Maybe we could pay a "bribe" to btc-e to add vertcoin to their market ? I dont understand why people belive in magic x11/x13/x15 colder and energy saver algo. It's just modified Intensity and lower hashrate thats all. You can lower your intensity with the same effect. They washed our brains It works only becouse lower memory consumption and the hashrate is bigger than normaln scrypt and scrypt-n. You're wrong, man. And I explain to you why. I have 8Mh on vert and calculator shows 55 vtc/day with current difficulty 143.43204979. Also power consumption of this 8 Mh is around 4.5 kW. And using rigs on x11-13 I have near 85 Mh on x11 and near 65 Mh on x13. This algos give me 0.025-0.035 btc/day and this is equal of 65-90 vtc/day (I use current price on mintpal). Total power consumption on x-algos is around 2.7 kW. And what we have: scrypt-n: more power consumption, hot cards (70-80C) , lower profit x: less power consumption, lower temps (50-60C), better profit That's why many miners don't want back to mining vertcoin directly. Right now Scrypt-n is very expensive for us. And now you can again talk about "I dont understand why people belive in magic x11/x13/x15 colder and energy saver algo. It's just modified Intensity and lower hashrate thats all. You can lower your intensity with the same effect. They washed our brains" All cards is 7970, not nvidia, and they are in downclock. If my thoughts are wrong, guys, correct me, please. This is very true, and probably a large part of why the network hashrate has been dropping - miners can earn more (btc value), not even considering the lower power costs. The argument that there are fpgas mining whatever algorithm is kind of moot, since even if there are it's still more profitable to mine those algorithms, especially if power is a significant cost for you (strongly dependent on where you live).

the price is not mormal !!!!what's the real reason? There's almost no buy support. Just over half a btc in buy orders on polo, and that's because someone just stuck a buy order worth 0.475 btc at top of the order book, when I checked this morning it was more like 0.15 btc in total buy orders. If you want price to go up, go buy a bunch of TAC and put some buy walls up.

Also XFK looks a bit like X-F**k to me :-P Might just be me though haha.
Not just you, but I thought that was a significant part of the appeal

Vert sucks, because of vert asics. Vertcoin isnt asic proof, asics exist - this explains constant price drop... thats the truth..
you do not even know how it works vert! ignorance is bliss! one day I'll see you here in the forum saying well vertcoin! Just type in google n-scrypt miner... Avalaible next month for public. Sorry, your ignorance sucsk... Now they testing / mining/ selling since 3 months... just because you read it on the internets does not make it so...all of the companies purporting to be taking preorders for n-scrypt asics have no track record, none of them have ever produced a single asic (or anything else for that matter afaik) - they're likely scams. any company that did legitimately invest big in n-scrypt asic probably feels pretty stupid now, at least if they're planning on making all their money back mining vtc and exe

Inflation is not the issue
Whether we emit 50 coins, 25 coins or 2 a day - we need a buyer market for sellers to be able to sell to. Current holders will sell regardless of the coin emission if we do not have buyers willing to buy the coin.
Inflation is Not the issue. We need to address the "avalanche" at the mountain, not try to catch it in buckets at the bottom.
We need buy support. We need activity, promotion, marketing.
With this in mind, I have created a Basecamp project site for any people who have skills and believe that Vertcoin should be / could be one of the top coins both now and in the future.
PM me with your email address, and information about what you can bring to this coin.
+1 PM sent

ahmed_bodi looks clean (0 trust) to me, but more importantly (in my mind) the guy is always on here and at freenode ##myriadcoin. It's not like he's running and hiding, he's always very present and helpful.

or maybe XFK and we can get onboard with the three letter, iso compliant currency names?

there are no investots in vertcoin right now, only bagholders. ... lets look at some grafs very good market for investitions
I will not invest any cent until I see it stable for a couple of months over 0.003 so the most people are. 90% of people are here for money and the other 10% are for idea (decentralisation/privacy/...) and they are nothing without those 90%'s I do not say vtc is bad coin, I say it is awesome, but when you on market you MUST play its rules if you want to succeed. price must be stabilised.
You can't even spell investors or graphs properly, and wtf is investitions (a cross between investment and investigation?)? Seems legit... edit: I see it seems to be a german word (probably also graf, dunno about investots), still, if you want to chat on an english site and be taken seriously, "you MUST play its rules if you want to succeed." Relax. Non native English speakers have the same right to voice their opinions as you do. Thats damn arrogant. Do you want me to go through all your posts with a fine tooth comb checking for grammar and spelling? You know very well the gist of what he was saying. Well, besides the English, he just put up a bunch of unlabeled graphs - no title and no y-axis label. Hurr durr, lines go up, let's listen to this guy... His point was simple. Which would you "invest" in? You don't need names to understand that. Only half a brain. You like to buy high?

our focus should be on increasing adoption, because without adoption nothing else will really matter.
disagree our prime target sould be stabilising the price nope. An obsession with price just makes it look loike pump and dump crapola, which it isn't and won't be (hopefully). If we can focus on getting more miners and more people using the coin, then price will follow (hopefully).

Looks like it got removed, jk Also, I'm not in favor of really changing the time taken to emit the coins, but if you can get your idea posted, I'll be glad to give it a read

ALL changing coin minting rate at this time will do is scare people away - including lots of your current supporters.
ppl are already scared. just take a look at current diff and hashrate. d'u want to see it at the same rates as execoin's? see coinedup buy orders - there are none. I'd rather see those rates than see the coin ruined. You can recover from a bad price - you can't recover ruined trust. I agree 100% with you styxical, but I think it's worth considering going to an exponentially decaying block reward, rather than halving every four years, if the same amount of coins are released over the same time period for the life of the coin, then it should help reduce inflation a bit immediately, but not really change anything long term. Also, since that would require a hard fork, maybe at the same time change algorithm and possibly implement the shark bite multipool thingamajig or some variant of it, such as block maturity time rather than block reward.

I'm buying more and more Vertcoin. Stealth Addresses, plus Anti ASIC, plus Vertverser so VTC can be spent wherever BTC can, is just revolutionary.
Oh wow, I looked into Vertcoin before but didn't hear about this until now. Is this feature active now, or in the future? If future, when is the ETA for this to be implemented? Should be active now, afaik: https://vertverser.com/

POS coins are starting to get exposed. Two coins in a week are talking rollback.
What is the other coin? Hope people will stop the hype about PoS and start working on innovation and not copy/paste coins without bringing anything new. I know there's some devs workings hard to help CC grow, vert's devs are included. Hope the hard working minority will surpass the masses of sheeps. yea, see previous post, bittrex got hacked or uncovered double spend for shit ton of navajo, the unbreakable code coin...so much for that moniker
