1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 15, 2023, 02:50:04 AM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue

I love the alcohol advise though, when I used to drink before and that's one of my weakness, getting drunk along the way and then playing on traditional base casinos and of course, when you have alcohol in your bloodstream, you are going to lose in the end because your judgement is clouded and you can even bet higher than you used to.

It's a good advise for everyone, like the budget setting and leaving your wallet at home if you are traveling to a land base casinos. Or if playing in online, just deposit enough crypto and have fun. If you lose then let it go and just play another day.
1162  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational Parade on: May 14, 2023, 07:27:18 PM
do you think, a parade like this will be effective in reducing the level of gambling addiction?

No, on the other hand, what it might have done is exposed gambling more in the streets, specially for non-gamblers. They don't need to go this far, parading on the country side and telling the ill effects on slot game.

So I don't like the way they supposedly "educate" the masses here, it's the wrong impression that they are sending to the people. If they really want to stop it then go to their governments. And for sure, it could back fire and there could be an increase of gamblers because of this slot education parade.

And I think this is one of the worst strategy.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Third graders and Bitcoin on: May 14, 2023, 07:10:55 PM
I had a math class with third graders of which we discussed money I told them about virtual and real money of which I was very shocked and happy that they had knowledge about Bitcoin.
However we ended the class after we had spoken alot about Bitcoin they were soo happy and loved the class also
Like wow being with the kids was a nice time for them and I to get to know Bitcoin better look forward to having a class with them next week

They probably see or heard it in Tiktok or Youtube or any other social media. That's how kids are nowadays as compare to let's say 50 years ago wherein the knowledge of money is not with us when we are young.

However, I totally doubt that they knew blockchain or what Bitcoin as far as technical terms. Again, they heard it somewhere and we don't know if the knowledge that they have is correct or not. So I will advise you to listen to them and see what they've learn about Bitcoin or crypto in general.
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 14, 2023, 11:27:58 AM
if garcia ha no focus here, we will see it in his upcoming fight with tank davis. the odds are highly favouring davis here and maybe these bookies are seeing that davis can easily defeat garcia. the people surrounding him is also important because they will guide him what real preparations should be. davis is no easy opponent, so he should take note of that. otherwise, he can easily lose this match without a fight.
It's confirmed if Garcia will have a rematch against Tank in the upcoming fight? that's crazy because I don't expect anything change from Garcia in the next fight. New or old coach, will not make Garcia become a different boxer and he don't have a tough chin, he can't go brawl against Tank.

Tank will become huge favorite in the next match since the first match is a solid win for him.

I don't think there is a rematch clause, to be activated, Ryan will have to win the first fight which he lost due to body shot knockout. And we've heard that Garcia is shopping for a new trainer and then Oscar says that Ryan should focused on his training.

So we will see what's Ryan's next move, but eventually he will have to fight and continue with his career. This is just one lost and he can bounce back with a new coach and maybe heading to a new new division as well at 140 lbs. But for a rematch with Tank, not going to happen.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: May 14, 2023, 10:38:06 AM

No update yet. Fans still stuck to every speculation about how this fight may take place, preparations and conditioning might be ongoing, but the
finalization of the date when the fight will take place, there's still nothing that we can find all around the internet.

Fans will be disappointed if we don't see a fight involving Donaire this year. Several fighters have already secured championship fights, and I don't want to see Donaire left behind, as he still has the potential to win a championship and possibly become an undisputed champion. According to reports, the fight has already been approved, so now we are simply waiting for information regarding the date and venue. We just need to be patient. If it doesn't happen in the first half of the year, we will likely see it in the second half.

We already see one belt that was vacated by Inoue, and that is the WBO belt winning against a Filipino in Vincent Astrolabio.

