1341  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paymaya planning to add crypto? on: April 05, 2022, 12:43:14 PM
Taken from another thread:

  • may nakita akong nagpost sa FB na sa paymaya app niya, meron na crypto. Kung meron mang paymaya users dito na pwede i-verify at macheck sana.
Matagal ko ng hindi ginagamit ito simula noong umalis ako sa Pinas, pero may lumabas na article tungkol dito: PayMaya Crypto Now Live!
    - Mukhang limited lang ito sa buy/sell at sa ngayon, sampung cryptocurrencies lang ang sinusupport nila.
1342  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor exporting Transaction history error on: April 05, 2022, 11:24:39 AM
So I left the process running for a while. When I came back, I got this:

https://i.imgur.com/tf54ub2.png
Looks like it has something to do with being "out of memory"... Have you tried monitoring the memory usage upon clicking any of the export buttons?

Took another cable, I know it's not relevant but just in case, and tried to export the transactions...
If it's not a data cable, it might not work [I don't have one to test].

After I open the suit I go to my accounts and then just go to the "..." and then "export to PDF".
~Snipped~
How long time it takes to get file done?
This shouldn't take longer than a few seconds, but sometimes I have to refresh my PC in order for it to appear on my desktop.
1343  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet advice on: April 05, 2022, 09:23:08 AM
Trust wallet was my first choice but later I discovered that it lacks the desktop option and I'm not a huge fan of smartphones.
I am looking for something where I can also store my USDT TRC20 coins along with some other major ones, hence have to stick with Trust Wallet.
There's another multi-cryptocurrency wallet [Exodus] that supports it: Which TRON tokens does Exodus support?
- It has a desktop app and you can "also" use it with a hardware wallet, but it's closed source.

Note: I prefer to not vouch [DYOR]!
1344  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-03-30] Apple is rumored to announce support for Bitcoin payments on: April 05, 2022, 07:16:21 AM
Will Apple make payments itself or will it work through partners with a license to work with cryptocurrencies?
From the look of things, it's going to be the latter, but it's also worth noting that enabling BTCitcoin payments through Strike doesn't mean all of us can use their services [unfortunately, it's limited to users in the "US (except for two states), El Salvador and Argentina"].
1345  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-03-30] Apple is rumored to announce support for Bitcoin payments on: April 04, 2022, 12:03:31 PM
This seems like fake news to me.There isn't any valid evidence about those rumors.
When Natalie Brunell interviewed him last week, he gave a hint by mentioning his tweet while also saying "we need to get more merchants on board".

@safar1980
There's a small error in the subject field [20202].
1346  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor exporting Transaction history error on: April 04, 2022, 10:11:52 AM
Let me know one thing, if you choose a range, from date to date, are only those transactions for this period listed below or there are the transactions since the beginning?
Only the transactions for that particular period of time will remain in that section, but the same thing doesn't apply when I export them [all of them are included].

If you're still keeping one of its previous version files, you can try downgrading the Trezor Suite temporarily [I've done it before when I was dealing with another issue and it worked].
Note: Make sure everything is backed up!
1347  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor exporting Transaction history error on: April 04, 2022, 09:20:58 AM
But when you come to the export menu and try to export the data into CSV ... it goes to infinite loading.

I updated the suite, updated the HW it self (trezor one) to the last versions and it's still the same.
Tried trough the web based suite.
Changed the PC, tried both solutions and still the same Sad
~Snipped~
Anyone else having this issue with Trezor One?
I have no issues with exporting data in all of the available formats and it's worth mentioning that you can export your data without connecting the Trezor One to your PC [make sure the "remember" function on Trezor Suite is checked for that wallet, then try the export function again (perhaps it's conflicting with something)]. Have you checked if both of your PCs are fully updated?
1348  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor mailing list breached on: April 04, 2022, 08:12:18 AM
  • Trezor users who have never signed up to any newsletter claim to have received the phishing emails as well.
That's not good [SMH]! Why did they give those emails to MailChimp [those emails have nothing to do with their newsletter]?
- I'm glad I bought my HW from one of their official resellers.

  • Reddit posts warning users about the attack are being downvoted.
IIRC, there was a way to either disable or hide that feature on each subreddit [they should temporarily do it].

This user claims he lost £55.000 after he received a phishing email.
Another "victim".

1349  Other / New forum software / Re: Progress? We're waiting... on: April 04, 2022, 06:43:00 AM
So does the latest version of SMF (the software currently being used here)...
It seems that you're right [source], but considering the fact that the current forum software [SMF 1.1.19] has been heavily modified, I'm assuming it'd take an equal amount of time [or more] to modify the latest version; hence, it made sense to opt for Epochtalk!
1350  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets for Long Term on: April 03, 2022, 06:01:32 PM
this one call the Trezor Model One looks decent
1351  Local / Pamilihan / Re: ASJ Global Legit or Scam? on: April 03, 2022, 04:57:02 PM
Yes, tama sila...

