I get why you're mad at Ten Hag, but I don't think we should fire him just yet. Take a look at the bigger view. People like Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp didn't have great first seasons in the Premier League, but look at where they are now. It means giving the boss time to come up with a plan. Who are the most likely replacements to be available? Zidane is not likely. Guardiola is more interested in the national team than Hansi Flick. He's not going to leave City for United. We need to face the facts about what's going on. United has more problems than just the boss. It's about how the club is set up as a whole. Yes, let's see what Ten Hag can do with a full season and the chance to make moves in the summer.
The thing is, Ten Hag didn't make a new regeneration.

The new players that he sign and actively playing are Martinez, Hojlund, Mount and Antony, while the rest are old players. Both of the old and new players performance aren't good, so that's why we don't see any improvement in Manchester United.

Unlike Manchester City, the old players can still able to back up the new players e.g. Nunes, Gvardiol, and Doku.
Unlike the two managers you made mention of, this is not Erik Ten Hag's first season as a Manchester United manager. He even had a better season in his first season with Manchester United than he's currently  doing in his second season at the club. He shown that he lacks what it takes to succeed in Manchester United as a manager as he's been absolutely clueless of the best approach to improve the team's performance and bring them back to winning ways again.

I'm surprised that at this time of the season,  Erik Ten Hag is still  managing Manchester United because he doesn't deserve to be there if you ask me.  The club I think should go for another  world class manager who can significantly improve the performance 9f the team. There are lot of managers in Europe that can revive Manchester United's footballing strength but the best among the available ones at the moment I think is Zinedine Zidane who is currently without a job. His record in his two managerial reigns at Real Madrid suggests that he can perfectly return the club back to the league of Europe's elite teams if given the chance

I decided to create this topic as a tip to fellow gambler that wants to have a slightly increase chance to win on gambling.

Fella should know when to ride when you are on a win streak. You can test the water first by betting slowly until you get the tempo of winning streak then slowly increase your bet while you are still winning. Stop immediately when you encounter a lose or two because there’s a high chance that you will be tilted and chase loss until you lose everything.

Don’t increase your bet when you are losing because it will just amplify your loss immediately once you are in bad streak. Always test the water before you increase your bet.  Wink

Sharing my recent juicy win using small bankroll below! At first I’m hesitant to ride but it takes courage to increase bet slowly especially if you have small bankroll.

This pattern of OP is nice and should be generally acceptable. Even if you have not used that system before, but with way OP narrated it, you should know that is very much workable and it has worked for him. For him to create this very topic to show us this strategy means he has been winning with the strategy. Following the strategy is not difficult, the difficult thing there is being able to maintain discipline when following the system. Most things are good and easy to say but following them up are always difficult.

To be honest, we cannot beat the gambling system itself either it rans on random code or anything unless you are that lucky. I know that some of us use patterns and even study the particular casino game or use something superstitious but yeah it's really all about luck and for me winning streak is rare. It is useful to also control our emotions when gambling because when we are greedy we might end up nothing.

Yes, I agree and under with you also. It is not just trying to beat the system rather the gambler implementing the above strategy is trying to be cautious and not lose excessively. The problem one should encounter is knowing very well when they are on a lossing streak. Sometimes it doesn't just work like win, win, win to know you are in a winning streak or lose, lose, lose to know that you are in a losing streak. It sometimes happens lose, win, lose, win, lose... Making it difficult to know if you are in a lossing or winning streak.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: December 25, 2023, 07:51:09 AM
Recently I was around a physical bet shop close to my area and I observed a man who was shabbily dressed walking in the gambling house. I got into the place to observe what his intentions were. He walked straight to the gaming attendant, placed his bets in a highly coordinated manner and quietly walked out of the physical gambling house. From the way he was well organized, you will never know that he was mentally unsound apart from his dirty clothes and unkept hair and beard.

When I inquired from the attendant, she said he was a regular customer and that he usually raised money for gambling through the manual jobs he does around the area. She also told me that he has never misbehaved and acted violently in the gambling house so she was comfortable with him.

My question now is are there any moral, ethical or legal obligation to bar a person from gambling after physically observing that he is mentally unstable?

