1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: December 31, 2023, 06:55:12 PM
In as much as there are people who are good with their gambling strategies and are good in predicting the outcome of matches before they're played, I don't think that there's any gambling expert who knows it all and can be 100% correct with their gambling predictions. I respect gambling experts and their ability to predict games but what I don't is to believe that anything that comes from them is guaranteed as there's no guarantee in gambling prediction.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: December 31, 2023, 06:48:36 PM
Different neighborhoods does have different perceptions about and how they judge gamblers. I've been to different neighborhoods with gambling stores and I can categorically say that their views about gambling differs. To some neighborhood, they see anyone that wants to gamble as someone who isn't responsible and shouldn't be associated with while to other neighborhoods especially the developed areas, they see gambling as a normal activity that any adult can engage themselves in. So as a gambler, whenever you find yourself in a new environment, try and know their own perception about gambling as that will help you to know how to engage in your activities.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 31, 2023, 06:42:56 PM
Back to back defeats for Arsenal (against West Ham and now Fulham), and that leaves them in 4th position as the year comes to an end, Arsenal are in a pretty sticky patch right now and they are winless in their last three EPL games, i know some people people might cry that it is a crisis, but i don't think it is, Arsenal are just 2 points off the summit, so for now nothing has changed as regards their title charge. The problem Arsenal has is that City are unstoppable when we get to the title run-in, City can go on long winning runs, and this is why i think both Liverpool and Arsenal won't win the title, but City will.
Arsenal team and fans should cry and feel sorry for themselves for losing 2 matches in the last weeks of the year. Losing to Fulham is another big blow that happened to them in a short time as they verge on this season's trophy.
Before you put it that Arsenal is 2 points off the premier league latter, don't forget that  Liverpool haven't played their 20th match and they are 2 points above Arsenal. Imagine if they win their 20th match against Newcastle, what the points gap will be? Your guess will be the same as mine. On the same note, Manchester City still has their 20th match to play also. If they win theirs, the top Arsenal with 3 points. I hope I won't sound weird if I say that Arsenal should miss another year of not lifting the Premier League trophy as expected of them.
Before their last two league matches, I was of the opinion that Arsenal will be a better contender for the English Premier League title than they were last season. Last season, they were close to winning the title that's eluded them since 2004 but were beaten to title by Manchester in the last few matchweeks of the season. After they started the season on a very good note, I thought they were gonna eventually win it but with their poor performance in the last two league games, that mindset have changed as now don't think they'll finish the season in the top two.

Mikel Arteta have been doing exceptionally well with Arsenal but the earlier he starts to win important trophies for the club the better for him
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 31, 2023, 08:14:02 AM
There were some surprise results in the last premier league matches of the year.Chelsea managed to defeat Luton Town 3-2 away.It was an advantage for Chelsea to close the first half ahead with 2 goals in the first half.Cole Palmer finished the match with 2 goals and 1 assist.Palmer was the one who won the point for Chelsea in the match.Chelsea got an important win in a match where Luton Town had as many positions.
Aston Villa won 3-2 against Burnley and closed the last match of the year with 3 points.Aston Villa won at home against Burnley with a dominant football against Burnley, Aston Villa played a better game than their opponent and deserved to win.If Burnley had not been down to 10 men, maybe we could have seen a different result because they managed to bring the situation to a draw despite being down to 10 men.Aston Villa lost the match with a penalty in the last minutes.
The early kickoff game between Chelsea and Luton Town yesterday was epic and entertaining especially to neutrals as the club's five goals were scored in that encounter but it was also raised some worrying issues about Chelsea and how vulnerable their defense have been since the start of the season and in most times have caused them defeats. In game they first went three goals up, Chelsea still had to struggle in the closing minutes to grab all three points from the game.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochentino really has a lot of work to do if he truly wants to make things work again. The team's defense is too porous and must be worked on
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Single or accumulation, which one do you prefer when it comes to sport betting on: December 31, 2023, 06:40:40 AM
I just wish to see people view about single bet and accumulated bet. Which one do you till can be profitable when it comes to gambling. Although I normally do the two but in most cases I prefer accumulated bet to single bet.
Single bet is for those who prefer safety and multi bet is for those who like risk because the risk is proportional to the results that will be obtained if it is correct. Every bettor has different preferences and we will not always be able to find an interesting bet to include in multi, so single bets should still be made and multi bets should be made when we see a chance of winning, and currently I prefer single bets and sometimes use the bet builder feature.
Another thing about choice of betting between single bet and accumulated bet is that in single betting, the bettor will focus solely on one game and learn about the outcome which sometimes makes him very nervous. For instance, if in his single betting he predicted the both teams to score, he's very likely to watch the game while hoping that at the end of the day the two teams are gonna score so if there's any attacking play by any of the teams, he'll be nervously limping for a goal which sometimes wouldn't even be converted.

