361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: April 28, 2023, 10:03:18 PM
I never expect to blame anyone when I have to lose, especially when I am the absolute decision maker in a bet. I very seldom have someone bet for me, and probably never in most cases. Blaming other people when they lose is something that may not make sense in many cases, but in different cases, of course, there is a reason why they deserve to be blamed. In gambling, some people blame the casino for their losses. There's a lot of weird stuff going on, sometimes it doesn't even make sense.
Agree, bro.

Who has the intention to gamble?
If we gamble with our own intention, it is funny to blame other people. Losing during gambling is our own responsibility, we don't need to blame others.

People who blame others or casinos for their losses, can't control their emotions and can face reality. These types of people must stay away from gambling, they can't understand what gambling is.
^ Definitely right.
Gambling is a personal choice and it comes with risks. It is important to take responsibility for our own actions and not blame others for our losses. Blaming others or casinos for our losses shows a lack of emotional control and an inability to face reality, it should be blaming no one. I think individuals who struggle with understanding the nature of gambling avoid it altogether. It is important to remember that gambling should be done responsibly and within one's financial means.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 28, 2023, 09:54:56 PM
Some smaller platforms might have unique games you won't see elsewhere, communities more suited for the kind of person you are. Or more personalized service.

Of course, you may pay a price with fewer options. And certainly don't go to a site just because it's small. Smaller sites may on average be more willing to scam customers.

That said, bigger platforms can get overly bureaucratic, loose touch with their roots and what not.
Hmmm, yes you are correct on some things. Yes, some of the minor gambling platforms has a high tendency to run from their investors I already encounter that thing few years ago, that's why just for me to ease my anxiety in paying I only gamble to trusted one whom has a years in the market and has a good review here in this forum, I trust all those review from everyone of you.
^I even agree with this.
This is because smaller game developers may not have the resources to develop and publish their games on larger platforms, or they may prefer to focus on developing games for niche audiences that are more likely to be found on smaller platforms. As a result, smaller platforms can offer a wider range of unique and interesting games that cannot be found on larger platforms. The reasons for this could be because they have lower development costs, less competition and the last one is access to niche audiences.
363  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 28, 2023, 09:43:37 PM
It would be better if all decisions had to be from decisions made through our own plans even though we predict or bet on AI assistance.
AI can only help provide the information we need and the rest of the decisions are up to us and don't really believe in anything the results of AI always consider will be much better.
^ Definitely right, sometimes the decision of AI has some error and it should be we cannot rely on it.
But yes, it could be your tool sometimes but don't expect it that has accurate results. Because of the fact that AI can certainly be useful in collecting and analyzing large amounts of data in a more efficient and accurate way than humans could. Lack of emotions and bias in AI can also be a benefit, as it may provide more objective and reliable information than a human could.
364  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 28, 2023, 09:24:37 PM
Gambling can be played in a variety of ways. You see, would it class as work if you are not paid in money? Does it class as a purchase if you decide to pay exchanging something? My take is that it is as long as you put there something that has value, from your own time, reputation and even intangibles... or works of art or anything. Time is money as they say.
^ Of course, even when you gamble for fun, there is still a risk involved.
You may lose money or other valuable things, such as your time or reputation if you are not careful. But gambling without money is a way to boost your knowledge of gambling. Just like what I did before, I gambled using an app poker game without using real money, my intention is to gain experience on how to play it. If you feel you gamble for experience and spend your time with that, then I disagree that not all them time you spend not jus because of money.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should wait before owning my bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 10:26:47 PM
The image seem as if you’re following signal before investing. Although this could be right some other times but it is not entirely good to trust on them.
Do you know that trading is different from investment. In investment , you can do without checking the signal but I don't think you can do that in the trading.

Usually checking of signal is applicable for the both, so are you indirectly telling us you can invest whenever the market is high is that what you mean?
This is wrong idea, during investment you need to check and study your market very well before jumping into and buy without knowing whether is about to dip or bull so during investment you must take precaution of these things as well. Check whether is the right time to buy and hold or not sometimes you may venture into market and it changes direction and turns bad on you.
^Definitely right but just be careful of using this.
As I can see, trading signals and analysis can be useful tools, they should be used carefully and as part of a broader investment strategy.
Probably these tools probably be useful in identifying opportunities for long-term investment, you need to make sure that you are using them in the right decision. Just like technical analysis can be used to identify potential trends and price movements that may affect the long-term performance of an asset, but you need to make sure that you are not making short-term trading decisions based solely on technical analysis.
366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or investment! What's your take? on: April 27, 2023, 10:09:43 PM
Investing can also be trading, depends on the timeline we’re talking about.
What you should be more focus to is to increase your knowledge about the market, and know if you can do trading or you prefer more to become a passive investors. I prefer more long term investing, but I can do trade as well though recently the market seems not in favor to my decisions and that’s why I stop trading for now.
^No, don't mix it up.
If you are in trading, go for trading, and for investing, it should be only on investing.
Because if you are in trading you think it is your investment capital, you don't know if it will make a profit or not, or it will easily wipe out your entire investment once you made a wrong decision. Separate the amount of money for trading and also for investing, because they are both different. By separating trading and investing, you can better align your strategies and objectives with the time horizon of your investments. For example, you may want to use trading to generate short-term gains while using investing to build long-term wealth. Because for me separating the two can help you manage risk and avoid making wrong decisions that could impact your long-term profit target.
367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any point to start trading with 20$? on: April 26, 2023, 10:03:13 PM
Hello everyone,

