381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin spiking to $595 on: September 04, 2016, 12:30:25 PM
even bitstamp joined the $600 crew just now. it will be interesting to see where we are heading in the coming days. i just hope it isn't a trick where the price will dive sub $600 to $570-$580 prices again.
382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rising to 600$ , pure manipulation ? on: September 04, 2016, 11:23:13 AM
there is nothing in the news that you can relate to the current price spike. but i don't think it's manipulation. it's probably due to a few large players is securing themselves a decent position in bitcoin before the price start to go up again. whatever the reason really is, it's a more than welcome bit of market action that we have been waiting for.
383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why trading volume is so low now? on: September 03, 2016, 04:34:08 PM
It is true that trading volume is low as i think everyone is waiting for the price to move above $800 as expected by them, apart from that i think nowadays lot of altcoins are coming in exchanges so everyone is busy with altcoin trading and earning bitcoins.

those that are waiting for $800 prices are wasting their time. we first need to get to smash through the $600 price level. after that a whole new challange will come towards us. and that's maintaining a price of above $600 levels. it's not as easy as it may seem to some people. then we have to come close to $700 which also is a very difficult thing. too many obstacles.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will be see bitcoin as international currency? on: September 03, 2016, 04:27:01 PM
I dont think bitcoin can become international currency, because most of the people still not recognized bitcoin and they still doubt about bitcoin potential, because there are a lot of negative news about bitcoin, and bitcoin still need to work on the transaction speed to be used as currency
Being seen as something negative and bad doesn’t mean that bitcoin won’t have any chances of becoming an international currency and the fact that most people still don’t realise the benefits of it doesn’t say that they will stay the same in the future.

I believe when there are more and more people use it, bitcoin will become more popular and other people will start to accept bitcoin.

Exactly bitcoin is still young and new to many people and the main reason behind not using it is that people lack knowledge and that is the reason they are hesitating in investing in it.

don't underestimate the media effect on people. these people think bitcoin is a heaven for criminals and terrorists. it's ignorance from the highest possible levels, but it's reality. that's how they see bitcoin.
385  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Changed my life has it changed yours? on: September 03, 2016, 03:38:49 PM
Bitcoin has definitely changed my life as it has helped me in growing my wealth and to be honest I am earning more in bitcoins in compare to my day job so I am planning to get full time into it.

so you earn more with bitcoin than with your regular salary? that's great of course, but it would be nice to hear how and what you are doing to get to such level.

May be he is earning from different methods and would be earning good from trading, as my many friends are full time in trading and earning a great living with it.

i am also trading on a daily basis considering there is enough volatility and volume, but everything i make is more like a bonus for me. in the current calm days i am not trading at all as i prefer to take some distance when the market isn't moving. on average with a decent level of volatility, i can make around 10-20% in a month. last month was quite calm and it resulted in a profit of 6%. still good.
386  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now Everyone is buying on: September 03, 2016, 03:28:27 PM
I would not be surprised if price was around or above $600 the first few months of 2017.
So if you have the money, and can buy some coins in the $550-570 range the last few weeks, you will probably do well.
I don't see the price dropping that much, and if something happens, it could certainly jump back up to the $700 range.
prices will continue to rise. even for several years to occur, continue a steady increase. although not too big, but I am grateful. I better get the price to rise slightly. than getting high prices then fell once.

a lot people say that the price has gone down, and is now considered boring by these people. they however don't look at long term charts where it's clearly visible that we are going up nicely. they don't see that since they only focus on the short term. it's a nice gradual increase that took us years to build. it's better to have a slower but much more sustainable growth, than peaks where you can count the days till it vaninishes into hot air.
387  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: September 03, 2016, 03:19:50 PM
I think whenever we buy something, then we are using Bitcoin as currency. But when we're just holding on to them and we leave them untouched, then we use Bitcoin as an investment. My answer to this question is both. I use bitcoin as currency and I also use it as an investment. I have bought some stuffs online using Bitcoin and I'm currently holding on as much bitcoin as I could so that after a year or two, I could get my profits.

it's as following.

currency aspect: when you buy and sell stuff, send and receive transactions from any level.

investment aspect: when you use it for trading purposes, buying it to hold it for a certain period to sell them later on.

store of value: keeping a good portion of your money in bitcoin for a long period of time. of course this can also be seen as some sort of investment, but a lot people don't treat it as such as their only intention is to keep money out the banking system etc.

these are 3 aspect of bitcoin that i am using.

389  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price we would be at if Btifinex disaster didn't happen? on: September 02, 2016, 04:14:06 PM
if the bitfinex hacking  incident didnt happen may be we are in between on $700-$800 mark i guess since the bitcoin price as of those  days are going  uptrend but the incident do happen which causes the bitcoins price to dump down -$100 average which is  a thing  that  some  bitcoin users  worry about  but for sure  the price would gradually increase.

we nearly touched the $800 price level just before the block halving, but that was just related to the hype. i think the price was due for a correction after the block halving. the bitfinex hack dump resulted in a low of $465. if you take that into consideration, then current price isn't that bad at all.
390  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2017 Year of the Bitcoin on: September 02, 2016, 04:03:58 PM
Someone please remind me on January 1, 2017 to post a thread named "2018, Year of the Bitcoin"
well yeah you are right, the more years bitcoin have the better it becomes, i hope that in 2017 the price is going to go only up in the future

it's a bit wishful thinking to assume that the price will only go up. nothing in the world goes only up in value. the market needs sell-offs from time to time to give the market some time to let a bubble lose its power. also, dumps give people incentive to start buying. it attracts traders. it's a very important aspect of the market.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: September 02, 2016, 02:36:05 PM
Biggest problem of bitcoin i encounter is when my wallet got empty that is my biggest problem but in the transaction nothing bad i can say all is great, fast and very convenient to use it.

