There are places where old culture is still being practice especially in rural areas. They have the belief that old people who are in this venue much longer are those who can give wisdom and additional knowledge about the game, though we all know that this new generation, we already have different perspectives.

No one can accurately predict, but the good thing with experience is that it can give you some idea how the game should be played the right way.
I know for for that even till this very moment, there are people who still believe in the old religion especially in gambling. They believe that there's a possibility of foreseeing the outcome of games even before kick-off but I personally do not believe in that superstitious belief. That belief has rendered many old men in my locality useless because they think that there's someone somewhere who's capable of predicting game so they stake all their hard earned money on such predictions and in most cases they do end up losing their money.

Gambling I believe is majorly a game of luck and that's can never totally trust anyone's prediction because all predictions in my own opinion is liable to not end as predicted.

Yes I mean the Bernabeu is literally where he belongs. They fit together very well, the club and him. He is a gentleman and a great coach, a great personality and Real Madrid is the most recognized club in the world. So there is no disagreement about that. I wonder what he would do in 2026 if everything is looking great and going well. I believe someone like him will have a hard time to once and for all say goodbye to soccer. it is really his life although he is one of the calmest coaches I have ever seen. The most you can see from him is when he is showing his fist out of joy. But he isn't screaming or escalating. Great coach and I hope we'll see him a few more years.
Of course he is quite comfortable at Real Madrid, even Ancelotti contract extension the previous week is certainly one of the reasons that Ancelotti loyalty to Real Madrid is so great. In fact, He was willing not to accept the offer as Brazil coach because he was more interested in continuing the project at Real Madrid that he had built. I think as long as he is still fit enough on the edge of the pitch then Real madrid will continue to use his services. And the new contract received by Ancelotti will expire until 2026 so there is plenty of time for him to bring lots of trophies for Real madrid.

In this transfer window, It is believed that Real Madrid will re-sign several players to strengthen their squad. Ancelotti main target is a player in the striker position because Real Madrid needs a striker who is ready to score lots of goals and Joselu can't do that this season so Real madrid needs a player to replace joselu in Real madrid front line. Maybe the names of top player that are often associated are Mbappe and Osimhen. Let's see if Ancelotti will bring back high quality players like Mbappe or Martinez.

This contract could be a hidden clue if you ask me as Ancelotti might know more what is going on behind the scenes and what Perez is planning for the club. If all these things are huge and Ancelotti was introduced to those plans, maybe that changed his mind and he knew that this a huge chance for him to have several more amazing years as a coach of the biggest club in the world. I was quite sure that he has reached this age and thought becoming a national coach would be perfect for him, but something happened that made him change his mind obviously. What could it be?
One thing about Real Madrid president Fiorentino Perez is that he's a master planner when it comes to football management and that's why he's succeeded in winning more UEFA champions league titles in his reign as the president of the club than any other football club president has ever managed. Before Carlo Ancelotti extended his contract with the Spanish giants last month, reports already had it that he was gonna leave the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season while Xabi Alonso was lined up to replace Italian manager. But after Real Madrid extended his contract, the news of Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso joining Real Madrid next season reduced.

But because of how strategic Real Madrid president can be, I think he might still have plans of bringing in Alonso to the club anytime soon. The only factor that'll keep Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid till the expiration of his contract at Real Madrid is if he can continue to win many more titles for the club else, We might just Alonso been announced as Real Madrid boss before the end of Ancelotti's current contract with the club.

Leverkusen is making full efforts to maintain existing interventions from various European teams who are interested in their wing-back, Jeremie Frimpong, this January. Leverkusen confirmed that they would not sell Jeremie Frimpong this January and that any European team who wanted him would have to wait until June next summer to trigger his release clause of 40 million euros.

I think this fee is still quite reasonable and the elite European teams don't seem to mind spending quite a lot of money to be able to secure the services of one of Leverkusen's key players. Jeremie Frimpong's performance since last season has been very impressive and it is not surprising that he is now being targeted by various European teams. I'm curious about where he will continue his career after closing this season with Leverkusen.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1742939275719819663
I was very surprised to see reports of other European clubs who wants to get the services of Bayer Leverkusen's wing back Jeremie Frimpong. Bayer Leverkusen have been absolutely impressive since the start of the season and Frimpong is one of the regular players that's been key to the club's success this season and that's why I think it'll not be possible for Bayer Leverkusen to let go of one of their most important players in the middle of the season.