Asking the question if mentality unstable people should be allowed to gamble has different dimensions, do you mean if the government should make a law that prevents mentality unstable people from gambling or you mean that the gambling attendant should stop the mentality unstable man from gambling? In both cases it will not actually be easy especially if the mentality sick man really wants to gamble. I will try to explain the two scenarios below and see how we will examine the scenarios and make proper decisions on the topic posted.

Let's say the government enacts a law that prevents mentality sick people from gambling and yet the mentality sick person want to gamble. If they insist and gamble will the gambling attendant be arrested or the mentality sick person. If the casino attendant refuses to grant him access to gamble, he might decide to cause alot of trouble in the shop and its neighbourhood. And if the government arrest such a mentality sick person, how will they arraign him?
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 25, 2023, 07:38:16 AM
because rich clubs definitely can bring in players and coaches with good abilities. different from clubs that can only have one or two good players. Of course, it will be difficult to compete with the rich clubs who dominate the league.
but for Nice, they have shown a good improvement in the quality of their game. Even with players below PSG, they can compete and disrupt PSG's dominance in the league. it didn't last long, however PSG had strength.
Sometimes it isn't about how much of players a team was able to buy over the transfer window or how rich a team is as that is only but a factor and not all that is needed for a team to be successful, a team sometimes needs more than just their money and new players to succeed by the end of the season and to continually win matches.

Nice is a very good team and have so far done well in the Ligue 1 this season so far, at a point it did looked like they could possibly win the league title this season. They have proven that with the little players they have developing these players is what's very much important as it has helped them a lot to get to the point where they are now such that if pSG slacks ,they will definitely take over the first position on the table, definitely Nice have got a potential for the title this season but then PSG is still the best team.
Nice shaking up Ligue 1 makes me nostalgic. This is a throwback to when football wasn't all about money. It's not always about money, right? Nice proved this brilliantly. Their attitude of prioritising needs above big names is impressive. They're not blindly buying stars; they're assembling a team that suits them. It's about clever tactics and teamwork. It seems refreshing and reminds me of old school football, where team spirit and good management overcame financial muscle
Just like Girona in Spain and Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, Nice have been absolutely  in great form this season  despite not having the best of players in the french league. The quality of players in the Nice team isn't as good as that of players in the Paris Saint Germain squad but they've still managed to efficient with their performance this season. They've proven that you don't have to break the bank and sign the best players in the world for you to be able to be able to have a good impact in the league. Though they might not win the league at the end of the season because of PSG's superior performance, but I think they will surely finish the season as one of the best teams in France this season

The France league have just one main champs and PSG leads in all rounds available. Nasser Al-Khelaifi ensure everything is balance in PSG and he signed big names in the past just to ensure his side lift major trophies but they ended been eliminated by the same elite clubs. Absolutely nobody have hope on PSG on winning any major title because things keep getting rougher for them each year. When it comes to finances, Paris Saint-Germain comes first and also their stellar performance but this doesn't extend to them in other major tournaments. Achieving success is a must for PSG and they won't relent until their targets is finally achieved.
For this reason Ligue 1 is not very competitive for competition for the title because it is difficult for other teams to break PSG's dominance and there are only a few opportunities that other teams ultimately fail to maximize. PSG's ownership under Nasser Al-Khelaifi means they have a lot of money to recruit the number of players needed and I think it will be quite difficult for other teams to match the quality of players they have in competition in Ligue 1.

If we talk about competition in the Champions League, PSG is still considered a weak team because even though the club owners have a lot of money and can afford to buy any player they want, they still don't have a chance. That's why they have now recruited Lus Enrique and the management has high hopes for him so that he can bring PSG to compete in the Champions League with other teams.
It's because of the intimidating number of quality players in the PSG set up that makes them the best team in the french league and also makes it very easy for people to easily predict who wins the French Ligue 1 title at the end of the season I almost the last one decade. It'll take another club who will be extravagant in signing of quality players before they can stop PSG from winning the league or probably a miracle to stop them. However,  PSG's dominance has only  been in the French league as they're yet to win the UEFA champions league title despite the number of world class players at their disposal.  The management of the club doesn't spend all those money to just dominate the French league and the earlier they start to win the UCL,  the better for the club
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 25, 2023, 07:19:56 AM
~Snip~
Napoli performance have turned and downgraded to become one of these random mediocre performance. Since the exits of their former coach that won the the scudetto this season, the club have grown to become one the club's with flopping records in the Seria A this season. Alot of things have fallen apart but we still have hope for Napoli to bounce back stronger than expected. The present of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis makes attempts to revived the club but it's not working at the moment, he has single-handedly appointed and sack numerous coach and have become of the vital problems the club faces. Napoli will suffer this season, I'm seeing it coming their path gradually.
Luciano Spalletti was an important actor in Napoli's success last season, he managed to turn Napoli into a club that was very difficult to beat and in the end he managed to become the best in Serie A after winning the Scudetto. After Spalletti left Napoli's performance gradually declined, his replacement as coach was unable to maintain Napoli's performance as they achieved success last season.

