He's not a dev so no.
He's a good spokesman, but that's not really relevant for holding alert keys, even as well liked and trusted as he is

Didn't work out so well for Iceland or canada. I don't know how these geniuses miss the importance of decentralization every time?

pretty sure smaller blocks = more centralized. still dont really understand the whole thing, but Andreas seems to think so, so I\m betting on his opinion. arent the only people in favour of smaller blocks the big private miners? that should tell you something...anyways, the network is going to figure it out. just like the hard fork all those years ago... much arguing, but as soon as it was in effect and the network survived everybody shut up.

yeah, the laws around fraud are archaic. steal hundreds of millions and get a few years (which you only do about 15% of) pay nothing back to those you robbed. this kind of sentencing is no deterrent. however, steal a slice of pizza... after getting caught stealing a slice of pizza 2x before... LIFE!
it really is a rich man's world, even if you stole all your riches.
we need some high-up judges and lawmakers to get fleeced a few times. then maybe these laws might change.

seems rudimentary to us geeks here at bitcointalk, but we (i'll assume you're like me) are all over every detail and aspect of bitcoin, studying everything about it every day for the last couple years. Not so with the majority of the population. They need to hear these type stories, and they need to keep hearing it until it finally sinks in.
Eventually they'll catch on.

if it was fun they wouldn't call it work. i suppose one could enjoy it, but really, there are always other things I'd rather be doing.
if you are talking about faucets... theyre just a waste of time. whats to enjoy about entering captchas for 2 cents a week?
i do kinda like playing sarutobi though.

why cant people simply put their btc address on the page? thats all you need really. thats what btc was designed to do... eliminate the middle man. eventually all these third-party buttons will be obsolete, once the public realizes how easy and simple it is to simply send the coin.
of course, escrow will always be useful.

im not worried about my ledger wallet. I'm watching the developments in the btc sphere close enough that if the tech threatens to become obsolete i can adjust accordingly, but I'm not too worried. i check my balance too often to get left behind.

i dont think the china/btc association will be so simplistic. i think what will happen is; the IMF will make the Yuan the world reserve currency, maybe next year. the USD will be totally devalued and USD will be next to worthless in terms of exchange (and in buying power at home) China is already the largest world economy. its only a matter of time.
when the yuan becomes the world reseve currency, BTC will be the only viable option for Americans.
get your btc now, before its too late

who was that black guy that Did youtubes a couple years back. i liked his videos. he was funny, but well informed... cant remember his name, cool dude tho.

Fuck comcast. Seriously. All of their monopolistic bullshit has to be put to an end sometime or the internet can never grow.
im not in the USA, but srsly... comcast has the WORST reputation of any ISP out there. They are known worldwide for it. are there regions in the states where they are the only option? otherwise i cant see why anyone would use them.

its good to see funding flow in, shows confidence and the public will take note, but keep in mind... funding a start up is no guarantee that the startup succeeds... most fail, that's just a fact of startups. also, the numbers aren't that high. in the bigger picture its just a drop in the bucket.
its still positive, though. we will see in a year or two. if any of these startups succeed, then it will be reflected in the price.

i dont think the numbers of users at voat and a few reddit subs really constitutes an exodus. bitcointalk is still the main hub, despite its flaws, its the best we have

He's obviously selling it for the gold. It's quite common and any gold buyer would be willing to purchase. The value all depends on how much gold is in the alloy. Could be low or high, you'd need to let a professional determine that. $50 is probably fair.

You're going to have a hard time offering anything that isn't already here, especially when you can't even think up a unique name. People won't keep going to your forum unless you can offer something they can't get anywhere else.

I'm not taking this bait. Why vandalize the network for the same amount you'd get from a faucet. I boycott coinwallet and everything they touch. So should everyone.

I like to hang out in the "securities" section. basically every single thread in there is some sort of scam or another.

dental gold is usually alloy which means it is anywhere from 40% to 90% gold with another metal added. you should try a local gold buyer just to see what he can tell you. My local guy even has the option to pay in btc, via bitpay, if you want (Victoria BC Canada) but you would be surprised to see how many gold and coin buyers are into, or at least aware of btc. maybe you can make a new convert.