But when a bettor stakes on accumulated games, there are options in the game that he's very likely to forget during time games and might not even worry himself till the end of the whole games in his slip before checking if he won or not. So when a bettor is not good in managing nervity, accumulated betting I think should be preferred.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: December 30, 2023, 11:55:27 PM
Over the time, I’ve seen several post, by users here who, claim that gambling is strictly for fun, even when one is making losses and I’ve paused to ask this question “Is there actually any fun in gambling especially when the losses are more than the winnings?”
Let’s be frank, there are several other things one can do for fun aside gambling and I understand that life it’s own is a risk but seeing claims that people see gambling as fun even when making losses is weird and I think it’s worth discussion as to know if truly people gamble strictly for fun without minding if they’re losing or winning
In whatsoever we do in life for there to be a balance there should be some iota of the good part and the iota of the bad part of it. In gambling it is either you are winning or you are losing. There is no way a gambler will keep winning and winning without losing at some points. And there is also nowhere a gambler I will keep losing and losing without winning. No matter how we claim that we gamble for fun if we continue to lose without winning you will get frustrated and begin to chase losses. To strike the balance we need to lose and also win to make gambling the fun it is supposed to be.

Generally, the perception of gambling being for fun is based on the financial strength of the gambler. A very rich gambler who does not depend on the returns from gambling to earn a living could comfortably see gambling as fun even if their losses are greater than winnings. But a poor man who does not have enough for himself and continue to lose in gambling even if their initial intention was to see gambling as fun, the excessive losses will automatically make the feeling of fun to go away from him. The spirit of frustration take over him either to continue chasing his losses and become addicted or to quit gambling.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 30, 2023, 11:50:40 PM
I was assuming Vitor Roque was going to join by next summer just as Endrick will at Real Madrid. Roque is only 18 years old now. But he seems like a talented centre-forward for now. The number of goals he has scored so far is really impressive considering his young age. Barcelona signed him for only 40 million euros which could be a very profitable deal.

It is all up to Roque's adaptation level. If he does well with European football then Barcelona can benefit from his finishing skills and help him improve himself much more in the meantime.
I think signing victor Roque is a very good and profitable deal for Barcelona this season as  he's going to serve in a very sensitive position which was vital and very much needed for Barcelona so it was a good deal for Barcelona as they did had a fair deal considering their current financial state which has in a way limited some of the actions the te would want to take.

Lewandoski is no doubt becoming aged and not in the best form to future I'm Barcelona game sand deliver the desired results of him, because the factor of his constraints is such that he can really fight as it's from nature itself which makes it quiet peculiar in his case. So just like you rightly stated, in the mean time victor will not be playing but will be watching around well enough to observe and get used to Barcelona style and patterns of playing then as soon as he starts he would have already gotten used to his new team and would play well enough to fit in the team when he starts playing with them.

Lewandowski is a difficult topic for Barcelona right now as on the one hand I think they wish he could perform outstandingly for maybe one or two seasons more until they really have a world class striker to substitute him. On the other hand the ties are getting loser between the player and the club as there have also been first arguments between Xavi and him and I think if Lewandowski doesn't score a lot of goals in the next few weeks, these cracks in their relationship will only get deeper and everything will get worse. I don't think they have a bright future together.
The signing of Victor Roque of you ask me is a very good idea and a great deal for Barcelona considering their current options in the striking role at the club. Robert Lewandowski who's playing in his second season at the club was instrumental to the club's Spanish La Liga triumph last season but since the start of the season, he hasn't been as effective as he was in his first season at the club.