Now Napoli is in seventh place in the standings, this position is not ideal for a team that won the Scudetto last season. If his performance continues like this, his suffering will continue in the next match. Finally, Roma managed to humiliate Napoli 2-0 and force them to drop to seventh place. It took a miracle for Napoli to be able to return to competition in the top four.
Luciano Spalletti's performance and efficiency with Napoli last season was something they've never experienced from a manager since they last won the Italian Serie A title in 1990. But what really surprised me was the fact that he left the club after a very successful season with the club as he lifted the Scudetto for the first time in over 30 years for the club.
Luciano Spalletti's departure didn't sit down well with majority of the club's fans because of how he really improved the performance of the Napoli team. Rudi Garcia was appointed to replace Spalletti but his time at Napoli was a forgettable one as he failed to continue with the great impressive performance of his predecessor which resulted to his sacking by the club's management.

However,  after the sacking of Rudi Garcia,  the club hired an Italian manager in the person of Walter Mazzarri and he somehow improved the performance of the team but unfortunately for him he couldn't help Napoli avoid a humiliating defeat at Roma last weekend. Napoli I think can still improve and do better under current boss if they are determined to do so.

1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 24, 2023, 11:55:21 PM
The news is not just about any trophy, but about at least two trophies. It turns out that Xavi is faced with a very difficult task. It is very naive to hope to win La Liga or the Champions League, which means there are two options left where Barcelona must show 100% results - the Spanish Cup and the Super Cup, by the way, the semi-finals of which will be held on January 10th. Barcelona are very lucky that their opponent will be Osasuna, but the second semi-final will be more serious: Real Madrid - Atletico Madrid.
Given their unpredictable current form, you can't even be too sure they can go past Osasuna  Grin

I don't see any way out for Barcelona at the moment. Maybe by some miracle all the injured key players heal and start playing in by January, which we know is just a fantasy. While Real Madrid are also faced with their own injury crisis, at least they can afford to go to the market and grab a couple of mercenaries, something that Barcelona can not afford right now.
Xavi Alonso has been an incredible and outstanding manager for Barcelona since he took over the managerial position at the club and was able to help them win the Spanish La Liga title last season which has raised the expectations of fans of the Catalan club. But because of the financial crisis at the club that's limited their  strength of signing top European players coupled with the fact that a lot of the club's first team players sustained various kind of injuries since the start of the season,  the performance of the club has significantly declined.

With the current  situations at Barcelona,  I don't think they have all it takes to win any major trophy this season. It's one thing to be a good manager but absolutely another thing to have the needed  quality of players at your  disposal in other to deliver a good performance.  In my own opinion, I think finishing in the top four of the Spanish La Liga this season should be a good performance for a team that had as many injury issues like Barcelona did this season.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: December 24, 2023, 11:46:22 PM
This should be one skills all newbies thinking about joining the gambling industry or already part of the industry should learn. It would take time so if you don't have it they shouldn't be gambling, they should first learn how to have self control. Some individual are born with it or been taught while they were growing up while others have to learn it as they are adults. Gambling will always frustrate you so when you don't have patience and self control you can't be successful.

Self control would make you not to chase after losses which will only make you to lose more instead of winning back the money you lost. Self control will make you not to over gamble or exceed your gambling limit in attempt to win back the money you already lost. Halving self control is one important advice I'll give to anyone that's thinking about joining the gambling industry as it'll help them to avoid losses.

