1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: April 15, 2023, 09:50:23 PM
Thurman being quiet on the issue makes us wonder why, the Crawford - Spence is already everywhere it's not a secret big boxing media and pages are posting this, we are sure that it already reaches Thurman's camp, there's a big possibility that Thurman agreed to the fight and preferred to keep quiet and let both camps do the announcement and he'll just do a follow-up after an official announcement on the said date.
Both threads the Thurman - Spence thread and this are open so anything is not sure until there's an official announcement.
There is a poll here I am not yet voting until there's an official announcement this is still a speculation thread.

Most likely that is the case, that's why even though Thurman vs Spence is being expected this month, we haven't heard anything from Thurman himself. The odd thing is that he is also on the media and opening his mouth. But this time, he wasn't even mentioning in whenever he is being interviewed which makes us believed the fight could have been a diversion for the much anticipated Spence vs Crawford.

Just a week from now we will learn if the fight is going to happen. Don't want to put my hype on it, but maybe we will finally see the Spence vs Crawford after all.

Yes, I just remembered it. This month was indeed the month where Spence and Thurman was supposed to fight as the last article that released months ago regarding this fight said that they are looking forward to make the fight happen in April. But since time has already passed and we're already in the middle of April, I think we will have an interesting announcement next week because if the Errol vs Thurman will happen, they should've reported a final schedule last month as we know promoters and organizers needed an extra full 1-2 months to advertise a fight.

That's why when this fight is announced, it's been months before April. And with that we have a lot of time to discuss and share our opinions and debate about the supposedly Thurman vs Spence.

But as time goes by, everyone is scratching their heads because there was no update, no press conference kick off, no nothing. As if they just announced this fight to show that it's in the works. But obviously, by this time, this just could be some tactics or to hide their real intentions, Spence is secretly negotiating or the other way around, Spence is on the table and talking to Spence and his camp once again. So we will hear the big news this April 22.

Maybe Tapales will have a few fights before he fight with Fulton or Inoue to become an undisputed champion. There's possible a rematch against Murodjon Akhmadaliev to see if Tapales really beat him.

Did Tapales agree to the rematch? I know it's an upset, but let's give credit to Tapales. If he gives a chance for a rematch, that's even better. He is the defending champion, so Akhmadaliev will have to double his effort and convince the judges that he can dominate the champion.

For me, I would prefer to see him fight a challenger first before a unification fight. That way, he can be tested to see if he is really ready to fight the other champions. If he does end up facing Inoue in a unification battle, I will play smart and remain unbiased.

Or if there is a rematch clause to begin with?

However, I wouldn't discount the fact that yes, Akhmadaliev can request for a rematch, and the camp of Marlon can give or not give him that. Based on the scores, both judges have the same, except for the one. So there are no controversies there in my opinion. But if Marlon knows that he truly beat Akhmadaliev then maybe he will think about it and gave the consent for rematch. Of course, the money will be on the side of Tapales now since he is now the champion. But let's see.

To end this speculation, here's a news regarding their possible rematch: NO REMATCH CLAUSE FOR MURODJON AKHMADALIEV VS MARLON TAPALES

In the stated article, Akhmadaliev's promoter, Eddie Hearn, said in an interview that there was no rematch clause written on the contract but they will try to make a rematch happen and if Tapales's camp won't agree, they will try to ask the WBA to enforce a mandatory fight to get that fight. As we all know, Eddie Hearn wasn't convinced that Marlon Tapales won that match that's why they will try to negotiate for a rematch.

Ok, thanks for that info, so yeah, no rematch clause then Akhmadaliev would have to work double hard to become the mandatory challenger for the belt. However, we all know that Tapales wanted to fight the winner of Fulton and Inoue for the unification fight. Although his chances are slim, it might be the right decision for him in the future.

But with the power and influence of Eddie Hearn, I wouldn't be surprised if the governing body will give in to his request to have a immediate rematch with Marlon Tapales. But for sure Marlon will want that fight as well as he wants to proved that his win is no fluke.

