381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in Alts instead of Bitcoin for far greater returns (or losses) on: January 23, 2020, 03:26:28 PM
Though altcoins are not showing improvement somehow the current state is a good timing to invest since majority of alts are declining.

Its always good to diversify your investment so if the other didnt turn out well you have another to turn on to. This year bitcoin is quite popular due to halving so some of us chose btc over alts.
You can only trust a few alts in the market that have the potential to rally and the forks of bitcoin might rally as they are also halving along with bitcoin and we can expect a good rally in bitcoin and that can be the case with the bitcoin forks too, we have not seen how those will have an impact in the market yet as this will be first time we are witnessing that after the fork debates and lets all see how those coins will perform.

@OP Investing in a low valuation coin is always profitable but you need to find the perfect coin that can rally when the market goes higher.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to maximize profit on: January 23, 2020, 03:01:17 PM
Guys have few half bitcoin i earned through promoting projects and i am looking for a way to increase this btc, i am thinking of using USDT to lock my btc when bitcoin reach 9,000 plus and buy back when it drop back to 8000 plus, is this possible or just a stupid idea over all?
This is not a bad idea to hold the coins in USDT temporarily as i do not trust the coin in the long term but if you are having a trading idea to hold the coin in USDT for a short period then it is well and good because of the liquidity it has in different markets and it is a great way to hold the profits until you find a trustable stable coin with liquidity.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will China Accept Bitcoin As A Currency? on: January 22, 2020, 05:21:37 PM
The Chinese government are control freaks. I highly doubt they will accept bitcoin as a currency. By the way, how did you come to the conclusion that the government has soften their stance over crypto currencies? They haven't changed anything. All they are trying to do is create their own crypto currency and make people use this regulated currency so the government can keep an eye on every financial transactions taking place!
People like to change the narrative all the time, when the Chinese government started viewing the blockchain market and wanted to take advantage of the technology everyone came up with the narrative that they are going to accept the currency part of the blockchain which they will never accept in the near future, these fake news are pumped by the trolls and the social media along with the blogs to attract click baits.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 22, 2020, 04:53:19 PM
Conor might be good at MMA but when it comes to boxing, Manny has all the advantages to knock him out in an instant, I don't see Conor Mcgregor winning at all. Maybe what he can do is all talk, but he is messing with the wrong guy in his own field of expertise, but still, I'm looking forward to this fight if Conor is really going for it, news in articles says, Pacquiao is just waiting for him.
Manny Pacquiao is the superior boxer and no one will debate about it but Conor McGregor is a good counter striker and i will not be surprised if Conor floors Manny Pacquiao but that said i am not expecting any upset but anything is possible while fighting and if Conor McGregor is interested then Manny Pacquiao will accept the fight because of the huge pay day.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 22, 2020, 03:02:54 PM
Just saying.  It's the business they're in, the entertainment business, so don't put words in my mouth.
But...  Khabib's dad tho.  Asking for 100m to fight his son?  Lolol.
It is a good leverage as Dana White even said it could reach the level of Mayweather and Conor which means it will be a huge pay per day which could be a few hundred million dollars and if Dana can predict that the fight could be that huge then there is nothing wrong in Khabib's dad asking for that kind of money  Cheesy. The last fight Khabib fought also made a huge amount of money and considering that it will be the biggest Pay per view event in the companies history surpassing their first fight.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 22, 2020, 02:04:03 PM
Everybody gets beaten eventually, especially when they are a prizefighter like Khabib.
The amount of money these guys get paid is obscene, and it will eventually come to a time when he is paid mega-money to fight an up & coming lion,
Every fighter gets defeated when their chin are exposed when they start getting a lot of damage but i have not seen any fights where Khabib Nurmagomedov have taken any serious damage let alone had a difficult fight in his entire career and everyone is expecting that the fight against Tony Ferguson would be his difficult test because of his unorthodox style and his sharp elbows. If you think there is a fighter who can challenge Khabib Nurmagomedov i would like to know apart from Tony Wink.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: By now, is it worth to invest in major altcoins for the long term? on: January 22, 2020, 12:49:44 PM
Long term investment can only be done with those coins for which the development activity is ongoing without any major issue. Very few of the altcoins will qualify if we consider this criteria. Take the example of Ethereum. During the past few months, the development timelines have been postponed multiple times and the roll-out of ETH 2.0 has been delayed quite a bit.
It is a known fact that the ETH 2.0 will not roll out in time and what they have proposed might bring the fall of the entire ETH market. Lets see how the market will perform in the next two years and i highly doubt we will see any rally in ETH but it can have his speculative run when ever the price of bitcoin goes higher and so is the case with majority of the alt coin market.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Numbers Continue Exploding in Spite of ICO History on: January 21, 2020, 05:27:53 PM
Because they don't study the history of ICO's and all they think is that they'll still get a chunk of profit upon investing. But it's not like that anymore because it's on totally new situation now and it's about to die.
It is not because they do not study about the market, they just do not have the idea to make things successful nor wanted to complete the project, all they want to do is to come up with the idea and start collecting money and they know that they will get some investment and that is what they are looking for, stay away from any projects that are coming up in the next one year as all are eyeing for the market rally to cash out.