Don't you also think that Greed is one thing that makes people starts chasing after lose?
Although you are right about self-control but technically I can say is Greed because anyone who doesn't apply greed we can said to have self-control. Majority of 89 percent gamblers today falls into victim of that except for those who gamble's responsibly but those that channeled their source of living to gambling will always results to revenge gambling, that is chasing lose at loosing the entire bets we can also term it to be  anxiety due to the much pressure of constantly losing their projected budgets.
One thing about newbie gamblers is that no matter how you advise them, they would still make the newbie mistakes. It also happens in trading. Every new commer will like to try out their hands in trading while neglecting all the advices given them. But once they try it themselves and make such mistakes, they will learn by experience and by then you will see them advising other newbies.

Unlike trading which requires some skills, gambling is seen as only requiring luck which is why many people join gambling randomly without knowing some certain rules. Speaking about somethings, funny enough, emotions is not something that is learnt to be controlled hurriedly. It is 70% inbuilt and whose the newcomers don't know how to control their emotions, failure is inevitable.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 24, 2023, 11:38:10 PM
Leverkusen has in my opinion a vital 4 points ahead Bayern and this points might make the difference and decide the champions of Bundesliga this season. I also feel like Leverkusen is playing the best football in Bundesliga and without Xavi Alonso none of this would have been possible.
I guess its to early and with that only 4 points ahead to say that Leverkusen will be the Champions of the German League or win the title this season.
There are so much games to play and there can be so much happen till to the end of the season.
But yes for now it looks like that way that Leverkusen have the best year ever and maybe win it , but other teams dosnt sleep.
Bayer Leverkusen for a fact are currently four points above Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga  table but let's also not forget that Bayern Munich has played one game less than than the league leaders and if Bayern Munich wins the outstanding game,  they'll just be one point  behind  league leaders. Bayern  Munich is undoubtedly the strongest  club in the German league in terms of quality and I expect them to fight for the title till the last day of the season.

Bayer Leverkusen I believe knows the quality and depth in the squad of the German champions and wouldn't  want to think that they've automatically won the the league when there's still a lot to play when the league returns from her annual break and it'll take Bayer Leverkusen to remain as consistent as they were in the first half of the league before they can finally end Bayern Munich's dominance.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you make gambling a profession - a full time job on: December 24, 2023, 11:31:27 PM

This is actually interesting, but I still don't dare take the risk of becoming a profession just as a gambler, like what happened to my friends where they really couldn't control their gambling, they became addicts and even spent a lot of their assets. If I think a little wiser than making gambling as a profession, why don't we work on a gambling website, either as an admin or own a casino company as well. it will definitely keep us safer from the risks of gambling with big money as a salary. It doesn't need to be instant, the most important thing is that our assets are safe.

The problem is not if one can work as a gambling professional and earn from it alone. Although there are people who do not care about the work they do in as much as it is legitimate and brings food to the table. But there are also people who values prestige and as such they ensure the kind of work they do is very much not only legal but also ethical.

Gambling in some countries is illegal and in some countries it is legal but not ethical. Who will be that friend who will be in the gathering of their fellow friends, why others are introducing themselves as programmers, lawyers, designers, they will introduce themselves as a professional gambler. That does not hold any prestige I mean.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 24, 2023, 11:22:44 PM
I am of the opinion that every gambling site terms of services should be summarised and put on the first page and yet encourage everyone to read to the end. If this happens I will simply read only the summary and proceed.
A summary is what you apparently wouldn’t get and you know why? They don’t want you coming here to give excuses on how it wasn’t stated clearly. That’s why, they’ve got a whole lot on it carefully crafted and updated from time to time.

For what is worth, the gambling sites have done their most in dividing the terms of service into segments. I think that has been some of the best ideas on how to follow up the bulk of terms in their service offerings.
They’ve got options for;

Withdrawals,
Deposit,
Restrictions,
How to use, etc.

It goes on. What you have yo do is yo search for those key places where you feel you can easily be affected and go over it. Read through and you would get an idea on if it is a site to keep up with or not. I do that often.

I do understand the premise of your reasoning and you are very right about it. If they put only summary, there will be cases gamblers will argue that the summary didn't capture the area they they fell victim. It is right as they always give an option to proceed only if you have agreed. So, if you have agreed, you cannot say any more that you weren't informed.