I’ve lately been trying alot of different ways to start making money but something in me tells me trading could be really fun and exciting to get into. Unfortunately I can’t afford to invest much right now so I’ve managed to invest around 20$ to get started. I’d really appreciate if you all could let me know if what i am doing is worth it or am I just wasting time?

Kind regards,
Human
^ I just wanted to know, are you in trading or that amount are purely in investing?
If that is purely investing and doing such Dollar-Cost Averaging or known as DCA, you are at a good starting point, but if you are in trading, that is wasting of time. That amount is very small to start, it could even you cannot cover the fees with that $20.
With a small amount of capital, it may be difficult to make substantial profits in cryptocurrency trading.
However, there are some strategies you can use to manage your risk and maximize your returns, such as diversifying your portfolio, using stop-loss orders, and doing thorough research on the coins you are interested in trading.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We must fight back SEC, from Ripple to Coinbase on: April 26, 2023, 09:54:39 PM
It's not even 'arguable', it's a damn well-known fact for a while now that the SEC is doing a dogshit job of actually protecting people — assuming protecting people was their intention in the first place.

The SEC is a corrupt organization that aims to achieve its own goals, mostly working with certain US senators like Elizabeth Warren.

They don't want to protect people. It's just a convenient way of explaining their actions, but the situation with SBF clearly shows they did not have the people's best interest in mind.

^ Probably and the most agency that has prone to corruption are government agencies.
But for me, if Coinbase passes all SEC requirements, then they are good. Remember that the SEC also works to prevent fraudulent and manipulative practices in the securities markets and takes enforcement actions against individuals and companies that engage in such practices. It also considers the SEC regulates securities brokers, dealers, and investment advisers to ensure that they are acting in the best interests of their clients. I am not in favor of them but I think this seems good to us that there is someone agency regulating centralized exchange to avoid abusing their clients.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: April 26, 2023, 09:27:04 PM
He started spending anyhow, sleeping in different hotels with different women - before this, he already quit his job, he bought himself an iPhone and also bought an iPhone for one hoe that was following him up and down as a girlfriend - he left our neighborhood and moved to a better place and a bigger apartment, he become arrogant and left some of his friends in times of want behind, he did all he did probably with a mindset that the winnings will keep coming, some even spread some rumor that the guy meet a witch doctor who prepared a luck charm for him, which is what gave him the confidence of quiting his job - to me, this remains a rumor, since there is no way to verify if this is true of false.
^With this attitude? As I can say, good for him. lol.
In the first place, I don't believe in witch doctors or even what black magic is, we are in a modern era and I don't think they still exist.
He made a stupid decision and nothing at all, greed and a naive attitude were on his head that lead to his path to becoming a beggar on the street which I believe was a punishment by God which I believe than the witch doctors.
However, the first story was good and nice thank you for sharing here.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 26, 2023, 09:07:36 PM
I can't do this  Grin, you will need to analyse the fighters and choose your favourite one carefully, it's a lot of work, if you really want to do this you need to ignore placing a bet right now and focus on watching matches, and carefully make your choice, many sports channels shows UFC and Boxing matches like ESPN and ShowTime, you will have to watch this shows to be able to keep up just like your relative.

