341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does the game of luck in gambling really works? on: March 09, 2024, 11:58:30 AM
Regarding your question, no one knows how luck works in gambling, but this two are attached to it, just like what you have describe. Maybe that time the stars align and let your friend win big with you beside him. And that's what gambling are, we really don't know the result or the outcome until we ourselves test it our if we are going to be luck or not.

Majority though losses eventually, but in the case of your friend, again he had lady luck beside him and so he won. And it's good that he didn't go and try to stretch his luck as others might think that they will maximize their profit by betting more and thinking that their luck is going to continue. And that is a huge win, for him and we can only hope that we will be the next gamblers that is going to win that huge.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PARKER VS ZHANG 9th March 2024 on: March 09, 2024, 10:56:44 AM
And maybe we can say that his win against Wilder is no fluke? There are fans who says that his win against Deontay is just pure luck, but then in this fight, even though Zhang again proved his power by knocking him down, still though Parker was still focus in this fight and take that W.

But they hype is still with the top tier, AJ, Fury and Usyk and Ngannou.

First he needs to win against Zhang in the rematch to cement his name.

And then he will have his chance. After that AJ dominant win against Ngannou, it's obvious that he will be facing the winner of the Fury vs Usyk. And maybe after that, who knows, Parker will be face the winner whoever it is. We don't know if there will be a trilogy between Fury and Usyk.

343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anxiety in trading (heart disease) on: March 09, 2024, 09:51:42 AM
Many traders don’t know the after effects of over thinking worrying fear in their trading situations and decisions making, I just want to  drop this as message to everyone that is always worried and scared of losing during trading, you may not really know the after effect of panic and anxiety of losing your trades, each time you think and get worried it results to heart condition that increase gradually. So please everyone should be careful of how you get worried on situations because you may not notice any physical problem but it disturbs your heart internally but you may not know When someone is anxious, their body reacts in ways that can put an extra strain on their heart.
Click on the link below to see more on the heart disease that affects you because of trading.

Trading is full of emotions, and that's why we are worried and the bad part is that it can affect us mentally, and we have seen worst cases. There are one such big cases before, 20-Year-Old Robinhood Customer Dies By Suicide After Seeing A $730,000 Negative Balance.

And just like in gambling, you really need to check yourself, because we will not really control yourself here and it will not just result of you losing your money, but your mental health as well. So it's very important to strike a balance. Not every day that you are going to win in trading, there will be days that you will got negative to 0 profits and you just have to take it in stride and just come back the other day.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 09, 2024, 09:07:30 AM
Drake thought Francis Ngannou would win but Anthony Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the second round of the match of the heavyweight showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Drake lost $615000.

https://www.thecable.ng/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout/amp?/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout

Too bad, I think everyone here as well thought that Francis Ngannou will pull an upset win against the Brit. But Joshua didn't want to happen and as if this is a tailor fight for him to win in that dominant fashion. Not the first time that he have heard Drake bet on a fight or sports and losses big money,

So the Drake curse continues...
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 09, 2024, 06:04:09 AM
Never in a second thought Ngannou was going to be defeated in such a kindergarten manner by Anthony Joshua, even though i never really gave it to Joshua I had the conviction that peradventure he won he was going to feel it like he hit a rock for sure after the fight but the show was the opposite.

I had to repeated watch that Joshua's punch that knocked Ngannou off his feet as I was shock myself for someone that never expected things to go this way. I think Joshua seized the day and proved a better boxer dispelling all misgiving comparison  among fans. At least for now congrats champ...

Am not that surprised, because before the fight, I have already stated it here, that both fighters are from the same root, almost all the attributes of Ngannou, Anthony Joshua also possess it, so in as much as Ngannou have the power to give a knock out punch, Anthony Joshua also possess the power also.

There are still some questions from boxing fans with the way Ngannou shows in the Fury fight and we think that he had good chances. But Joshua was in a different level in this match. Something is in eyes, maybe he trained very hard but is was a unexpected ending, as he wiped out Ngannou scoring 3 knockdown and the last was so devastated that they have to bring in oxygen to make sure that Francis is ok.

Another thing about Ngannou is that the match against wilder, I just felt like he was underated, so wilder took him lightly compared to Anthony Joshua, so congratulations to Anthony Joshua for showing him that has a lot to learn.

That's what I'm saying, Francis did show himself compose in that fight and we think that he will improved himself and give us good showing. But Joshua in a mission and wanted to make a statement win here.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: March 08, 2024, 11:36:04 PM
Munguia definitely is aggressive, he is very young. He will go for the upset here, but let's see if Canelo can take the young and motivated Munguia.