Also, the terms of services is a legal write up which is supposed to be very formal and acceptable as an official and working document. As you have stated, the best thing to do is to always check the area which is very  vital to you and ready it with alot of scrutiny.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 24, 2023, 11:12:39 PM
After receiving news regarding Man United planning to recruit a striker in January and some of the names on the list were quite strange. Maybe because the budget given is still limited, I don't think this recruitment will have much of an impact as long as the coach is Erik Ten Hag. I mean even if you recruit famous players, it is very difficult to get out of the position of Man United players who don't work together on the field. Based on the last match alone, it shows the lowest quality of Man United game.  Bruno Fernandes looks tired of seeing Rashford who is lazy about chasing the ball, Antony who usually doesn't play much  of a role in his position, so it's no wonder there are plans to swap Antony with Kubo, a Real Sociedad player and former Madrid player,  who is definitely more useful in helping sharper attacks.

I wonder who is the initiator of these potential transfers. In theory, it shouldn’t be Ten Hag, since everyone has already seen what “brilliant” transfers he makes and what their average effectiveness is. Plus, he has already spent 400 million on transfers in a season and a half and it hardly makes sense to give him the opportunity to throw money at everyone, given the fact that new (and old lol) players degrade under him (what Casemiro has become).

But taking into account the fact that he still hasn’t been fired (I wonder what he has to do to make this happen), this is not the initiative of a new potential coach or the club’s management (who generally don’t care about anything except the endless story with the sale of United). Maybe these news are just rumors and have nothing behind them.
Without taking any away from current  Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag, I think he doesn't  have the needed tactical experience to improve the performance of the team no matter the amount of quality players that are in his disposal because he's not been able to show signs of a manager who can work  with high profile players.

So if Manchester United management want to improve the performance of the team, they should  first of all relieve Ten Hag of his duties as the club manager and hire a  top European  that's experienced enough to work with big players manager before they can proceed to sign big players that'll help improve the general performance of the club.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 24, 2023, 10:52:53 PM
Arsenal are most likely to end this year at the first position. Because they are going to play a home game against West Ham next time. I don't think they would lose points in this game. I expected them to lose against Liverpool at Anfield but they still got one point at least. I think this will be a more comfortable one for Arsenal to win.

West Ham newly beat Manchester United though but there is a big difference between Arsenal and the Red Devils these days. Arsenal would probably show the difference clearly in this game.  Grin  In the same way I expect Liverpool to beat Burnley as well.
Like I've said before  in the the beginning of the season,  Arsenal are I think are gonna be a stronger contender for the English Premier League title this seasthan they were last season they've been very consistent with their results and performances in the league and if they can maintain their current  performance,  winning the English Premier League I think  is a dream that's achievable for the North London club.
For them to be able to play a scored draw against a big club like Liverpool at Anfield yesterday  tells how determined they are to finish the season better than they managed last season.

They play against  Ham in their next league  game of the season and I expect them to pick all three points from that match and probably remain at the top of the league till the end of the current season. Arsenal might not have the strongest squad in the league in terms of quality of players but they surely  have enough quality of players that can help win the English Premier League title
1373  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 24, 2023, 10:45:13 PM
Responsible gambling! is a must if you can control your emotions and control your budget you pretty much will be safe.

why you don't give another option and the other option is a futures trading.  Grin Grin But seriously tho either gambling or trading can be addicted if you cannot control the main fear and greed of people and that is emotion.
so trading without stop loss and take profit especially in derivative trading is full of fear and greed which is bad for everyone

You mentioned two important things which are;
Control of Emotions:
Someone is to gamble or trade should be able to control their emotions. You shouldn't be overly provoked to chase losses and winnings should be a bait to a woeful ending. Emotions is very strong and that is why it is said that gambling is not for everyone and also trading is not for everyone, but for people with strong emotions and people who can handle their loses and contend their winnings.
Control of Budget:
One might have very good amount of money to gamble but if they do not handle it well, it will vanish totally and someone who do not have such amount of money will even make good gambling with more than them. Control of budget and risk management is a necessary skill for gamblers.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 24, 2023, 10:37:04 PM
You know Pioli is an experienced manager who won them the Serie A after a lot of years. So he deserves another chance, right? I think he needs to be given the time to fix this squad for the season. They are in the Europa League right now out of the Champions League and they are actually looking comfortable to secure a top 3 position in the Champions League. So I would say they have nothing more to achieve this season. Pioli can be given the time to fix the team. I don't see a new manager joining and achieving more.
I think AC Milan management must act decisively to improve AC Milan performance in the second half of this season. There has been no change for AC milan in the two seasons after they won the Scudetto in the 2021/2022 season where they seemed to have great difficulty getting back into the ranks of the Scudetto-winning teams. Well, Pioli was given the opportunity in the match against Sassoulo at the end of this year where this match will be quite crucial for pioli because if he loses he will be fired. And if He wins it doesn't mean his position will be good enough because the issue of dismissal is getting more intense which is what the fans want.