If there's any possibility of Frimpong leaving Bayer Leverkusen, then it'll definitely be in the summer when he's finally helped his club achieve their aims this season.

The unluckiest team of the round is Copenhagen of course. They have a very tough draw against Manchester City and they will probably get destroyed easily as well. I respect their challenge in the group stage a lot. Just as Galatasaray were Copenhagen were also very ambitious to get points. But it looks like this is the end of the road for Copenhagen.  Smiley

I would have been happier to see Galatasaray in Copenhagen's place. I mean the draw would have still been very tough but at least they could have made much more money before being eliminated by the Manchester club. But anyways, the top title favourite Manchester City should have no problem on finishing off Copenhagen.

I don't think that Copenhagen were unlucky with their round of 16 draw against Manchester City and I have my reasons of saying that. For a team to avoid been drawn against some certain teams  in the round of 16 of the UEFA champions league competition, they must have to finish at the top of their group stage table.
Copenhagen without doubt did exceptionally well to progress from a team that consists of Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Galatasaray but they only progressed as runners up to Bayern Munich who who the table and that's why they'll have to face a team that finished as winners of another group. There's no doubt to the fact that Manchester City have a greater chances of winning the tie against Copenhagen, but I that if Copenhagen can play on their full strength, they can surprisingly reach the last eight of the competition at the expense of Manchester City.

I’m looking at how Tottenham will fare in the absence of Son when they host Manchester United next weekend. I haven’t seen any Tottenham game without Son because he’s always been present for them and he’s a top player who turns up in almost every game for them.

Undoubtedly, Son Heung-Min has been the best player for Tottenham since the start of the season and losing him now at beginning of the second half of the season will definitely affect the performance of Tottenham Hotspur in their next games without their club captain
However, considering how impactful the club's manager Ange Postecoglou has been in the performance of the club since the start of the season, I think he possesses the managerial abilities and experience to help Tottenham Hotspur win gams without the presence of Son Heung-Min. Hopefully, the North London club will not lose their current spot in the league before Son Heung-Min comes back from international duties.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 05, 2024, 06:35:13 PM
Las Palmas' quality of play was very good and they led 1-0 in the first half of the game but Barcelona went into the second half with the score level at 1-1. Barcelona scored another goal and won the match in which case it can be said that Barcelona's quality of play was not good. Because it is so difficult for Barcelona to win matches against teams like Las Palmas Barcelona were the team expected to be at least 2 goals ahead of Las Palmas but it wasn't enough for Barcelona as they went into extra time and scored another goal by penalty short after 90 minutes of play.

Football is a game of two halves and that's why for any team to win a football match, they must be prepared to perform well in the two halves. Yesterday, Las Palmas were the best team of only the first half of their Spanish La Liga game against Barcelona but couldn't reciprocate their first half performance in the second half of the game and that's why they lost a game they were leading in the first half.
Barcelona were the better side in the second half of the Spanish La Liga game at Las Palmas and should've even win the game with a better scoreline but relied on Ilkay Gundogan's stoppage time goal to claim all three points from the game.
1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: January 05, 2024, 06:14:59 PM
Of course if Mohammed Salah leaves and is replace by Kylian Mbappe it won't be a big problem for Liverpool but unfortunately there are many clubs who want Mbappe such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal so at least Liverpool must reach a definite agreement before taking step to sell Salah because it is feared that the dream of recruiting Mbappe will not come true.
With Real's recent strong moves yielding no results, I think it's quite challenging for Liverpool to secure Mbappe. Even if Liverpool decides to sell Salah or not, this deal seems difficult. Mbappe recently stated that he hasn't made an official decision on his destination yet, but he hinted at reaching an agreement with PSG's president. With this agreement, both PSG and Mbappe won't suffer any harm if he leaves PSG.

