3421  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How To Earn From BitcoinTalk on: February 02, 2020, 04:35:21 AM
Visit the Marketplace board specifically the services & goods section, there are plenty of earning opportunities there. Sell your expertise or goods if you have some and get paid in bitcoins. Your account being a relatively new, some users might require you to use an escrow first (check list of reputable escrows here). No offense to you but many scams before were perpetrated by new accounts.

Another good option is lending your btc but I guess that will have to wait as it will require you to build up some capital first.

A piece of advice sa mga magpo-post ng mga learning experience nila dito, be honest. Do not create stories for the sake of getting merits. Just because many are friendly and willing to help you rank up here ay aabusuhin na natin. I don't have a full load of merits to give kagaya ni OP kaya medyo mas mabusisi ako sa bibigyan.
3423  Other / Meta / Re: How to earn merit in 6 EASY steps! (2019-2020 Edition) on: February 01, 2020, 02:48:58 PM
~
So I think the people on this board no longer need the advice you wrote down.
It's better to write for beginners on the beginner's board and help.
It's good to read previous comments sometimes

~
Is my topic intent not that obvious that I need to manually state that it's purely sarcasm?

OP also has a How to earn merit in 4 EASY steps!
3424  Other / Meta / Re: Anonymity users on: February 01, 2020, 02:13:13 PM
When you see old stuffs like this, it's likely that it has been discussed before. Topics like this are usually discussed in Meta board. The best way to get answers sometimes is using the forum's search bar. If you did that you will probably get this result also “Anonymous “ posting query? Forum History. By reading the comments, you will find the answer

Deleting accounts doesn't mess up any threads, like this thread. It just changes to anonymous, with no profile information. Post stays intact.

As you can see here, I only change the username to "Anonymous" on request.

3425  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need 100 Testers for trading platform (reward = 0.01btc) on: February 01, 2020, 05:43:52 AM
What is the update on the escrow @OP? It was not clear to me whether the payment will be distributed to our account on the exchange or to our personal btc wallets. I think everyone's preference is payment to personal wallets. Sorry for bringing this up OP but I've read a lot of "deposit xx btc before you can withdraw your exchange balance" type of exchanges already. I hope you understand my point.

edit:

Done creating an account. How do we know if we're one of the first 100? Will we receive an email notification or a forum PM?
3426  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gnodepro trolling after long time inactive and use bad word. on: February 01, 2020, 03:54:27 AM
The best action is to just report the post to the mods (I did) and be done with it. It's a newbie account trying to troll the forum, maybe even an alt account of someone who was rejected in a signature campaign. Judging by the design of the topic title, I think he/she was a participant/applicant in Exolix-Crypto Exchange campaign managed by Coolcryptovator.
3427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wrong to monetize a bitcoin/cryptocurrency seminar/meeting? on: January 31, 2020, 05:28:19 PM
If it consumes a lot of your time, you might as well monetize but you should probably consider the audience first. You can group them if you want then choose which ones are for free or for a fee . For example, if you would be giving talks to students, maybe just give them a free pass. If the audience are employed or professionals in other fields, maybe request for a reasonable fee.

I have a thread in our local board about meetups/trainings/events in country which I update from time to time - Blockchain Meet Ups/Conferences/Trainings in the Philippines (incl. Fintech) As you can see, some of them are free and some are not.
3428  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important Point of Earning Merit on: January 31, 2020, 08:48:03 AM
You are really an weird case.

You have zero merits, and you put so much effort in your post. There is no plagiarism as long as I could find.

Then I checked your post history, you have only bounty reports in your history.
~
This reminded me of a user in our local board who posted some trading psychology but upon looking at his/her post history, most of it are bounty reports. My guess is that the OP and the user I mentioned are both alt accounts and they were hoping to get merits for their non-bounty posts.

~
only trying to assist and share with others what I've learnt too
Instead of "sharing" what you say you learned, why not prove to the community that you really understood the lessons in your OP and that you are applying them first? It doesn't look that way at the moment and your immediate submission of this post to a merit giveaway thread shows your real intention here.
3429  Economy / Reputation / Re: Murat the worst campaign manager? on: January 31, 2020, 07:53:14 AM
~
All it really takes is one badly run campaign for future projects not to hire him. With this thread up, I highly doubt he'll be an active manager. Granted he hired shitposters, it may be an indication of poor judgement due to inexperience rather than him enrolling his alt accounts.
He's not exactly a new manager. His old username is iwantapony, he was granted a name change by theymos.

Adding campaigns previously managed by him

My bad. I didn't bother to check your previous jobs. I wasn't into signature campaigns during those years.

Thanks for pointing these, these users are removed from the campaign. I will fill these spots next week.
It's just Day 1 of Week 1. Would it not be better to just fill the vacant slots today too?

It must be hard being a new signature campaign manager. The first one (24K) didn't go too well and then this. Some previously rejected applicant (I think) already created a thread against you in reputation board for accepting those inactive accounts by the way.

Best of luck to XX Coin and to your future campaigns.
3432  Economy / Reputation / Re: Murat the worst campaign manager? on: January 31, 2020, 05:34:51 AM
I checked the first three on the list and their posts weren't that bad as you claim. I'm not sure how others would see it though. Perhaps you could also tell us your real account for comparison. There is no denying that they were inactive for a month but that's probably not a very long time in the eyes of some managers.

If you are going to question the campaign manager's reputation, you should at least provide more evidence that he is the worst or that he's doing something wrong like accepting his relatives/friends/alts into the campaign. Take a good look at the case of CryptoMania Slots.

