1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 30, 2023, 11:35:54 PM
...And with that win, I shoot up Tank to be my #1 p4p list, followed by Naoya Inoue.

How about everyone? What do you think of Tank's performance here, are you with me ranking him the top p4p boxer right now?
Jeez, mate! You need to relax and take a breath. You just got carried away by the popularity of Tank and Garcia. Tank just beat another undefeated prospect. Only that it is more popular than his previous cherry-picked opponents. Garcia is not a world champion. Tommy Fury beating popular Jake Paul doesn't mean he is on the same level as champions Opetaia, Okolie, etc.

Tank's never been in The Ring's and Transnational Boxing Rankings Board's top 10 pound-for-pound. And his win against another undefeated yet unproven and non-champion Ryan Garcia won't merit an entrance to the top 10 let alone at rank 1.

No, I'm not, that's how I see it though, but at least let Tank be in the top 10 now. I just check Ring's list of p4p and I saw Juan Francisco Estrada at number 10. Nevertheless, might be the start for Tank to really up his opposition, maybe he should really fight the winner of Loma vs Haney.

Barring boxing politics and network affiliation, this could easily be made. Although Tank was asked this question if I'm not mistaken, but he didn't answer it directly. While Haney said he is willing to fight Tank next. Let's see how it goes, as I have said, this performance will at least break him in the top 10, IMHO. Josh Taylor is number 9 when he has a very close fight with Jack Catterall and almost lost that fight.

I cannot really imagine how Tank can enter the top 10. His resume is just too weak that he is not even worth mentioning in the top 15. Tank is only a 1 division champion, that's it. And he was not the lineal champ when he became a champ at 130. He's never been in a unification fight. His best win was over former champ Jose Pedraza where Tank took the IBF belt. The best name in his resume was Yuriorkis Gamboa but that was not the quality version of Gamboa. Or maybe Leo Santa Cruz, a 4 division champion. LSC though despite being a 4 division champion will never be mentioned among the greats since he was a product of politics and corruption. Probably the only fighter that was given the privilege to fight for the vacant belt in 4 divisions.

{..snip..}

Although recently, Tank is not listed by Ring as number 10 now. Maybe they just updated it to include Tank and removed Juan Francisco Estrada, and this is the first time that Tank is making it on the top 10.

Maybe he will start to climb in the ranks now, depending on who he is going to face next. I know that p4p list is very dubious and it's very different across, SI lists include David Benavidez, Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney. So we can argue that those should not be in the list as well, specially David Benavidez. So I guess the organization that released their list could have some reasoning behind them.

SI, ESPN, Boxrec, Boxingscene, etc. are just garbage rankings. The pound-for-pound and lineal champions should come from an organization without politics and affiliations which is why The Ring was called the bible of boxing and which is why the TBRB should now be considered the most credible. Maybe only hardcore fans will get this.

That's the thing, there are no organizations that is not biased to the pound for pound rankings, everyone has it's narrative behind posting their list and that we can't just trust one list because it's going to be different. That's why Davis could be inserted in the list and then removed others.

You haven't seen the career of El Gallo then mate. Tank is nowhere near the achievements of that Mexican. If pound for pound is based on popularity then Tommy Fury, Jake Paul, Edgar Berlanga, etc. are in the top 10. But what is it with Ryan Garcia that its conqueror all of a sudden deserves a top 10 ranking?

I never said that El Gallo is not a great fighter or never watch his career, it was them who drop him. Maybe because he has been not been active after his big win against Chocolatito, and that's why the list is constantly updated as new fighters who put a great performance might be included and then others too. We might see changes in the ranking after the Loma vs Haney fight. Or maybe Canelo solidifying his performance if he made a statement win John Ryder.
1202  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc price preeiction on: April 30, 2023, 09:00:14 PM
Btc price prediction 40,000$ top this year.
Then 11,000$ then start of bull run year 2024 up to 100,000$ +  bull run will end 2026- 2027
By that time 100k+ is Coming for sure.

So you are saying that bull run is going to be extended as far as 2026-2027? If that is the case then the cycle too might be broken. Because if you are going to look at it, bull run will occur 2024-2025 and that's where we are gong to see the price reaching $100,00++.

I do agree though that $100,000++ might be all time high next bull run. It's going to be huge for us. So be better start accumulating at this point, we still have a year to do that and just stack sats as much as we can.
1203  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin having effect on the ongoing war on: April 29, 2023, 09:51:18 PM
I see the world is moving in a direction where it will be divided in two sections, one would be US supported countries that will continue to use the dollar as their main currency. The other block will be forming as an Anti-US country that may use Bitcoin as a main currency to trade/deal between them.

