The point was that anc took advantage of their "intellectual property" without their permission but now some want to claim that work as proprietary to anc. I have no respect for "intellectual property" rights and was not criticizing the use of zerocoin. I was criticizing the hypocrisy.

Libzerocoin is under MIT license:
http://opensource.org/licenses/MIT

Libzerocoin warning on Github:
THIS IS DEVELOPMENT SOFTWARE. WE DON'T CERTIFY IT FOR PRODUCTION USE. WE ARE RELEASING THIS DEV VERSION FOR THE COMMUNITY TO EXAMINE, TEST AND (PROBABLY) BREAK.

Gnosis worked tons of hours on zerocoin implementation. The code on which it is based has nothing to do with the current zerocoin.
Don't be afraid of ANC dude, just buy some and enter in the game. It's not too late. The price is very low today. In some weeks, we will be on the top 3.

To top Ripple and get to #3 ANC would have to be worth $116 each, by my calcs. If Zerocoin is successful it will be a monumental step for cryptocurrency. Considering the low supply side sell pressure for a tightly held, low supply coin, and the demand for ANC with ZC, I think it could get there but it would be a phenomenal thing!
Ripple is not a crypto currency, its debt based fake crypto money/coins.

Ridiculous bot action on Cryptsy. Need to say goodbye to that exchange.
agree. but aslong ppl continue to trade their because they stick to the high volume exchanges, this never changes :S

Also please remember that Darkcoin did very out of keeping its Darksend closed source for so long.  it was in the top five cryptocoins by market capitalisation for a good while and it's still currently listed as in eighth place.  The ANC devs aim to have Zerocoin on the main-net in about six weeks time.  Why not start to release the code then with an eight week lag.  Instead of the two week lag starting on September the 17th.
i like that idea, its unfortunately needed.

Has anyone tried to withdraw, I am getting message "We're sorry, but something went wrong." Huh
"We're sorry, this is just another small scam. Please stand by."
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: September 12, 2014, 07:00:26 AM
Is anyone still having issues withdrawing coins from Cryptsy? I know that the dust/stuck transactions recently got mined, (thanks K1773R cause you are a superstar), I just don't want to buy coins and have them get stuck. I'd rather be mining but c'est la vie. I love craptsy but hate it too. Only place that has a little bit of volume and some order books. Excited to see how things shape up by the end of the month! <3 i2p
Im still mining and will do so for some time. In case they fuckup, i should get your TX and include it. Only the big TXs were a problem.

Is there any timetable for implementing the auxPoW myriad yet.  Also I know Litecoin and Monero have been chosen plus that you was thinking of Primecoin too.  Although have you decided on the other two auxPoW chains yet.  The two biggest and strongest GPU chains not including Darkcoin are Feathercoin and Vertcoin.  And I feel strongly that you should choose them two to give GPU miners a chance.  TBF you could just settle for a three chain myriad of Litecoin, Monero and Feathercoin or Vertcoin.  To open the mining up to the original Scrypt miners, CPU miners and GPU miners.
You dont choose a coin for AuxPoW, you select a algo for AuxPoW. Lets say we want that Litecoin ppl can MM Anoncoin, then all coins which have the same scrypt settings (regarind PoW) can also MM Anoncoin.
389  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Peer Discovery (STUN/ICE/TURN) on: September 11, 2014, 07:13:52 AM
Emercoin has implemented this with STUN, worth taking a look at it.

As discussed (and debunked?) above.
if you refer to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134731.msg8335303#msg8335303, yes.
its a copy of this post/thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=736721.0 (the post was in emercoins thread at the beginning).

didnt see someone else already mentioned it (and my post in the beginning). seems to be a thread made of posts from other threads.

All invalid craptsy txs have been mined.

Zerocoin update!
First of all, I wanted to clear up any confusion with respect to Matthew Green and the other Zerocoin project members.   The "new" Zerocoin, called "Zerocash", is based on completely different cryptography than the "old" Zerocoin (I will be implementing the old one).  The Zerocoin project has essentially abandoned their previous idea in favor of Zerocash, and expect to release both the paper and the coin in late May.

