381  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Nigeria vs Binance on: March 10, 2024, 02:12:55 PM
So, let me ask a question? Did Binance as an exchange scammed it's community in Nigeria? Or Binance P2P became a scammer paradise? Or Binance evade tax in a country that doesn't have any regulation, if I am correct with my search.
There were no scams and Binance P2P became one of the largest in the world when banks were restricted from mediating crypto transactions. The reason for the ban on binance has nothing to do with discontent from the customers that use the service, but rather a "band-aid" approach to solve a much bigger isssue.

Now, it is evident that you don't want to share the reason. Which I am okay as it might hurt you but it is clear the government is acting for their personal benefits. And their can be religious factors involved with thier scrutiny and Binance halting their services. I still would reiterate that whatever is happening is because of G20 and it will continue till your government accepts their requirements.
382  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Nigeria vs Binance on: March 10, 2024, 01:57:39 PM
After becoming a part of the G20 gang you could expect the same from Nigeria. They as in the country were inducted into the G20 gang last year and after that, every country being part of this gang is trying to ban Binance or exchanges that they feel are a threat to them.
Nigeria have not been inducted into the G20, we were invited as guests to the submit last year. As part of the African Union (AU) we are technically members of G20, but no official induction was made last year.

The Binance-Nigeria tussle has a different root cause and is not being influenced by external influences. Nigeria has also had a shaky stand on the legality of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies over the years, which involved a ban on banks, a SEC relying on it and a reversal of the initial ban on banks.

Agreed but it is where the influence of some big economies have spilled in to you economy. You will see many other policy that you won't like inthe future.

Whatever is the issue it cannot be created like it got created in India for AML. What we are noticing is only games that the government around the world plays within their country in order to control those they cannot. In this case they found a culprit like Binance exchange.

So, let me ask a question? Did Binance as an exchange scammed it's community in Nigeria? Or Binance P2P became a scammer paradise? Or Binance evade tax in a country that doesn't have any regulation, if I am correct with my search.

Shreyas Iyer looks cooked to me now. Another failure for him in the ongoing Ranji final. Selectors won't even look at Iyer.

Everyone in Ranji is exploiting his weakness against bouncer, be it a 25 yo bowler or 36 yo Umesh Yadav.

I don't think that Ishan or Iyer would be able to make a comeback. Ishan due to the discipline issue with BCCI and Iyer due to his continuous poor form. Even the World Cup he was not batting well and with a lot of talent getting a chance play for India in the test series it would be hard for Iyer to secure a place.
Well, his form dipped in the test cricket and his replacements are available so it's alright but it would be unfair to doubt his ODI form, especially in the ODI WC.

The dude has scored more than 500 runs with an average of 65-ish, which includes 2 tons (1 in SF against Kiwis) and 3 50s.

Indian players cannot play in other leagues but are one of the highest-paid in IPL. This and that shit-headed thought that BCCI is a shit and with IPL they would make more than what they can by representing India. Being a Mallu born and brought up in Mumbai this guy thought that he would be replaced as BCCI has a past wherein they always keep a soft heart of those being from Mumbai.

I knew Iyer would get rejected as the fucking owner of BCCI is a Gujarati. It has been evident for some time now that they as in the BCCI are focused on Mumbaiker players and are concentrating more on players from less privileged states or North and West India. You can do a check of players that have debuted recently in the series.

This is what is happening in my country but Binance has never disclosed that they will halt their operation in my country. On the contrary, Binance has been shadow-banned by the Indian government. It is better if the Nigerian community moves to an exchange and sets up their P2P system on an exchange that does not have a KYC requirement for up to 2 BTC. I am not going to come up with a list of names, but the best exchange in times like this will be MEXC.

These are the figures of GDP growth in 2022/2023 for central america:

Quote
Guatemala  4.1%  3.5%
Panama  10.8%  5.1%
Honduras 4%   3.2%
Salvador 2.6%  2.7%
Nicaragua 3.8%  3.1%
Costa Rica 4.6%  4.1%
Belize 8.7% 4.2%

Salvador has had the lowest growth in Central America for two consecutive years!
It has run a $764.60 millions deficit last year after a previous $587.40 million deficit.
The country GDP to debt ratio has reached a new record at 80.9% and it's projected to reach 98% of GDP in 2027.

So, what good has done Bukele to the economy?

Here is my reply to you troll! Please create another sheet where in you show GDP vs Inflation percentage. I would love to see the amount of inflation these countries with high GDP have as the real figure is always inflation percentage. As you trolled me with GDP data I would now like to see the inflation date to understand whether these data are relevant for a country. As I understand the GDP is irrelevant when the inflation is higher. I hope you check the inflation data of EL-Salvadore of 2022 and then rethink how good your data-driven ideology is in 2024.

386  Other / Beginners & Help / Potential Scams to Watch Out For in the 2024 Bull Run! on: March 10, 2024, 01:10:08 PM
Hey! newbie community,

With Bitcoin trying to create a new ATH and in the current market condition, there would be an influx of new members on BTT. As a newbie, you are prone to get caught in unrealistic offers here and with new projects that will sound extremely profitable. I have been a member of this forum for approximately six years. During this time, I have observed numerous scammers becoming active whenever the market is experiencing a bull run. To prevent newcomers from losing their investments, I decided to share some of my experiences.

