621  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Huge Amount of BTC on: November 17, 2023, 11:39:23 AM
Just want to how one goes about selling huge about of BTC, I'm talking like 200BTC for a 6/3 discount. Any help or advice will help me out for sure , looking for buyers preferably private buyers that are ready to buy, let me know what you guys think
You are looking for private buyers to trade 200 Bitcoins with you, not that it is any business of mine, but it is suspicious that you can own that amount in Bitcoin and yet have little to no knowledge of Bitcoin and how to trade it.

If i stop being paranoid and agree you actually have 200 Bitcoins, then trading it outside of an exchange, without any escrow is very risky, what is the assurance that the buyer would send you the money after you have sent them your coins. The thing to do here is to divide your coins into smaller amounts and sell them in an exchange. If i were you i'd be wary of private messages i would receive after this post, and to the community, sending OP a private message might also be risky, cause they seem suspicious.

But I hope all of these players can recover until then. Otherwise this situation will surely interrupt Ange Postecoglou's system as well.
The injuries are piling up, not just for Spurs, but for most of the clubs in the league, especially the big clubs that most of their players represent their national team on international duty. Ange has lost two straight games now, and if they lose another important player, it would mean they are in serious trouble. After the Singapore match, Son said that he is fine and that he didn't pick up any injury, hopefully that's true and he is fit to face Aston Villa after the international break.

City is another team with a growing injury list, a couple of City players were not picked to play for their country, even though they were called-up, and it is because of Injury, Haaland also took a knock in Norways game against Faroe Island yesterday, and further tests have to be made to see if he'll be fit to face Liverpool after the international break. Until this enormous fixture schedule is looked into, players would continue to get injured, the number of games is way too much.
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 16, 2023, 09:33:23 PM
Of course Manchester City is not alone in challenging for the Premier League title this season. Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are also on the same path as Manchester City although I fully believe that Manchester City have the best chance of securing it. I found them leading the standings, so normally it would be difficult for another team to knock them out of the top spot.
City are at the summit of the table, but they lead by only one point, and another team can take top spot in the next few weeks. Being on top of the table now is great, but there are still so many games to play and quite a lot of things can happen, i expect the team on the summit of the table to change quite a few times before the end of the season.

City are very consistent when we get to the crucial part of the season, that's the time that if they go top, it is almost impossible to take the lead from them, and that's because they go on long winning runs. I also expect City to win the title, but do not expect them to top the league from now until the end.

Bro, the security measures are quite good but don't forget that there are many ways to kill a bird. You can take all these precaution, meet at a place, and successfully exchange your funds. And these robbers will trail you home to know your address, and then pay you a visit another day at your home to drain your wallets.
Remember that you can be robbed anywhere too, you can withdraw cash from an ATM machine and immediately get robbed or followed back to your home, you can step right out of a bank and robbers would be waiting to follow you home, there are a million and one ways you can get robbed. There are quite a lot of Bitcoiners who have had face to face trades without encountering any problem, so let us not make it sound like a trap when one opts to do face to face trades.

That being said, you must be careful and do your own due diligence. Do not trade a large sum in Bitcoin when doing in person trades and do not use addresses that hodl a large balance, trade in a public place, come with a friend, hang around with your friend in a different location before heading home, and the chances of anything going wrong will be slim to none.
625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much safe Electrum 2FA is? on: November 15, 2023, 08:02:25 PM
If you are concerned about your privacy and do not want to be known electrum is best for you because electrum wallet does not ask you for yours personal information. If you use Electrum your information and your privacy will not be changed and people will not know about yours...
Electrum is a non-custodial wallet, so there is obviously nothing like kyc, but you can lose information about yourself even without submitting kyc, for instance, you have to run your own node or electrum server, if not your ip and Bitcoin addresses can be seen by the server that your wallet connects to, and so that information about you will be known to that node and you lose privacy.
So I suggested the software wallet which is the safest one because in this software only your seed will be saved offline and make sure that your PC will never connect to the internet. If you are willing to follow my instructions you need to do some more research about it.
The seed phrase in your electrum wallet would only be offline if you use the electrum software in an air-gapped device, and that might be a little bit technical for the OP to pull off, for offline storage, a hardware wallet might be an easier option for newcomers.

There is nothing wrong with trading crypto face to face, i hear that people say you can be robbed, but you can be robbed anywhere, at anytime, you can be robbed just right after coming out of your home, or when you are leaving the gym, hell, you can even be robbed right inside your own home.

I would not tell people to avoid face to face trades, what i'd tell them is to follow certain precautions: do not meet random people on social media and meet up with them for a face to face trade, you will definitely be robbed. Use a decentralized exchange like Bisq to set up face to face trades, (the funds would be locked in the 2 of 2 multisignature address before you meet your trading peer) and then you should meet in a public/busy place, you can also go along with a friend and don't give away anything personal to your trading partner.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 15, 2023, 03:53:32 PM
City will be desperate and will be aiming to win the match for a change but Liverpool are not an easy opponent at all.
City v Liverpool has been a match to look out for in recent years, and this one will be no different, last season Liverpool were not in the title race, but thus far this season, they are making a claim to be title contenders, but it is still early to conclude if they can take the title away from Manchester City.