The replacement of USD as a reserve currency will likely happen eventually unless China gets defeated badly in the geopolitical games. But there's close to zero chance that it'll get replaced by Bitcoin.
The world's reserve currency will be the currency of the country that dominates economically (and militarily).

I wonder if US is actually capable and willing to do anything to prevent that from happening.

I will be in the opinion that they will do everything in their power to maintain USD as the dominant reserved currency. Although there are a lot of movements right now, BRIC thinking of another alternative currency to be used, or as someone mentioned, Saudi might try the Yuan. US is still capable to do that, maybe offer trade baits for other countries, or improved their trade relations so that they can keep power of the USD.

As for bitcoin or any cryptos to be a reserved currency, it should be stable, which obviously is not a trait of BTC. And for Yuan to be a reserve currency, it should have depth and liquidity, and their financial still lacks that.
1204  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free Satoshis? BTC "Faucet" In 2023 on: April 29, 2023, 09:30:08 PM

Regarding the faucet, well, there's no free lunch. In this case, you'll need to exchange (an email address) and a few minutes of your day "reading" news for your desired BTCSatoshisBTC.

{..snip..}

Not to burst the bubble, but yes, I agree that Faucet's now is a waste of time. It's not we are still in the pre-2017 era wherein faucet was a good source for earning small amounts that could turn big in the future. And as soon as those who created faucets saw that it's going to be not a effective promotion or marketing or whatever reasons they think they can get from it. They simply stop, and then the period of scams follows, like you need to reach certain amounts before you withdraw, or just collecting data from your PC and other reasons why it become useless and a complete waste of our time.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 29, 2023, 01:09:05 PM
The biggest issue in boxing nowadays is corruption. It is obvious that it is not easy to make fights between rival networks and promotions. But it should've been doable at times if only these sanctioning bodies are capable of strictly enforcing their rules.

If a mandatory is announced which includes a deadline, the sanctioning body should issue a purse bid if no agreement within the deadline. If the champion is not interested then he should be stripped of his belt and let ranked #1 and #2 make a deal and pursue a bid if necessary. It is that simple. However, these sanctioning bodies especially the WBA and WBC are too money-oriented which is why they do not want to pressure these big networks, powerful promoters, and boxing stars. The IBF is probably the most reliable although currently, it seems like it is also heading into the WBA and WBC direction.

I agree, boxing is now pure business, rival networks can't work with each other unless the fight is big and they are going to get 50/50, like in the Floyd vs Manny fight. As for the corruption, oh well, Sulaiman has been in the helm of WBC ever since and most likely started this corruption in boxing. As you can see, lots of belt right now and most likely the belt holders or at least their promoters might have paid Sulaiman to declare them as champions. And then we have corrupt judges as well. So it's like a domino effect in boxing, cash cows are protected by the organization and not going to be force to fight their mandatory just in the case of Spence here.
1206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: April 29, 2023, 12:40:19 PM
This is going to be an interesting fight, Devin Haney for me is a master class in reading the rhythm of his opponent and sometimes he will study the habits of his opponent and use that to his advantage and make his jabs effective because of it, Devin Haney will surely study his opponent for sure, and he could also do this to Vasiliy Lomachenco and their upcoming fight, but for sure Vasiliy Lomachenco will expect this and for me Devin Haney is getting ready and anticipating all of the possible moves that Vasiliy Lomachenco will do,

It will still be the skills and the style of this two. He can watch all the tapes of Loma in the past and maybe find some weakness. But we all know how technical Loma is in every fight so it might be a different version of him that is going to appear in this fight. Nevertheless, as you have said, Haney has a good boxing IQ as well so he can adjust in the middle of the fight.

While Vasiliy Lomachenco has incredible footwork to dominate his opponent and he is really misdirecting his opponent and sometimes purposely targeting their eye so he can slip to the other side so that his opponent can not see him strike in there he redirects his opponent's vision and moves to the where is opponent is not facing to punish his opponent even further, so this is going to be an interesting fight of chess every wrong move will be his last,

Yes, his foot work is a thing to be hold, in and out and side to side to confuse his opponent. He is also good at misdirecting that's why he can find that very opening and then his opponent is too late to react. So this fight is more than the hype, it could be one of the best technical fights that we are going to see this year.

You won't notice it until you have to take a close look at the spelling.
Very good find OP!
How did you find about this scam clone website?

