country where we live.

The guy is talking about those forex or CFD type of brokers which are typically used under MetaTrader. Generally the way these brokers work, is when you send an order, instead of being routed to the open market, they just take the trade opposite of you. So you are basically trading against the broker instead of open market.

The reason they do this is because something like 99% of all new retail traders lose money, that is what they are betting on, if you make money they will find ways to not pay you.
3324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic trading strategy for newbie to make a profit on: November 22, 2021, 02:47:35 AM
Trading is the most difficult job on the planet. Especially since you want it to be consistent and not lose money. If you really want to make some extra passive income you can try and do some lending.

If you got USD or Tether you can lend this on most exchanges and get around 10% per year. So if you got $1000 you will make $100, which is not bad. However this is risk free pretty much and Unlike trading where you can lose money.
3325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ($LINK) Chainlink Price Prediction on: November 21, 2021, 03:28:12 AM
I think many are sour about this coin because it had a top of $50 and then a nasty crash down to like $15 which resulted in huge losses for many. Not too many alts crashed this badly given the high market cap. And I’m surprised that it didn’t break its $50 ATH last month when all the alts were rallying.

Most likely I see it touching $50 again however unless there is more news and development such as like AVAX or SOL then I don’t see it ever reaching something like $75 or $100.

Seems many traded it back in 2020 and sold it at $20 when it peaked in the summer and haven’t looked up. Sure the price is higher but the momentum isn’t there anymore in my opinion.
3326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can shiba inu coin go up to 0.1$? Would it be good to buy now? on: November 21, 2021, 03:22:54 AM
Judging by most of the replies. This thread is good evidence that most people are posting non sense and have no idea what they are talking about. Besides a few decent replies most that posted that it’s possible for Shiba to reach $0.10 obviously didn’t do their homework and realize the extreme huge market cap of Shiba.

No it will never go to $0.10 or even closer. This is similar to people calling Doge being $5 or $10 but not realizing that the miner revenue would be like $500,000,000 every month if it was $1 a doge, so how is $10 a doge possible. And even more crazy Shiba going to $0.10. Not going to happen. People that think it’s going to happen are just posting non sense to get their post count up.
3327  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [scalpers] Don't just join a moving train on: November 21, 2021, 03:16:52 AM
How many scalpers do you actually know that are profitable? Especially long term? I am willing to bet perhaps there are maybe 0.1% or so of all the traders that can scalp profitably in the long term. Most traders are swing and position traders. Basically holding positions for hours to weeks.

Scalping making half a percent here half a percent there seems great since you got like 100x leverage. So even if you bank 1% per day with 100x leverage that is like doubling your account everyday. Great in theory however almost impossible in practice.
3328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Futures Second Anniversary on: November 21, 2021, 03:12:14 AM
You would be surprised how easy it is to outperform >90% of most users, especially on a longer time frame. It will make you realize that trading definitely is not for most people. Many platforms have these statistics even forex brokers and most reveal that many traders are losing money, it’s tough out there.

Regarding the OP stats, are you using some bot. Because you seem to take 100 trades a day for an average of $80 value. Seems impossible to do with a human unless you are doing this full time for a living. Either way, congrats.
3329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc price sideways not what the traders want on: November 21, 2021, 03:06:19 AM
I don’t think Bitcoin is trading sideways now. If you want to see how Bitcoin trades side ways look at the entire 2015 year or look at early 2019. Just because it has a few inside bar days then it’s not considered a sideways market.

However I agree that sideways markets are difficult to trade. Obviously bullish markets are the easiest to trade. Then there are bear markets however those are usually shorter and more difficult than bull markets. But the worst is sideways markets where it’s usually the exchange and market makers who are pulling in most of the money those days.
3330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not be able to stay above $40k for 10 consecutive days ever again on: November 21, 2021, 03:01:50 AM
I remember reading this thread back in May and didn’t think it would come true but the OP was correct until end of Summer. Basically it went below $40K and had trouble closing above it until it bottomed out in July and then at the end of July is had the rally all the way to the new ATH.

Like the above poster has said, the top don’t really matter. In Bitcoin the tops are difficult to predict and almost nobody can sell the top, what matters is the bottom and I think except for March 2020 and 2014, Bitcoin usually never had a yearly low lower than the previous yearly low.

3331  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC $143k USD in DEZ a JAN on: November 21, 2021, 02:51:42 AM
One issue that I am seeing this cycle compared to the previous cycles is that most people who are putting money into crypto aren’t putting it into Bitcoin, they are mostly buying alts. And it’s not good alts like ETH or XRP it’s meme coins like Shiba or Doge.