Forget betting, for now, OP, you need to engage in the matches to know who is weak and who is stronger 💪 before gambling your money on any fighter, it's going to be a long road ahead.
^Definitely right, it needs more time before you will know every player in boxing and also to know their characteristics.
As of now, just observe and do some research like reading news and articles, in addition to the said above aside from ESPN, you can also choose BoxingScene and BoxingNews24 for regularly providing updates on the latest boxing news, results, and upcoming fights.
And also, join a boxing community such as online communities and forums dedicated to boxing where fans can discuss the latest news and share their opinions. Joining such communities can help you stay up-to-date on the sport and engage with other fans.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 25, 2023, 10:35:07 PM
Do you think that government should have a rule or a law for election candidates not to have a franchise in any form of gambling, in fact, there are a lot of politicians who are operators of illegal small-town lotteries this is to accumulate funds they can use for election campaigns.
Do you think that even if there is a rule about it that these sneaky corrupt politicians will not still find a way to be involved in this casino business without being in the front of it. Many politicians are not supposed to be involved in many illegal activities, but it has not stopped them. They have involved themselves indirectly and have managed to still ensure their profit somehow to enrich their pocket. The major thing for most of them is to do their thing and not get caught by the system.
^That is the point, the reason why they wanted to sit that position is because of the power not wage on it.
The issue of politicians using their position to operate gambling platforms or engage in other illegal activities for personal gain is a serious concern, particularly in countries where elections are expensive and candidates may resort to unethical practices to secure their victory. Considering the implementation of a law or rule that would prohibit election candidates from owning or operating any form of gambling franchise, legal or otherwise, to prevent conflicts of interest and potential abuses of power. This would not only ensure fairness and integrity in the election process but also help to uphold the principles of good governance and accountability. It is important for politicians to remember that their duty is to serve the people and not to use their power for personal enrichment or to gain an unfair advantage in the political arena.
372  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: April 25, 2023, 10:30:04 PM
Which are best stake alternatives
I search for good casinos with similar original games
There are a lot of sites which you may choose. You can visit the forum and check those easily and you will be able to understand very easily which is suit for you and which you may choose as the alternative of stake. All the user does not prefer stake and many a user does not like the site. So, you should check which you may use.
^Definitely right and in fact, here is a thread that OP can choose from.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5333602.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5341966.0
However, comparing each casino is not important here, because both of them have a negative and positive side which depend on the casino.
But I suggest reading first the TOS before choosing a casino that you wanted to play.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 25, 2023, 10:23:26 PM
You are also a gambler if you ask me. Why?, Because when you invest you are risking your funds to get what you desire or what you wanted to get. Gambling have different types if you search about it and the most common type of gambling is by playing in a casino with your own money (risking to earn more). If I say, it is the same as investing since you risk your money to make more money but the difference is that gambling in casino is more risky since house always win.
^Everything that has a risk is gambling for me even when all your decision in life considering as gambling.
Bu the measurement here is still there, though bought are risky and considering gambling, but at least investing has less risk than gambling like playing roulette, dice or crash that everything against on the house edge which is the chances of winning is very low compared to BTC investment which is the chances of making money is high. So investment and gambling have a correlation to each other but they are not the same.
374  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: April 25, 2023, 10:00:06 PM
Lately we have seen a lot of online casinos that are considering themselves as Web3.0 but in reality it’s just a name, they don’t over a real Decentralized experience for players.
So i want to know from you what are all the features an online casino should have to be considered as a web3.0 casino?

A web3 casino should be fully decentralized which is the ultimate feature of a Web 3 casino since all payments are settled within the blockchain and players need to connect their wallet to the casino before the play, it makes sense in the form of the true spirit of decentralization, but that has not been the case with all the so-called web 3 casino we have around because the claim to be web 3 by name but remains centralized in operations.
So to most of us, the recent Web 3 campaign is just hype that will fade away with time if any true development is not done.
^ Web 3 casino websites not only focus on decentralization. In fact, there are four major concepts before we can call a casino it is a web 3 features such as using Smart contracts, a provably fair system, accepting a variety of coins or having its own token, and last but not the least interoperability. This is should be interoperable with other decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain platforms, allowing for seamless integration and compatibility with the wider blockchain ecosystem.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 23, 2023, 10:09:56 PM
Usually I don't like spending money to buy lottery ticket for obvious reasons unless it is free offer by any gambling platform. Bc game casino has daily free spin wheel for specific Vip levels and one of the sections on wheel offers 10 lottery tickets. Getting free lottery tickets can boost the balance if one of the tickets gonna hit daily prize. This is how I like to play lottery, due to the high house edge fact I don't like paying for lottery ticket tbh.
^Even on Freebitco.in, they have a free ticket for a lottery but that was not got my interest, because the lottery for me it seems like a boring game, you need to wait more or less 24 hours to see the result. In my place, I sometimes bought a ticket from our local lottery seeing the amount of the prize become a billion. For me, we never know when the jackpot will hit, so when we will hit the jackpot if we do not buy tickets on the lottery but at least, that amount spent is the amount that we can afford.
376  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.AG SCAM!!! -1000$ on: April 23, 2023, 09:40:40 PM

Betcoin.AG suspects him to be from a restricted region. That's why he was asked to send proof but OP is not sending anything as said by Betcoin.AG. It's the standard nowadays already so he is not sending proof of location, I guess he can't go on the play.