Additionally, Mbappe mentioned that he will make a decision about his future soon, avoiding a repeat of the 2022 mistake. Despite his words, in my perception, he seems to be in a state similar to 2022, not knowing what he wants or where he wants to go with so many clubs pursuing him. This is evident from his direct contact with Real's president Perez earlier, making them strive to bring him in, but in recent days, he's suggesting that he might stay at PSG. Therefore, I think Liverpool should forget about Mbappe and focus on other feasible transfer deals.
The possibility of Mohammed Salah playing for Liverpool beyond the current season is very slim if you ask me and that's why a lot of reports are suggesting the possible players that have been lined up by Liverpool to replace the Egypt national team captain which Kylian Mbappe happens to be one of those names. Mbappe in recent years have been linked with a move away from Parc des Princes but all of them have been abortive as the France international is still donning the jerseys of Paris Saint Germaine at the moment.

But considering recent reports, it seems like Kylian Mbappe will finally leave this summer but reports have it that his potential destination is Real Madrid and not Liverpool, Real Madrid is reported to have had an agreement to sign Mbappe. That report isn't yet confirmed and that's why I think Liverpool still have a chance but personally, I think it'll be very difficult for The Reds to convince him and bring him to Anfield
1228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 05, 2024, 06:02:56 PM

So I would like to know your own experience when making or taking risk in gambling under pressure.

We should avoid gambling when we are under pressure. This is something we have to maintain for sure. But yeah when a risk is taken in gambling, I believe most of the gambler's feelings are the same. And it's always challenging when we gamble under pressure. But we can manage the risk if we set a limit, a clear budget, and a clear understanding of the odds.
As an experienced gambler who has been gambling for many years, I can authoritatively tell anyone who wants to gamble not to do that when he's under any form of pressure or tension. When a gambler is under tension, he's very unlikely to make wise decision that'll see him win his stakes thereby makes him to lose more than he would when he's not under any tension.

So whenever a gambler is under any form of tension, the best thing to do at that moment is to quit gambling at that particular moment in other not to lose badly in his gambling engagement
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 05, 2024, 05:55:48 PM
In the first theory, Mbappe is a great player losing this player can damage the team in PSG as you said and this would be so hard for this team to find a replacement for Mbappe in PSG there is no team they want to lose a player in the level of Mbappe easily and I think PSG can't find alternative players in this team among younger players if they lose Mbappe.
But on the other hand, we can't forget what happened in Tottenham when they let Harry Kane leave the team, this team was not damaged but they even got stronger than before.
I think so too, especially now that PSG is exaggerating Mbappe's presence so much that other players are covered up even though basically a team's performance depends on the performance of all players in all lines, not just one player.
As an individual, Mbappe is quite great and I think for now he is one of the best players in the world, but for PSG I believe they would be better off losing Mbappe so they can build this team with a strong foundation and also all lines with the same quality of players so that it can lift team performance as happened to the Tottenham team.
There's every possiblity that if Kylian Mbappe leaves Paris Saint Germaine, the club will start doing better than they are currently doing without him but we must not feign ignorance to the fact that there are slim chances of Paris Saint Germaine getting better without Kylian Mbappe and that's because of the player's contribution to the team in the last seven years at the club.

No player have scored more goals for Paris Saint Germaine in the last seven years than Kylian Mbappe and no player's goals have provided more league points for the French champions in that same time duration than the France national team captain. These and many more are the reasons why Paris Saint Germaine will do anything possible to keep Kylian Mbappe at the club but unfortunately for the club, it seems like the player's mind is somewhere else and that is Real Madrid. His potential move to Real Madrid isn't guaranteed but judging by the reports, he's very likely to join Real Madrid after the end of the current season

The main problem Cristiano is having is the problem of not becoming champion in the arab league, so he need to win the trophy to become more important in that land.

And this year dont seem to be the one in wich he can be champion, at least until now with this Al hilal team in such good shape.