Thru Google search, when you type Sinbad mixer, the clone site will be in the page 1 of the search results.

I saw scammers replacing letters like this before and I think Sinbad is getting attacked most from all other mixers now.
Best protection is to bookmark original website and use Sinbad onion website.
It's best to report this to Sinbad team in forum.

I reported it to Sinbad Ann thread already. I think as others have said, Sinbad could be one of those popular mixing services that we have right now. I also reported it to Google, unfortunately it is still showing though.

So I would suggest that if others could also report it as well. I think we can put some pressure on the Big G to take it down right away.

@UmerIdrees - I agree though, this has been the issues with Google, bu if we can do just this small things, who knows, maybe they will act on behalf of crypto community.

1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: April 28, 2023, 01:58:34 PM
Might be better to give a Filipino again a good chance against Moloney. We all know that Tapales recently upset Akhmadaliev, so I wouldn't be surprised if a fellow Filipino will pull another big win here.

Jason Moloney is good no doubt, but he shouldn't underestimate Astrolabio here. Sure Vincent might not have a good resume, but he has the heart and the power as his last two fights were in a knockout win. And I agree that Moloney chin is not that good, and for sure, he will be tested by Astrolabio and see if he will hold or will be broken into pieces.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 28, 2023, 12:32:51 PM
Every boxer always believed in themselves that they can beat the fighter in front of them. Just look at Ryan Garcia's confidence going into the Tank Davis fight. He said this and that, but during the fight it's a complete opposite. I'm not saying that John Riel will not win here, but just believing in yourself is not enough. You need to execute everything in perfection even it this fight is so called tune up for him.

Sometimes being too confident/cocky is just a way of selling the fight to the public and we know that well. Ryan Garcia agreed to all the terms that Davis threw at the negotiating table maybe because they badly needed the fight as a win against the Tank could skyrocket his stocks.

I'm a believer that there is no such thing as an easy fight in boxing but with the recent opponent of Casimero, i could say that this one will not go the distance because Ngitumbwa doesn't have the experience and first time to fight outside his country, this would be tough for him and Casimero is really training hard for this one.

Meanwhile, tickets for this fight were already sold-out per report, well that's expected because the venue is not that big and if I'm not mistaken this could only hold a few thousand guests.

It's good that the ticket is sold-out, but as you have said, maybe the venue is not that big so obviously with Casimero's popularity in the Philippines, there are going to flock and watch him live.

It's the gamble that Garcia took though, maybe Oscar advises him, after all he is the manager. But I wouldn't say it's a bad idea, he wanted to gain respect from the boxing community and se he has been calling Tank for years because he believed beating him will raise his stocks. But it's the other way around, now he is back to and maybe he will go up in weight.

But going back to the fight, I check sportsbet.io, the odds are not out yet.

1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The psychology of betting..... on: April 27, 2023, 09:01:04 PM
As humans, we are conditioned to look for patterns in life and we gamblers try to make predictions based on what we see, while we are gambling. The reality is that these patterns does not exist, but we like to pretend that they do because it helps us to bring order to the chaos that are gambling.  Roll Eyes

Some people seem to think that your bet size will increase your chances to win, but that is simply a myth. The reality is that it simply means your payouts will be bigger when you do win.

A lot of my friends believe that it is better to spin the Slots manually, because "Auto spin" are rigged by the casinos... but that is also a myth. A lot of things come into play when a bet is made and it has nothing to do with the "auto bet" feature. (Client Seed / Server Seed & RNG and RTP ...)

LOL, I do love the auto spin features though, the excited is the same as the manual spin. And for added intensity, I set the auto spin to be very quick. So when you hit the bonus real, it's feels good. So I do this whether online or offline games. And if I ever wanted to go back to manual spin and get tired or auto spin or at least the strategy is not successful, then it's just another button and then the game continues.

Have you pressed the "bet" button, before the reels have stopped.. thinking that it will give you a favorable outcome on your bet? Well, I have news for you... the outcome has been decided in milliseconds after you pressed the button for the bet, the GUI interface happens long after that to display the outcome of the bet to you.  Grin (Go into the developer mode of your browser to see this)

I know, luck really play a important role in slot games, and there are no strategy that is going to work even when we thought that there is such pattern that we can make of every reel spin or even pressed. But still though, the psychology of slot machines is really playing on our gamblers emotions that we think we can beat the system if we see a patterns.
1214  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: April 27, 2023, 08:38:59 PM
Long story short - is something happening now? Is there something big that's happening behind the scenes and no one wants to talk about it other than behind closed doors?