Lewandowski has suffered injuries in recent months that's limited his playing time at the club and considering his current age, it's obvious that he can't be productive as he used to be and that's it's a good move to sign a young striker who can learn from him in the second half of the season and replace him when he eventually leaves the club next summer
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 30, 2023, 11:44:21 PM
I think they need to stop expecting immediate success and put the system in place. PSG has a strong economic situation. Their presidents are investing heavily in the club financially. Therefore, it would be more logical and long-term to be systematic rather than acting hastily.
It makes sense to organize things systematically in the long term, especially if it is supported by enormous economic power to be used by a team like PSG. Because it is also often seen clearly in every season that PSG has a pretty good drive so they don't need to do anything in such a hurry, especially in Ligue1 there is no team that is able to match PSG in every season so PSG looks like they are not competing in Ligue1, but will pay more attention to other competitions so that they can win even though PSG also often wins in Ligue1 because most of the teams here are teams that do not exceed PSG's strength.
One of the main problems of Paris Saint Germaine since the their current owners took over the management of the club is that they spend all the huge money to buy big players and expect an immediate success and that has been working for them in the league but not in the UEFA champions league competition and if they really want to succeed in the UEFA champions league, they'll have to learn how to be patient with the process and build a team that'll end up winning club football's biggest trophy for the club.

If they can start doing a long-term plan at the club, I think they'll have more chances of winning the UEFA champions league than what they're current short term strategy.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: December 30, 2023, 11:37:58 PM
The match between Feyenoord and Roma will be like a rematch of the matches played last year. Last year, Feyenoord won the first match in the Netherlands, and in the rematch, Roma played magnificently and passed the round. It is certain that there will be a tough struggle again during this period. Let's see if the team that smiles this time will be Feyenoord or Rome again.
The match for Feyenoord vs Roma in the Europa League match in the Knockout round is still quite long so it is still quite difficult to make predictions about which team will smile again after the match is over. Because Roma this season is not too bad and each of them will certainly make important changes before entering February or before the match starts so that their match could be tough and fierce because both of them will both win.
Just this evening, Roma lost their Italian Serie A game against Juventus to further reduce their chances of finishing in the top four of the Italian league at the end of of the season. But one thing about their performance in that game is that they had a good performance in that game but couldn't create and convert goalscoring chances in the game.

Against Feyenoord, Jose Mourinho knows that losing that two-legged tie means his team is gonna be eliminated from the competition and therefore will introduce his best tactical approach to make sure his team reaches the next round of the knockout stage. Feyenoord will definitely not want to sit and watch Roma eliminate them from the competition, and will surely want to give their best in the game. But I still believe that Roma have a better chances of progressing at the expense of Feyenoord
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: December 30, 2023, 11:29:35 PM
There are reasons why many are still playing despite of their losses and it's hard to tell the main reason for it aside from their emotionally attachment to gambling. Many are chasing their losses while some are just trying to have fun and didn't care if they will lose the money or not. The house will always win here and this is the reality, now if you can't stop yourself from gambling then at least have a good self-control and be more responsible as a gambler.

Correct, we can't figure what's the true reason behind that kind of action from them, since every gambler has a different goals when doing gambling. It's not that easy to stop yourself doing gambling most especially if you're in worst state of being addicted, because no matter what you do, it might harm you even more, when it comes to emotional health, it would be better if there were advice to be obtained from health professionals, they know better the correct process of how a person can escape addiction.
The best way to go about gambling is to gamble moderately. If a gambler is actually gambling for fun if they continue to lose at a time that gambler will have to be examine their selves and refrain from gambling. But an addicted gambler will never have the time to re-examine their gambling habits. Addiction is like religion that people hardly give up on, if they understand that such religion is faulty but since they are used to it and do not know other ways to go they will continue in such religion. What happens in gambling when someone feels that the only place that they get fun from is gambling so if they stop gambling where is will they have fun.