We are very grateful for the excellent work of the Zerocoin people in developing the original Zerocoin, however they have apparently chosen to ignore our communications, for unknown reasons.  Fortunately, I have the knowledge needed to implement this without their help.  Cheesy

It is reasonable to ask why we are working on implementing the old Zerocoin when the cryptographers responsible for it are working on their own alt-coin implementing a new idea.  There are two reasons: 1) there is no way of knowing for sure that this new Zerocash coin will be released on time, or will work correctly, and there is strong demand for a truly anonymous crypto-currency ASAP; and 2) the new Zerocash may be fatally dependent on a trustworthy party for setting up the initial parameters, as is suggested by my readings about zkSNARKs.  It is an incredible stroke of luck that a workaround exists to this problem for the old Zerocoin (so-called "RSA UFOs", which I am working on at present), and it is likely that no workaround exists for Zerocash.

I've heard this is not technically possible to start Zerocoin in a trustless manner and this is why Matthew Green and members abandoned the first Zercoin project.

Are you just trolling or did you not even Google your username -

Quote
When a zerocoin is minted, the coin is added as a member to the set of all zerocoins by way of a one-way cryptographic accumulator. In order to prove later that a given zerocoin belongs to this set, during the initial setup of the accumulator, it is necessary to define a number N that is the product of two prime numbers P and Q. If the prime numbers are large enough, it would be infeasible for any party to factor N to obtain knowledge of P and Q. However, if the party who setup the accumulator were to know these prime factors, then this party would be able to bypass the security of the system and forge zerocoin membership proofs. Anoncoin solves this setup problem by using RSA UFOs (generalized RSA moduli of unknown complete factorization) for the number N, which can be generated in a trustless manner.

Yes he is. Only accusations with no real argument/proof.
I wonder how such ppl can look in the mirror in the morning...

Hi girls,

so what about the Logo now? Is the one on the wiki the official one now?
If so I will request changing them on coinmarketcap and cryptmarketcap.

I also requested a listing of ANC on bittrex and asked bitinfocharts.com for a listing too.

Another question, what about the Android wallet? I would know 2 people who made Wallets for Coins... should I contact them or is the wallet already in the works?
wrt logo, yes it is
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: September 06, 2014, 09:00:46 AM

Still waiting on my tx to come. : ) need my ANC^^

You know this makes me mad, Cryptsy apparently does a mistake (sorry) I write a ticket and they leave me hanging ... for 14 days now. If I was a normal user not checking bitcointalk and not getting involved ... I'd be under the impression I got my coins stolen.
Your correct, they did a huge mistake and dont have the balls to cover it. Why? Fixing something cost money, which they dont want to spend.
So your using a service but once they have problems, they leave u hanging and dont give a fuck about you. Thats a great exchange/service!

Sounds good K1773R.

Just a head up, to those interested.  Earlier today Cex.io enabled withdrawals,  fee/commission set to 0.01ANC.  Yay... Grin
*Come trade*

General usage observation:
Had several transactions in route over the last week, only the bluetrade failed, generated a support ticket, had the funds within a day.
zAnoncoin has an exciting future, and tremendous team of people behind bringing it all together.
What was the problem with bleutrade? Im interested Wink
Did they also create transactions which didnt get confirmed? If so, could you give me the TXID?
I was wondering that to, but have no idea the cause, perhaps you can tell.  All I know is nothing showed up on the blockchain or in my wallet after 12+hrs, so created a support ticket, then some hours later it showed up, never did get any email from them or comment on the support ticket I had created...just closed it as resolved.
Here is the Tx ID: 03feceb0cd385493955a2f63d0cdac08eb7db8da055111eb0a0123d0d5ee9c59

Ok, if its confirmed then there is nothing to worry about. I didnt mine this TX and its a legal one too.
