Damn this odds format, it hurts my brains  Grin 8 to 1, 6 to 1 etc. i can understand it easily but why 7 to 2 instead of 3.5 to 1? It seems to me that no one likes complex fractions (where the base of the fraction is not a ten but random numbers) and this format makes it easy to get confused and draw the wrong conclusions.

Right? I also like it in decimal style. It is easier to read and understand for everyone.  Smiley  I see it in decimal on most gambling websites as well.

Anyway here we have the full (provisional) England squad for Euro 2024:

You won't see Rashford there.  Grin  Because I believe he doesn't deserve it after this horrible performance this year. I appreciate Southgate's choice. There are some new names to play in an official tournament for the first time. Such as Gordon, Mainoo, Quansah, Trafford as far as I can see.

Palmer can also be considered like that though as his playing time is really not much. He has had an amazing season.  Smiley

England has a really great squad and maybe this is their time, we will see...
Marcus Rashford is a big player without doubt and have been called to represent the England national team in different tournaments but was left out of the provisional squad that'll represent England in the upcoming UEFA Euros Championship that'll be played in the summer. Considering the choices the national team coach Gareth Southgate made, I think it's fair to say that Marcus Rashford's current performance do not in any way make him a better player than any of the forward players that was listed.
The England national team is one of the most talented team in the world and for you to represent the team in a major tournament like the Euros, you must be in a good form which unfortunately Marcus Rashford isn't at the moment.

Bad news came from the city. Ederson is considering leaving the club at the end of the season and he may be interesting to get a new atmosphere to play in the different league. It appears that he is satisfied with his achievements while playing for Manchester City. Some Saudi professional league clubs have targeted him.
There is no explanation as to whether he will leave the European continent or remain. He could still receive numerous offers from the big club considering he has a successful career in the manchester city.

There is no explanation for his departure from Manchester City and on which club that will be taking it as his next destination. It appears that Pep is also looking for a suitable replacement for Ederson as soon as possible considering that if manchester city will lose one of its best goal keeper but this may be taking more time consider it's not easy to find the best one for city. City can start to consider chelsea's goal keeper kepa. He is coming back again to the chelsea after real madrid decides not to make him as a permanent transfer.

I'm hoping he'll continue to play in European competitions rather than the Saudi Pro League. Ederson can still have bright future.

Ederson was transfered from Benfica on 2017 and at that time Manchester City have to pay with expensive price to gets him but Ederson performance never dissapointing and very consistent so that's why since he moved from Benfica to Manchester City Guardiola always be trust him as main goalkeeper of Manchester City and indeed Ederson have already to achieve almost every trophies with this team so he was thinking to leave Manchester City because Ederson want to look for new challenge and currently Ederson is 30 years old and i think he is not too old so with his performance i think Ederson still decent to playing at Europa but indeed some of clubs from Saudi Arabia has putting him into their radar and probably after summer transfer window opened they will make a bid and for Manchester City they don't mind if Ederson want to moved from this team as long as the offers is very decent to be considered and if this rumour happened i think it's not a big deal for Manchester City because i am sure they can found the replacement of him

I've read the report that Manchester City's Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson is likely to leave the club at the end of the season and for me,I don't know the reason why the club management is ready to let go a goalkeeper they had to sell off one of the best goalkeepers in 2017 in other to make room for him. Claudio Bravo was signed to Manchester City in the summer of 2016 after his heroic performances with the Barcelona team but Pep Guardiola who requested that club management should sign him because he wasn't okay with goalkeeping style of their former goalkeeper Joe Hart later told the club management he wants Ederson to be signed so he can become the club first choice goalkeeper.
Ederson as we all know didn't have a very good campaign with Manchester City this season but I don't think that should be the reason why the club should leave sell him off in the summer.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 23, 2024, 01:00:24 PM
The finals is fast approaching and we're going to see how Dortmund will battle it out against Real Madrid for who will be the champions and it is surprising to see a very disappointing Borussia Dortmund who couldn't get the trophy off the hands of Bayern Munich last season in the Bundesliga are in the final of the Champions League, is really shocking.
I think the Dortmund we're going to see in this encounter won't be the weak one we saw last campaign, they're going to make sure Madrid loses this champions league final since they (Real Madrid) haven't lost all 14 finals (correct me if I'm wrong) they play, I'd say this is the last bus stop for Madrid. I feel Dortmund are more sharper than the Madrid side, to me the Real Madrid squad only have too many hyped players and I don't see them winning this finals, is Dortmund all the way.
Leverkusen defeat in the Europa League against Atalanta reminded Madrid that they also seem to have to be careful because Dortmund could also do the same thing when everyone favors Real Madrid. Reflecting on Leverkusen, who were also considered a strong candidate to win the Tofi but in fact got results beyond our expectations because they thought they would continue their unbeaten record. So, Real Madrid must really focus and not let their guard down because in the final Dortmund motivation is greater than Madrid's target of winning 15 trophies. Meanwhile for Dortmund, this season's UCL trophy is not just a result, but a process that Dortmund has gone through to reach the top and become a big force to try to surprise Real Madrid.
Well done @naira for observation. The result of the UEFA Europa League final between Atalanta vs Bayer Leverkusen last night should serve as a wake up call for Real Madrid manager and players if they are serious with their quest to win the UEFA Champions League title this season. Bayer Leverkusen before that game of last night were unbeaten in 51 game in all competitions and approached the game with so much confidence that they're going to win but were shocked that they conceded three goals from just one Atalanta player but could not just find the back of the  net through out the game.
Bayer Leverkusen in my opinion underrated their opponents of last night which cost them the ultimate prize of lifting a European trophy. As a Real Madrid fan, I'll definitely feel very bad if Real Madrid doesn't win the UCL this season so my advise is that the club manager Carlo Ancelotti approach that game with all seriousness and should never underestimate the strength of their opponents Borussia Dortmund.