If you're not willing to do the above, you should just move on and wait for another opening. Maybe in another campaign by Murat  Wink

This is a really good review, Jon Jones has faced many fighters who were undefeated in the past and no one was able to defeat Jones as he is a complete fighter who takes the fight on the strength of the opponent but Dominick Reyes is an athlete as he did many sports throughout his college life and he is a good athlete as well and have the knockout power but the team behind Jon Jones will come up with a great game plan and i am expecting Jon Jones to win somehow even if it goes for a decision.
Thanks. Jones is really good at using his length in creating distance. Him stretching his arms which sometimes results to eye pokes and his front kicks to the opponent's knee have been a good weapon in his previous fights. When the opponent gets close, he is also strong in the clinch and also has his trademark front/spinning elbows.

Having said all that, I personally wish he would just take Reyes down, then pound or submit him for another victory. Jones could be losing his chin now because he's also getting older. Just one sweet punch from Reyes could end the fight.
3434  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pagbabayad ng buwis gamit ang bitcoin on: January 30, 2020, 06:23:05 PM
Ito ang stand ng BSP sa bitcoin at ibang crypto (termed as VC o Virtual Currency) - it's not a legal tender

VC refers to any type of digital unit that is used as a medium of exchange or a form of digitally stored value created by agreement within the community of VC users. VCs are not issued nor guaranteed by any jurisdiction and do not have legal tender status.

VC exchange service refers to the conversion or exchange of fiat currency or other value into VC, or the conversion or exchange of VC into fiat currency or other value;

4) Posts have to be in English, they should not be one liners and should not be in bounty section, it has to be an informative constructive post.
Are you sure gusto mong sundan yung pang-apat na rule ni Juggy?

It won't be long before UFC 247. Here are the fight cards

My not-so-professional analysis  Grin

For the main event, here's another unbeaten fighter (so far) looking to take the belt from one of the UFC greats Jon "Bones" Jones. Knowing how Jones fights, he likes to beat opponents out of their own game whether its striking, grappling, or wrestling. Dominick "The Devastator" Reyes is well-known as a KO artist so I expect Jones to keep this fight a striking match.
3437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: David Chaum's XX Coin on: January 30, 2020, 07:30:24 AM
I cannot remember when but I first heard about the project last year and even joined their telegram channel. Th project is basically riding on the popularity of David Chaum being one of the "legends" in cryptography. I kinda like their strategy of not rushing into finishing the token sale before but it appears they've become aggressive now with their signature campaign. Let's see how that works, it's rare seeing altcoin campaigns paying in bitcoin and at a good rate.

~
I'm going to buy there's a minimum 1k and 1 year coin lock up
It reminds me some crap coin which have already putted 1 year lock up period for the investors to receive their tokens. That's why elixxir can't even sell all of the tokens to reach the hardcap instantly. That sounds really bad agreement for me as an investors caused by my money will be stuck if i invest in there.  Shocked
I'm out.
I guess they are only looking for long-term investors here and not some guys who will instantly dump their tokens after the token sale. I perfectly understand the investor's concern though, it's hard seeing your funds tied up to some altcoins when bitcoin starts pumping or dumping.
3438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So a bitcoin scam has been getting a lot of publicity in the Philippines lately on: January 30, 2020, 06:17:48 AM
haha da f*ck! So this is what the post in our local board is all about. I didn't bother reading the "statement of _____ about crypto" because I wasn't interested in crypto + celebrity topics.

Scammers using celebrities or other famous personalities is old school yet many people fall for this marketing trick. If people would only think, how on earth would a guy who has been in showbiz for so long suddenly starts trading? To add to that, why would he let others do the promotion on his behalf?

On a positive note, you know that the market is doing well when more and more scams are popping out of nowhere  Grin
3439  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Students on Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2020, 04:29:32 AM
Welcome to the forum.

Sabi sakin ng co-trader ko na "punta ka sa forum na ito wag ka mag focus sa trading" which tama na dapat ginawa ko dati pa. 2 years ago since I started using Bitcoin or cryptocurrency this is a very life changing.
May we know first kung sino nag-invite sa iyo dito?

~
Ang mining, faucet, trading and some of these types of earning are not good enough to make lots of bitcoins.
Totoo na mahirap sa mining dito sa Pinas due to expensive electricity cost, faucets are a waste of time nowadays, but for trading nakadepende yan sa skill ng trader. I read this article a few days ago explaining why 90% of market traders lose, you should read it too.

Ako ay isang Senior High School student and I know na marami dito ang mga nagaaral pa. I would like to ask Paano kami kikita dito?
~

How can I start earning with doing some services or having jobs with cryptocurrency without asking the rank? but instead it's willingness at pagiging seryoso dito.
They manage to rank up through forum activity and merits kaya nag-qualify sila dun.

Your account, being a newbie, might find it hard to get some income here. It is not necessary but it is encouraged na ma-build mo muna ang reputation mo sa pamamagitan ng pagsali sa mga discussions. Once you are able to do that, you can start offering whatever services/goods you have.

For starters, here are some of the services commonly offered here:
  • Blogging
  • Community management (social media)
  • Signature designs
  • Signature & Bounty campaign management
  • and more (check the Services board)

Please note that having a good account doesn't guarantee that you'll be able to land some jobs dahil marami pa din competition.

If you have goods to sell for BTC, just visit the Goods board. Depending on the terms, some might require having a reputable escrow. You could tap escrow services offered by our fellow countrymen.

Another important thing, don't forget to read the forum's Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
3440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about WAVES project? on: January 29, 2020, 06:08:05 PM
It's currently under $1 per CMC https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/waves/

It was all downhill after seeing a glimmer of hope at the start of 2019. What happened to Waves happened to most altcoins though. Most investors have abandoned the idea of having x10 or more from putting their money into altcoins.

On a positive note, at least their announcement thread is still active unlike most altcoins. I don't know if there's anything the Waves team could do to spark new interest of investors but having an active thread must mean they have always been working despite the price constantly going down.