The two set of people that continue to gamble even when they are losing are;
1. Addicts
2. People who sincerely gamble for fun
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 30, 2023, 11:22:42 PM
At the break of the new year season, Leverkusen managed to become number 1. It seems that they are the main competitor of Bayern Munich for the championship. The league is off and resumes in 2 weeks. I read a rumor in the Indonesian media that Arsenal wants to buy a Munich defender. Arsenal want De Ligt to add strength to the defense. De Ligt was a regular choice last season and is starting to get left out.
Tuchell prefers Kim paired with Upamecano. This season he has started many games from the reserves. At 24 years old De Ligt is a potentially strong defender. Long-term progress is certainly an interesting option. But I'm not sure Munich will let him go. He is the best asset with his age and current condition.

It is a shame that De Ligt rarely gets the trust of the Munich coach, even though De Ligt's game determination is quite capable at domestic league and Champions League level.
He was played more in the second half by Tuchell. I think Arsenal will compete with Real Madrid to get De Ligt's services, considering that Madrid is currently being hit by a storm of center back players.
Sometimes, I don't think it's as a result of a players inability to play good football when he's called upon to represent his club that makes his club manager to bench them. I think it's something that has to do with the manager's preference for players in a certain position. Matthijs de Ligt is one defender that's capable of making it to the starting VI of any team in the world but it seems his kind of football is not preferred by his club manager Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel probably doesn't fancy the Dutchman because is the player's style of defending. However, there are rumors that Real Madrid and Arsenal are seriously in contention to sign him away from Bayern Munich and I hope he finally leaves in the January transfer window to a club he'll get more playing time so he can be fit to participate for his country in next summer's UEFA Euros tournament
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: December 30, 2023, 11:15:36 PM
Al Nassr has been playing well ever since they lost to Al Hilal, they don’t seem to be slowing down even though they are points away from Al Hilal they still don’t want to give up just yet. Ronaldo didn’t fail to add up to his goal tally as expected even though it came late, this shows how reliable they can be. Al Nassr has little hope of winning the title because Al Hilal’s form is even better than Al Nassr and they don’t seem like a team that will drop points soon and if they keep winning Al Nassr will have no chance of winning the title.
Al Nassr lost the last game against A-Hilal, if that hadnt happened, the battle for the championship would be wide open. Now they have to chase it and I dont think they be able to do that. There are 15 games left and 7 points to catch up, it is possible but i dont think they made it. Ronaldo will want to playing, the European Championship in 2024 is coming up in a few months and then a WorldCup 2 years later... maybe he play there too. So Ronaldo and Al-Nassr will probably have one/two more season to win it.
Even before they lost to Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro league, last month Al Nassr have been on a good run of form in the  Saudi league but but their only problem is that Al Hilal have been more consistent than them. After the completion of 19 league games in the league, Al Hilal are yet to suffer a defeat I'm the Saudi league while their rivals Al Nassr have already lost three games after playing the same number of league games.
Despite Al Nassr failure to be at the top of the league table, their star player cristiano Ronaldo hasn't failed to be at the top of the league scoring chart as he's been able to record 20 league goals.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: December 30, 2023, 11:08:23 PM
Sometimes people are always addicted to playing gambling online and this has made them loss alot of funds, due to always topping up theire casino account with there debit card when they loose. and this usually makes them exhaust all there funds.

While those people playing offline in casino halls play with only the little money they have at hand, and that will reduce the risk of over spending. So now my question is this

Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?
Both gambling ng online and gambling offline has their different level of risk. I cannot emphatically say which is better among the two, but I can state the obvious difference between them which will enable you to draw a conclusion according to how it affects you. When you talk about gambling online there is a very much likely hood that you will lose much amount of money because no one will know about your gambling habit unless you inform them about your gambling habit. If you are someone that is so emotionally strong you could lose thousands of dollars and still keep it to yourself and be dying slowly.