Rashford's performance is more constrained and actually not very good when compared to before and in fact this season Rashford's ego is even much bigger than before which makes the decline in his performance very pronounced.
Hopefully with the pause now although we don't know what future Rashford will take whether to stay at Manchester United or move he regains the momentum to make him worthy of being labeled as one of the young players who has great potential.

Exceptional player but if we focus on the team as such they are Playing very badly but as I said the problem is Ten Hag, although many do not Agree with me, I know I am not wrong, I hope this player stays in the MU while he Well, that coach, now if Ten Hag stays, he has to reconsider the idea of him staying, if Chelsea gave him an opportunity it would be a great option or he simply wouldn't hesitate, but he has to think about where he can have a better future He is still young to start having good victories, championships and everything, but he has to be there on a good team to be able to win.

The truth is that Marcus Rashford is an exceptional player that possesses the footballing strength and capability to go on and become one of the greats of the football but his performance in this current season doesn't in any way match to that of last season. Last season, he was more clinical in front of goal and was also contributed to more goals to his team than what we've seen from him this season. Like you rightly said, I think the club manager Erik ten Hag should be blamed for the club's poor performances this season because if a player like Jadon Sancho can leave the club and go on to have a great season at Borussia Dortmund, I also believe that a big player like Rashford can also do better under a better manager.
The worst mistake Manchester United can do this season if you ask me is to allow Erik ten Hag remain as their club manager beyond the end of the current season. They need to sack the Dutch man and bring a manager that'll bring out the best from the boys of they really want to improve their performance as a club.

Leverkusen oh Leverkusen, I lost my bet today because I was too optimistic about their win that I forgot that Atalanta had prepared an unexpected surprise. Without being able to score a goal back, it made me a little confused because Leverkusen's beautiful game was actually defeated by the Italian representatives.  what I fear will happen, Atalanta will be the only club that has managed to break Leverkusen unbeaten record. Atalanta pride certainly makes other clubs feel flattered, especially Bundesliga teams who are unable to do this, represented by Atalanta.
What happened in the final match was certainly very surprising and seemed to disappoint many bettors, because I'm sure many bet on Bayer Leverkusen with a large goal margin but on the contrary, it was quite unbelievable that their impressive record finally stopped in the match to win the title that is quite prestigious, but what is quite strange is how they were not only unable to reply but were unable to guard their goal well so they had to lose by a landslide score, and when Atalanta beat Liverpool at Anfield with the same score it should have been a warning that they are not just any team even though throughout the season their performance was not as impressive as Bayer, but in fact they are much more ready.

Atalanta is a team filled with surprises. Bayer Leverkusen, who have been dominant this season and with their unbeaten record, has made people forget the fact that Atalanta once silenced Liverpool 0-3 at Liverpool's home ground. I think the victory they got over Liverpool was not just luck, even, this is proof that Atalanta is a team with good performance and has the capability to become European League champions.

