41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the bullrun??? on: June 23, 2024, 07:55:26 PM
I have studied about reading charts and I can't see a reason for believe that BTC will explode in short-term. I would like to know: What makes you think that will happen a bull run now? It is  a true need to learn about it.
The halving and bitcoin spot ETF in the United States are reasons why bitcoin price is going to pump very high, mind you as well that bitcoin is already in a bull run, for example if you look at the price movement in the last 6-12 months, you'd understand that we are indeed in a bull run and the price has been steadily increasing.

You should also DYOR on what you are curious about, and if you want to buy bitcoin, now is the right time to do it and DCA is the best strategy to apply. Finally, you should know that bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme nor a pump and dump coin.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is the serious use case of crypto to deal with your everyday needs on: June 23, 2024, 04:51:13 PM
When there is issues with banks and transactions also becouse of hacking and cyber attacks.
Then people need to use crypto there is reports that in many countries now cyber attacks.
So what options you have? You need to use crypto If you don't have you buy it with cash or you can borrow.
Your crypto can also be hacked and stolen. As long as you are on the internet, you are susceptible to such attacks and you might lose your money. There are many reasons why you might want to use bitcoin, to get away from centralization and control, and also to have your money in your non-custodial wallet, but you are going to still use fiat, that is what is mostly acceptable in every country.

Crypto is a broad term that includes altcoins, but i'd advice you to buy only bitcoin and not altcoins, and you must never borrow money to buy cryptocurrencies.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 22, 2024, 10:49:18 PM
Mbappè wants 100 milions from PSG for salaries and bonus.
Looks like things are going to end dirty between PSG and Real Madrid. I have a problem with how PSG operate as a club, they had different opportunities to sell Mbappe and make money off him, of which they refused, now that he has left to Real Madrid for free, they should swallow the difficult pill and allow everything to end on good terms.

Why are they owing him his salaries and bonuses for the month of April and May, and since they are owing him that, they're certainly not planning on paying him for June; it is all messy, and i think the best option is for the club to do the right thing by paying him, and then move on.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They will find someone to blame for their mistakes on: June 22, 2024, 10:21:01 PM
I think betting sites should not be allowed to include such bet. They should not just only be blaming the man. I see the betting site faults also. Why making people to bet on a result that someone set?
It is up to the betting site to decide if certain options should be made available on their platform or not, mind you that dates such as this one we are discussing is usually a top secret and i don't think the decision of fixing the date is done by one person, i am also certain that the betting site would close that betting option once the time to finally fix the data is approaching.

I don't think the bodyguard should have been arrested. Another thing similar is with footballers, they are not allowed to gamble and if they are found doing so, they'd be banned for a long time and fined too, but i don't think what happened is enough to arrest this bodyguard, it could be that he never had any inside knowledge on the fixed date and prolly he didn't know he is prohibited on gambling on that option.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe not good for business now Dubai safe heaven on: June 22, 2024, 09:36:17 PM
right now i Will put most of my money in Dubai currency and btc and Stable coins  Dubai now in the next few years Will be safe heaven
If you are going to put your money into stablecoins, i believe it's going to be USDT, so you're still putting your money into the U.S. dollars through that means, if you do not know.

Are you from the UAE? I do not want to fault what you believe, but be careful. If you are not from the UAE but you want convert most of your money to the UAE Dirham, then you must consider its stability compared to your own country's currency. That being said, i think instead of looking to put your money into another fiat currency, buy assets that can generate your profits, spread your money across different investments of varying risks and allow them grow for the next few years.
46  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Make Money in Crypto and not lose it as beginner on: June 22, 2024, 05:57:38 PM
2. Spot Trading :

3. Airdrop Farming:
Trading requires a lot of knowledge/skill, and i know "knowledge" is first on your list, but sometimes i tell beginners not to go into trading, even if they feel they have garnered knowledge for it. Better to start off investing in bitcoin for the long term using DCA method and if you are able to grow your investment, you might consider trading with a little part of your assets or profit.

That being said, the days of earning from airdrops are really far behind us, it is an uphill task to even find one that is legitimate and the returns are too small and a waste of time, i wouldn't advise newbies to waste their time with airdrops or faucets.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa America 2024 Prediction Thread on: June 21, 2024, 10:24:29 PM
I think talking about the winner too early just winning the first match its not guarantee get easily on second matches or knock out round match, Argentina need proof them self of next match and keep consistent take opportunity should be goals.
After the first game, it is hard to predict the winner of the tournament, but the world champions are favorites IMHO. Argentina has such an organized team, the unity in the team is unbelievable and it is like all of them are putting in their best for the star man Messi to win another international trophy.