Young and aggressive fighters don't scare Canelo anymore, he knows how to exploit their weakness, just like how Mayweather exploited him when he fought Mayweather as a young Canelo, Mayweather taught him a lesson in boxing, so Canelo will bring back the favor and do the same against Munguia.

Munguia also has a lot of Mexican fans and this will divide the Mexicans, some shouting Canelo and others shouting Munguia, this is the reason why he doesn't want to fight Mexicans on his home turf, there will be divisiveness.

I think Canelo is afraid, there was another young and aggressive fighter his name his David Benavidez and he is avoiding him like a plague.

We can't compare Floyd that time Canelo this very moment, Canelo is backing down from competition recently. Floyd give everyone a chance, he even had this so called hit list. And as much as we hate Floyd, he didn't lose to anyone.

And again, it's the question of he doesn't want to fight another Mexican excuse, but here he chooses a Mexican?.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 08, 2024, 11:06:19 PM
I've seen this post,

https://twitter.com/ChrisEubankJr/status/1766099150691823693

Any thoughts on this? This is not official yet, and I have to verify if this is Chris Eubank official account or some poser. But intriguing match, Crawford going as high as 160 lbs in this fight materialized. His name has been in the discussions for a Canelo fight at super Middleweight. Maybe this is just a test run for Crawford.

However, both of them have the same trainer in Brian “Bomac” McIntyre. Who won the trainer of the year in 2023, obviously with Crawford winning against his rival Errol Spence Jr and then also helping Eubank Jr avenge his defeat at the hands of Liam Smith.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: More or Less sports betting on: March 08, 2024, 10:46:52 PM
Not sure if this is the first time that we have heard this kind of betting, maybe it has existed here, Games and rounds, as there are a lot of prediction games there obviously.

We already have one, Sportsbet.io - UFC 299 - Multi Master Challenge - (9 March).

@famososMuertos - yes, but perhaps they just it make fun for us gamblers by looking at significant strikes as one to bet to as Suga Sean. There has been a lot of hype from this fighter and so casinos as banking on him to stretch our imagination and offer this kind of bets.

As for the question, Yes, I think there will be market for this kind of bets in crypto.
349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your go-to sports betting risk management strategies? on: March 08, 2024, 10:23:39 PM

Which of these is your go-to sports betting risk management strategies?

1. Hedging - Basically it is placing another bet to reduce the potential losses or risks associated with your first bet.

As a sports bettors, this is one of the method that I frequent used, single bet 4 games the most. At least if you win 3 out 4, then you could still make profits. Or even 2 out 4 will do much specially if the higher odds bet won the majority.

2 Arbitrage Betting - Here you bets on all possible outcomes of an event with different bookmakers to secure a profit no matter of the outcome.

I haven't try to go to this one, but I've seen scam accusations here and there and that some casinos says that individuals do this arbitrage betting and it's against their ToS or something.

3. Cash Out: When you cash out in betting, you take a portion payout from the bet before the game is over
It is do to guarantee a profit or minimize losses, especially when the original bet is winning or losing.

Yeah, to reduce your lost, but who knows, maybe you will regret your decision here as there was only a thread about a member cashing it out early and later the last leg of his bet in the parlay hit and so he was mad for not listening to his instinct.

Or maybe going on a multi-parlay? Of course the risk is too high, but seen members doing this strategy and winning big.

350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Even as a sport fan be careful! on: March 08, 2024, 08:38:39 AM
I don't know what this has to do with sports betting but yeah sports especially in high pressure situations brings the worst out in people.  In the United States some cities are worse than others, but generally speaking when going to a visiting stadium it's not recommended to show your colors and gloat or talk smack when you are the minority there.
For fanatical supporters, they have a different way of supporting than ordinary supporters, they will not even hesitate to commit criminal acts if they meet opposing supporters. In my country this also happens very often, especially if it is two teams that have a very high rivalry, this will be balanced by the rivalry of the supporters too. This is indeed a very unfortunate thing to happen in football, with this bad incident indirectly tarnishing the good name of the sport itself.
Interestingly, this seems to be a tradition passed down from generation to generation, even though it has claimed many victims, they will continue to do it. There are lots of similar cases, although perhaps now bad incidents have decreased more than in the past. However, even though it is decreasing, it cannot be a justification for what a few people do. I would call this an individual, because those who act like this are a small part of the existing supporters. In fact, they are the ones who harm other supporters or even harm the team they like.