I think that the governing body will just let him off the hook for the meantime and give Marlon Tapales a couple of months before giving him a mandatory defense fight as he just won the fight. It might be too unfair if they will give Tapales an immediate defense fight because he's not yet due for the next 6 months, so that leaves him some time to pick his own opponents instead of fighting a mandatory challenger that the governing body will give.

I read that there will be a title eliminator fight the IBF belt held by Tapales, it would be,

Luis Nery #3 vs Ra’eese Aleem #4. If they proceed with the fight then the winner will have the first chance to fight Marlon Tapales for his IBF belt. If the two doesn't want to go to title eliminator they will be strip of their rankings.

So Tapales now has one potential opponent in the future, the winner of this fight. It will be tough regardless of the outcome for Tapales, so he better take a rest now and then prepare again maybe late this year or early next year.

This is one of the episodes of the big game. Several large exchanges have already left the US market, and Coinbase is doing well, despite warnings from the regulator. This is an American business and they have a lot of problems being solved with the help of lobbying. An important task for Coinbase to remove the Binance exchange from the US market

It could be but the US government is after Coinbase as well right, so I guess even if they are US based, the government are still going after them and could potentially sue them unless they cooperate.

Of course they can used the lobbying method, but who are amongst those congressman who are going to support Coinbase?

Either way Coinbase will have to shell out huge money if case of a lawsuit or asking someone to lobby for them.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 15, 2023, 12:29:21 PM
.....and we still do not know how Inoue will do on his current division as he is yet to fight Fulton.

We will see, but the hype is very high for Inoue dominating the current division. Hopefully, we will not be disappointed in his coming performance. A dominant boxer would always bring joy to the fans, especially if that boxer is not afraid of taking on challengers, just like what Manny did. Maybe we will see someone like him in the future, or maybe it will be Inoue.

Let's see about that. But I believe Inoue can bring his prowess at super-bantam because if we look at it closely, the weight difference is not that much and most probably, 122 is Inoue's natural weight class because at 118 he needed to trim some of his weights just to suit the weight class but there's no problem about it. And so, in this division, I'm pretty much confident that Inoue can dominate 122. It's been quite a while since an Asian boxer dominated several weight classes.

Last time was Manny Pacquiao. I think he can bring his power to 122 lbs, the question is how the natural 122 lbs like Fulton will absorb his power. Although there's not much of a different as far as weight goes, but mostly natural and bigger fighter shows good power absorption. That's why when Manny for example move up in weight, he was not able to knockout the bigger guys in the weight class that he is moving up. But we shall see, this is Inoue's first fight at super bantamweight and so we don't know that to expect from him as far as power and speed as well. Or even his chin as well, if it can hold against the power of Fulton.

One or two division up i think Inoue will still be good at knocking out his opponents, i mean his power will be felt by his opponents. When Manny Pacquaio moved up to featherweight/super featherweight he was a monster back then in that division. Welterweight was the division where he has not knock out his opponents mostly because of the size.

Donaire vs Santiago has no definite schedule yet though this one is a go but i think this will be stage at a later date, anyone got an idea when?

Yes,  beyond 126 lbs Inoue might not bring his power, and Manny is a different beast that time as he was just stream rolling everyone he met in that division. But when he reach his potential at 147 lbs, he stop knocking his opponents out.

All of us here have no clue except that this is ordered by the organization and they should follow it. As we discussed, Donaire should be the one dictating it as he is the number 1 rank and time is no longer in his side.
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your take on the "seasons" topic? on: April 14, 2023, 08:53:53 PM
One rather overused term in crypto are "seasons". I admit getting sometimes a bit lost whether we have now "altcoin season", "memecoin season" or whatever else. There are also people who have theories about which season follows which. Was wondering - is their anything more than anecdotal evidence for the existence and order of said "seasons"?