Bayer Leverkusen did not completely play badly, it's just that every effort they make is still not enough to be a goal because Atalanta's defense played quite solidly and Juan Musso is truly a tough goalkeeper who was able to stop several good opportunities that Leverkusen had. However, the one who really shined that night was Ademola Lookman because with the hat trick, he made Atalanta can get a steady victory and became Europa League champions for the first time in their history.
I watched the Atalanta vs Bayer Leverkusen UEFA Europa League final game last night from the very first minute till the last and I don't think I'll agree to the opinion that  Bayer Leverkusen didn't play well. Few days ago, I made a post on this thread in which I said that the biggest mistake Bayer Leverkusen will do in that game is to underestimate the strength of their Italian opponents in that final and looking at how Bayer Leverkusen approached that game from the start to finish, I think they were too relaxed and had that strong confidence and conviction that they're definitely going to beat Atalanta in the final.
The Italian club approached the game with more determination for a win and that's why they succeeded in winning that particular game against Leverkusen last night. Ademola Lookman was insanely electrifying last night with his performance and that was why he became the first footballer to score a hattrick im the final of the competition.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 23, 2024, 12:34:45 PM
Atalanta completed a difficult job and they succeeded, Atalanta showed a fantastic performance and they made a big surprise by beating Leverkusen and even breaking Leverkusen's unbeaten record this season.

Ademola Lookman scored a hat trick in this match, it was truly extraordinary, I was really impressed with Atalanta's performance which was well organized in all areas to be able to beat Leverkusen with a fairly landslide score.
Atlanta, which previously continued to be underestimated, was finally able to surprise everyone in this match, Atalanta previously lost the opportunity to win the Coppa Italia trophy because they lost to Juventus who were in poor performance, then we all thought that Atlanta had no hope of being able to beat Leverkusen, who previously had a record which is very impressive with 51 unbeaten matches in all competitions this season, in the final match, Atlanta experienced quite a lot of pressure after continuing to receive attacks from the Leverkusen squad, but the solid defense they built ultimately made Atlanta succeed in winning the European League this season and becoming the first team which destroyed Leverkusen unbeaten record this season.

Currently, Atlanta has secured one Champions League ticket for next season because it is in 5th place in the Serie A standings, but apart from successfully winning the European League, of course Atlanta also has the right to get an automatic ticket to the Champions League next season through the European League champion route, so that with success Atlanta winning the European League of course also provides a big advantage for Serie A which automatically now has 6 tickets to play in the Champions League next season, so I think Roma, who are currently ranked 6th, should be grateful to Atlanta because they also get the opportunity to play in the Champions League next season after Atlanta won the European League this season.

Atalanta last night succeeded to accomplish a result that many people including bookmakers never believed they'll achieve and that was to beat reigning German champions Bayer Leverkusen in Dublin. Before the kick off of the UEFA Europa League final last night, many people were of the opinion that Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen were definitely going to win the game as they've not lost any game in all competitions in their last 51 matches. I was also backing Leverkusen to win because I felt they have a better formidable squad to win that particular match.
A friend of mine before the game reminded me of the performance of Atalanta against Liverpool at Anfield last month in the first leg of their quarter final tie and told me that should Atalanta score first against Bayer Leverkusen, they'll definitely win that game. After the first half, the Italian team were leading by two goals to nil and that my friend also called and told me that Atalanta is going to be champions of the Europa League. Congratulations to Atalanta for winning their first European trophy last night.

Pep Guardiola is farming the premier league successfully. All the top teams in the EPL have lost their confidence and do not see themselves competing at a equal level with Manchester City. Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool (adding Liverpool to the list because I know they are going to be in big trouble next season if they cannot find a manager as good as Klopp) are struggling to keep their heads above water.
Pep Guardiola have successfully boosts the confidence of his players and also himself to become ambitious to winning the English Premier League every season. Turning the EPL to farmer's League was not considerably because England is nothing like Bundesliga or Seria A where we gets comfortable watching one club winning the league title over and over again. I believe next season comes with firing stats from other elite teams that will become more straight when it comes to their performance.
Before the arrival of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, the best
consecutive record of titles an English Premier League club have won kept was three and because we've seen more than three consecutive title wins by a club in the other top five leagues in Europes, almost everyone believed that the English Premier League was the kost difficult league in Europe and the world in general. Fast forward to eighth years later, Pep Guardiola have broken the record of the highest number of consecutive title wins of the league by winning the league in four consecutive times and because of that, many people now believes that the English Premier League is just like every other league in Europe because what Pep Guardiola did in Spain and Germany, he's repeated it in England and even more that he did in the previous leagues he's managed a club in.
That's simply what Pep Guardiola can do. The Spaniard have created a coaching world of his own with his unbelievable records of which I don't think any other manager will attempt to break in the future. I'm not a fan of his kind of football but I just have to agree to the fact that he's an incredible manager.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: May 23, 2024, 12:17:44 PM

Guys, do you often feel like me? when I raise the bet I lose and when I lower the bet I win. Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying

in that situation sometimes things can happen that are annoying, especially if you want a big win, but on the contrary, maybe you just haven't been lucky, but sometimes our minds keep thinking about that because it is thought that there is a system that deliberately regulates wins and losses, that's not what happens because of our negative thoughts. I know and understand that in gambling there are no guarantees on every bet, maybe forgetting about it is the best way for us to take.