In the other hand someone who gambles offline will always get some advice from people when they are going extreme. One of the disadvantages of offline gambling is that the pressure of peer groups could make you gamble above your budget and again, whenever you have a big win your friends will also want to share from it which might not happen when you gamble online because they would not know when you win.

This is good news, Ancelotti is a coach who is extraordinarily competent to train a team like Madrid (He was successful in making Benzema and Vini Junior what they are today) he has a good strategy and also knows how to place players in their positions and the most important thing is that he is very appreciated and respected by the Madrid squad, this is very important because a coach who is hated will only damage the squad's performance.
Even though currently Madrid is at the top of the standings again, they seemed to be struggling against Alaves, even Madrid scored one goal in the 92nd minute. Girona also still has great potential to reclaim the top position, they have never lost so far.

Yes this is great news as it would be a big loss if he left the football stages once and for all one day. I think it would have been interesting to see him take responsibility of the national team of Brazil, but now that he decided to stay with Real Madrid I think it is more beneficial. He also can't let go as it seems. If you have the best job in the world in football and then you become older, I think it is also hard to let go.
Real Madrid management gave the fans the best Christmas gift by extending extending the contract of Carlo Ancelotti at the club to the summer of 2026. The Italian manager have been very instrumental to the club's success in recent years as he has used his managerial experience to bring solutions to some of the tactical issues at the club.
After Karim Benzema left the club last summer, the club was without a recognized striker and that raised concerns about Carlo Ancelotti's ability to manage a Madrid team without a striker but he's been able to efficiently manage the team by converting Jude Bellingham who was known as a central midfielder at Borussia Dortmund to become a false 9 and that decision has worked well for the club

I can't imagine that Ten Haag still has a great future at Manchester. Even after the defeat against Nottingham it became clear that the team has a lot of problems and that it is not developing at all. Ten Haag had some time in which the team's underperformance was not so noticeable because the focus was on the club's change of ownership. Now that this has been completed, for me it is only a matter of time before the new owners look for a new coach who can further develop the team. It's a shame to see this performance from a world club like ManU.
I don't want to underestimate Nottingham, but Manchester United should not lose to teams with much lower squad quality than themselves. This should be the last season with Eric Tan Hag unless there is a departure sooner. It's a real shame that Manchester United are mentioned like this. They are one of the most well-known clubs in the world. Nottingham Forest only got to the goal three times and they clearly scored two goals.
It's surprising to see Manchester United losing to teams with lesser quality of players but even more surprising that the clubs manager Erik ten Hag is still keeping his place at the club despite all the poor results that is supposed to warrant a sack from the club's management. Considering the quality of players in Manchester United, the club is supposed to have a better performance and in a better position than they are currently.

In the UEFA champions league competition, the club finished bottom of a group that's consists of Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and Copenhagen and now, they're still struggling against teams like Nottingham Forest in the league. The earlier Erik ten Hag is sacked the better for the club's management

I just wish to see people view about single bet and accumulated bet. Which one do you till can be profitable when it comes to gambling. Although I normally do the two but in most cases I prefer accumulated bet to single bet.
I think the choice of sports betting between single and accumulated betting depends on the kind of betting a gambler wants stake on. For instance, if he's trying to stake a huge sum of money in betting, single betting is the best option because it's less likely to lose in single betting than accumulated betting but if the same person is trying to stake little amounts, then it's advisable he chooses accumulated betting.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: December 30, 2023, 10:14:23 PM
A gambling is luck in which everyone have seen it, and I believe that gambling is something I know from my own understanding and my own views that with gambling your story can change from worst to good, because being successful with gambling is base on luck so gambling is something that the successful is not measurable and it do take unware and I believe that nobody hope on gambling totally because is something that we all know that it can take whatever we have suffered for years in one minute depending the kind of gambling we partake on
Your opinion is absolutely valid. Gambling like you said is about how lucky a gambler can be and not necessarily how strategic or experienced he is in the game of gambling and that's why it's not advisable for one to want to make a successful career in gambling because the person might not be lucky enough to succeed in it.