And so we need to see this one, I think of all the belts, I see as WBC have more weight as compare to the rest of the organization. So with that, they really need to have a champion right now and this fight has been mandated since the start of the year around February and up to now, we don't know the status if this is a go between the two or we will see some boxer as the likely opponent of Donaire and not Santiago.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: May 14, 2023, 06:11:49 AM
Why is everyone speculating a $100k price for bitcoin as if, it is the benchmark price of bitcoin for the next bull run? Have we all tried to reason the possibility of, if bitcoin finds its way below $80k price or above $120k?
Moreover, bitcoin didn't promise any particular price that it must get to, in the next bull run. Whatever price we see, I believe we are going to accept it wholeheartedly without questioning it. Why it should or should not get to that price at the bull run in 2024/2025

It's because if we look at Bitcoin's past history, the projection is around 2.x something from the last all time high. So if our last all time high is around $69,000 x 2.x then it's easy $100,000 minimum in 2024/2025.

Nevertheless, we really don't know what is going to happen next, it could hit 6 digits figure of $100,000 or even higher, or we just go around $80,000 or less. But regardless, it's sure profit for everyone if they will just to continue and hold and accumulate BTC right now till the next bull run.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: USDT sent to inactivated address! on: May 13, 2023, 09:33:37 PM
I was checking my wallet in tronscan and i noticed that my usdt was sent to an inactivated address.
Can i recover it?
I didn't approve any transaction.
Thanks in advance.

Did you mean you send it to a wallet that is not yours?

No, you can't recover it anyone, crypto transaction is irreversible.

If you didn't approve that transaction, so maybe your PC or Laptop has malware on it that steals your password and other information that pertains to your crypto. So it's better to check everything out. Or the best thing to do is to move up all your crypto (if you still have them), and format your PC or your Laptop.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 13, 2023, 09:17:43 PM
We still don't know what's going on inside Ryan's training in this fight. As far as we know, and from what we have seen in their coverage leading up to the fight. He seems to be doing good in training. But what Oscar must be saying is that he should surround himself of people that really take care of him, not just there because he is famous and making a lot of money. And we have seen the first sign though from Ryan, firing his trainer in Goosen after just 3 fights and most likely he is the one taking the blame for Ryan's first lost and perhaps someone whisper to Ryan that he could let go of Goosen. Anyhow, let's see who is really his new coach as there are reports that he already find one but there are also speculation that he might go back to Reynoso.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 13, 2023, 09:01:51 PM
The Italian open is ongoing, if I'm not mistaken we can have a big final between ALCARAZ and DJOKOVIC.

I hope it will the 1st time for Sinner in his homeland but it will be not easy.

I wouldnt count my chickens just yet!

Its still the round of 64 and there are a lot of capable players still in the mix apart
from Alcaraz and Djokovic, Rune, Ruud, Tsitsipas? Medvedev? Rublev and Fritz.

Sinner - yes I would be nice to see him at least in the final but I think he still has a bit
more development to go before he can trouble consistently the above players.

The same with Musetti, I would like to see him get to the latter stages at least. He
plays fellow Italian Arnaldi today, that could be a close match.

True, Djokovic is hugely overevaluated. Cmon the guy is 35, his body is ageing. Both Federer and Nadal started having issues with frequent injuries about that age. He wasn't very confident in his opening match in Rome. I think any of the players you mentioned has more chances of winning than Nole.

Meanwhile, matches have been suspended due to rain in Rome. Waiting impatiently for play to resume.  Cool

Djokovic does everything for his body food fitness mentally and so on. I think that even with his age he is still one of the best and if he goes back into form no body will be able to stop him. He isnt really good on clay but if he goes into his mode he will win it all. Remember Djokovic always struggles in first matches of the tournaments then he starts dominating

It's more on his mental toughness though, sometimes we think that Djokovic is intentionally losing the first set before blasting his opponents on the next 2-3 sets. But maybe he was just reading them and thinking on how to counter.

Or he really having a bad game, but with his experience and him thinking very positive that he can win and overcome this game. And that is the hallmark of a great champion, always finding ways to overwhelm themselves and then lead a impossible comeback and victory.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 13, 2023, 01:01:54 PM
Fillipus Nghitumbwah is a very tough customer for Casimero but Casimero still gets the win via a unanimous decision Scores were 114-112, 116-110, 116-110., Casimero scores a knockdown against Nghitumbwah and a point deduction for Nghitumbwah for a rabbit punch causing him the match, Casimero looks slow but still shows that he can still land big punches.
I think Casimero needs one or two more tune fights ring rust shows on this match he may not be ready for title match based on what he shows.