There are also other tough teams that would trouble Argentina, like Brazil and Columbia. Vini Jr for Brazil also has something to prove in the international stage, he has been brilliant with Real Madrid, so now is the time to bring that form home, to his country, it's going to be an exciting tournament to watch.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigeria Premier League/Players Discussion Thread on: June 21, 2024, 09:56:40 PM
I found this link: https://scorenigeria.com.ng/revealed-the-5-shortlisted-foreign-coaches-for-super-eagles/

It published the 5 shortlisted foreign coaches that the NFF had on their list for appointment, i don't know if they are going to go ahead and appoint one of them, or if they are going to go for a local coach. Everything is confusing around the Nigerian national team right now and this uncertainty is going to further affect the players performances, they have to sort themselves out pretty fast and see if they can qualify for the world cup, the 2025 AFCON qualifiers is also set to start in a few months, so we must get things right very quickly.
49  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you consider this Bitcointalk forum as? on: June 21, 2024, 06:39:43 PM
but I wonder sometimes if it suits the demands of those who create more organized content and essays on other social media sites.
If you create crypto related content on social media and in other crypto forums, then of course you can share your content/essays here, if it can stir up discussions, this is a discussion forum, thus any quality discussion is welcomed in the forum.
*Is it possible that good contents can be dubbed from this forum, that is, is it a place where good contents can be coined out from by other creators, without any references to this forum?
If you take content that is not yours from this forum and post them somewhere else passing it off as yours, then that is plagiarism and it is a terrible thing to do. That being said, if you learn from this forum and you use that knowledge to post in other platforms, then it is a good thing, but if you take other people's content, then you have to acknowledge the original writer.
50  Economy / Reputation / Re: need a solution for the bad trust points on: June 21, 2024, 04:45:34 PM
Or he will create an account, make friends with members, earn merit point, make a position in the DT system. Will establish himself as a dedicated forum member. Then suddenly he will start asking for loans. He will start from small amounts. Slowly he will increase the stake. Once it will be enough to run away, he will simply scam. Haven't we seen it many times?
This isn't as easy as you say it and it takes a very long time to earn the status of an "established" user on bitcointalk or to achieve some of the things you mentioned. I get it that we have seen a lot of loan defaulters in the forum, but lenders have also learnt from it; and someone who comes into the forum with the intention of doing something like this would prolly never succeed.
51  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Reason people are so adamant to invest in Bitcoin on: June 20, 2024, 06:14:55 PM
What you mentioned is insightful, and I would add that a lot of religious people still believe that bitcoin is a bad currency that heralds the end of the world in which everyone will be able to use the same currency. For this reason, they are frightened to invest.
Lol, this is why quite a lot of people dey talk say religion is the bane of the masses and it causes people to be ignorant without question. I never really meet any person in real life wey talk say dem no wan use bitcoin because of their religion, but i know say e dey very possible, because some people do not get involved or use some aspects of science and technology because of their religious beliefs, so dem fit also avoid bitcoin for that same reason. I pity people who do such and i hope they quickly wake up and understand how crucial science and technology is to our existence.
52  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do the newbies gain the highily professional knowledge in the forum on: June 20, 2024, 06:04:34 PM
I don't know where you found these newbies with great bitcoin knowledge, a greater portion of newbies these days are nothing but knowledgeable about bitcoin nor the forum in general. Anyway, there are a few newbies who register in the forum, but have been bitcoiners for a longer time, they were prolly in other bitcoin forums, or they were reading in this forum without creating an account.

If i am to give you one advise, i'd say forget about what anyone else is doing and focus on your developing your own knowledge at your own pace.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your best casino review website. on: June 20, 2024, 05:03:12 PM
If you Google search, you'll find some casino review sites, i have not used them so i wouldn't link them here, as i do not know how reliable they are. Influencers/promoters also make videos about different casinos on Youtube and other platforms, though many of them are paid to advertise the casino, and they may be unable to provide an unbiased review.