Yes, with that idea. They will recycle all of those ideas and the habit that they have with the previous projects that they've done. If the first project they've made became successful, later on they will abandon it to create a new one.
They recycle the same idea again with a new marketing strategy and that is happening in the market for a long time.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 21, 2020, 04:06:50 PM
I sure also want to see a rematch between McGregor and Khabib as well and after that devastating fight against Cowboy I surely think that Conor McGregor had an upgrade and has a chance against Khabib Nurmagomedov but there are 3 candidates that McGregor can choose for his next fight
Khabib Nurmagomedov will be a tough fight for anyone in the division and i think unless he retires or move up the division no one is going to beat him but i would like to see a rematch so that there wont be any excuse from Conor McGregor and that is the fight even the UFC president is looking to make because of the huge money they can make with the fight but i am expecting Conor selecting Nate Diaz next because it is another big fight for him. Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman are bound to fight next as per reports.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin’s Next Peak May ‘Only’ Be $80,000, Says Analyst on: January 21, 2020, 03:18:17 PM
I just don't know how crazy they are when it comes to predicting these numbers in that specific day, month or year. Even John McAfee's prediction of $1 million dollars per BTC by the end of 2020 may be impossible as he is now "under pressure" of eating his d*ck live on TV!
Not even halving would guarantee the claims of analysts like him that Bitcoin would "moon" for real.
Everyone like to make a prediction and earn money doing so because these predictions are click baits to attract crypto investors and they are making money with these kind of predictions, i would be surprised if the price crosses $50k let alone $80k . There is a lot of resistance to break to reach the current all time high valuation and i have no idea when that will happen let alone these huge predictions Roll Eyes.
391  Economy / Economics / Re: New Hampshire bill to allow taxes to be paid in Bitcoin falls short on: January 21, 2020, 02:00:26 PM
This is why cryptocurrency is not getting anywhere. What is the point of legislators doing loads of work to get a payment method on the books, as in Ohio, if only 10 businesses bother to use it?
We're going backwards partly because people are hoarding their cryptocurrency instead of using it.
It is the choice of the investor what they want to do with the investment and the duty of the legislators is to come up with regulation so that everyone has the freedom to do what ever they like and with time we expect more merchants to accept bitcoin, during the initial phase we had more merchants accepting bitcoin and we will see that phase once again after the regulation.
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else think "long term" hodlers are idiots? on: January 21, 2020, 01:01:31 PM
I'm a long term HODL'er and I sometimes think so. But it is much easier to be a long term HODL'er and have your delusions if you have been one since 2013
and Bitcoin was on Oct 18th, 2013 when I started mining on my KNC Jupiter BTC miner about 1 BTC a day!
If you are long term holder for bitcoin then you are smart but the market is filled with thousands of shit coins and token projects which are worthless and if you invest in those during the initial phase and did not bother to sell of when you hit the profit then you are going to be the bag holder. So where you invest makes a huge difference.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 20, 2020, 05:26:11 PM
We have other fights coming up Curtis Blaydes v Juniordos Santos and Rafaeldos Anjos v Michael Chiesa coming up this week and next month we have another interesting fight card where Jon Jones takes on Dominick Reyes and Valentina Shevchenko taking on Katlyn Chookagian. My prediction for 247 are Jon Jones and Valentina Shevchenko as i do not see anyone beating them anytime soon Grin.