Unexpected outcome, as most of the fans thinks that Casimero will easily KO Nghitumbwa.

The result is good for those who pick UD as the winning profits is decent, personally I was in the impression that Casimero will make a blowout but Nghitumbwa absorbing those solid punches and continue to stand up it's really a good way to challenge the greatness of
Casimero,

I value your opinion as how we witness the fight seems that Casimero will need some more tune up or if ever the organization
gives him that chance to challenge the champ. We never know what he might bring inside the ring. Congrats to all the winners!

Yes, I haven't watch the fight though, even some highlights, but from what I read Nghitumbwa was knock down by John Riel Casimero. And then there was a headbutt by Nghitumbwa, causing the ref to deduct one point form him.

And the final score is 14-112, 116-110, 116-110. So it's very close fight based on that score.

But this is still a win for Casimero, not that outcome that fans of him wanted to see. But still a good case for him to be on another fight with a rank fighter to get him inch closer to a title fight.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: May 13, 2023, 12:42:51 PM
It should be that no politician should get involved with gambling be it as a gambler or as an operator or businessman that focuses on it. That goes against the rule of law that they're lawmakers and they can make laws favoring their business which is all about gambling that can give them even incentives instead of punishments. This should go with their principles and while there's really a big tax that comes from the gambling industry, let it be alone managed by those that have no political interest.

I mostly agree on your post. But if we want to have a free and fair society where all people have the same rights, then it would not be fair for politicians to be forbidden to gamble.

I am okey with them doing whatever they want with their own money that they have earned through their job as politicians, however, they should be closely audited and in case some of them show any signal of becoming a person with addiction for gambling they should be isolated from the public treasury immediately and their political power, so they would not be able to abuse it to get more money to gamble.

Gambling is a question of civil liberties, in my humble opinion.
I agree about auditing them but being a public servant, there will be critics that will be all eyes on them and that's why if they're already in the public post, they should halt or at least don't get involved with anything related to gambling even if it's their livelihood.
But in developing countries, we'll see politicians like them to just sworn that they'll avoid gambling and stop their business or won't get a touch of it. And, they're all just words and talk is cheap. Nothing wrong if they're done being a public servant but while they're still on their duty, it should be avoided by them.

That is the keyword there "public" servant, so everything you do, all eyes is going to be on you, so whether positive or negative, there are ways that your enemies can destroy you like if they found out that you are one of the operators or behind the development of gambling platform and very instrumental on the proliferation of it. So for me, if you are elected by the public, it's better to stay away from that kind of perception, just do your job as a public servant and not involved yourself in gambling, IMHO.
1172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market Reaches $27605 - Will the Downtrend Continue?" on: May 11, 2023, 11:02:23 PM
^^, Yeah the price has dropped a bit again, from $27,500+ to now below that level. there are a lot of things going on right now, we have the attack on the Bitcoin with the ordinals and BRC-20 tokens causing the mempool to be congested and then the so called civil war between the core developers, miners and other entities.

And there are some individual that I suspected that might orchestrated this attack to cause fear and panic, and so far they've succeeded because the market is going down. Nevertheless, I do believed that it will just take one good news to turn the market around again. And this month is still plenty of days to go, so hopefully we can bounce back again to $30,000 levels at the end of May.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: May 11, 2023, 10:49:22 PM
strange that there is still no option to bet on this fight at stake.com, even though there are only 4 days left for the fight to start, I don't understand why this option is not yet available, could it be that this has nothing to do with the little importance that this fight has or are they still thinking that Can something happen and the fight be postponed? well anyway if i can watch this fight i would definitely watch this fight and the reason is that i don't believe it will be a very long fight, i predict early KO and the fight will be over very soon, i'm still hoping that on the news site in Portuguese that I follow make analysis and comments about this fight

i predict the comments will be very funny, because the youtube comments about this fight make me laugh so much because the guys from namibia are convinced that the fighter from their country can win the fight, here comes the guys from philippines we all know that when when it comes to supporting their fighters they become very competitive in the comments on social media so it's funny to see Filipinos arguing with those from namibia and everything gets worse because Nghitumbwa is not a favorite and is not even taken very seriously by the commentators of the youtube channels i saw

Though their titles are global, they are unknown fighters whcih could be the reason. Strange still because stake normally list WBO fights.

