technically, I prefer ETH and XLM than XRP. Decentralized Smart Contract Cross border payments features of a coin is way way better than XRP. Just my 2sats.

Buzzwords aside, what exactly is better?

And why thousands of IT people from Amex and various big banks can't see it, but you can?
3442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why people think that Bitcoin Cash (or any other altcoin)will take over Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2018, 11:55:54 AM
Decentralized exchanges allowing any coin pars will kill that part of BTC dependancy...of
course that alone won't kill BTC, but will destroy big part of its value
3443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will XPR double in 2018? on: January 03, 2018, 11:44:53 AM
I think it is not possible in the short term but possible in the next 2 years. It needs $100B to double its price, almost 90% of the money coming to the market should go to ripple.

dotcom bubble crashed at about 10 000 billion invested money...blockchains still have long way to go
to reach that volume Smiley
3444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will XPR double in 2018? on: January 03, 2018, 08:56:33 AM
XRP??? If you want to wait for a few more months not impossible XRP will go up double the current price. but surely it took longer because the current course-XRP has gone up higher than the previous price.

As it goes last hour, maybe it'll double today!
3445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: January 03, 2018, 08:52:49 AM
Making new ATHs last few hours, any predictions how far it'll go this time?
3446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Ethereum Mining NoDevFee v8.0 🔥 on: January 02, 2018, 07:13:32 PM

Do you know how to do math? Probably not so I'll help you.

Check nanopool stats for one of my mining rigs.
https://ibb.co/cgNt2G

Worker "x" is Claymore fees

Total shares = 56976 + 3460 = 60436

Percentage of fees from the total shares
(3460*100) / 60436 = 5.7% in fees

I'm curious, how you redirected his fees to your simulated rig "x"?

The software this thread is about intercepts and alters the packets (on the machine it's running on) to circumvent the devfee. the altered packets use a worker of "x" - of course anyone could show whatever they want by also having x as a worker name--which is why I trust my own stats rather than those someone posts.

Interesting...did you try it and what results you got?
3447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: January 02, 2018, 05:09:23 PM
i think Investors should be warned that we are currently at highs right now, so we can expect a retracement. We appear to be forming a doji candle today, which supports the fact that a pullback is near.

Then again, imagine you sell it and day after it get listed on coinbase

The fast growth in Ripple is likely attributed to either new users getting involved and wanting to jump on the wave of the Ripple rise, or bankers...either of which is not very sustainable in my opinion.  People will either start taking out their profits or once it becomes more used by banks the supply will be increased and we will see inflation of the coin.  The fact that this coin has an unlimited supply is not very comforting to me; the fact that it is the coin of choice for bankers is down right disturbing to me.

Low quality FUD here...you should try harder

1. if it starts to get used by banks, transactions will burn it and we will see DEFLATION
2. can you point to information where reputable source says suppy is unlimited? You can't? I thought so

If there is no mining with ripple, why the circulating supply is going higher and higher every day?

Who creates these coins?

Let's hear your explanation.

Noone...they're ALREADY created, premined, whatever word you like to use. 55bn is locked in escrow and will be released in 55 months, for total of
100bn...its not a secret, there are no lizard people, stop listening to Alex Jones

Saw a small spike today, any reason in particular?

Unpredictable Koreans, I guess

Happy 20.18 to all Ripplers

Switch your driver to compute mode?
I didn't know that there is an option for this. That really helped, thank you!. Now it's 22.5 Mh/s. Is this a limit for this card or I can improve this without flashing BIOS?

You can only OC memory, or try to play with -dcri value

Also, try to put -asm 2 in command line, works better for some cards

The new micron card is the best memory ever. 32MH/s and over. Those are not the old micron chips we used to see. Can someone post the optimal strap to use? these can go like way up up in memory oc.

Yes, I can run my RX560 stable at 2240MHz, and RX580 has better memory (rated 2000MHz, while one in RX560 is rated 1750MHz)

Memory cooling is very important at such high frequencies, though

30.5 easily on elpida

Branko, could you please point me in the right direction on how to get 30 Mh/s with my Elpida memory?  I'm not asking for a step-by-step.  Maybe some links for me to read and learn would be much appreciated.

I learned most from this link:

Is this the coin that has better blockchain technology than bitcoin?!?! Or just another pump and dump shitty scam coin!

Since that guy didn't provide any relevant info so we could check his story, I'll just assume its FUD article, or noob user

(transaction id, wallet number and such)
3457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best coinsmarket coin (COLX,ECA,EMBER etc) on: December 31, 2017, 10:24:40 PM
Colx and Zoin if you want to buy cheap and get in early. If you have Ripple I suggest to sell them now. Ripple is very high now with a gigantic worth. You will hardly get any huge increases with Ripple. Even for $2 it took months and is just a small gain for everyone who owns Ripple.

With Ripple you can only get rich if you have gigantic amounts in it. With Zoin you can create gigantic amounts out of small amounts.

So you think ripple coinbase video is fake?
3458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GIGABYTE RX 580 4G AORUS Elpida Memory - Hashrate Help on: December 31, 2017, 08:41:23 PM
Hello,

please forgive me if this topic has already been covered.  I've spent two days on the forums and internet attempting to solve this problem myself with no luck.

I'm currently running 8 GIGABYTE RX 580 4G AORUS GPUs and have Bios modded all of them with Polaris Bios Editor v1.6.6.  This version has the Auto Configure Button.  It auto copied all the 1:5000 timing straps to the higher values.

When I first got the cards running in SMOS.  I was only getting 18-19 Mh/s and after the bios mod they were 22-23 Mh/s.  I then over clocked them in SMOS and changed the GPU from 1375 to 1475 and the memory from 1750 - 2085 and the powerstaging from 6 to 7.  After overclocking, I am getting a solid 25 Mh/s mining Ethereum using claymore-eth-v10.2 in SMOS.

Is this as good as it gets?  I've seen multiple people claiming to get 29-31 Mh/s using 4g RX580 cards, most are Samsung memory but I've read about people being successful with Elpida memory as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

sell elpidamemory card, try to get samsung/hynix...will save you alot headache

30.5 easily on elpida

Hello!
Can I use this Bios mod for XFX RX560 4gb single fan model as well? It also has Micron memory and I'm getting only 320H/s on cryptonight stock.

You should get at least 450
3460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 31, 2017, 09:36:23 AM

He wanted to say that currently there are 38 billion XRP in circulating, but the maximum is 100 billion XRP, you are buying an inflationary coin, do not feel bad after that can happen in sequence, because it's a centralized coin, you are small players are in the hands of big players.

You mean, theres upper limit, unlike ethereum that has unlimited supply?

Or BTC, that can only be mined by selected few with deep pockets?