Yes, Google, Amazon many other giants had to cut down costs, staff and more, but why crypto gambling sites? Aren't these growing now and replacing the failed traditional sites that take 3-4 business days to get the user paid?

What's going on behind all these cuts and cuts ... is it something bigger? is Binance in trouble? just preparing for rainy days? or is it simply about profits?

Is anyone else feeling like something is wrong here?

It's either business is not doing good, so obviously they have to cut their losses right now. And we all know what is going on globally though, there is still the treat of the war in Europe, world wide recession, banking collapses, inflation etc. etc. So this could be the domino effect of it, major businesses shutting down or leading some of their promotion on hold.

Nevertheless, I do believed that this is just temporary, remember that even in the heart of Covid-19, this gambling sites are making money. We all know that crypto gambling is a billion dollar businesses, it's a niche market, competitions are tough and maybe some of them can't cope up with others. But for sure, there will be more promotions to attract gamblers to their platform and it's going to be a aggressive more for those crypto based gamblers.
1215  Other / Beginners & Help / Google Authenticator now supports Google Account synchronization on: April 27, 2023, 11:16:11 AM
It was just announced that Google Authenticator is now getting a  cloud backup.

Quote
We released Google Authenticator in 2010 as a free and easy way for sites to add “something you have” two-factor authentication (2FA) that bolsters user security when signing in. While we’re pushing towards a passwordless future, authentication codes remain an important part of internet security today, so we've continued to make optimizations to the Google Authenticator app.

One major piece of feedback we’ve heard from users over the years was the complexity in dealing with lost or stolen devices that had Google Authenticator installed. Since one time codes in Authenticator were only stored on a single device, a loss of that device meant that users lost their ability to sign in to any service on which they’d set up 2FA using Authenticator.

https://security.googleblog.com/2023/04/google-authenticator-now-supports.html

For sure there could be some of us who are using Google Authenticator here as another layer of protection for our crypto accounts. But as they have explain it, one drawback is that when you lost or your devices are stolen, it's hard to recover it already.

But now, they said that they are going to do a backup on the cloud.

However, I for one is not comfortable with it. Obviously, it's our responsibility, but what if the Google clouds are hack as well? it is going to be open for all sorts of vulnerabilities in my opinion.

What's you take on this?
1216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't claim to be an investor if it's still like this on: April 26, 2023, 10:58:48 PM
[..snip..]

In conclusion, it is very important to remember that losses are part of investing in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and as investors, we must be prepared for them.  Don't get caught up in negative emotions such as anger or disappointment when you experience a loss, but use it as a lesson to improve our investment strategy going forward.

There is also what we call paper loss (or paper profit):

Quote
A paper profit or loss is an unrealized capital gain (or capital loss) in an investment. For a purchased long investment, it is the difference between the current price and the purchase price.

For a sold or short investment, it is the difference between the price when sold short and the current price. Paper profits or losses only become realized, or actual money profits or losses, when the investment position is closed.

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/paperprofitorloss.asp

So it's not necessarily a loss on our end if we are not going to sell when the price goes down or what we call panic sell. The important thing here is just invest what you can afford to lose. And then go for long term, at least experience one full cycle and see how it goes for you. I know it's going to be a mental battle, but it's part of the game, you really need to be psychologically prepared because you will be tested many times to sell during the HODLing cycle of yours. And if you learn how to get over it, then most likely you might end up rich someday.
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What a physical Bitcoin could look like? on: April 26, 2023, 10:00:02 PM
Thoughts on this. Now at this time. It would be almost impossible to make a physical Bitcoin. But with advances in technology it could be possible. Maybe if you have just whole numbers of Bitcoin, eg 1 Bitcoin.
i am thinking its possible into a almost like a paper note format, with bar codes etc on it. It would be centralized in physical form almost, but i think it could be possible to actually have a physical aspect that could be moved in the real world.

What are your thoughts on what a physical Bitcoin could look like and an idea on how it would work?

I don't know what you are thinking though, Bitcoin is not design to be physical my any means.

But we have what we call, Physical Bitcoins by our very own, Mike Caldwell. So I guess you will get a idea if ever a physical format will be released to the public. However, I will understand that majority of us are not keen on this idea, to see Bitcoin being treated as like a paper or coin money.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 26, 2023, 09:34:04 PM
I don't think it's need a rematch, Tank clearly beat Ryan Garcia by knocked down Garcia down for 2 times. Even Garcia will have a couple fight with other boxers, it's just a way to convince everyone if he's still able to fight, but I believe no big change will happen when he fight with Tank.

