Yes it is profitable but I think you need to have high capital to get more profit and I think it takes 3 months for the ROI.

Which coin? Actually, do you know any coin with less than 9 months ROI?

I was considering buying Obelisk, but since I have no idea where they send it from,
I won't, because I could and up buying one for the state (not quite, but I'd come
to maybe 60% in taxes and customs)

As i know they are fabricated in the Us  and will be ship from 3 major country including the Us

Theres bunch of information on the Sia Obelisk website

If we talk about

https://obelisk.tech/

I can't find that info there

Thanks for helping everyone, the problem is that I bought the cards from another person who has changed both bioses (two positions of switch - silent, performance) and I do not have an original bios. Can I find it from somewhere for this card.

Try techpowerup site

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/

but doublecheck

3866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: October 10, 2017, 05:19:29 PM
hello guys,
i have this version of gpu
http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/amd-radeon-rx-500-series/rx-570-rs-4gb-dd-blackedition-rx-570p4dbd6

it use 4gb memory EDW4032BAB and H5GC4H24AJ. In my case it uses elpida and not hynix. i used custom timings from this threat and pasted it into 1750/2000:

777000000000000022AA1C00315A5436A0550F15B68C1506004082007C041420CA8980A9020004C 01712262B612B3715

this is my custom bios settings:

this is my gpu Z

and hwinfo

my results in dual mining eth+lbs is 28,5 + 82 and my questions are:

- how much further i can go? using 2050 or 2025 mem is getting me mem errors in hw info...so is this maximum fort this memory?
- i can see in gpouz that VDDC power draw+VDDCI power draw is giving together  gpu power draw  value. how can this be changed? did i well to use stages in bios as above? does it have impact on these two values?
- what about only VDDC number? is 0.9313V good for 1200/2000? is possible to have less? my ASIC quality is 77%
- VRM Efficiency 99% is ok? or too high or almost perfect? im trying to udnerstand what i should achieve as best result as my gigabyte rx 580 XTR aourus 8GB is having 79% efficiency but ASIC quality is 83%

thank you

That looks like totally crazy strap, but then again I didn't see too many for elpida...still, either crazy or you did bad copy/paste
3867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: is mining still profitable? on: October 10, 2017, 04:26:20 PM
I think its profitable for people that are already in it for a while and ROI-ed their investment...for newcomer,
I'd rather invest into coin than into rig

3869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: October 08, 2017, 05:33:59 PM
People shouldn't put huge sell orders at low prices. That's just shootin yourself in the feet.

If I'd be Microsoft or Amazon, I'd do that to slow SIA down...its change money for them

Actually, they could mine it and even make some profit, while dumping it
3870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: October 05, 2017, 09:00:38 PM

is it possible that SIA will be back? which plans on dev?

There were plans for new software version in September, but postponed to November, there should soon be out
NAS based on SIA, and in about half a year there will be ASIC out

Whats funny is that this dramatic fall coincided with Duplicati integration...usually news like that drive price up

Btw 560H/s on monero is low for that card, I almost get that on my RX560 Smiley

In my posted pic it shows 579 H/s. Don't know where you get 560 from.

I have to check watt usage though, I think I will dail it back to powertune 6 instead of 7.

Ok, few H/s more or less, it still should be way higher imho...I checked it on my R9 380 and I get 670

monero mining uses much less power than ETH anyway, at least
on my cards

yes, same here with my r9 cards. 380X = 529 H/s, 380 = 485 H/s, 290X = 672 H/s, 290= 627 H/s. (mostly on stock settings)
What did you do to your 380 to achieve 670? Cheesy
But, if you don't have cheap/free power then the RX is a better choice.

Ok, with 1190 core and 2000 mem OC I took the 570's cards to 599-627 each:
https://imgur.com/a/tQntF

I changed BIOS with new memory settings, and OC memory to 1550MHz

BIOS Above 4G Decoding set to Enable?

Also some say it helps to put PCI-E to Gen1
3873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 4GB Hynix - Need help with rig (only 20MH/s in dual mode) on: October 05, 2017, 01:03:41 PM
Hey hagbase,

I know not to mine on Wi-Fi. No worries. This is just a temporary thing since I'm not at home and I took my miner with me. I got no cable connection, so this will have to do for now. I'll move my miner back when I solve the hash rate problem and put it on a stable connection.

I've set -tt 68 as you said. They're at 67-68 now at 50-80% fan speed.

Yes I did switch dual BIOS towards the display ports.

Ok so about the black screen it's like this. I download/installed DDU. I then restarted the computer, went into safe mode. I deleted the display drivers with DDU. It then tells me to restart the computer. It restarts. Then I see the motherboard logo, then I see the windows dots spinning in a circle, then after that (this is when the log on screen should be displayed) I only get a black screen. I can't get into windows anymore. I have to reinstall windows or reclone the disk. I've another disk ready with the same setup (I've needed it a lot). So you see my problem. I can try uninstalling the blockhain display drivers from AMD again, but I'll probably get the same result.

Did you try to plug monitor into all cards, maybe windows send output through some other card?

i find the big advantage of 4gb over 8gb
is that the 4gb card runs at lower temperature then 8gb

However, 8GB cards use 8GHz memory, while 4GB cards use slower 7GHz memory

Not bad
3878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: rx 570 bios mod = no change on: October 05, 2017, 07:03:54 AM
I've updated ethos to 1.2.5 and it seems like OC is no problem now at all.

Got an extra 34 Sol per card out of it:

Temps only increased 7°C.

That is because there was some change in ATI drivers 1.7.7.2 and newer that messed up
overclocking in all tools but default wattman (until programmers caught up and patched
their OC tools)

Btw 560H/s on monero is low for that card, I almost get that on my RX560 Smiley

Should it work with RX550s?

Also, it detects Powercolor Red Dragon RX560 as RX460, with crazy default clocks

Really, ok. It is PowerColor red dragon 4 gb 2 fan card.
I can send you the ROM and help you test it if you want to.

Sent you PM