This could easily be predicted since Casimero is the most experienced and still a WBO champion. A mismatch that we could say he picked this Filip for the number.

If I have to be the bookmaker, my odd will be Casimero 1.3 vs Ngitumbwa 2.4

Odds are out in sportsbet.io though, and you are just about right, Casimero ML is 1.31 and Nghitumbwa 3.4

And then the over/under round is 7.5, 1.94/1.84.

So everyone or at last majority who saw Casimero as the favorite is correct, he is 1:3 favorite against Nghitumbwa. So the ML bet is not that attractive, but at least in the over/under rounds is a good bet for us. If Casimero will land his signature power punches then I don't think that this fight is going to last long, and if we look at the odds, the under is the favorite. So this could be a value bet, IMHO.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 11, 2023, 09:48:55 PM
^^ Yes, I also don't think that he can go as high as featherweight and that's it. And it's hard to duplicate what Manny did in his career, and we might not see that happening in boxing.

Going to 122 lbs might not be a big challenge for Inoue now, as he is about to hit his prime. But if he continue to go up, it's going to be a different story, natural featherweight boxer might give him problems even if he can carry his power to that division. So imagine him and Rey Vargas in the ring, or any other featherweight champion.
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long the high transaction fees will last? on: May 11, 2023, 09:34:25 PM
As a gambler I think we should look for better options for deposits/withdrawals until the mempool is not congested. Although as we can see right now, it seems that it has been settling down a bit as the whole ordinal inscriptions and Brc-20 fad might died down a bit.

As for the solution, it's up to the core dev to patch the exploit on taproot. There has been noises lately, this has been seen before though, before it turn ugly as what we have seen. So we shall see, everyone seems to be divided, but personally I'm against this ordinals or inscriptions attacking bitcoin.
1176  Economy / Economics / Re: Success is fundamentally determined by luck, not effort. on: May 11, 2023, 09:17:47 PM

Recently I have had numerous reunions with Uncles from my extended family. Some of them are successful businessmen for decades. They built their business from nothing and are living quite a comfortable life now. We had long conversations about life in general, including their key to success. I knew very well that they have been hard workers ever since I had a memory so I would contribute their success to endless efforts. However, one thing they had mentioned in common was luck. They believe pure luck made them meet and grasp those opportunities and become successful rather than their smartness and efforts. I've thought about this before and couldn't agree with this more. They've set very good examples to me, including my father, and now I tend to focus more on work itself consistently and let luck or fate takes the rest.

Even if you do everything right, sometimes you have to be in the right place at the right time. Sometimes you come to the right time and the right place thanks to your luck. Actually, I can't call it luck because it is destiny. Fate makes its plan for us and we live our lives according to our choices. That's why we hope that there are things in our destiny that will make us feel lucky.

Yes, others call it luck, but there are people who are in the right place at the right time and that is opportunity. So we should really strive for the best and work out ass of if we wanted to be successful. Don't rely on luck alone, it will not be on our sides all the time.

It's good to go to school, but they will not teach everything specially the art of making money. We need to discover it ourselves and when we find the formula for success then we stick to it. Again, it's the opportunity that will present itself, and we need to grab it.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 10, 2023, 09:55:01 PM
...So now we look for either another Mexican in David Benavidez or a rematch with Dmitri Bivol.

I observed that most people online are demanding a Canelo vs Benavidez fight. This fight would be huge although all fights for Canelo are big even if its opponents are not from the top. As for Canelo's earlier quote about not fighting another Mexican, well I guess Benavidez has no Mexican citizenship and is born in the US so maybe this fight will happen.

I'm in with Canelo vs Benavidez right, Canelo should go with David and proved everything wrong that he is past his prime. Benadivez Sr, says that Canelo looks terrible against John Ryder and people in Mexico expecting him to score a knockout and that Mexicans are disappointed with the Canelo performance. So for sure Canelo and his camp read this comment from Sr., so let's see if they will choose a young fighter or rematch Bivol.