I agree with you - there's no need for a rematch because it was very clear how Tank Davis dominated the fight. Before the fight, Tank Davis was already listed as the heavy favorite, so a rematch doesn't make sense since people won't be interested in watching it. A rematch would only be interesting if Davis had been the one who lost the fight.

Time for us to move on as I'm sure Ryan Garcia has already move one since he accepted his defeat.
There is no rematch clause so he will not pursue it, so does his team. And I doubt Tank Davis would easily accept that. For Ryan Garcia, I want to see him on a higher weight, his body is built something greater and he don't have to punish himself by weighing down just so he could fight champions like Davis. There is always a choice to let it go and try another champion on a higher weight.
We just saw how far their difference is and Davis mostly relied on his speed to take advantage of Garcia's slow movement and relying on his left only.
Jr. Welterweight seems to be a good choice and if he is still having a hard time catching weight try the higher one.

I very much agree on your statement mate, perhaps Ryan Garcia could be more lethal and dangerous in the upper division rather than forcing his own weight to fit in 135. But before all of that, he should try and improve his fighting style first because even if he can survive a few fights against the lower ranks, he will still find himself in the very same position where he can't really touch the champions because he lacks something. It's time for him to move-on and learn the lesson that was taught to him, and equip it to be a better boxer in his new journey.

I don't think that Ryan could simply improved his fighting style, I mean he has been used to that since he is very young. So even if Reynoso or Goosen is his coach, we might see the same fighting style of Ryan over again. We all know what he lacks, movement, even Tank Davis criticized him for that but Ryan was not deterred. Now, he was really exposed by Tank with his no movement and just going up straight against him. Davis just time him up in the second round and then throw that lead left, so instant knock down. And on the last round 7, Tank saw the opening in the body as Garcia is not protecting it, or at least very open when he throws his favorite left hook. 140 lbs could fit his body, but with the likes of Josh Taylor, Ramirez, Prograis, Teo Lopez, Albert Puello and other elite Jr. Welterweight, it might be a difficult division for Ryan to test.
1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 26, 2023, 09:10:46 PM
There is the factor of environment though, you can't take that away from boxers who are fighting outside of their country. Might be the weather is different, the food, the people it could contributed to the fighter and it could spell the difference between winning and losing, and who knows, there could also be some home town decision for all we know. Classic example is Manny Pacquiao losing against Jeff Horn in Australia. So yeah their talents and tools might be the same when they fight outside of their country, but there are also intangibles that we need to look at.

There are factors that could affect the outcome of the fight in favor of Inoue, but if Fulton is serious about making a name for himself in the boxing industry, he needs to endure those factors and make sure he dictates the fight so he can win convincingly. Besides, this is a televised fight, and it would be a shame for Inoue's camp if he wins while it was Fulton who clearly dominated the fight.

Just imagine, on paper Inoue is the better fighter, and yet he still gets the advantage from the referees and judges?

It's not fair boxing anymore.

Japanese people are one of the honest human beings on this planet.
So I don't worry about being biased on this match, even if this will happen on Inoue's home country.
Also, with today's technology, anything can be seen to review such footages if they will try to tamper the results.
People have their own sophisticated cameras to see possible loopholes, if there's any.
So I don't think they will pull off a stunt here. Just to favor Inoue. We will see the true winner on this one, in my opinion.

Not sure what you mean by sophisticated cameras because replays are not yet applicable in boxing. And I'm just laying that all the possibilities here. Nevertheless, I would agree that Japanese have the discipline and honestly, but there could be one judges that can ruined it here.

Anyway, the fight is still on this June, it will give ample time for Fulton to train harder. And he should be getting to Japan as early as he can so that he will adjust easily.

Bitcoin continues to be a volatile asset. When you anticipate that the price would remain between $26k and $27 till the end of the month, it suddenly increases in price within hours.

Bitcoin candlelight is ticking right now and is currently trading above $28k+. Within the few days left till the end of April, it has the best chance of getting back the $30k price(It seems very possible) before the end of the month.

And just when we thought that we are going to be trading sideways till the end of the month at around $27,500, the price suddenly burst off the gate again, pushing as high as $28,500 or the price where we are when we had a run to $30,000-$31,000.

I haven't check the news yet, but I have suspected that some good news might be off in the last 24 hours to have this kind of spike in less than 24 hours. Yeah, there is a slim chance that if this sort of mini bull run will continue at the end of the month then maybe we can see the a green candle after all, and then the pattern continues.