The truth is that wether the casino systems/algorithms detects when we bet big enough, they can actually can not affect the result of our bets and that's we shouldn't think that our failure to win when we bet big is been controlled by the casino companies. When you are always losing when you get big, it's likely to be caused by your gambling opinions whenever you bet big. Probably you do make better decisions when you bet small instead of when you bet big so my suggestion is that you try as much as possible to device better gambling strategies whenever you bet big so it'll help you increase your chances of winning.
Another factor that might cause your inability to win big when you gamble big is the "lucky factor". Some people aren't always lucky when they gamble big but are very likely to win when they gamble small so I'll advise you figure out what works for you and stick to it
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 22, 2024, 08:49:04 PM
Atalanta are playing well and they are still very likely to find the 3rd goal before the game ends. Defensive concentration has been improved and this is what helps the most to maintain the lead. Leverkusen still have 20 minutes to make a comeback, but I can't necessarily believe they can do it if their opponent's defense is not bad in the final minutes.
Atalanta managed to score their 3rd goal as you said. And now I think Atalanta really can no longer be stopped and most likely with a score of 3-0 it is almost certain that Atalanta will be champions in this European League Final. This will also make Atalanta the first team to beat Leverkusen, who have never lost in all competitions this season. And it looks like Leverkusen will experience the same defeat as they experienced in their previous meeting 2 seasons ago when they faced Atalanta. I was a little disappointed because I had too high hopes for Leverkusen. But I admit that the game shown by Atalanta was indeed better in this match compared to Leverkusen, which is still having difficulty penetrating Atalanta's defense.

Congratulations to Ademola Lookman who managed to score a hat trick in this match. He scored the first goal in the 12th minute, then in the 26th minute and the last goal in the 75th minute. And now we can see Atalanta also almost scored again. This will really be a very valuable lesson for Xabi Alonso to make better preparations next season. Because next season Leverkusen will play in the UCL.
Before the game kicked off, I told us in the thread that the two players to watch out for tonight are the two Nigerian attackers in both teams. Atalanta manager started with his Nigerian winter Ademola Lookman and his strong faith and believe on the capabilities of the Nigeria international has just paid off as Ademola Lookman was able to score three goals in the game. Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso decided to start his own Nigerian striker from the the bench but introduced him to the game in the second half.
We know that Bayer Leverkusen have in several times made surprise comebacks this season but I don't see them getting a single game in this game talk more of coming back. It'll definitely be a huge win for Atalanta as this will be their first European trophy.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 22, 2024, 06:47:42 PM
I like many here think Bayer will be champions, but I really hope there will be surprises in this match... Although usually the final matches are not rich in goals, I want to see goals from both teams... By the way, bookmakers give good odds that both teams will score, but favour Bayer... But it's probably safe to take a chance and place a small bet on Atalanta taking the title... The odds are more than 2...

I am very neutral in this game. Both teams are very good and Andy of them that wins it deserves it very much. Atalanta has been very good this season, they started the season slowly but now they're doing very well. They have all it takes to win Leverkusen.
Leverkusen on the other hand have been very good all season. They haven't even lost any match this season. Winning the final today would mean they finished the season unbeaten, that's an insane record. I don't think any team have achieved that before.

Knowing how funny and cruel football is, I might just bet on Atalanta to win. Leverkusen are having a fairy tale season, winning the Europa would be the icing on the cake and somehow I have a feeling they might not achieve it. I know they're the better team and the odds are in their favour, but football can be funny at times so I'm sticking with my gut for my bet.
I think the both teams perfectly deserve their places to be in this final and that's why I don't think it'll be okay to underestimate any of the teams. I'm not a fan of any of both sides but I've got an interest in both teams. Both teams possesses two Nigeria internationals and I'll be very delighted to see the Nigerians shin in the team. Atalanta starts the game with Nigeria attacker  Ademola Lookman while Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface is going to start from the bench.
For Bayer Leverkusen, it'll be a another great milestone achievement of they can get the winning tonight as they've already achieved so many interesting records this season while for Atalanta, it'll also be one of their greatest achievements in the history of the club to win the UEFA Europa League trophy. I'm going to watch the game as a neutral and hopefully the both teams are going to keep everyone entertained through out the
duration of the game.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: May 22, 2024, 06:37:29 PM
Yes, maybe that could happen because Al Nassr needs defenders to keep their defense stronger next season, for the attack line I don't think there will be any changes because currently Al Nassr has a very good front line and is almost the same as Al Hilal in terms of productivity their goals are even currently one of the Al Nassr players is the top scorer in the Saudi League so there is no doubt that Al Nassr's front line is part of it and they only need to spend money to recruit the players the coach needs, we don't know when Ronaldo's retirement will be for the season. In the future, Ronaldo will be 40 years old and that is the right age to retire, but if his performance is still good, why retire? he can further enrich himself before enjoying his hard work in old age.