Pioli failed to make AC milan stronger because in the transfer window of the past two seasons we have seen that many of the players they bought were completely unable to contribute significantly to AC Milan progress. So I might really agree if AC milan looks for a replacement for Pioli before the second half of the season starts. Conte is one of the people who is widely reported to be filling AC milan coaching chair if Pioli is fired because Conte is a coach full of experience in Serie A and it would be extraordinary if he could become AC Milan coach.
Stefano Pioli has put in so many work since he took over the managerial role at AC Milan  and that's why he deserves to be given more time to improve the performance of the team. The performance and result of the team have been poor in recent weeks which has prompted a lot of the club's fans to agitate for sack Pioli but I think it's too soon for that as the Italian manager can still  make a difference by significantly improving the performance of the team.

If for any reason  AC Milan's management decides to sack the club manager now, it'll be very difficult  to get a top quality manager in the middle of the season. AC Milan started the season on a very good note before their decline in form that's left  them out of the top four of the league and if Stefano Pioli can go back to the drawing board again, I think he has the needed tactical experience to bring the team back to winning ways
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: December 24, 2023, 10:30:20 PM

money is always the reason for many criminals to legalize the bad things they do and it's not just 1 or two people who claim to have committed crimes because of money, there are so many similar cases. Gambling addicts who do not have a steady income and income that can enable them to continue gambling will definitely lead to criminal activity and cases of extortion committed by gambling addicts are quite common.
Those who are addicted to gambling find it very difficult to think clearly. If you have relatives or neighbors who are like this then it's best to stay away from them or isolate them somewhere.

The gambling addicted person who doesn’t have any money for the game will become the criminal for the money. At this situation some people become the criminal, but not all the gamblers. Many gamblers who get addicted to the gambling will get the loan for the many games after the no money in their bank wallets. If the gamblers had the steady money from his salary,he doesn’t get into the situation of taking the loan for the game in the gambling site. Some gambling addicts will do the ransom for the money of his own brother or sister daughter, many case was filed in my country because they involve in crime for gambling play money.

Well, I have carefully read the submission of two of you above and both of your are saying the same thing but coming from different angles. Apart from gambling addiction, every other addictions have their negative effects and those negative effects are menaces to the society. Let's take drug addiction for instance, this who are addicted to drugs, can sell all their properties in order to satisfy their addiction. When such a person sells of his properties and by chance has a means to sell that of his neighbours, he will surely do it to quench his taste for drug at that particular time.

Relating this to gambling addiction, someone who do not have any stable source of income can become a criminal in order to have the money to gamble. So, this is the reason it appears that poor people are more addicted to gambling than rich people. But this is not the truth. Why the addiction of rich people is not easily noticeable is because they have the money to maintain their gambling habit why the poor man who is financially vulnerable has nothing to lay hands rather than to become a public ridicule.

Another very boring İstanbul derby that ended 0-0. The teams couldn't even make a shot this time. I don't understand why they are so afraid of each other. They think that getting 1 point is enough. Fenerbahçe doesn't even have an accurate shot. Galatasaray had only one shot on target. It would be okay if the goalkeepers didn't play. Today, the whole of Türkiye saw how empty both teams were. And they were playing to become champions and they thought they were high, but their bubble burst.
After so many talks in the build up to the Istanbul derby  between the two most consistent teams in the Turkish Super Lig,  the result and performance of both teams in the game I can say were absolutely  poor.  A lot was said before the game which attracted the attention of many fans who wanted  to see a very  good game that'll produce goals, exciting and nervous moments but were disappointed to see a goalless  draw in that match.
With that result, fenerbahçe and Galatasaray still occupy the first and second spots respectively in the Turkish league table with the same number of points but are just separated by goal difference. The fight for who wins the league  still continues and hopefully it's gonna go down to the wire.