It's just the cycle though, bull run and bear market season. I think for this market, altcoin season might be the pattern that it might break away from Bitcoin's own bull run. We all know that every altcoin is based on Bitcoin or at least their is a relationship between the two as every altcoin is a trading partner with Bitcoin. So if we same altcoin season, the market is on a bull run regardless if Bitcoin is on it's own bull run or not. And in the altcoin bull run, not only that it try to detach itself from Bitcoin, but maybe it's run is significant higher that Bitcoin itself. So if Bitcoin can let say in a day increased to 10%, in altcoin season, this market is going crazy like 20% or higher uptick in a 24 hour timeframe.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 14, 2023, 08:36:29 PM
The rumor is strong that both camps had agreed to fight and even leaked.  I do not know if the fight between Spence Jr. and Crawford will really happen because it looks like everything about Spence Jr. fight schedule is too vague.  One is his scheduled fight against Thurman and now against Crawford.  The schedule of this fight is overlapping and yet neither of these camps is releasing statements about whether they are true or not.  Honestly, it is tiring to follow now.

He just needs to choose which one he will fight this year. If he goes with Crawford and wins, then there's no need to fight Thurman as they are not on the same level at that time. Let's not expect too much though, but this news gives a little light on the possibility of an anticipated matchup.

Either Spence or Thurman fight will happen, it's for sure an interesting fight to watch. So Spence has nothing to worry when it comes to the revenue of the fight.

When it comes to the revenue of the fight, they are still on the safe side because even if Spence is the most hated boxer in the industry right now which I think has an effect on his professional value, he is still matched against a boxer whom the people is also following (Crawford and Thurman) and besides, people will surely watch this fight because they are also hoping that Spence will learn his lesson. But as of now, let's just hope for the best because either way, it's still a win for us as we will witness another great fight.

Speaking of money, I think easy for both of them to earn at least $10 million guaranteed price for this fight alone, not including the PPV and then the live gates. The hate comes from the first fight not going thru because it seems that the camp of Spence is not ready yet and saying excuses that his legacy has been cemented without needing to fight Crawford, but that is all wrong. Now, he can correct that might by accepting this fight, and beat Bud Crawford, and if he can do that and unify the 147 lbs then that will really put him on top and have his legacy in boxing. Not fighting Thurman at 154 lbs and with all his belts not on the line.

I sense that very soon the pump will start to shame all those folks who feel btc is failed project. We are expecting the bullish price to pump 60k straight up even against all odds. Those who are well position for the market can see the evidence this night is already 30k plus. I can only believe that bitcoin will do better than ever, though not withstanding we should invest wisely while waiting the pump.

If my plans works out am ready to buy more and store! But what's your take on the pump? Do you see it coming or am just doing illusion?
Let's hear from you.

If you have a plan then better execute it right now, the price is still cheap because when we hit the bull run, we might see 6 digit figures. What you see is not an illusion, if you have been in the market for so long, you know that sooner or later the bull run will occur and no one can stop it.

As for shaming those who don't believed on Bitcoin, you don't need to rub it in. They already lost when they didn't see anything from it. However, we all know that Satoshi's creation is one of the best this century as it will disrupt the financial world, from average joe like you and me to those who are super rich and wealthy and those Wall Street guys.

His boss (Oscar) knows well how it is to be only taller but beaten by a faster Manny Pacquaio.

Hilarious! Oscar surely knows that he would not forget a fighter that made him retire from boxing. He was even the big favorite in that fight, so what happened was an upset. He has to make sure to apply that lesson to his boxers, so that it will not happen again, hopefully.

We can't compare Oscar fight against Manny though, we all know that Oscar is already way past his prime and can't pull the trigger against and he was weight drain on that fight.

If there will be fight of Oscar on his prime, if will be against him vs Pernell Whitaker (RIP). That time Pernell is one of the best defensive fighter and we can even compare him to Floyd although Pernell is a southpaw.

1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: April 13, 2023, 03:34:59 PM
Even new gamblers are now applying martingale strategy because of casino ads promoted by influencers saying that gamblers could win higher by applying it. It is actually a risky strategy because we will also be needing a higher capital and the chances of losing could also get higher. This strategy is almost the same as chasing our losses which could result in regrets in the end. It could work on a short-term basis but it wouldn't work in the long run.

