362  Local / Pamilihan / Re: METAMASK - TUMATANGGAP NA NG GCASH on: December 13, 2023, 09:09:36 AM

363  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Real world side gigs for sats. on: December 11, 2023, 11:42:17 AM
I'd like to see some input on how you might would go about this in your area? My thoughts are to offer a special and then offer a better

discount if paid with crypto. Odds are they will be paying via cashapp or Venmo anyways , why not take advantage of that?
How much better discounts are you planning to offer in comparison to your special offers? If it's just a few bucks, it probably wouldn't work [even if they don't have to pay any TX fees].

- I'm not sure if you were planning to offer some kind of warranty for your repairs or not, but perhaps you can offer it for those who pay with Bitcoin.
- You can also offer free quarterly maintenance for such customers.
364  Local / Pamilihan / Re: METAMASK - TUMATANGGAP NA NG GCASH on: December 10, 2023, 04:16:49 PM

365  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: QryptoCard: Elevate Your Transactions, No KYC Hassles up 1000$!!! on: December 10, 2023, 02:44:54 PM
🚀 **Load with Crypto up to 1000$:**
It appears that there's a way to extend that number by $9000 for certain types of users: Screenshot

- On the same page, you're asking your users to accept the "Terms & Conditions" without having one [it goes back to the homepage]!
- On your homepage, you're claiming "Thousands of people" are using your card, but I'm pretty sure that's not true for a service that's one month old [bad first impression]!

BTW, this thread belongs to the Service Announcements board [move topic button is in the bottom left corner of the page].
366  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 49 Hardware Wallets, compared feature by feature on: December 10, 2023, 01:26:40 PM
@maxirosson
Just noticed one of the hardware wallets that only supported their utility token on its launch, is now supporting Bitcoin [and a few others] as well: KleverSafe

  • EAL 5+ Secure Element
  • 12/24 words seed phrase
  • IP67-Rated
  • Not compatible with other third-party apps
  • $199 price tag

Added 3 new features to the Hardware Wallets comparison:
Nice additions Smiley

368  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Aura Legal - Licensed crypto exchanger in the European Union! on: December 09, 2023, 02:10:47 PM
We work with popular cryptocurrencies:
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP, USDT.
I believe this is the first time I've seen an exchanger's reserves that "mostly consist of round numbers" only and that makes me skeptical!

  • Would you mind signing a message from an address that has one-tenth of your Bitcoin reserve?
369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would you pay $1M dollars worth of BTC or USDT for an El Salvadorian passport? on: December 09, 2023, 12:25:16 PM
Share your thoughts, would you do this if you've a very deep pocket?
Considering that nowadays we no longer have to deal with finding a way to spend our Bitcoins in almost all countries, my answer would be a big fat "NO".
- I do know it's mostly being done indirectly, but it still doesn't change the fact that it gets the job done!
370  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New transaction accelerator on the market - mempool.space on: December 09, 2023, 10:55:36 AM
Also, if it's true that Mempool.space has partnered with Foundry as the pool that includes the transactions in their blocks, you will get a quicker confirmation since Foundry has more hash power and finds more blocks than ViaBTC.
If this is true, then you're right, but it's also worth noting that ViaBTC claims their paid service extends beyond their mining pool:

  • Quote
    Paid Service
ViaBTC cooperates with multiple mainstream mining pools so that your transaction will be proposed and prioritized for quicker confirmation when any of our partner mining pool produces a block.

I don't understand the purpose of the waiting list. Just allow the people to create their accounts.
There are no restrictions for creating an account, but you can't use it for anything at the moment... Having said that, their "GitHub repository" appears to only have a single open issue about their accelerator, so perhaps it wouldn't take long before it's fully launched.
371  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Mga exchange at option sakaling maban or block ang binance sa PH on: December 08, 2023, 03:27:20 PM
Since Binance mangin inaccessible na sa atin within 3 months, nag opt-in na ako for Stables Wallet as off-ramp option from crypto to fiat.
Ito ang unang beses na narinig ko ang pangalan nila at kahit mukhang maganda yung services nila, malaki pa rin ang chance na it'd suffer the same fate as Binance dahil sa mga missing licenses [unfortunately].
372  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing Apollo II on: December 08, 2023, 01:10:05 PM
@jstefanop
The noise level for the ECO mode [less than 40 dba] is good for home miners, but I'm curious to know what the noise levels are on the TURBO mode [especially for using custom settings to get it up to 11 TH/s].
373  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Square is considering making a hardware wallet for Bitcoin on: December 08, 2023, 11:15:28 AM
Bitkey wallet has now officially opened for pre-order with the price of $150 plus shipping and taxes.
Even if none of its cons existed, I would've still said it's way too overpriced.

and Bitcoin is not accepted as payment option  Cheesy
This part surprises me the most... A few months back, they partnered with Coinbase and integrated their services into their app, but for some reason, they're not using Coinbase Commerce on their website [quite weird]!
374  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: BitBox02 Experiences on: December 07, 2023, 06:21:53 PM
what if I restore with the "ledger" seed, then add a passphrase and finally move them? (this last part is also unclear in my mind  Grin)
If I understand correctly, you already have funds in your normal wallet so if you were to add a passphrase to your used seed phrase, it'd just lead to an empty passphrase-protected wallet!
- This should be done when you're setting up your wallet for the first time, but only do it if you "fully" understand everything about it.
376  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Help , Sobrang taas ng fee Pano mag send ng mas mababa and fees? on: December 07, 2023, 04:35:35 PM

Umabot ng 200+ sats/byte sakin using Trust wallet to coins.ph.

377  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: December 05, 2023, 03:12:26 PM

378  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New transaction accelerator on the market - mempool.space on: December 05, 2023, 01:06:14 PM
I hope they add LN payments for that,
In addition to that, supporting payments with other alternative cryptocurrencies that have lower average TX fees will also come in handy.

I also doubt anyone that knows ViaBTC free accelerator will want to use any paid accelerator.
You have a point, but if the volume of their transaction exceeds ViaBTC's limit for their free accelerator, they have no choice but to use a paid accelerator.
379  Other / New forum software / Re: Progress? We're waiting... on: December 05, 2023, 10:59:12 AM
I haven't been here in years and the software still isn't running? Lol. Admins fumbled the bag here big time.
Web server is down Error code 521
Epochtalk is running [just not on the beta subdomain]: Coinbistro.com - Epochtalk testing grounds
- Having said that, seeing it having little to no activities in recent months makes me believe it'd suffer the same fate as the beta subdomain (unfortunately).
380  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New transaction accelerator on the market - mempool.space on: December 04, 2023, 10:56:50 AM
The issue is, there's currently no user here in Bitcointalk that reported their experience with mempool.space's accelerator.
It would be great to have some legitimate feedbacks.
AFAIK, their accelerator isn't fully open to the public yet [the feature in question is there, but as soon as you create and verify your account, they'll put you on a waitlist (almost one week and counting...) and that means you can't even top up your account (unfortunately)].
