Dude. We need a logo. It took me a while, but I was able to put together this awesome (imo) new logo: for the longest time i always saw that logo as a rabbit took me longer than i care to admit it was a duck looking up lol now I can't unsee the rabbit

fair answers but what's about source code ?
I would also like to know the exact amount of premined coins.
Algorithm: Scrypt-N, merge-mineable with Vertcoin (VTC) Generation: 8.4 million ZER Block time: 10 minutes Block Rewards: 10 coins per block Allocation: 2% allocated to the ZeroVert Foundation for future development, .5% allocated for free giveaways
Here is my math,
2.5% of 8.4 millions is 210k coins 60coins are mined each hours so, there is 60 * 24 *30 = 43.2k coins mined first month in 6 month this is 259k coins in crypto world, 6 month is a lot, at this point devs will possess 210k coins from a 469k cap, this is 45% of coins supply.
Can you give link to blockchain explorer ? I would like to see the wallet with premined fund and be sure that the dumps don't come from this wallet.
There was an explorer here: http://zerovert.cryptoservices.net/Seems dead now tho...

i have wallet 0.9.2.7 but sync stops with 3 days left. did i miss a fork or something?
If you haven't been able to sync the wallet since updating, you probably need to start it with the -reindex option. this is strange. to -reindex the wallet, i went to my myriadcoin folder in %appdata% and it empty. but when i run the wallet it still shows a balance but doesnt complete syncing with the network. That is quite strange. Normally it would use a wallet.dat file in that directory, unless you otherwise specify a different data directory or wallet file, so I'm not sure how you're seeing a balance if you don't even have a wallet.dat file in %appdata%\myriadcoin... Anyway, to reindex you can just start the program from the cmd window using "myriadcoin-qt -reindex", or you can make a shortcut to the qt wallet, and right click and go into properties of shortcut and add " -reindex" to the end of the target line, and then launch from shortcut.

Good day to all, I'm new with Scrypt-N and looking for a much stable tool. I've tried the vertminer 0.5.3 and sgminer 5 but having some HW errors. Any help with the configurations of R9 270X GPU? Thanks in advance I think you might want older drivers for vertminer (I used thekev miner with 13.12 (old) drivers), and newer drivers for sgminer 5. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please...

Does anyone know why PTS jumped off a cliff? (tips)
They announced it's basically dead, as they are merging bitshares-x, bitshares-vote, and bitshares-dns into a single unified bitshares thing (the snapshot for which was a couple weeks ago, and included some fraction of pts). I think they said keep your pts as future projects will still use pts for snapshotting, but I guess people read the writing on the wall that this was basically the end of meaningful snapshots. I'm still holding like 50 PTS Got my daemon synced up using the bootstrap provided on the thread, after giving up on the start/stop method, so if you want to leave a tip: CaPDPNwhUaLcUzc1CQo9apUsb9tKtvR1JY

A random small subset of Masternodes is selected from the total number of Masternodes each round, so no it doesn't work like a hashpower attack that scales linearly, it's inherently orders of magnitude more secure than mining.
You would need a huge majority of Masternodes to have even a small chance of either attack being successful.
Could you provide your sources used for calculation? Also, I guess you don't know of any functioning masternode status/explorer website?

I'm kind of curious, but none of the links in the ANN work: I think I've heard about 1000 masternodes, which at the current price of about 0.007 btc and 1000 drk per masternode gives about 7000 btc tied up in masternodes. Since the anonymization feature requires at least two hops, then mixing can be de-anonymized with at most half of masternode compromised? This means the entire network could be de-anonymized for around $3-4M? Maybe significantly less if half of the network of masternodes doesn't need to be compromised. Law enforcement in Ireland apparently grabbed $18M in btc as a result of the recent SR2.0 bust: That's likely how Irish authorities got information required to stage a drug raid yesterday in Dublin, seizing approximately $200,000 worth of LSD, Ecstasy, and other drugs as well as $18 million in bitcoin. http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2014/11/feds-claim-silkroad-2-0-taken-down-by-social-engineering-coup/Does anyone have some working links to masternode status sites? Anyone offer some insight on what fraction of masternodes need to be compromised before the system is completely broken? I'd be interested to know how much btc it would take to completely break the masternode scheme (one thing I certainly didn't take into account is the depth of sell orders and how much drk you could buy without significantly raising the price).

Counterparty is too slow. It's not smart to use btc's blockchain either way....BTC will eventually fall (to other cryptocurrencies), and so will the coins tied with it. Alternatives will take time to build up. The problem with Clearinghouse is , although VIA is custom built and fast, it does not have the distribution of BTC. So what you're saying is dogeparty?

Just downloaded v1.5.2 binary, and I'm not getting any connections at all after twenty minutes or so. Do the v1.5.0 and v1.5.2 talk to each other? Does anyone have some nodes to add?
Edit: nevermind, started to get some blocks, seems maybe stuck at ~11k tho...I'll let it run all day and see if it gets past there.

I have myriadcoin qt wallet. I have backed up my wallet. How do i restore that backup if neccesary in the future?
If you have copies of wallet.dat, that should be all you need. You can specify that wallet, or just put it in the default data directory, on any other computer. If want to make a paper wallet or something you can also dump the private keys and print them out I guess, but really probably just need a copy of wallet.dat.

If I want to transfer money, what is the mixing_count? How can I paste address into the console window (on windows)?
The mixin count is the number of unspent tx outputs to mix with, I think. Basically it is the degree of anonymity. Typically a value of 2 or 3 is recommended.

Is it just me or does the GUI wallet crash if you turn on the mining feature after 1-30 seconds?
|
|
|
Yeah, so i keep reading..soon soon.. but nothing, yet.
Well, to be fair, there's been a little more than nothing. They have implemented several things that no other cryptonote has: a real database integration for the blockchain, per kb tx fees, and a novel checkpointing system. That's not to mention the code review, cleanup, and commenting that has been ongoing, putting up bounties to get some open sourced, non-crippled miners, as well as bounties for unofficial GUIs, and also paying or putting time in themselves to have the cryptography outlined in the white paper reviewed. So yea...practically nothing

I'm running the latest version, but I've had a transaction to an exchange stuck with zero confirmations for the better part of 24 hours now. Also, while a mining pool says it's sent me payments, they've not arrived. Is something still not right with the network?
You might need to reindex the blockchain to get back on the right fork, which you can do by starting the wallet with " -reindex" option. Did that, and now the coins received from the pool have shown up. Coins sent to Cryptsy for trading haven't shown up there; a support ticket has been opened. They might need to do the same. I think if you sent them while you were on the wrong fork you might be SOL. I'm not 100% sure, maybe you can export and then import your private keys and get them back by reindexing again, but I kinda think if you sent them on the wrong fork they might be gone. Can someone else chime in, Foodies or 8bitcoder mebbe?