Oh, I'm not aware that it is being promoted by influencers, but we all know that martingale is a hit or miss, and it is still base on our lucky. And yes, if you want to cover at least 8 levels deep, you need to have a big capital at the start, otherwise you will just lose everything is let say the start if you have like 3 consecutive losses. So again, even if influencers are promoting it, we shouldn't be sway to used that strategy unless you really know what you are doing or you are a experience gamblers. Because for beginners, this strategy is not recommended.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 13, 2023, 11:04:32 AM
If Inoue experiences his first loss in this fight, it would be appropriate for him to ask for a rematch and try to reclaim his status. As for Fulton, he will surely not say no because this is a big fight and winning against a superstar like Inoue would mean a significant boost to his career and earnings in boxing. Anyone who can beat Inoue will likely enjoy a successful career in the sport.
Take a look with Bivol as an example, he already defend his WBA belt for many times and he's nothing for many people. After he able to defend his belt against Canelo, he's included in 10 P4P boxing, his power rate is higher than Beterbiev, and everyone consider Bivol is an one of strongest boxer in the world.

Inoue currently top 2 P4P boxing, of course Fulton will be included in top 10 P4P boxing too if he able to beat Inoue.

I don't think though that Fulton will automatically be in the top 10 of P4P list if he beats Inoue, it will take more than that to be including in that list.

For sure Fulton will likely give Inoue his rematch due if there is a need for it. More money for him so it will be an easy decision. On the other hand if Fulton losses then he can go up in weight and maybe fight Figueroa for a rematch and if I'm not mistaken they are due to have a second fight if not for Fulton accepting the more lucrative fight in Inoue. So still good chance for Fulton in this scenario as Brandon is a newly 126 lbs champion.

i play slots hoping to win 'big win' or 'jackpot' but many times it don't hits and my balance get drained after betting many times in one slot machine. hoping it already took my so much balance it will definitely going to hit this times, but it never happens, and my balance becomes "0".

so i am sharing some tips to avoid this type of losing streak or bad luck in slots.
here it starts:

{..snip..}

Good tips, however, we all know that slot is based on pure luck, so in your tips, maybe in the first spin alone, you will hit that bonus round resulting in massive payout or just nothing (I'm talking about experienced it).

But yeah, I do agree on some of your tips, like changing machines if you think that it's not going to give you a pay. Or just let's say $50 for one machine and see how it goes for you.

@coin.princess - yeah, providers and even crypto based slots can set their RTP differently.
1254  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 12, 2023, 10:09:14 PM
From my experience, it's better not to used that plastic, specially if you don't have control of yourself. Just like buying anything that you want just because you think that you can pay it later. But the interest though, it's going to kill you in the end.

Not sure though if you need to build credit, I mean how can you build credit if you used your cc and then not pay on time and been delayed? what credit score do you think you will get. Again, for me it's better to stay at it as long as you can. Because once you swipe it, and might be game over for you and for others too.
1255  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 12, 2023, 09:55:35 PM
The current price of bitcoin makes me feel a little bullish because it has crossed the $28k to $30k+ price range that it appears it was taking some time to reach before. That's a good development.

To me, this $30k price is a fantastic starting point for this month. I'm confident that this April, the price of bitcoin will increase gradually, before we know it, we might be seeing bitcoin hitting the price of $34k before the end of this month.

We should be very bullish by now, we have crossed $30k already, that round numbers and for us it's a big barrier to break. But we just slice it easy, although it didn't hold, but it just shows that the market might still be in the bullish trend for this month.

One remarkable thing is that the market is moving sideways for more than a week, then suddenly this surge.

