341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites have 0% house edge? on: February 10, 2017, 09:40:22 AM
I've done extensive simulation on the topic and studied the maths, it's seriously not a viable business. There's no way you can stay in business taking unbounded risk for 0 expected profit. There's a lot of psuedo-science around thinking that "greedy" strategies are good for the house, but it's simply not true. (It's just equivalent to playing at a high payout)
With substantial bankroll, a house can run comfortably and make decent profit with 0% house edge, if they dont allow automated betting by bots. If u exclude bets made by bots, u'll find bustabit.com makes more profit in the long run than house edge % of total wagered amount. Hence, though it is theoretically impossible to run a 0% house edge game, games like https://www.chain-bet.com still do exist in practical world.

However, if you do it pvp way, then it's totally possible. Then you could take no risk, and match gamblers with gamblers. That could totally work.
U r confusing commission with house edge. In PvP games, house does NOT take any risk. Hence, the very concept of House Edge does NOT exist in PvP games. If house does not take any cut from the winner, it is merely running on 0% commission.

But another way to look at it, even with a house edge running a casino is an extremely risky business. In the calendar month of October, I lost around ~402 BTC bankrolling bustabit, where the weighted average house edge during that month was around ~0.7%.
Exactly this is what I am saying. House Edge does NOT guarantee the same % of profit on wagered amount. It still varies on many other factors.

No sane person is going to take those sort of risks for no expected profit  Tongue
If u were correct, then chain-bet.com would have gone bankrupt by six month, whereas they are running close to one year now...

343  Economy / Gambling / Re: bitcoinprovablyfaircasino.com , a complete list of REALLY Provably Fair Casinos on: February 08, 2017, 01:50:06 PM
U may like to include www.chain-bet.com, where each bet can be independently verified on blockchain.
344  Economy / Securities / Re: Will you invest in Chain-Bet.com bankroll? on: February 03, 2017, 06:48:33 PM
Anyway I would be interested. Would like to know the details you are considering for investors? profit share %, etc.
To start off, we wont be taking any part of investor's profit. Our initial goal is to spread the word about https://www.Chain-Bet.com with the assistance of our investors, so that we may increase our volume. Hence, if your investment is x% of the bankroll, u'll share x% of house win/loss accordingly. We are accepting private investments. Minimum investment amount is 1 BTC.

That's a good step forward to test the water...

Would you trust a gaming site with 0% house edge?
Definitely. Because 0% house edge does NOT mean 0 profit. It only means that the game will make 1% less profit than 1% house edge games. It offers more winning chance to gamblers.

Yes that's pretty much correct. Calling a casino a scam because it has 0% edge isn't true. Most of their money is earned off of people's emotional greed. The only reason house edge isn't is to keep away the bots which would make hundreds of bets a second and in the end break-even and just cost the server loading times.

This bot thing is not applicable for chain-bet.com, a 0% house edge game, as they have CAPTCHA for each bet.

350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why no pool is accepting this transaction? on: February 03, 2017, 09:15:32 AM
yeah ... something sucks with this one .... all the TX's I had pushed last evening are confirmed this morning,  unless this one ...   Roll Eyes     also , i have to admit, about i dont know what is this red "U" nearby the address  ...  Roll Eyes   if someone could explain me .....

The red "U" nearby the address signifies the address itself has unconfirmed Tx, which has been used to create another Tx. So, unless those unconfirmed Tx are confirmed, the next Tx can not be confirmed.
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why no pool is accepting this transaction? on: February 03, 2017, 09:00:22 AM
No idea why blockchain.info is showing that transaction as unconfirmed... it clearly has 2 confirmations.

Thanks to BitFury. The one mentioned in OP is confirmed now. But, another new one is now stuck!

I had  just pushed  your TX to https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/.       hopefully , she would being confirmed soon  now Wink

Just let me know .

Kind regards

This Tx is still unconfirmed. I doubt pushing only this Tx through ViaBTC will make any difference as it has unconfirmed input. Hence, I have now pushed the whole chain of unconfirmed Tx through ViaBTC. Hope it works now...

352  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chain-Bet.com - Win 16x - 0% House Edge - Provably Fair on: February 02, 2017, 12:15:30 PM
If your house edge is 0%, how do you make money with your service? I doubt you are a welfare office.

This has been thoroughly discussed many times before. 0% house edge is just a probabilistic figure and a gambling game can run well with 0% house edge. In fact, this game is running without any issue for almost a year now. For details, go through the detailed discussion in this thread - Which gambling sites have 0% house edge?
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of truly instant and anonymous bitcoin casinos on: January 22, 2017, 05:33:09 PM
I think, chain-bet.com should be included in the list.

- It is on-chain and hence completely anonymous.

- It is an unique game that offers 0% house edge.

- It is running since May 30, 2016 without any complaint. Ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1492457.0
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 16x win on BitcoinBetting.website with 0% House Edge! on: January 22, 2017, 05:26:32 PM
Are the odds just so bad that the house doesnt need an edge?
The odds are high if u place a single bet. There are 16 options to bet on. If u place bet on multiple options in a single block, u'd eventually decrease your odds.

What is the sites total bankroll, and at what amount if a withdrawal manual?
Generally, sites that do not take investment in bankroll, do not publish their bankroll either. But, as the highest bet amount it 1 BTC, highest withdrawal is 16 BTC. As per OP, the highest win so far is 1.5968 BTC, which was automatically withdrawn.
355  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How many people exist today that fully understand the Bitcoin protocol? on: January 22, 2017, 05:16:17 PM
Sometimes when I read comments from various industry "experts" it makes me wonder how many people in the world truly understand the bitcoin protocol on an intimate level.

I mean fully know it inside and out. What do you think?

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/graphs/contributors + https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/graphs/contributors = 416 + 136 - common to both
356  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chain-Bet.com - Win 16x - 0% House Edge - Provably Fair on: January 11, 2017, 05:33:18 PM

Looking at their board, it really seems like the interest is growing. Smiley

At high Bitcoin price, almost all bitcoin sites face a dry period. I think, it was no different for chain-bet.com.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we convince Google to have a Bitcoin Doodle on Genesis day? on: December 28, 2016, 04:12:45 PM
Better start now so they'll notice. I'd be tweeting and requesting them myself.  Smiley
There is no hurry, if we target January 2018.

If someone is near their HQ better pitch it in to their employees.  Grin
AFAIK, Pieter Wuille is a former Googler employee and Matt Corallo was a Google intern.

At best, it is a collection of referral links. I dont see a reason to trust those.