Most of the online casinos i have ever played in, i got from this forum, it's easy for bitcointalk users to get casinos to gamble in, there are so many of them running their promotion in the forum, and you basically have to just DYOR and choose.
54  Economy / Reputation / Re: need a solution for the bad trust points on: June 20, 2024, 03:40:22 PM
how I can remove them and never do that mistake again ?!
You cannot remove feedbacks on your account, it is the user who put the feedback that can remove it. But in your case, there's no reason why those who left you negative feedbacks would remove it. You'll have to move on that way, and if you ever make a "name" for yourself in the forum (which i doubt), there might be a chance it could be removed or reversed to neutral in the future.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigeria Premier League/Players Discussion Thread on: June 20, 2024, 02:03:05 PM
But remember Victor Osimhen did not insult any fan or person but he said those who believed what Finidi George said are cursed and that means he didn't insult anyone and only those who believed the unqualified coach.
People can believe what they choose to believe, at least it was a one-sided story as of the time, your duty as a professional is to clear the air without throwing insults or vituperations, as a superstar, you are a role model and there are certain things you should not say or do in public.
You're yet to see the video but have taken a conclusion already? SMH! I find it irksome when the so called elderly, legends and superiors do not respect themselves. What do they say about it again? Respect is Reciprocal, Yes? Finidi George disrespected Victor Oshime despite knowing very well about the current status of the player as he was personally informed. Why go on to the media to still say such a thing?
Send me a link to the video if you have it! I said i haven't seen the full interview, because i know the media can take stories out of context and report with clickbaits, this isn't a matter of taking sides, i have no personal interest in the squabble.
I wonder why y'all judge cases these way. Something was aid to trigger the lad, you can't fight your players outside as a manager, did you see Erik Ten Hag and Pep Guardiola come online to do such?
I am judging nothing here, i am only being objective. Erik Ten Hag and Pep made disparaging comments about Sancho and Kalvin Phillips respectively, the comments were made openly in their press conference. If truly Finidi said what the media reported, then he was also out of order, but i would like to watch it myself, so share the video please!
Screw the Nigerian Football Federation, how many cases have they helped? If they intend doing such, fine. Personally, I will not apologize until Finidi who disrespected me first tender an apology either publicly or personally. I know my right ad a human being and player and if  it means for me to stand alone on my ground, them so be it.
Reports have it that Finidi has called Osimhen to clear the air after his unsavory attacks in that infamous Instagram live, so the right thing for Victor to do now is to retract his statements and apologize, like a professional that he is.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigeria Premier League/Players Discussion Thread on: June 19, 2024, 05:39:43 PM
What is your opinion of what is happening in the Super Eagles with Osimhen, Finidi and NFF. And from what I read today NFF said, what Osimhen did was not automatically bad because Finidi started the drama.
I am yet to see any video or watch the interview were Finidi George said those things about Osimhen, i am not saying he didn't say it, all i am saying is why am i yet to see the video, because i believe he was taken out of context, please if you have the video, send me the link.

That being said, even if we agree Finidi did indeed say that, Osimhen's actions were wrong and unprofessional, we have seen managers throw their players under the bus, Erik Ten Hag did it with Sancho, when he accused him of training poorly, Pep also did it with Kalvin phillips, when he said he was overweight, etc, the players didn't come out with an outburst, saying so many unprintable words and insulting both the manager and the fans, just as Victor did. The NFF have said today that Victor Osimhen would be banned and i support that, at least until he tenders an apology to his former manager and to Nigerians in general.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The real winning of gambling is withdrawals on: June 19, 2024, 04:24:51 PM
I decided to create this topic to see how other people manage their winning in gambling.
One way is to withdraw what you won minus the amount you staked, for example if you staked $10 and you won $100, from your winnings you can withdraw $90, and leave $10 in the casino for future games you'd like to gamble on. That being said, even if you feel you would like to increase your staking strength, using the previous example, you can easily withdraw $50 and leave $50 in the casino, increasing your staking amount in the process, it's still a win-win for you.
58  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Where and how to buy bitcoin in 2024. on: June 19, 2024, 04:16:32 PM
E still get a few exchanges in Nigeria wey person go fit buy bitcoin, bybit is one of them and there are a lot of Nigerian traders in those platforms, there are also decentralized exchanges wey you fit buy bitcoin, you just have to DYOR about it.

That being said, there are also reputable vendors who buy and sell cryptocurrencies, but one has to be careful in choosing which of them to trade with, as there are a lot of scammers posing as crypto vendors. If your friend wey won buy buy bitcoin no dey this forum, you fit connect am with brainboss wey dey offer currency exchange trading too.
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Out of prides, investors endangers themselves. on: June 19, 2024, 01:36:11 PM
I don't think this topic fits in the Speculation board, i don't know where it even fits, maybe in beginners and help, maybe.
While we all thrives on our Bitcoin investments regarding its  lucrativeness
I don't think "lucrative" is the appropriate word to use, when you want to introduce Bitcoin to people. Buying bitcoin isn't a business, and you can send the wrong message to people if you tell them that 'bitcoin is lucrative". That being said, it is a bad decision to tell people about your bitcoin hodlings and make yourself vulnerable to their attacks.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Inflation and Deflation the Worst Economic Threats? on: June 19, 2024, 01:11:06 PM
Inflation is not entirely bad, a high level of inflation is bad, but if inflation is at a low level, it is okay for the economy. I have read from numerous articles that deflation is worse than inflation, though to some people who are looking at it subjectively, it is not possible, but it actually is, if the prices of goods and services is reducing and the value of money is rising, it basically means people are not spending money, but rather are hodling onto it; this would drive so many companies out of business and cause serious unemployment.

That being said, it is now up to each and every country to find the balance, and that is were some do it better than others, and that's why we have healthy economies, and some that are in a terrible state.