In the current market conditions three most common and effective scams you will encounter. These three scams are so effective to date that scammers tend to use it whenever they see the market is in a bull run and would use them for their benefit.

  • Pump-and-Dump schemes
  • Fake news and FUD
  • Rug pulls

There are numerous topics about these three scam techniques within the forum and also available on Google. If you want to know what they are then copy the sentence and search as it does not make any sense for me to again go through them here. What I am interested is providing you with newbies to identify such scams. Let's start with the first one and then we will discuss the others one by one.

Pump-and-Dump schemes

They are not something that any newbie should focus on as it will get you destroyed if you believe in them. The scammers would first invite anyone to join a channel on telegram where they will show how much gain every joined user has made. If you do join the channel and see such a user and then view their profile you would 90% of the time you would find it to be a user telegram bot. All you would need to do is to check the username and you will not find it. You will see the info with the username which means it is a user bot. Stay away from such telegram channels or WhatsApp channels that give unrealistic hope and promise good gains.

Fake news and FUD

Beware of news circulating in social media and chat groups as they are always dangerous. It is imperative to verify any news coming out from those networks and those circulation in the mainstream media. I have seen how bad it can be in the 2021 bull run and do remember that influencers are not gods or people you can follow blindly it is better to do checks before believing in them or anyone. One simple task you can do is follow the social media handles of cryptocurrencies where you have invested and check with mods of those platforms whether the news is correct. Remember fear, uncertainty, doubt, and fear of missing out is the biggest reasons a newbie incurs a loss in cryptocurrency investment.

Rug pulls

Another devastating scams involve developers abandoning a project after taking investor's funds. Be cautious of projects with anonymous teams or unaudited smart contracts or a new shit coin project wherein you trying to ride the hype will lose everything. It is again important to check the project papers and roadmap to assert that the new project is good for investments. However, it is risky as there are new projects with a lot of promises that have done this scam without much effort.

Let's keep the conversation going if the senior members and above think there should be more that should've been added to this topic please reply. I might have missed something.

Thanks.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the newly listed Coinbase coins that might pump? on: March 10, 2024, 12:15:07 PM
Do one thing, visit this website https://www.techopedia.com/cryptocurrency/new-coinbase-listings and there you will find all the new listed coins on the Coinbase exchange for 2024. The majority of them are shit coins except a few, if you want to gamble with your investment then invest in shit coins. If not, invest in coins trying to work on crypto infra or solve real-world issues. I still believe that cryptocurrency projects that are trying to solve real-world issues tend to fail therefore invest in projects that are for the betterment of crypto. Always do your research before investment as It is your money that you are investing which can be risky.

What an amazing series it has been for the Indian team and Rohit Sharma! Rohit is getting viral for all the wrong language he has been using in this series. This might be the first time that he won a test series with almost a new team. None of the big guns played the test series and with Kohli, Rahul and a few famous names unavailable India still managed to win this series with almost a whitewash.

Ashwin's 100th Test match and his performance was truly Ashwin-esque, as he took 9 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav is not only performing well with the bat but also taking wickets like a professional spinner. The English side found a new spinner after Panesher which is this Pakistani lad Bashir. He was very good in the final test which shows he will now be part of the team for some more years now.

Wait for my reply and do remember you are trolling me about Salvador on a thread where it is about whether a falling economy like Pakistan can survive with Bitcon.

I am going to enjoy this discussion as I have not time now. I will get back to you tomorrow. Please don't hesitate to edit your reply as it is already captured.

BTW, I found a way to get anyone being duped on Binance P2P. Ask the merchant to pay in eRupee and they will avoid their bad money to be credited. If you don't understand why then do understand that it is governed by RBI.

EL-Salvador is a country that was the one to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender. That was in the year 2021 when Bitcoin created a new ATH, till now they survived and improved their economy because their President was a visionary.

And do you have data backing this claim?
From another of my replies:

Why would I need data to back my claim? Salvador is a struggling economy and that is why they are trying something new. What's the point for you to suggest that the economy is going in shit. With Bitcoin pumping it is evident they would get their economy into a position where they would be not be in a position to ask guidance from IMF.

Since you are a data fantic now, go look into the borrower list of IMF and then come up with a data. Lol! Think before you reply and then give me a data. Remember we are talking about Pakistan and not a South American countries .
393  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can Bitcoin save a nation that owes a lot of money / Debt on: March 08, 2024, 01:06:17 PM
All politicians and businessmen, of course, lie in public speeches, and I would be more afraid to listen to the opinions of those who recommended buying Bitcoin during the last bull cycle.
Gold as a short-term reserve is not a very good way, because transactions with it are controlled in my country and in other countries and there are taxes. But on the shadow market, prices are much lower when selling, and when buying, you need to check the goods, otherwise scammers will sell a gold-plated piece of metal.