I am sure that if Al Nassr has made changes next season they will compete fiercely in the hunt for the Saudi League title. Al Hilal will play competitively like this season but Al Nassr will take revenge this season which has been beaten many times by Al Hilal, to be honest I want to see Ronaldo won the title for the last time and he could only decide to retire with a feeling of pride.
I think this Summer will be seeing Al-Nassr doing some great signings especially as they would want to be chasing the league title. This will be the club’s min target next season as they have in mind that Ronaldo’s performance could decline a little next season. So they will want to get the best from him by at lest winning the league which will be him conquering all clubs he’s played for.

He’s so crucial and have much to offer to the club, so I think the club having this in mind will do all to at least win the trophy. Age isn’t on his side anymore though he has good fitness and he has a very great lassion for football so there are speculations he could still be available next season. I think majorly what the club needs is to empower their defense and rebuild on it while doing great adjustments to the midfield, I think this wil be pretty enough to make them be able to contest for the league title.

Well I think the club has the finance so they will be able to fight for some great signings. I as a fan of Ronaldo will love to see him lift the league which will be a great addition for him and a great feat attained. He has a lot to offer and I think this should be the club’s driving factor to making some signings to help the club attain victory.
In terms of performances, Al Nassr did put out a very impressive performance this season but despite their incredible results, they weren't able to stop Al Hilal from dominating the Saudi Pro League and that's why I agree to the opinion that they'll surely be very active in the transfer market in their bid to get players that'll help them remain competitive in the Saudi league and other competitions come next season. They already have a world class striker in Cristiano Ronaldo who is scoring goals for fun despite his old age and I'm certain he's going to continue his prolific form in front of goal come next season so the club management will likely get players that'll help the team in the perceived weak positions at the club so they can be able to match any club they meet next season including Al Hilal
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 22, 2024, 06:29:17 PM
People who borrow money to gamble mean they have an addiction, it will be very difficult to fix. I agree with the points you gave, it will make gambling more focused and safer. Many of my friends borrow money from online loans to gamble and in the end they can't pay. One of the reasons not to gamble with borrowed money is that the risk of not being able to pay is very high. Gambling is a game and cannot provide definite profits, so if you lose while gambling it will be more difficult for you to pay. Apart from that, it will also worsen financial losses, because apart from losing your money, you also have to replace the money you borrowed. This will make the situation even more complicated. You have to be more careful because otherwise your family will definitely be affected.
I was once an addicted gambler and it got so bad that one day, I had to go borrow money from a close friend just to satisfy my gambling addiction but the most thoughtless thing about my decision to borrow that day was that I didn't even know how to raise the money to pay him back if I eventually lose the money. So the only conviction I had was that I'm definitely going to win and return his money while taking the rest one I won as my gain for gambling but unfortunately for me, I lost that money and it brought serious issues between me and my friend because I couldn't pay back the money. Gambling is one of the worst things that can happen to anyone because it'll ruin so many things about an affected person including relationships with friends and relatives. It's never a good decision to borrow money to gamble and no matter how tempting the urge to borrow grows in any gambler, my advise is that you shouldn't ever borrow money to gamble
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 20, 2024, 05:57:33 PM
I perfectly understand that Real Madrid is the most successful club in Europe and as the most successful European club, they have that winning mentality which I think is necessary of their biggest weapons as a club but after the result of their game today against Villarreal and how Villarreal were able to come from three goals down draw the game, I became worried of what Real Madrid in the final against a Borussia Dortmund team that's more formidable than Villarreal.
Borussia Dortmund did not win any other trophy and the only way they can finish the season a trophy is by winning the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid so I expect them to be at their best when facing Madrid. Real Madrid despite their result today against Villarreal is stilly favorite team to win that final but they must definitely be at their best to achieve that against Borussia Dortmund

Just because Dortmund haven't won a single trophy doesn't mean they have a better chance win it in the Champions League final than Real Madrid. Moreover, Real Madrid have so much more experience in this tournament that they can play more confidently, although these are just my assumptions. There is no need now to evaluate Real's defense based on the match with Villarreal, because there you need to evaluate the match comprehensively, starting with their squard and ending with motivation. In the final everything will be different, and most likely it will be Dortmund who will play most of the match in defense, unless they concede an early goal and have to win back.