There will always be crimes, no matter what place you are in. Maybe it just highlighted Rome in this case as obviously, there are a lot of teams and fans in that city and they are really die hard fanatics and could start a fight or brawl after the game and there could be stabbing as we all know, they could be carried away with emotions and their decision is clouded and will do to protect their clubs.

Yes, this could be an isolated case and I don't think this happens very frequently. But if it did though, for sure it will garner a lot of attentions for media and portray the city as not safe. I don't think it will change as well, we just need to be very careful, not to harm anyone or protect ourselves at all times.
351  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC power on: March 07, 2024, 10:43:45 PM
Hello all BTC
can we talk about the source behind BTC price

Everyone, retail and institutional investors are buying that pushes or pull down the price.

yes there is only 21m btc but iI think that it is not enough

And that's what the demand is very high, because everyone is fighting for that 21 million. It is scarce, as the supply is dwindling in the next coming months as we are entering the block halving.

it make anyone reach just by bying and hodling it
we normally get rich by working, studying or something else but not hodling
there is that guy who keep all his time studying and working and get paid just to pay rent, food and his family (life should be like that)
there is that guy who never studied or work just get some btc and hodl it  Huh

thank's

It has been proven already that Bitcoin has made a lot of investors rich specially those early bag holders. But it doesn't mean that you should rely on Bitcoin though. Yeah, for me just go and study first before you make your first investment in Bitcoin. So that you have a fall back plan, not just in investing, but in life as well. You can go look for a job if you have that education in the first place.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 07, 2024, 09:22:30 PM
I think this is really happening, I saw already a promotional video, Paul getting out of the helicopter and then Tyson waiting and nodding his head as it to tell to Paul that he is ready for a fight. And in the end, it says live on Netflix, so obviously they have put a lot of money here to make this fight.

Doesn't matter how old Mike Tyson is, still one of the most scariest dude even today, with his tattoos and that smirk smile. For sure Jake Paul knows what he is going here and if Tyson wanted to shut Paul's mouth for good, he is more capable to do that. But I don't think that Mike will go full 100% here, this is just an exhibition .
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 07, 2024, 08:09:55 PM
No doubt that among boxers AJ is more popular than Ngannou Cheesy But in general, for people who are just spectators, give them google and they would found that Ngannou is way better than AJ, because he knockout people cold.

Similar to what I have argued before, this certainly is because of Francis Ngannou's shocking performance against Tyson Fury who is a big name in boxing. Before this, no one has heard of Francis Ngannou's name or has cared for him being a champion in MMA. Also, another reason for this support might be because Ngannou is the underdog for this fight hehehe. The supporters also like Ngannou's story about being a poor child working in the sandmines where he developed a very strong warrior's body hehehe.

I think it's more of Francis performance against Tyson Fury. I mean he shows that he is capable of pulling an upset, yes, he admit that he gets tired, but still though we can't take away from his performance and so fans fell in love for Francis. And now that he has another, another high stakes fight, people now are willing to watch him live or PPV and again, hope that he will mind this time.

People are really emotional when they hear stories of boxers, like Manny Pacquiao's rag to riches and maybe it's what they feel about Francis now. But Ngannou should give us the results that we wanted so that they hype will still continue and then facing next the winner of Fury vs Usyk.

Two English men, in their 20s, were attacked shortly after midnight.
The attack took place in Via Cavour near the Colosseum

Quote
The men suffered stab wounds before their wallets and documents were stolen, Italian police have said.

It happened after the match ended and far away from the stadium area, I think its a robbery not by hatred because the victims are a Brighton fan.
Im sure the police will catch all of them soon, there must be many of CCTV around that area.

I think it has something to do with them being a sports fan and they have been a target and maybe trying to hide on the fact that the criminals wanted to look likes it was robbery. And this is not the first time that we have heard this kind of news though after watching the game.

Hopefully police will learn from it, I mean after the game they should be at least visible to the coliseum and near the area to scare away would be criminals or fans targeting the opposite fans after this kind of highly emotional games.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: March 07, 2024, 12:41:29 PM
For boxing fans, this is to be expected that he will get Munguia or Berlanga. But he chooses to fight a Mexican in Munguia, but then again where is his excuse of not fighting another Mexican? It is only applicable to David Benavidez? LOL

And with this fight if already finalized or official, be happening on Mexico's day for sure this is going to be hit for Mexicans. Not sure though if this fight can get 1 million PPV, as Canelo last 2 fights, one in Mexico with Ryder was a disappointment and Charlo fight in the US is 650,000-700,000 pay per view buy. He could still be the most chase fighters or the cash cow, but the numbers is not like what it used to be for him.
356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump Bitcoin over $70,000! on: March 06, 2024, 10:37:57 PM
Okay whales, pump Bitcoin up!  I need to make a big profit on this.  And do whatever it takes to surge Shiba Inu as much as possible too.  It doesn't have to be true, it just has to make me money.