394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 20, 2020, 04:57:07 PM
Khabib Nurmagomedov said he will not fight Conor McGregor unless he wins 10 fights before getting a rematch. And also Nurmagomedov will fight Tony Ferguson this coming April
After the match between the two will depend of what will happen if Conor McGregor vs Khabib 2 will happen or what.
To a media Khabib Nurmagomedov said those words but if you look at the rankings if Khabib Nurmagomedov is able to defeat Tony Ferguson who is the  other worthy opponent for him other than Justin Gaethje and after that fight he have to fight Conor McGregor because he still ranked above the rest of the fighters in the division and hence he does not need to wait for 10 more fights to face him.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is BSV a bubble ? on: January 20, 2020, 03:34:08 PM
Yeah...I have BSV and BCH on legacy wallets...I should soon move that stuff off..pay the cap gains and put it into BTC Core...I have little hope for either of them.
Majority are holding the bitcoin forks and many sold them during the initial phase itself to enter bitcoin but some are still holding these forks because you never know what the future holds, the competition to scale is interesting and we will survive in the future as a major force if we are able to make a viable scaling solution and which ever coin makes that possible will be having its place in the market. There is no doubt that the rally in BSV happened simply because of the hype and the possibility of CSW having the private keys and once the news came out that it was just a lie the market went down again Cheesy .
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What about WAVES? No one talks about it anymore! on: January 20, 2020, 02:35:08 PM
Sasha Ivanov promised huge success to Vostok (distributed for waves holders) and waves price went up
Sadly his promise never fulfilled and no one is interested in Waves anymore (except traders).
The ICO and the token market is done and dusted and it is hard for the rest of the platforms with similar model will die off eventually simply because you cannot have a speculative market that will sustain for a long period of time and if you are smart enough make sure anyone who is holding the coin to sell off when the market rises and hold something useful.
@OP the reason no one is talking about all these token platforms is because the use case right now is zero. ETH is the major market for token creation and do we need 100 platforms with similar use case?.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 19, 2020, 05:45:14 PM
If Khabib loses to Ferguson and he will be the next title holder, will Conor still be interested to fight Khabib?
Or he will be more interested to get his belt back?
The reason Conor McGregor did not call out anyone is because he is looking for options and he wants to know whether the fight between Tony and Khabib goes like planned and if they fall off i am sure Conor will fill in and fight for the title and if Tony wins he will go for the belt rather than fighting Khabib. If Khabib wins he will most probably fight Nate Diaz for the most anticipated trilogy.

It seemed like it...  Lolol.  But I don't think Cerrone would be that guy.  He's a straight up, good guy.  Just felt like he fell early, that's all.
If you look at all the looses of Donald Cerrone in the first round,
Justin Gaethje : First round 4:18
Darren Till: First round 4:20
Rafael dos Anjos: 1:06
Anthony Pettis: 2:35
Benson Henderson: 1:57
and Conor McGregor finished him faster than the rest in just 40 seconds.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 19, 2020, 03:33:30 PM
This will be a boring to watch and we already know who will win obviously. Manny Pacquaio will kick Conor McGregor's ass. I'd rather to throw my money to watch these following matches:
Conor McGregor vs Usman
Conor McGregor vs Khabib 2
These are similar fights for Conor McGregor and there is no way he is going to win a fight against world class wrestlers who maul other world class wrestlers and if i have to assume that Conor will have an opportunity against these two monsters then i have to be brain dead.

Conor McGregor vs Masdival
Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3
These are the two fights we will probably see as Nate Diaz trilogy will be a huge pay day fight and then he might go and face Masvidal for the BMF title and he can make millions if he take those fights rather than taking risk fighting monsters who are really good on the ground.

I am happy to see the respect that is shown by both the fighters after the fight.