Quote
Joselu: “These matches allow us to prepare for what's coming in two weeks”
"We have been very consistent throughout the season", said the forward, who netted Madrid's second goal.

Joselu said in point. I am going to say that Real Madrid is going to be the winner of this Champions League final just because of the history that Real Madrid has in the Champions League competition. They are definitely one of the best teams to play in the Champions League. And we all remember the numerous times that has been able to make a comeback from unbelievable situations and win Champions League matches. That's why I think Real Madrid should be able to win the Champions League title this season. But of course, whenever there is a final being played, we have to assume that both of the teams have a 50-50 chance to win. And of course, both of the teams also have the capability of winning the final. That's why they are in the final in the first place. But Real Madrid is undoubtedly going to be the favorite.

The fact that Borussia Dortmund haven't won a trophy this season is the main reason why the club will definitely put in their best when they face Real Madrid in the final of the UEFA Champions League competition. Real Madrid without doubt is the most successful club in the history of the competition but that doesn't automatically mean that they'll win any final of the competition they play in as history have it that they've also lost few European Cup finals before now.
As a Real Madrid fan, wish is that the club wins the UEFA Champions League title this season ahead of Borussia Dortmund and I strongly believe that my wish is definitely going to come to pass after the final whistle of the final but that doesn't mean that I'm not expecting a surprise result that'll be contrary to my wish. Borussia Dortmund this season in the UEFA Champions League competition have shown so much resilience and determination to win the competition and I think they'll take that strong determination to the final of the competition
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: May 20, 2024, 05:50:31 PM
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City wanted to repeat their feat of last season by winning the UEFA Champions League, English Premier League and the English FA Cup competitions but Real Madrid stopped them from achieving another treble this season but despite their elimination from the UEFA Champions League competition, Manchester City can still go on and win two out of the three trophies they won last season. Yesterday in the English Premier League, Manchester City were able to win the English Premier League after defeating West Ham and will now have to face their city neighbors Manchester United at Wembley for the final of the English FA Cup competition.
In my own opinion, I think the citizens are definitely going to win that particular final. Manchester United who haven't been able to win any trophy this season is expected to be at their best when they face Manchester City in the final but considering the performances of both teams, Manchester City will win
Maintaining what was won last season is more difficult than achieving it, Manchester City has tried to repeat last season's success, but Real Madrid has knocked Manchester City out of the UCL early. Manchester City performance is not too disappointing this season, Pep Guardiola has just led The Cityzen to defend the EPL trophy for four consecutive seasons and still has the chance to win the FA CUP trophy. Of course, Manchester City will not waste the opportunity to win the FA CUP trophy, they will also win it from Manchester United like when they won the EPL trophy from Arsenal.
It's not often that we see clubs with the treble and that's why the only English Premier League club that's won the the treble before Manchester City achieved that feat last season was Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United so I wasn't surprised that Pep Guardiola's Manchester City failed to repeat that same achievement of last season in the current season. Pep Guardiola as we all know is the only manager that's one the treble two times as he did win it during his time at Barcelona and last season with Manchester City but one thing about the Spanish manager is that he's always trying to break as many records as possible.
I'm yet to see manager who's very eager to break records that'll remain untouched for ages like Pep Guardiola but that's actually a very interesting feature of the Manchester City manager and that why he's been able to achieve so many records in the world football over the years.

Atalanta is still fighting for some Champions LEague spot on Serie A, so maybe they can come to the final with a Champions LEague next seasons ecured, or more tired and without that, is a minor thing but in the overall analisys still a important thing to know when we are gonna analize the final.

Until now LEverkusen is 65% odds and Atalanta 35% odds for me.

As far as I know, Atalanta has secured a ticket to the Champions League next season through the Serie A standings because AS Roma was unable to catch them so if Atalanta is defeated in the European League final match, it doesn't matter, they already have tickets or vice versa Atalanta win then they have 2 tickets. We know that most people predict Leverkusen has a greater chance of winning the trophy but basically there is no reason to underestimate Atalanta because Atalanta has a good history before reaching the final.