Liverpool would want to make a loud statement by beating the champions, but the match is at the Etihad and City have made their home a fortress, thus i don't think Liverpool can win; my prediction for this one is City to either win or draw.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: November 14, 2023, 11:03:01 PM
Altcoins are generally short term projects, i have been saying this for a very long time now. Due to their pump and dump nature, you should not buy and hodl altcoins for the long term, if you do so, you'd only end up being a bagholder. If you must buy altcoins, you have to target the short term/quick profits, buy when the price is low and sell immediately you make ROI, and if you are unable to sell at that time, and the altcoin starts dumping, you had better sold it and cut your losses, instead of bagholding it. Nonetheless, you can make ROI when you invest in altcoins, but it is akin to gambling, because you can't be sure which one will pump and if it will be sustainable even if it does.
629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 14, 2023, 08:55:57 PM
Pep Guardiola had difficulty finding the right player to replace the injured De Bruyne, so he often rotated one player with another for the same purpose.
City are definitely missing the creativity of Kevin De Bruyne, what he brings to this City side makes him somewhat indispensable, but huge praise must go to Julian Alvarez, he is the player who has replaced KDB in the team, playing behind the striker (Erling Haaland), and he has been doing exceptionally well. I know he is not close to being as creative as KDB, but he is such a wonderful player and he has helped  City not to miss KDB as much as they would have if he (Alvarez) wasn't in the team.

Footballers are getting injured quite often these days and it is because of the enormous amount of games they are made to play every season, with little to no break; it is so exhausting, and the people fixing these games have to look into this. These players are also humans and it is not just about the money that the footballing bodies want to make.
630  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: November 14, 2023, 09:56:57 AM
OP clearly talk am for the op say any accelerator wey dey ask for fee, is possibly scam...
This is partly correct, it is good to avoid any accelerator that requests for accelerating fee, especially when it is not run by a mining pool, but it does not mean that all paid transaction accelerators are scams, for instance ViaBTC has its free and paid service and you choose the one you want to use, but ViaBTC isn't a scam, but actually one of the few working transaction accelerators, if not the only one.
631  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: November 14, 2023, 09:28:26 AM
https://pushtx.net/  i use personaly
Me i no trust this transaction accelerator oh, them talk say them dey cooperate with Bitcoin mining pools, but them no gree tell us which of the Bitcoin mining pools them they cooperate with, them they also talk time wey the transaction wey you sumbit fit dey confirmed, but we know say person no fit predict the mempool or wetin go happen, especially when dem no get their own pool, so e no make sense to me.

This accelerator no dey free, you go pay money, even though i no know the exact amount, e better say you just use RBF take push your transaction, than for you to pay for transaction acceleration, and so many of these services wey dey talk say dem dey accelerate transactions dey lie, them go just dey rebroadcast your transaction, and that one no be acceleration.
632  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: November 13, 2023, 09:41:30 PM
using viabtc is secured, fast and free in moments where the transaction fee is getting higher.
ViaBTC free accelerator dey very good and the thing dey help person to save fees, but you can't say it is "fast" because it depends on when ViaBTC go mine their next block after you don submit your transaction ID successfully. Wetin i mean be say, you fit dey lucky say once you submit your transaction ID successfully, ViaBTC go mine the next block or a few blocks later, but you fit also dey "unlucky" and you have to wait for hours before dem mine their next block.

But over all ViaBTC dey very good, if your transaction size no pass 500 bytes and you use up to 18 sat/vbyte, no need to leave your transaction stuck in the mempool, just submit am to their free accelerator and wait.

A proper Chelsea fan will say yes to Victor Osimhen if he choose Chelsea over Man United. The players they have in attack are not good as Osimhen.
Every club in Europe would wish to have Victor Osimhen in their team, he is a young and prolific striker, but i don't think he should go to Chelsea, they are still rebuilding their team in order to return to their previous position as one of the best teams in Europe, right now they are far from being contenders for any title, neither are they even in the CL (nor sure to qualify for the next one). The same thing with Manchester United, these clubs are struggling, and BTW they both have strikers in Nkunku and Hojlund respectively.

That being said, i'd love it for Victor Osimhen to join Real Madrid, they have not replaced Benzema and he could be that replacement, joining Real Madrid would take his career to another level and if they actually come for him, i don't think there is any chance in hell that he would say no.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 13, 2023, 06:57:31 PM
Of course, we cannot be sure who will qualify for the final because the group stage is not over yet. Some teams that stand out are worthy of being favorites, but regarding betting, I really believe that all teams are at risk of failing to win, so bettors must consider the risks wisely.
It is definitely not possible to be sure who will win the CL, if it was possible we'd all send the bookies parking, lol. The thing is, the strongest teams would be amongst the favorites to win the trophy and thus they'd get a lower odd. City are prolly the strongest of the lot, and i would not bet against them retaining their CL trophy, i can't see any team stopping them.