Without even pressuring him, Cristiano Ronaldo is one footballer that loves winning as many titles as possible and that's why his biggest aim this season as Al Nassr player is to win the Saudi Pro League title. He finished last year as the highest goalscorer in world football and is currently topping the chart for the top scorer of the Saudi Pro League with 20 goals and that's why I don't think personal accolades isn't his priority at the moment.

His club Al Nassr are currently trailing league leaders Al Hilal by seven points making it difficult for them to catch with the league leaders but if they can continue with their current performance and Al Hilal drops points, the there's every possiblity of seeing Al Nassr win the Saudi Pro League title this season.

I have seen this from the previous few weeks and it is clear that Tottenham's performance is improving and I believe that they have recovered now.
If Tottenham are successful in maintaining their performance like this then it is not only possible for them to get a top 4 position, but they have quite a big potential to compete again in the race for the Premier League title this season. Tottenham has the strength, they just need to maintain their consistency.
Tottenham Hotspur without doubt is now playing good football again after weeks of poor results that saw them lose their place as the league leaders of the English Premier League table and I think they have all it takes to continue their current performance. They have a good chance of returning back to the top four of the league table but I think it'll be almost impossible for them to return at the submit of the league standings once again or probably win the title at the end of the season.

The top four clubs in the English Premier League table knows that the first half of the league is over and that means that every point is now very crucial for their quests to remain at the top of the league title.so they'll not do anything that'll see them lose their current spot. Tottenham can still break into the top four if they continue with their current form but I think the battle for the English Premier League title this season will be between, Liverpool and Manchester City

Since İlkay Gundogan arrived in Barcelona from Manchester City he has been useful for Barcelona and also helped Barcelona to win matches. I wonder why Pep Guardiola could allow a player like İlkay Gundogan to leave Manchester City. Barcelona's win yesterday against Las Palmas has put them back in the La Liga title race.
Ilkay Gundogan without doubt is a great player who on many occasions has provided the moments that changed the whole atmosphere of games he's involved in and last night's stoppage time goal to deny Las Palmas a point in their own home ground while handing his Barcelona side the all three points of the game has once again proven how good of a player the former German international is and can be.

At halftime, Las Palmas were still leading in the game and looked like a team who would fight to finish to grab all three points from the game but Ferran Torres scored in the 55th minute to give Barcelona a chance before Gundogan scored in the  dying minutes to complete the come back. Like you said, that win brings Barcelona back in track to keep competing for the Spanish La Liga title

I keep asking Juventus board to give Massimiliano Allegri more time, things will run smoothly in Turin in couples months, he's a genius and have good credits when it comes to managing the team. I'm now starting to enjoy Juventus matches because they've been able to tighten their stellar performance to become consistent and not volatile as previous. Juventus humiliates Sportiva Salernitana with 6-1 and eliminated them from Coppa Italia competition. Juventus will face Sportiva Salernitana again this weekend, we expects the previous scores and poor performance from Salernitana not to repeat itself.
After over three seasons of inconsistency, Juventus seems to have found the best rhythm and playing pattern that has now made them one of the best and most consistent Italian team thanks to their manager Massimiliano Allegri's new tactical approach. They're now playing entertaining games and I'm pretty sure that the club's fans and management is enjoying every bit of their current impressive run.

Yesterday, the Old Ladies convincingly defeated Salernitana by 6 goals to one in the Coppa Italia despite not playing the game with their regular first VI and that I think goes a long way tell how significantly improved the are at the moment. I'm sure the club's main concern this season isn't the Coppa Italia but winning and also succeed to win the Italian Serie A title wouldn't be a bad idea
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 05, 2024, 04:33:31 PM
It seems the negotiations between Olivier Giroud and AC Milan were not successful and they are about to lose their player because he is not going to accept the AC Milan offer to extend his contract for a longer, maybe because of financial issues.
Olivier Giroud is now about to leave AC Milan for another team and it seems this player is also linked to MLS teams.
Recently many players they joined Inter Maimi and now Olivier Giroud is about to join this league.

I think it's time because Olivier Giroud is 37 years old and of course his quality will decline.
In football, age is very influential and AC MIlan should look for a suitable replacement in midfield because it is impossible for them to continue to rely on an old player like Olivier Giroud.