Last season Europa League final was one example, when AS Roma was the main favorite but in the end Sevilla managed to win it, we really don't know what scenario will happen especially if the match has to end through a penalty shootout. Leverkusen and Atalanta are teams that have strong defenses so there is a possibility that the match will end in a draw.
For Atalanta to lose their current position of finishing the season in the top five of the Italian Serie A table, they must lose their last two games of the season while Roma wins theirs with over 9 goals margin and that's why I think it's almost impossible to stop Atalanta from playing in the UEFA Champions League competition come next season. This Wednesday, Atalanta will travel to Dublin in United Kingdom to face Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa League final game and are very focused in that game because if they for any reason defeat German champions Bayer Leverkusen, it'll definite their season asca club.
After the Europa League final, Atalanta last two league games of the are two home games season against Torino and Fiorentina and there's no way they'll lose the two matches

To be fair Al Nassr was considered one of the best teams in the league even before Ronaldo, and one of the reasons for that was Talisca, and also they had Aboubhakar who played well enough.

Now they have Ronaldo, and the dude scored the most goals so I do give him his due credit, he did play well, but I do not know what made everyone else so bad, it is not like he is some midfielder who didn't pass, dude is a striker, he is not a winger like his youth anymore, he is just a top goalscorer at the striker position which is what he can only do, and he still have a team that gets worse the more he plays. Maybe it is basically because on the big games he is usually not there, maybe the fact that he scored bunch of goals to easy opponents and then fail to score against bigger teams.
The truth is that Cristiano Ronaldo have done exceptionally well for his club Al Nassr since he was signed to the club last year winter transfer window. Before his arrival like you rightly said, the club was doing exceptionally well and was considered as one of the best clubs in the league but they never had the sort of global exposure as they have now that Cristiano Ronaldo is part of the club and that's why all lot of people who started following the development at the club have been small knowledge of gow the club was performing before Cristiano Ronaldo joined.
The Portuguese superstar's job as the club's main striker is to score a lot of goals and that obligation he has fulfilled very well but despite him impressive number of goals, the club is still struggling to win trophies. Hopefully they're going to do better next season.

We could overcome stress on the days that you're not drained of money, then choose the betting games for sports betting because it's less stressful than slots games.
When you had a good mood, I believed gambling luck will get good results compared to negative emotions.
Less energy beguns within yourself, you should be gaining more of it before engagement of gambling. By the time struggles came in, you knew how to handle pressures and stress will be minimized.
Someones even in the best of times and positive energy, we lose in gambling. There is no hard and fast rule that if we are positive and fresh, we will win. Even with the hardest of days when you are down to earth with all the negatives emotions, you may find yourself lucky in gambling.

I think in order to gamble stress free it is important to gamble with less money. This way you won't be much concerned about the loss and you will enjoy the game better. I think it is losing a lot of money in gambling, that gives us big time stress and trouble.
That is the thing, while gambling your happy and cheerful day could turn into a sad day, or your sad upsetting day could turn into a very cheerful and happy day. Maybe you are facing some relationship problems and you are not doing that well that day, you are unhappy, there are problems, then you gamble and if you lose even more that would be sad but you are already sad anyway, but if you suddenly turn 40 dollars into 800 dollars because of some lucky draw, suddenly your day becomes better.

Not meant like go ahead and gamble when you are sad, I do not like to play when I am in certain emotion too much, not too happy not too sad, I like to play when I am in normal  mood but this doesn't mean that it may not work better for you.
In as much as we believe that there's more probability of winning more in gambling when we gamble with positive mind and free spirit, it doesn't still guarantee that we're going to win whenever we play gambling with a happy mind. Like one of the persons that responded to this post said, they're not trusted rules that guarantees winnings in gambling and that's actually what it is. I've seen someone who walked into a gambling hall before feeling very happy and excited because of how successful his day was and decided to gamble with his positive mindset and vibes but lost a huge sum of money at the end and I've also seen someone that walked into a gambling shop to gamble because he was really depressed for losing a lot of money in his business but when he was leaving the place, he had already won enough money that helped him recover from his losses of the day. Gambling isn't a bad omen if we gamble responsibly so engaging in gambling with the sole aim of gambling responsibly is the best gambling hack

I agree with you. AS Roma had good results when De Rossi took over as coach of As Roma. And it was a little too late to improve their ranking. This is a pretty good result, they managed to get tickets to the European league next season. With one match remaining, it is impossible for As Roma to catch Atalanta. Poor results with 2 draws and 1 defeat meant they failed to overtake Atalanta. On the other hand, Atalanta is playing very well this season. They could even have the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League if they become European champions. So I think Atalanta has the right to play in the champions league next season.

Bro, as I said before Serie A has 5 tickets to the Champions League for grabs and Atalanta already got one ticket because they finished in 5th place. You need to know that Serie A can actually have 6 tickets if Atalanta win the European League and Atalanta finish in 6th place then one ticket will be given to the team that finishes in 5th place, but in this scenario Atalanta is in 5th place, meaning Atalanta has the opportunity to get 2 tickets to the champions league.