I agree that politicians lie upfront and they do use those lies for their own benefits. Whereas in that country politicians scam, use their power to make money for themselves and they get their support from the army as they are in control of everything. They as in the civilians never can say army did it, they call the army as establishment.

Even Wikipedia created a seperate page for them: Allegations of rigging in the 2024 Pakistani general election
394  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BIS issues regulatory recommendations for global stablecoin arrangements on: March 08, 2024, 12:18:37 PM
To which fiat will this GSC (Global Stable Coin) would be pegged? The document doesn't give any indication and as a matter of importance it doesn't give any information why any country would accept a GSC. It only makes me believe that they are trying to control the cryptocurrency market with a new stable coin that will be known as GSC. Another step taken by another financial institution to control decentralized entity like Bitcoin with their own stable coin.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Contributing to the network on: March 07, 2024, 01:37:26 PM
Why not start promoting Bitcoin among your family members and friends? In that way, you are still contributing to the network as you are increasing its adoption. Word of mouth is the reason why everyone in the initial days started buying Bitcoin or mining Bitcoin. It is another way to contribute to the development of Bitcoin and If you do not have the resources to run a node then you can do what I suggested. Bitcoin needs more individuals like you who can promote it within their community as the problem it is facing now is going into the hands of those who are rich or have resources to buy Bitcoin.
396  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can Bitcoin save a nation that owes a lot of money / Debt on: March 07, 2024, 01:02:21 PM

I am a poor communicator on the situation in Pakistan.
But I understand a little about economics.
The very first thing I tell everyone is the words of Warren Buffett: “Bitcoin will cost 0.” And this must be understood correctly.
Nobody knows when this bubble will burst, in a year or in 10-100 years, but it will burst.
For the USA and Europe, this is a very small market, and a collapse in the crypto market will not greatly affect their economy, but for small countries this can be a very fatal mistake.

I am a big Bitcoin supporter and I do not think it is a bubble, someone like Warren Buffet who is a known stooge of the US, cannot destroy my belief in Bitcoin. I do agree there is a big risk to consider Bitcoin as a legal tender due to its volatility, but when Bitcoin goes up and you as in a country have Bitcoin as a reserve rather than Gold it does increase a country's reserves.

In Pakistan, the problem is different as the current selected government is full of those who are known to be corrupt. I said selected because of the Pakistan army controlling the output of the election. If the leader is known as corrupt and the Army is known to be the backbone that controls everything happening in Pakistan how would then Bitcoin help that nation? Do a Google search about the current election in Pakistan and you will see how the Pakistani army is controlling everything happening in that country.

397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are so many of my posts not being posted? on: March 07, 2024, 12:37:14 PM
Surely you are losing many users over this?

Grow up kid! The world does not stop if someone is dead. In the same manner the forum will grow without you. Look at it's history and those who have been here for long. They have grown and have achieved reputation which is known and acknowledged by the Bitcoin community within and outside the forum. We don't need brats like you who never bother to read the rules of posting. It is imperative that you follow the rules and guidelines before cribbing about something that you don't know or failed to understand.
398  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: March 07, 2024, 11:21:50 AM
England won the toss and choose to bat first. The openers gave a good start but as soon as they were out the middle order again crumbled. On a batting pitch England managed to get 218 runs that proves the middle order is out of form. Ashwin playing his 100th test got 4 wickets whereas Kuldeep broke the crucial opening partnership and went on to tak 5 wickets.

Indian batting was stable as both Indian openers got their half century. Whereas Jaisawal inexperience led him to lose his wicket. Hit man is still batting and Inwould lve to see him get a century this time.

Looks like OP forgot to change the thread title because the giveaway ended a long time ago
LOL! Grin That was one careful observation but what will the OP do unless guys like you come up with some unique complaints about the casino? I did saw that the OP was last active on March 01, 2024, this is nothing new as they only are here to help users of their platform or promote a marketing campaign. They might come once in a while with marketing updates and they are very active when there is an issue. If you are in the mood to point out where the OP is then I am assuming that you are so free that you cannot understand how busy the representative of this platform can be. Try something new and innovative!

If I were the president of the country, I would not legalize Bitcoin. There is a very high risk of potential scam here. The first miners and users received bitcoins for a very small amount, and now one bitcoin costs more than $60,000.
If El Salvador now has unrealized profits, this does not mean that these profits will last forever. Prices are also falling.

I agree they as in the top brass or the elites who are only 10% will easily corrupt the miners or the financial advisors to get control over Bitcoin. The present government is full of corrupt leaders and they are again in power because of the backdoor Army control. You would not believe it the Army produces everything and is the biggest infrastructure developer in Pakistan.

EL-Salvador is a country that was the one to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender. That was in the year 2021 when Bitcoin created a new ATH, till now they survived and improved their economy because their President was a visionary. Assuming they bought Bitcoin when it was in its ATH, last night Bitcoin reached that price point and with the current market condition it is going to create a new ATH in a few days. What will you have to say then about Bitcoin with spot ETF money coming in Bitcoin is going to create some huge ATH.