that's not a problem related to bitcoin. you have no funds left in your wallet because you have spent them all, or lost them with gambling. these are the most likely reasons.
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price dropping? on: September 02, 2016, 01:59:26 PM
many consequences that cause prices to decline bitcoin. one that often happens is the loss of bitcoin on the exchange. nearly last few years it often is. even the experience was a great exchange.

it's no coincidence anymore. it happened too often for people not to notice it. it's pure manipulation where a few people make loads of money from. it's not the first time that it happened, and definitely not the last time.
393  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did I tell you? BTC will stay down under $600 on: September 02, 2016, 11:47:14 AM
it's funny how people are talking about the price to reach higher levels without knowing what is needed to realize such growth. even keeping the price at current levels requires effort. it's far from east to keep the price around the current levels for weeks, maybe months. that's something people don't realize.

Can you tell us what exactly is needed for price to go higher?? And its not at all funny people here are to discuss and everyone has right to say what they feel and what they speculate about the price of bitcoin, you are not an fortune teller.

fresh money coming in. (most important aspect of course).
good sentiment.

yes, of course people have the right to talk about till what level the price might go up, but they think that it can happen just like that. they don't realize that in order to see the price go up, we must have money coming in to fight against the massive selling pressure. that just to keep the price at the level where it is right now. in order to get the price to increase, there must be even more money being put to work.
394  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: September 01, 2016, 04:41:12 PM
In my opinion there are many methods and ways in bitcoins how you can become rich. But best - buy and hold Smiley

getting rich times are not part of the current times anymore, unless you have a large enough balance that you manage to grow. the far majority of the people here hold less than 1btc. these people will never become rich. even not when the price goes to $10,000 (which might even never happen).
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If one day BTC cannot be traded for cash, what will you do? on: September 01, 2016, 03:42:07 PM
That would be the startnof WW3 Grin.  There would be a worldwide portest if this event will come true.  Many people will notballow this thing to happen as many people's wealth were at stake.  People invested on their money for bitcoin and also invested their time.

Well if incase that would happen, I make sure that I will find a way to get back my money.  If there is no way then I will just keep them and who knows it will turn back.

bitcoin will move more underground than it has ever been. peer 2 peer will be the desired method for buying and selling. and in that aspect, new kind of exchanges will pop up where people will still be able to buy and sell their coins. governments will only force such rules on bitcoin if it is seriously threatening their economy. that's why i like bitcoin how it is right now. an alternative currency/tool.
396  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? on: September 01, 2016, 03:13:30 PM
You cannot have mass adoption without huge prince increase. The marketcap is currently less than what, 10 billion dollars? that is nothing, a company like uber is several times bigger. Once Bitcoin goes mainstream, the price will be in the literal moon.

mass adoption will surely help towards a much higher price, but i would prefer more wealthy people with the intention of using bitcoin as store of wealth, instead of faucet hungry people adding next to nothing to the bitcoin eco system. these people mostly convert every bit of earned satoshis to fiat. they don't spend anything at all, etc.
397  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: September 01, 2016, 02:39:35 PM
You cannot proceed to investing if you do not have the capacity to save, saving is the main thing before your can start investing as your capacity will be determine on your discipline to save so focus on savings for the mean time.
100% correct mate. if somone is not able to save his money he can't invest at any way.
because saving is recommended for investment as you said. investment need capital, without capital investment is not possible and saving make you able to get capital. so both are important.

the first priority of saving money is to have money aside for when you need it. if you have that, and even more alongside that, then you can use that "more" part for investment purposes. it shouldn't be that when you are using your saved money for investment purposes, that you don't have anything left for emergencies and stuff.

399  Economy / Speculation / Re: If u don't buy now you will regret it for your entire life on: September 01, 2016, 01:32:27 PM
"It's never too late." Something that Bitcoin taught me. If you didn't buy at this price, it's okay. It might even turn out to be a good decision. Maybe later the price goes down and at that time, when you get that chance then you should grab it and buy Bitcoins. Imagine those people who knew bitcoin when it was just around 10$ each. They should be regretting it right now. They should have multiplied their investments as of now. But we don't see any of them complaining/ranting about it, right?

strong minded people don't look back and think that "if" they bought their coins back then, they would be happy people right now. they focus on the here and now. i also had the possibility of buying at very low prices (around $100 levels), which i also did, but accordingly to the amount i had for investment purposes, and what i thought to be safe. it's called get over it, and move on. Tongue
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 01, 2016, 01:22:20 PM
for a decent number of people there bitcoin can make their life a bit easier. a lot people there don't have the right documents, or no documents at all to open a bank account. and in case some one does manage to open one, they are tied to paying fees that for their level of income is massive. with bitcoin you can create as many bitcoin addresses for free as you want. there are no monthly or weekly fees involved. in that aspect bitcoin can be quite helpful.
in poor country so many people don't pay taxes, they just care about the money and food, they're rarely opening bank, and the amount of bitcoin adresses have nothing to do with the poor economy,so all of the point is such a useless reason that bitcoin could help poor countries

you're a good example of a sig spammer. read my post before coming up with nonsense. you didn't understand a single thing of what i said.