MLS and the Saudi Arabian league are currently destinations for players who are no longer young and are no longer able to compete in competitive leagues in Europe, and with the quality of Olivier Giroud still remaining, I'm sure many teams from MLS or Saudi Arabia are still interested to bring it in.
I started watching Olivier Giroud from his days at Arsenal before he went to Chelsea and now playing for AC Milan and all I can say about the France international is that he's won every trophy a player is expected to win and if he decides to leave Europe at this moment, then I don't think it'll be bad move. I don't expect AC Milan to continue to pay huge wages to a player of Olivier Giroud's age and I believe the reason behind the two parties failure to reach an agreement will definitely have to do with the financial offers from the club.

Moving to Saudi Arabia at this time of his career wouldn't be a bad idea for the France national team record scorer. We're in the second half of the season and that means that he'll be free to move out from San Siro in the next five months. I'll be looking forward to see where he'll be heading next.
1235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 04, 2024, 09:18:03 PM
Barca conceded the goal way too early. I was expecting them to concede a goal though, El-Haddadi was an ex-Barca player and he's a quality forward. Now Barca need to score at least 2 goals and win the match because the point gap is too much already. Lewandowski can't get balls he wanted, it's not like last season. Xavi should find a way to use Lewa more effectively. There's not much expectation for Raphinha and Torres. Maybe this time Lamine Yamal should join the game earlier, as things are not going well on the attack side for Barca.
Before the start of the game, I predicted that it'll be a difficult match for the two clubs especially the away team and just like I predicted, Barcelona is having a very difficult night at Las Palmas tonight. Las Palmas is playing well especially in the defense where they've been able to stop Barcelona's attacking line to penetrate and score in the game.
I predicted that three or more goals will be scored in the game but considering what I'm currently seeing on my screen, I think there's even a possibility of the game finishing with the current scoreline. We are in the second half of the season and almost every club in the Spanish La Liga campaign are trying to significantly improve their performance in other to finish the season on a very good note.

Most people find it difficult to bet on Chelsea to win or draw because of Chelsea's poor performance this season. But Chelsea has started to gain a little consistency of late, Chelsea has won 2 of the last matches in the premier league.
After spending a whole lot of money to sign world class players in the summer, Chelsea are surprisingly underperforming this season as the English Premier League club are no where around the top six clubs in the English Premier League table. Their consistent inconsistency has made it very difficult for people to predict their games as the Stamford Bridge club have on many occasions lost games they were expected to win convincingly.

The club manager Mauricio Pochentino is one coach that is very good in his managerial abilities but haven't lived up to expectations this season as many had thought his presence at Chelsea is gonna significantly improve the club's performance.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 04, 2024, 08:06:22 PM
Las Palmas vs Barca today, this match will be not easy for Barca.
Las Palmas only lost once from their last 8 home games and no team has ever scored twice yet in the Las Palmas home during this season.
They are 10th in the league, and that is good enough considering they were playing on the Segunda division last year.
Under 3 sounds good?

The problem with this fixture is that we've not watched both teams play this year, Barcelona especially.
Barcelona has the more difficult prediction because we still don't know if Vitor Roque who is their new signing will play. What Barcelona lacked is scoring goals despite the huge amount of chances they create, but with Vitor Roque that could be a thing of the past. Lewandoski has not been really convincing upfront so with Vitor Roque he should have a worthy competition and that should make him sit up if he still has it in him.

If this is still last year Barcelona then under 3.5 sounds good, but if this is the free-scoring Barcelona we used to know then it would be a very big risk and a risk I don't think is worth the reward.

In less than 30 minutes from now, Barcelona will kick off their game against Las Palmas and playing as the away team, it'll be very difficult game for the reigning champions of Span. Las Palmas as we all know have been very impressive with their performances at home this season especially in the league and as the 10th placed team in the league table, they'll definitely want to win the game to further increase their chances of finishing in the top six of the league table at the end of the season. Barcelona is undoubtedly one of the strongest teams in the Spanish La Liga so I expect them to go for nothing but a win as well and that's why I think a minimum of three goals will be scored in that game tonight.