LOL, it's a combination though, retail and institutional are putting a lot of money in the Bitcoin market. So I wouldn't say that they are whales, and I think there are no more whales that can really move this market this big alone or even if they work together. Market is open 24x7 and there are a lot of traders in any part of the world at any time. Billions is getting inside and outside, so I don't think someone can manipulate that big money as also there is risk in that entity to lose money as well.

Will not comment on that meme coins, but if you look at the altcoin market, they are not following Bitcoin's movement. All of them are way below their all time high, while it's obvious that with the huge pump, Bitcoin has achieved a lot including a first to be seen breaking it's previous all time high pre-halving.
357  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 0xbc1.io - Innovative crypto exchange service on: March 06, 2024, 10:00:50 PM
Yep, it's only the front end, but the back end which is very important is missing. Hopefully the OP will be back to update us if their platform is up and working already. Definitely we love to see crypto exchange services but first we need to see how it works and just like the rest of us, we want to know if KYC is required or not in your platform.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not impressed by the design, the UI is just meeh to me. I do hope that you take this as a constructive criticism, nothing more.

So in any case, good luck to your platform.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs Jermall Charlo 4th May 2024 in Las Vegas on: March 06, 2024, 09:34:47 PM
^^ But what happens to Canelo saying that he doesn't want to fight another Mexican, and so it includes Munguia and David Benavidez. However, you saying that he will be fighting Munguia as I thought that it will be Berlanga a Puerto Rican as his next opponent. And if by chance he chooses Munguia, then it's a clear duck and avoiding Benavidez like a plague. Even Mike Tyson is now going in public and questioning Canelo's choice of opponent as Canelo is turning down Benavidez although there is huge money in the table  as he is guaranteed to the tune of $50 million++. So it looks like Canelo is cherry picking soft opponents and he doesn't want to lose again just like what Bivol did to him.

He will not fight another Mexican if the name is David Benavidez hehe. Munguia's name surface to be the next opponent for Canelo Alvarez but until it is etched in stone nothing is definite at the moment but whether it is Munguia or Charlo, Canelo is going for the easy path again this time.

There is a rumor though that his next fight will be Munguia? I do agree that Canelo is going for a easy path, really hard to fathom, but yeah probably he is unwinding his career and doesn't want to face tougher opponents for this year.

We should see who is Canelo's choice, either Munguia or Berlanga, or even Charlo is he is still with PBC, then boxing fans are going to criticize his decision for fighter lesser opponents and it's clearly he is dodging David Benavidez.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 06, 2024, 09:13:21 PM
So Canelo is staying with PBC for his next fight? Mungia is not an easy fight for Canelo at this stage of his career. Mungia is young, huge and is heavy handed. But this is a little weird since Mungia is with GBP who is partnered with DAZN. The last time Mungia was the WBC mandatory of Jermell Charlo but it did not materialized after both PBC and DAZN did not come up with an agreement and corrupt WBC did not issue a purse bid.

Nontheless, at least PBC can still ride Canelo's popularity especially when it has a new network partner which is something new for the fight fans.

I'm also confused as we thought that he bolted out of PBC and go to Eddie Hearn again for a Berlanga fight? But it seems that Munguia a Mexican is his next opponent? What happen to the excuse that he doesn't want to fight another Mexican? And then PBC negotiating with Oscar's Golden Boy? I know that could have collaborated fight before, but this is Canelo a former GB fighter. Oh well, it's all business and this people are here to make money and take their personal issues at the side.

I will wait for the official announcement though, so far there is none in social media.

Won't believed it until either side have the final and official announcement as who Canelo is going to fight next this May.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: March 06, 2024, 12:08:36 PM
So there is a official date for this fight and it's May 6. Maybe the OP can update the thread together with the odds.

Quote
Japanese star Naoya Inoue will defend his undisputed super bantamweight championship against Luis Nery at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on May 6. The 12-round bout, plus undercard action, will air on ESPN+ in the U.S.

https://www.sportingnews.com/us/boxing/news/naoya-inoue-vs-luis-nery-fight-date-time-odds-price-card/9c90c908d24d6fa83575f14e

And as expected it will be in Japan and Nery is free to fight in that country and they have lifted the ban obviously.

No surprised on the odds, Nery is a big 7:1 underdog.

The undercard will include Jason Moloney vs. Reymart Gaballo Yoshiki Take.