So far, there's nothing that changed about Canelo's response on who's next ever since his loss to Bivol. Bivol has already accepted the challenge of fighting for the undisputed belts at 168 but Canelo is stubborn and wants the rematch at 175 for Bivol's WBA belt. Bivol will put him to school once again but I am hoping for the champion to be more aggressive and try hurting Canelo because these corrupt judges will always try to change the outcome when the superstar is losing.

He will be in a lose-lose situation at a 168 lbs fight with Bivol. He knows his critics will say that he weight drain Bivol and then him fighting at his comfortable weight. Canelo knows this that's why he insists at 175 lbs. So that he can capture that belt again and cemented his greatness.
1178  Economy / Gambling / Re: vbetFTN.com | Leading Online Gambling Operator | 🎰 on: May 10, 2023, 09:36:04 PM
It's really good to see a new casino on the horizon, at least we have another one that we can test, and so there are options for us.

Same concern with others, is KYC mandatory?

I might as well register later though, and let's see how it goes, specially your slot games.

So welcome to the community!!! and I see that you have signature campaign to get everything going, very nice.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 10, 2023, 09:17:11 PM
in recent years sports such as Boxing also the marketing part has been of great importance, I saw on this skysports site the things that both fighters said, both show that they are very convinced that they can win, that is something good for their image and confidence Of the two fighters, Devin Haney believes it's time for him to show that he's the number 1 fighter on the planet (it's a big exaggeration, but to promote himself and piss off the opponent, fighters use every word that's in the dictionary, the There are no limits for them when it comes to using words to promote themselves, and it's kind of funny that he's 24 and already dreams of being number 1 on the planet )

"It's definitely tougher for him now, I'm a much better fighter than I was four years ago, much stronger, more mature, more experienced in the ring," Haney told Sky Sports.

Lomachenko who is 35 years old and has a good record of achievement, didn't say anything in this article, but Devin Haney just didn't hold back and the whole article was based on his words, he's very confident that he will win, but so is that kind of confidence can hurt him, this is an article from last month, so I don't know to what extent Devin Haney still thinks that way, but I looked at his instagram and to my surprise there are a lot of pictures of him training, and I thought: "I'll give it a go look at Lomachenko's instagram, which will probably also have a lot of pictures of him training " and when I look at Lomachenko's instagram I'm surprised that there are no pictures of him training in the last 2 months. I laughed a lot at the time, finally we'll see who wins on the 20th of this month

We can't deny that fact, Haney as accomplished big already, compare as to let's say Tank Davis or even Ryan Garcia, he is the unified champion at this division and it seems that anyone is not giving him that respect and that's why he continue to bad mouth everyone and not his frustrations are bent on Loma as he will be the challenger for his belt. He even attack the already concluded Davis vs Garcia, and even sends warning to Shakur Stevenson, (who is not campaigning at this division as well). So we understand Devin Haney. But for now he has as bigger task and he really needs to show us something, maybe if he defeats Loma conclusively, then yeah, maybe he will get the respect that he wanted in the boxing community.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 08, 2023, 05:18:51 AM
150,000 audience in a big stadium where almost everyone is supporting Canelo Alvarez in his home Guadalajara Mexico.

That could be a record of sort now, 150,000 screaming fans of Canelo. As far as I can remember, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr can fill 50,000 fans easily during his prime as the number 1 fighter of Mexico.

Well, Canelo didn't let down his people and he performed great against Ryder. It's just that he cannot knock him out although he knocks him down once which I thought will end the fight. Ryder stood up and became a better boxer afterward and he fought well in the next half of the 12 rounds. Showing his tenacity and his heart to try and win it without any regrets.
He did make me a fan of his when he showed how tough he is even though he was all bloody and breathing in his mouth. That must've been hard for him to continue the fight.

Canelo still won in UD which is not questionable. I give 6 rounds for Canelo and 4 for Ryder, 2 ties.

Yeah, but still we wanted to see a good knockout coming from the hometown record, but Ryder has a tough chin and big heart so we should show him respect for that one. But then again, there could be arguments that Canelo might be affected of his hand injury as he might not throwing it 100% as he just wanted to test his hands.

So now we look for either another Mexican in David Benavidez or a rematch with Dmitri Bivol.