I know it's hard to see or predict, but we have been bullish in the first 3 months and I don't think that April will not follow that trend.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: April 12, 2023, 03:44:55 PM
I think this is a bigger fight that Jack Catterall though, and maybe it's the right move for him. This fight is in the US, and hopefully Taylor should be exposed there, he is the undisputed 140 lbs and some of us forget that because he chooses to fight in the UK after unification with Ramirez. If he could just chosen a US boxer, it could be a different outcome and maybe he doesn't have to vacate some of his belts and retain them and then defend it to their mandatory. So this is a comeback fight, on the other hand Teo will have a lot of his plate at this new division.

The fight with Jack Catterall is on his hometown of Scotland, I think he just wanted to show his fans after winning all the belts. But Jack is a very difficult opponent for him, maybe as mentioned, he has a hard time making the weight at 140 lbs and it could be one factor in the fight. However, Jack really delivers one of his best performance to almost upset Josh in his hometown. It's almost back fire on him though.

But here it will be in Madison Square Garden if I'm not mistaken so Teo has the advantage because he has a lot of fans here.

So we will see the big mouth Teo here if he can back up his trash talking as he said that he will tear up Taylor more than what Jack did.

Just like what Canelo is doing in his next fight, it will be in his hometown Mexico against Ryder. However, Taylor's fight almost ruin his career as it was a close fight with Jack and as what we have been saying very controversial outcome.

Same with Lopez, against Sandor Martin, he has difficulty against the bigger Martin or the natural 140 lbs. So what's more if he is going to fight the very best of this division which is the former unified champion. Taylor though as fought in the US before so I don't see Teo even if he has the advantage of fans in MSG winning here. And Scots are also fond of their boxers and going to support and maybe some of them are going to travel in the US to see this fight.

I even thought Jack Catterall was an easy fight and who knows he was probably cherry-picked by Josh Taylor for his homecoming fight. Taylor having difficulty making the weight might be the factor. But there are other things to consider, Catterall tried to trash talk and even held the neck of Taylor to get under his skin. Taylor was probably angry and was out of focus. Or the homecoming fight might have pressured him as his local fans were expecting their undisputed champion to showcase his skills.

The same with Canelo, maybe there is also pressure to perform well in his homecoming fight.

If I'm not mistaken, they are somewhat both local heroes, so they have to settle the score inside the ring. And probably that's fuel Jack Catterall or maybe he was that good to almost beat Josh Taylor during that fight. And then they avoid him by all cost in the rematch and go with Teo Lopez as this fight might be easy for Josh, style wise.

And speaking of Jack, his next fight will be against Darragh Foley at Manchester.

https://box.live/boxers/jack-catterall/

Most likely just a get busy fight for him.

i have the feeling that spence's camp didn't see much hype with the thurman fight. and now, they finally decided with the crawford fight. based from early poll here in the forum, most are rooting for crawford. i can understand the sentiments. crypto casinos haven't listed this yet. but early favourite is showing that it is crawford. so the odds may be close on this one. just look for other betting lines once bookies listed this match.

In the first place, the whole idea of the fight between Spence and Thurman is really a disappointment.

Honestly, even though Thurman is not the supposed opponent, the whole fight that favors only Spence is really crap.

Let's wait if this fight will really materialize for not or will become again a failure of the year.

Yes, it's supposedly a 147 lbs, but Spence says no, let's fight at 154 lbs and with no belts on the line, and they allowed it to happen and then the fight is a go. However, after the initial announcement, the fight seems to be on hold.

So it's good thing that this fight is not going to happen because it's absurd, and we even say that it might set a precedence. That governing bodies will allow this fight.

And then we heard about Spence vs Crawford, good. But then as what has been reported, we will have to wait for the official announcement in the Davis vs Garcia fight.

Fortunately for me, I haven't received this kind of emails, but I'm well aware of this kind of spam emails so I know how to react - just simply ignore it.

And most likely this has been used way before bitcoin and crypto, remember all the "Nigerian Price" scam attempts that has been prevalent in late 90's to early 2000's? It's that it evolved with the advent of crypto now. Hopefully newbies will read this and not fall for this kind of trick. Again, there are a lot of scammers out there, so stay one step of the game and not give in to this kind of threat.