That being said, it is still a prediction and i could be completely wrong, that's why gamblers are always advised to gamble responsibly, so you don't gamble with what you cannot afford to lose.
635  Economy / Reputation / Re: Forum Loan defaulters: What is the best way forward? on: November 13, 2023, 06:42:52 PM
and the main reason why I created this thread, because if we all keep mute, not only are these defaults likely to damage  themselves, but our entire forum community at large, and as such we all need to come up with best possible solutions to address this menace, in other for lenders to be able to determine who is and who is not eligible to get a loan, so as to drastically reduce the rate at which people default for loan, while we maintain the integrity this forum has always got once day one.
The integrity of the forum isn't in question here, forum lenders and users' who borrow enter an agreement between themselves, it has nothing to do with the forum or its integrity, nor can it damage the community (as you say).

Each lender has their own set of rules, you can only advise them to tighten their rules, but you can't enforce it, so technically "we" cannot address this issue. That being said, it is sad to see that quite a lot of forum lenders have been scammed over the years, in their bid to assist users' in this forum. The thing is, no matter the rules set by a lender, it is still possible for one to default, but tightening their rules would reduce the chances of it happening.
636  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to cash out the money from electrum on: November 13, 2023, 05:00:24 PM
Electrum is a Non-custodial wallet where you can safely hold your bitcoin because when you have done the creation a wallet thete you got a private key. and that key will help you to  access your bitcoin and that key is not possible to hack by any hackers.
It is not impossible for your assets to be hacked in any wallet, including electrum, there are wallets that are safer than others, but you cannot say that you are 100% secure and your funds cannot be hacked. Mind you that Electrum is an online wallet, and if you use an online wallet, there is a higher possibility that you could be hacked because the device that you keep your assets is connected to the internet.
for this you have to take help of a centralized exchange like binance then transfer your btc to Binance and sell it on p2p
You can trade your assets in a centralized exchange, but i want to point out that if you wat to trade peer to peer, you cannot do that in a centralized exchange, but in a decentralized exchange.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 12, 2023, 08:03:27 PM
Manchester City I have to be honest, their 4th goal was just lucky and most likely the draw is the most fair result for that game,it also showed that Manchester City is not invincible and that both Liverpool and Arsenal have real chances to win the title this year.
To be fair a draw was prolly the best result, neither team deserved to lose. I actually do not like to call goals lucky, Rodri hit the ball at goal and it took a big deflection off Thiago Silva, if they didn't put Chelsea under pressure there, they would not have gotten that goal. City haven't been invincible this season, because they have already lost two games (against Wolves and Arsenal) before today's match, what City have under their belt is experience in winning this league, of course Arsenal and Liverpool are both contenders for the title, but City are the favorites, they know how to get the job done and i would bet on them to do it again.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 12, 2023, 11:00:21 AM
Wolves regularly take points from top teams, which means that this is not an easy team and they are ready to fight to the end. Tottenham believed in their victory too early and this became the reason for their defeat. They are still in the championship race, nothing has changed, but it is important that this does not become a turning point for them and that a decline does not follow.
Molineux is a very tough ground to play in and it is so difficult to beat Wolves when they play there, their crowd are always behind them, making so much noise, and this gives Wolves more reasons to perform well. Wolves have beaten City, Spurs and Manchester United this season, which is an outstanding feat, and that's why they are 11th on the table with 15 points.

As for Spurs, it is two straight defeats after staying unbeaten for 10 games in the EPL, i think the bubble has finally burst for Spurs, they have so many important players either injured or suspended, and i think they are going on a downward spiral from now.
639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you avoid scammers? on: November 12, 2023, 05:46:28 AM
Just as what I have used on my title I want to know the possible ways to avoid scammer and phishing sites because I have came to understand that for one to excel in this forum and in bitcoin investment / holding at large, one needs to be very mindful with the ways we click on sites, where we store our funds and the techniques scammers often use to scam beginners like us.
Mind you that scammers do not only target your cryptocurrencies, they basically want to steal from you, whether it is your crypto, fiat and other precious stuffs; so you generally have to protect yourself from scammers. Anyway crypto is a tool that most scammers enjoy to use because if they are shrewd, it'd be hard to trace them.

That being said, in order to protect your Bitcoin from scammers, you should keep it offline, if your Bitcoin is kept in an online computer, you are definitely going to use that device to browse and click on random links and you can't be certain if those links are safe or not. Thus you have to buy a hardware wallet for your Bitcoin and also watch out for different forms of social engineering that scammers use, like Bitcoin doubling giveaway, fake earning flatforms, etc.
640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to cash out the money from electrum on: November 11, 2023, 10:38:22 PM
Even if you use a mixing service on TOR, the Electrum server you will connect in order to be able to send your BTCs to the mixer, will see your IP address, so you need to trust it unfortunately.
You don't have to trust third party/intermediary nodes when you use electrum, thus you can connect your electrum wallet to your own full node and not that of a third party, so you can manage your transactions and assets.
1. Always backup your private key.
2. Enable other security such as 2FA.
HD wallets now make backing up more user-friendly because of seed phrases; don't back up private keys but just your seed phrase that you can use to generate all the keys. Lastly, i prefer a multi-signature wallet to a 2FA wallet.