Almost everyday I run into someone who is talking about crypto or has his phone out with Binance or coinmarketcap and they are always investing in some low cap scam. So the hype is there it’s just not into Bitcoin.
3332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Passive vs seasonal trading on: November 20, 2021, 04:11:52 AM
Basically the way the markets are now, whether it’s stock market or crypto. Are not typically normal. Most of the time the markets trend upwards very slowly or they trade sideways. There is money to be made but it’s very tough.

What happened since 2020 is that due to inflation and people stuck at home trading, it added tons of capital to all assets. So anyone could make money. It won’t always be like this keep in mind.
3333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dealing with a broker and wants his commission before I see the ROI on: November 20, 2021, 04:09:18 AM
Basically he most likely scammed you 2 ways.

First way is he took your money and most likely didn’t actually trade. Just sent you his fake report how he turned your money up by 100%.

And now since you want to withdraw, he wants 15% of some fake amount to get more money out of you. There is nothing you can do really.  Most likely he is not actually regulated.
3334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the price always trend towards all 5's on: November 20, 2021, 04:02:30 AM
Most retail traders, especially new one have no idea what a stop loss even is. I remember when I started trading a long time ago, I never used limit orders or stop losses. Had no idea what they were.

Later when I learnt it had this feature I basically would set the stop loss to some whole number like if a stock was trading at $72 I would set a stop loss at $70 or if it was trading at $106 I would set it at $100, then I would always  get stopped out and market would reverse after.

Many traders do this and that is why those numbers are very significant.
3335  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far will Bitcoin price correct? on: November 20, 2021, 03:58:38 AM
Most likely that was the bottom. If BTC fails to make a new ATH from here then I can see it dipping lower. Many people are holding positions this month because they are expecting that S2F model to come true where Bitcoin will hit $98K and something like $150K next month.

Also November/dec in the past were always bullish months so many are trading this seasonality. Kind of like Nov 2018 but instead of going up it went down and everybody was caught off guard.

3336  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC $143k USD in DEZ a JAN on: November 19, 2021, 04:16:41 PM
Isn't this just another stock to flow ratio calculation? Been a while since I looked at the formula but its based on number of active addresses. There are many of these types of calculators out there however you need to realise that they won't always work. And from what I read about the S2F, its paramaters are adjusted to make it more accurate.

Currently many people are following the S2F or that guy on Twitter which claims bitcoin will go to $98K before the end of November. So there is about 10 more days left? Do you think its going to happen? Probably not unless we get a few 10% days everyday until the end of the month. Then the December prediction is somewhere way in the 6 figures. I don't think that will happen in this low timeframe.
3337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying the Deep (Bitcoin). on: November 19, 2021, 04:13:46 PM
Its crazy how the settlement changes day by day. 2 days ago everybody was bullish and buying at dip >$60K. Then when we broke down, everybody was calling for $30-40K. Now it looks like we bottomed and everybody is calling for $98K before the end of November.

This market runs on crazy crazy emotions its seems. So if you are getting nervous, so is the rest of the market and it'll go up exponentially and the low won't be where you expect it to me. People assumed that the dip made yesterday would hold, however we had a bad candle close, many were expecting a wick but we got a strong bear candle, so it went slightly lower and then started to rally again.

Trapping bulls and bears along the way...
3338  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon stops Visa payments on "too high fees" argument (UK) on: November 18, 2021, 04:00:43 AM
Seems a lot of places don’t like Visa. Here in Canada if you go to a Costco and you want to pay by credit card they only accept MasterCard, not Visa. You try and pay by visa you get an error.

I don’t think most people really care. Most people Probably got both Visa and MasterCard credits cards so it’s not an issue. Visa stock was down something like 5% however MasterCard was also down 3% and it’s because it was a down day in the markets, so obviously this doesn’t affect the price by a large margin.
3339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the price always trend towards all 5's on: November 18, 2021, 03:51:52 AM
Basically when people set a stop loss they usually use round numbers. There are many new retail people who don’t know what candle stick charts are. If they buy at $63k and want to use a stop loss they will most likely put in $60K or $55K.

This is similar to people who want to sell. Most likely at $100K there are tons of sell orders. People basically don’t use fib extensions or any other TA method so they choose a common number like $100K and will most likely sell it there. Same happened with Tesla. Many put their stop loss at $1000. The stops got run and it went back up.
3340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying the Deep (Bitcoin). on: November 18, 2021, 03:47:31 AM
Yes when you say 4.5 BTC it doesn’t sound like much until you take out a calculator and it turns out over $250,000 which is a house in some area. Yes obviously not a whale holding 1000BTC but it’s still lots of money.

My advice get a hardware wallet and don’t tell anyone about your crypto, even on bitcointalk. You can become a target. Also if you leave on exchanges then don’t use SMS 2fa. It’s very easy to get yourself sim swapped attacked and someone can get into your exchange account and withdraw everything.