In my country sports betting has ruined the lives of a lot of young people. Last week, a businessman committed suicide because he lost millions to sport betting particularly football. Fantasy football which is also the most addictive or the game with the highest number of gambling addicts in my country. It has ruined and destroyed lives. summary the most addictive type of completely differs from one region or country to another I have already said that sports betting he's the most participative gambling we have
Yes, I am aligning too well with your submission about the matter in discuss. OP asking which type of gambling people are addicted to more is just like asking which brand of alcoholic drink that intoxicate people the more. Approaching the question is this premix, you will understand and believe with me that different types of drinks are popular in different countries or environments. What I mean is that the particular brand that intoxicates Indians will not necessarily be the one that will intoxicate Canadians.

Relating this to gambling, the people in my country are also addicted more to sports betting, this might just be that it is the type of gambling that is widely known in the country. In some other countries, it is another type of gambling. But the best thing to do is to avoid being addicted to gambling. I read the news of someone who committed suicide because of money lost in gambling.
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: December 24, 2023, 10:08:09 PM
I think most of them do not place bets, because this can lead to the destruction of the business if you get too carried away with it. The owners know perfectly well how their business works, and if it is a profitable business, then why all this? They can also place bets and show how they play or test new games. I have been following one public gambler for a long time; he lost huge sums, but at some point he decided to open his own casino. Now he has moved to live in Portugal and is buying himself expensive cars. Despite this, he continues to place bets, because his business allows him to do this and he is very happy with his life. Still, there are very few public casino owners and we cannot know complete statistics on their bets, but it would be very interesting to take a look at this.
The op asked this question because he did not understand the power of ownership. Once you recognise the owner of something, it therefore means that the owner has the right to do whatever things he wishes to do with his possession. Asking if the owner of a casino can as well gamble in his casino. Whether or not it is ethical is just like asking if the owner of a grocery store has the right to purchase goods in his own store. The question doesn't correlate very well of course.

Where the importance should be placed is if the owner actually uses money to play or he gambles for free as the owner which we know too well will be very detrimental to the business.

For me both teams failed in Europe this year, Galatasaray throwing away a big opportunitie after the Manchester United collapse in Champions and losing up the poisition against a weak Copenhagen and Fenerbahce losing some games by a large margin against weak teams in the nordic states.

So this derby is very important for the league and for the teams to close the year.
Personally, I think Galatasaray were unlucky to be drawn in the most difficult group in this seasons UEFA champions league competition. The group F was the most difficult group of this season's UEFA champions league and was regarded as the group of death become of the quality of teams contained in the group.  Galatasaray failed to reach the knockout stages for a fact but unlike their English counterpart Manchester United who finished bottom of the group F and eliminated from the competition,  they managed to finish third and progressed to the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League.
Fenerbahçe finished as the league leaders of the group B in the UEFA Europa League and will be playing in the round of 16 of the competition so I don't think they've had a bad campaign in the Europa League so far. Hopefully,  their game tonight is gonna  produce entertaining performance for fans 9f both clubs

Looks like Erik Ten Hag may lose his job in 2024. Looking at history of Manchester United, it’s understandable that the fans cannot stand the current mediocrity at the club. Judging by the performance of United this season, ETH deserves the sack so far but perhaps  Manchester United should be more patient just the way Arsenal gave to Mikel Arterta. Klopp first 3 years at Liverpool weren’t that great either. But they have progressed to do big things at their respective clubs
What i don't think will happen is Manchester United firing Erik Ten Hag during this season, he would be allowed to finish the season as their manager, then at the end of the season the club will assess his performance and decide if he should stay or go, and if you ask me i think the decision should be that he should go. They are out of Europe, they cannot also win any competition that they are currently in, so i don't think the club is moving forward with the Dutch man as their manager.
Like I've said before now, I think Erik Ten Hag is the luckiest employee in the world at the moment because I can't remember  the last time a big club like Manchester United had this kind of bad campaign and still refuse to sack their manager. His tactical approaches to important games this season has been very poor especially his choice of substitutions which in many occasions has caused the club defeats in games they were initially leading. I think its high time the club management gets rid of Erik Ten Hag and go get a manager that's more experienced than the Dutch man.

Former Real Madrid manager  Zinedine Zidane  is currently without a club and if Manchester United can convince him to sign for them, I don't think it'll be a bad idea  for the Old Trafford club