Gambling is best practiced when someone is engaging in it as fun and not as a career and that's why majority of people who wants to see it as their own source of living, end up as gambling addicts
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 30, 2023, 10:04:15 PM
The match is almost over and Juventus is still ahead 0 - 1. It looks like the conditions will not change. Even if there is only 1 goal, at least Juventus will get full points.

on the other hand, Milan was also successful in this match and won over Sassuolo 1 - 0. Currently the competition in Serie A is quite significant so of course every team must be able to optimally win in every match.
Juventus might not be playing the best kind of football, but one thing that's sure is the fact that they've been able to get wins in matches they weren't playing entertaining football. The club isn't playing in Europe and are very focused in the Italian Serie A as well as any other domestic games. Roma was a worthy opponent as they tried to savage a point from the game but Juventus made sure that Adrien Rabiot 27th goal was enough to help them grab all three points from the game.

Roma will be disappointed with the result especially the club's manager Jose Mourinho who did everything possible to change the result of the game especially with his substitutions. I don't think it's a bad result for Roma despite losing the game as they played like a team who really wanted a result
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 30, 2023, 09:50:19 PM
Manchester united inconsistency is obvious because it's hardly for them to win matches consecutively just look at their awesome performance against a consistent side like Aston Villa during the mid-week and for them to lose to Nottingham Forest is really very degrading. Maybe their match should be predicted like if they win a match then their next match will be against them or they draw because that's exactly what is happening to them. It's really a bad one for them to end the year with a loss but hopefully they may do more better next Year.
Expecting a lot from Manchester United while their playing strategy is still not consistent is wrong. What I mean is this, Erik ten Hag in Manchester United's 19 matches in the Premier League this season really understands the weak points that exist when Manchester United plays, but in reality he completely ignores and allows it to continue to happen.
If in the last match Manchester United beat Aston Villa with an emotional comeback, against Nottingham it should be easier for them to win.

The selfishness of Manchester United players is almost the same as Erik ten Hag's character. I say they all want to present themselves as the best when played by ten Hag.
Even though Manchester United can close the final match of this year with a win and have the opportunity to improve their position in the standings.
Considering how inconsistent Manchester United have been since the start of the season, I don't think the manager Erik ten Hag in any way have a clue of what best to do in other to restore the club and bring the club back to winning ways. Yesterday, I was able to see an analysis of how inconsistent the club has been since the start of the season and all I can say is that the club is heading no where with the current manager.

Playing against a team like Nottingham Forest, Manchester United played like a team who were playing against a top club in Europe as they struggled to get a win in that game. If the club management truly wants to see a rise in the club's performance, they must sack the current manager and hire a better one

We have five matches today:

Luton Town vs Chelsea, Chelsea to win @1.55

Aston Villa vs Burnley, draw @5.00

Crystal Palace vs Brentford, draw @3.30

Manchester City vs Sheffield United, both teams to score - no @2.63

You know that Chelsea are not yet stable in their performance in this season, and they are playing in the home of Luton Town which it will be difficult for Chelsea to defeat Luton Town in their home but Chelsea will score goals in this match but it will end up in the favour of Luton Town. If you look at the position Aston villa are now, it show that they will use that influence to dominate in this match to ensure they use home strategies to defeat Burnley 3-1 to embrace the three points from the match. There will be goals from both teams in this match but Manchester city will be the team that will win Sheffield united 3-2 to improve their points and position.
Chelsea's inconsistent performance in the English Premier League this season has made it very difficult to predict their games even when they're a supposed  smaller team. Luton can not be matched with Chelsea when it comes to football strength and quality of players in the two clubs  but because  of the surprising defeats Chelsea have suffered in the hands of smaller teams this season,  I think there's every possibility of another defeat today at Luton.

Luton Town have been playing well as an average Premier league team and wouldn't want to lose today's game against Chelsea but because of Chelsea's superior attacking  talents against Luton,  I think the games is gonna produce a lot of goals.