The game between Seville vs Athletic Bilbao is already in the stoppage time and the away side are currently leading by two goals to nil. Seville have been extremely poor this season and looks set to lose another three points tonight to Bilbao.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 04, 2024, 07:27:43 PM
The probable matchup between Leipzig and Real Madrid would be like this: Leipzig show a strong level of performance in Germany and both teams score. Maybe a draw for Leipzig here also. However in Spain Real Madrid show their quality at the highest level and finish off Leipzig by a decent score.  Smiley  I wouldn't be surprised with such scenario.

Because Leipzig aren't a team that just give up easily at least home. You must remember how impressive they were against Manchester City at Etihad previously.

But Leipzig's job is very difficult anyway against the king of the Champions League now.  Sad
In recent years, Leipzig has delivered shocking results in the UEFA champions league competition especially against bigger teams or supposed European giants and would also want to shock Real Madrid in the round of 16 tie which will start next month but considering the performance of both sides since the start of the season, I think Real Madrid will not have big issues to win that particular tie and progress to the next round of the competition.

Real Madrid who is being managed by Carlo Ancelotti are currently on a very impressive run and are one of the two teams that was able to win all their matches in the group stage of the competition. Facing a Leipzig will without doubt be a competitive two-legged tie but I expect the Spanish giants to convincingly conquer their German opponents in that particular encounter

I feel like it's basically obvious that Arsenal is gone, they are not going to win the title. Don't get me wrong, they are still quite close to the top, and it could still happen, but I really do not think that they will overturn anything. They have lost two very crucial games that they needed to make six points, if they did, they would be 46 points, leader of the league, and also just one point ahead of Liverpool but four points ahead of third Aston Villa, so that would put some distance.

Also, not a lot of people talk about this, but Aston Villa, a team nobody saw coming all year long, is second with just three points difference from the leader. If Liverpool loses one game and Aston Villa wins, they are tied for leadership. I honestly did not see that coming.
Arsenal have been able to garner 40 points in their first 20 league games of the season and are just five points behind league leaders Liverpool who also have played the same number of games with Arsenal. A lot of people are of the opinion that the gunners are still very much in contention for the league title and that opinion I think is very much valid as there are more 17 league games to play.

That being said, I think it'll be a very difficult task for Arsenal to make that comeback and return at the top of the league table. The league leaders Liverpool are currently in the form of their lives and would do anything possible to remain their while reigning English Premier League champions Manchester City are also doing their best to fight back to the top and considering the fact that these two teams are better than Arsenal, it'll be very difficult for Arsenal to overtake them and move to the top of the league.
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 04, 2024, 07:09:12 PM
Juventus has greater ability when it only focuses on one competition and this condition is actually very dangerous for Inter Milan because if they experience one defeat, Juventus will definitely take over first place in the points table, while in the upcoming match Juventus will compete against a weak club like Salernitana.
Yeah I doubt if Inter Milan will last more longer on the first position of the league table because Juventus is on a serious move to acquire the first position so if Inter Milan should mistakenly lose any match it will bring Juventus right to the first position and if they manages to enter there they  will never allow any club to pull them down so they will make sure they putting more efforts to win all there matches, although I really commend on Inter Milan because they really perform so well on this season and if I'm not mistaken I believe they have been on this first position for a while now and checking there statistics this season they have actually gotten a good record, so perhaps even if they are not able to win the league but they will surely come out as the top two or top three of the league.
As the Italian Serie A fixtures draws nearer to the end of the campaign, the battle for who finishes as the top team in the Italian Serie A becomes tougher than it was in the beginning of the season and a whole lot of people are already of the opinion that it's gonna be a two horse race between league leaders Inter Milan and second placed Juventus.

Unlike second placed Juventus who are not playing in Europe this season, Inter Milan are playing in the UEFA champions league competition and that's why a lot of people are of the opinion that it's gonna be an advantage to Juventus who are only concentrating  in domestic games. In 2010, Inter Milan were able to win the treble and I'm optimistic that they can still win the Italian Serie A and still do well in Europe.