But would you let him withdraw if he isn't providing documents?  Or now he is obligated to send and the casino is also obligated to ask for the documents?

As we have already informed him, he is welcome to the funds any time. The verification request is based on his insistence that he is in a permitted region. It appears to us that he thinks he is going to talk his way out of having to complete it. We have pushed for him to admit that he is in a restricted region and take a withdrawal, but he continues to deny it, causing a lot of unnecessary back and forth, which is why the account was suspended. We continue to wait for him to follow up on this by email. We are, and have been, ready to resolve this for days.
^Probably he really wanted to play your site but that is the problem, he is in a place the restricted based on your TOS.
In this case, is there a possible way to return the deposited money first before blocking the account? Confiscating money seems very frustrating even on my side even though I know that is my fault. Probably there is no scam issue if the money will return and don't let him access your site by banning the IP address, if he uses VPN, that is another story.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep hodling your Bitcoin on: April 22, 2023, 09:37:47 PM
~snip~
There’s always someone willing to takeover for those who are scared so let them be. Real bitcoin enthusiast don’t see the price of Bitcoin with current value. You will understand this if you watch many times how scared people react on every price drop.
^Definitely right and this is true.
Probably those people who are selling are not selling the below the price from where they purchased it, only dumb people will do that for sure.
However, the real BTC enthusiast will not look at the market price closely, or watch the price daily, they aim for their goal to make a profit in a long term and that is the reason they hold it in a long term. BTC price has been proven that will always create an ATH and that time is near to come. So I am not surprised the real enthusiast will understand the word of long-term holding.
378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: IS IT SAFE TO INVEST PENSION FUNDS IN BITCOIN? on: April 22, 2023, 09:28:52 PM

I spoke to a friend about Bitcoin and he asked if it is safe to invest Pension funds in Bitcoin considering the fact that this is a retirement saving. I am skeptical of investing people's funds in this coin because it can't be predicted also we cannot overlook the fact that Bitcoin may enhance investment returns at retirement.
However, my findings from people that work in these organizations say contributor's funds in some categories can be invested in risky investments because of the high return on investment and contributors have the option to opt for this option but with the exception of the soon-to-retiree.
^ Just ask him if he is ready to take a risk investing in BTC, though BTC is a good investment there is no guarantee when you will have a profit.
Just also ask him if this fund that he supposedly use is the amount that he is willing to wait to make a profit. Because probably there is a chance that if he badly needed money he will sell his BTC at a lower price. If I were in your place, just explain to him the bad side and good sides of in investing BTC and let him realize and decide on his own.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin was to be physical product? on: April 22, 2023, 09:21:29 PM
You will be surprised that people will invest in Bitcoin as a physical product, it may take a while just like it did also as a digital currency but it will gain recognition in the years that roll by.

Obviously, there will be people investing to this kind of scheme but it doesn't make sense because it beats the purpose why Bitcoin is created.  Remember Bitcoin is a kind of electronic transfer, not physical transfer.
^If OP read the Whitepaper of BTC and why it was created, you never think about this physical product. The reason BTC was created is just to become and peer-to-peer cash electronic payment system, nothing else was stated in the Whitepaper, it also does not state there that have a promise to anyone to make a profit. I cannot just imagine how to cross the borders in every country if that is a physical product.
Remember that BTC's unique properties, such as its decentralization, immutability, and digital nature, are what make it valuable and attractive to users. These properties would not exist if Bitcoin were a physical product, and it would lose its potential as a decentralized digital currency.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting vs fantasy sports on: April 22, 2023, 09:11:24 PM
Sports betting is best one to earn more money in a short period of time with your sports knowledge.Fantasy sports are not a real football,it was played with assumption of real players in the Internet.Sports betting is sports based on gambling used to entertain us.Gamblers using the sport bets to play based on the trust on their own players experience. The fantasy sports are based on your experience and based on your play. And some games based on pictorial representation and gaming which had betting based on the online games.Gambling is preferred one by the gamblers as compared to the fantasy sports games.
^ I respect your opinion but I think different people here have a different opinions in choosing the best one.
But yet, both sports betting and fantasy sports involve risk and can be approached with caution. But for me, fantasy sports can be fun games and engaging ways to enjoy sports and compete against others, but it is important to recognize that they are not real-life sports and do not involve betting on the outcome of specific games or events. That is probably the reason why sports betting with real players remains on top of these virtual sports games.