Kahit irenew pa nila yung domain, that could happen at any time [unfortunately] at mukhang mayroon na silang back up website:

1352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 19 millionth bitcoin will be mined in the next 24 hours. on: April 03, 2022, 02:25:38 PM
Because next millionth would after 50 years and then after another 50th year.
The first part [and almost 3/4th of the latter part] will happen sooner than that [refer to @Lucius's post].

Now people start thinking of possible ways to increase the limit from 21 million to a higher number.
But why would they think of such things [it doesn't really make sense, unless I'm missing something]?

But I do have a question: is this 19,000,000th bitcoin in circulation right. What about bitcoin that isn't moving at all, such as Satoshi's 1 million holdings? this still in the circulation of bitcoin? or how many bitcoins that are sleeping right now which means that it is not in the circulation since it is not moving .
Technically, it's still part of the circulation... There's a difference between "not having any kind of activities" and "no longer having the ability to use them [only the latter is considered not part of the circulation]".
1353  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S Plus on: April 03, 2022, 10:02:58 AM
It's like they have a gun pointed at them and someone forcing them to release software and hardware solutions before they have had a chance to test them properly.
Exactly, this might explain why few of the genesis editions have scratches: Just got the ledger nano S plus in the mail. Slight scratches on the metal.

btw. I don't know if you see what one of their co-founders aka reddit moderator claimed on reddit recently...
According to him ledger is more open source than trezor  Roll Eyes maybe that is true in some parallel universe.

Perhaps he/she completely forgot the firmware and secure element parts Cheesy

It seems that apart from its cheap-looking screen, the "buttons feels cheaper" than the non-plus version!
1354  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tonik Digital Bank planning to integrate crypto services sa app nila! on: April 03, 2022, 08:33:18 AM
Usually, pag hindi complicated or rather madaling gamitin yung mga ganitong apps, it's a trade off between convenience and security...

If ever nagawa ko ito, update din ako sa thread about my personally experience with the said application and bank.
Looking forward to it Smiley

Salamat sa detailed review... Halos lahat ng mga bagong platforms, maganda ang services nila sa una, pero unfortunately, pumapanget in the long run [e.g. fees], but the fact na you mentioned lately, maraming bug sa app na ito, it's a major concern since papasok sila sa crypto and AFAICS, mas madaming issues ang pwedeng mangyari with crypto transactions.

Is this a local bank who goes to digital?
AFAIK, they started as a neobank.
1355  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: https://eshop.powerfactoryinc.com/ on: April 02, 2022, 08:16:13 PM
By searching the web for reviews, there are nothing elsewhere.
That's due to the fact that they used to have a slightly different domain [powerrfactoryinc.com (archived)], but it seems that their hosting provider took down their website...

1356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone know BITVERGE.CO? Is it SCAM? on: April 01, 2022, 08:06:29 PM
Definitely a scam.
I registered 2 random accounts. The deposit address for each coin is the same:
(address scammer, don't send anything)
~Snipped~
looks like this scammer has got a lot of victims
Good catch... I'm surprised there's no report about the BTCitcoin address in question!

Duplicate site found: https://forexlegaltrade.com , https://www.assetfxmarket.com
Found a few more [might come in handy in reporting it to their registrar]:

1357  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin dump, anong nangyayari? on: April 01, 2022, 05:39:38 PM
Mukhang nag recover agad after nung nangyari kagabi [temporary market shock].

Wala itong impact kung ang ginagamit nating platform is really a decentralized exchange.

Unfortunately, it's slightly worse than that [source].
1358  Local / Pamilihan / Re: US-PHILIPPINES SILVER COINS FOR SALE on: April 01, 2022, 11:42:54 AM

Not sure kung gaano kasevere yung issue, pero if you can do what @Sanitough suggested, you should follow "this" format.
1359  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The EU May Vote to Ban Anonymous Crypto Payments on: April 01, 2022, 09:32:19 AM
They are requiring the whole lot of information from the exchanges to discharge the recipient details worth over 1000 Euros which is insane because these amounts are way too low.
Based on the first bullet point on that screenshot, it's slightly worse than that...

So every time when you send something from a hardware wallet like ledger of trezor and the balance is written to a new address in the same wallet you will have to re-verify that new address ??
Something like that, but realistically, I don't think they'd be able to ask for such information if the other end is "not" a centralized exchange.

On top of that all of your crypto must now be held in an exchange, meaning you cannot hold your private keys and when a hack happens you lose everything...
AFAICS, there's no restriction with keeping your funds on a non-custodial wallet.

I think the next step will be to try to kill DEX.
I don't think they'd be able to successfully kill a real decentralized exchange.
1360  Other / Meta / Re: IQ testing now required before posting on: April 01, 2022, 07:14:24 AM
we are only going to allow smart people to post.
~Snipped~
starting next week, everyone with an IQ below 120 will be banned.
Inner voice: But my mother always told me that those who have high IQ scores aren't really smart and the score/number in question, is an accurate representation of the time it takes for their brain to process information!