This scenario could happen if Atalanta loses the next 2 matches in Serie A and AS Roma won the last match by scoring 9 goals then AS Roma will take 5th place it's just that this scenario is impossible to happen somehow AS Roma scored 9 goals and match-fixing may be applied, obviously both teams will avoid it.
I think you got your analysis wrong on this one because there's no way we're going to have six Italian teams participate in next season's UEFA Champions League competition and I'll explain how. The current UEFA rules allows five Italian teams to represent the league in the UEFA Champions League competition but the truth is that not more than five Italian teams will play in the UEFA Champions League competition no matter where they finish in the league table and who wins the UEFA Europa League competition this season.
If for any reason Roma happens to beat Atalanta to the fifth position of the league table even when we know it's almost impossible and then Atalanta wins the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, what will happen is that fifth placed team in the league table Roma will not participate again in the UCL but will rather be moved back to the Europa League while Atalanta will join the top four clubs in the league table and play in the UEFA Champions League come next season.

Also don't forget to congratulate Aston Villa who managed to finish in 4th place meaning they will play in the Champions League next season Aston Villa managed to eliminate Tottenham from the race for the last ticket, will Aston Villa be able to compete in the Champions League? To be honest, I doubt it, especially when I see their performance in the last 4 matches is quite bad.
It was a bit unexpected to see Aston Villa defeat at the end of the season. But on the other hand, I am well aware that this season Crystal Palace has many surprises for their opponents. So even though Aston Villa lost they still qualified for the Champions League with great pride. Their entry into the ranks of top clubs indicates that there is very good movement under Unai Emery control. Aston Villa is also lucky that Unai has a contract until 2027 so he has plenty of time to continue developing. Last season they were only able to finish in 7th place in the standings and now they can accompany Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal as representatives of England, that alone is an extraordinary achievement.
During the start of the season, Aston Villa struggled in their first few games but later picked up good form and remained consistent with it. Finishing in the top four of the English Premier League table is actually a very big achievement for a team like Aston Villa and that's they've been receiving so many praises from people concerning for such achievement. The club's manager Unai Emery does understand European football very well as he's the most successful manager in UEFA Europa League competition and I think his experience in Europe is going to help the club perform well in the UCL come next season.
Talking about Crystal Palace, their impressive performance this season started very late and that's why they weren't able to finish in a position that should've guaranteed them European football next season. Hopefully for both clubs, they'll finish next season in a better position though I think it'll be almost impossible for Aston Villa to finish in a position that's better than their current position come next season.

If Lewandowski stays and Barcelona finds another striker, he might be facing a rough next season when it happens again that he can't deliver for several games in a row. This season it was still no problem for him as he didn't really have too much competition on his position, but his time may have come now and Xavi takes the consequences and lets him sit on the bench. The good times for him come to an end now I feel.
He head what’s been a top notch striker and there was and still is a lot of expectations on him after he signed up from Bayern Munich. He practically carried the team on his shoulders in that time but now, his different. He’s not been constituting a lot of threats for Barcelona and Xavi is really taking note of his game plays lately. He might have a few more season with the club but, his going to have difficulty finding game times. Fermin happens to have been the player to see Barcelona through in their mid week game and Lewandowski only managed to send out a few weak shots. His got more quality than that but, it’s lacking and Barcelona can’t give him ore playing time if his not delivering as expected.

I am not sure that Lewandowski will get a lot of chances next season if he doesn't score a proper number of goals. It will also depend on their activity in the transfer market. But his star isn't rising anymore to say the least. He has his qualities, but speed is a big question in my opinion, I like how he plays and he can play a good style within teams that suit him, but I am not sure that Barcelona is still the style he can benefit from. They are more about a high technique level and speed and Lewandowski is getting older and slower. The next season might be the one where he realizes that he is probably sitting more on the bench than getting time on the pitch.

Robert Lewandowski is currently above the age of 35 and as such, you don't expect him to continue be as prolific as he was during his 20s. Currently in the Barcelona team, they do not have any striker that's capable of challenging Robert Lewandowski for to no.9 role at the club and that why I don't expect him to struggle retain his place as the club's regular starter next season. The Poland international have been very impressive with his performances for the club and was one of the main reasons Barcelona win the Spanish La Liga last season. This season, he's be doing his best to help the club remain competitive despite the injuries that kept jim sidelined for some part of the season.
The club's current financial crises I don't think will permit them to sign a striker that'll be able to challenge Robert Lewandowski for the teams regular shirt next season so I think it's safe to say that we're still going to witness another season that the Poland international will remain as the club manager's first choice
