201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 23, 2024, 04:21:41 PM
NEWS LFC injury update:
This is a very detailed report on Liverpool's injury situation right now, thanks for sharing. I don't think Jurgen Klopp would want to take any risks with the players who are struggling, the Carabao cup is prolly the last on their list, in terms of importance and they would definitely go for it with the players that are fit and available. It would be worse if they risk a player like Mo for example, and worsen his situation, now that the EPL is entering its most crucial stage.

Having said that, Chelsea is a very erratic team, they take two steps forward and take many more backwards, so even if they played well in their game against City a week ago, i still think Liverpool should be able to defeat them even with this injury crisis.
202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Withdrawing profits from Coinbase? on: February 23, 2024, 03:26:30 PM
Do we really think anything bad is going to happen to Coinbase?
Nobody here can you tell you what will happen to any centralized exchange, so many of them have failed in the past and if the people who lost their money knew the exchanges were going to fail, they would have moved their money out. If anything happens to Coinbase, i'm afraid you will find out when you have already lost your money.
If it does then the whole market will go down and there will be limited bull run.
The whole market might definitely go down and the price of Bitcoin and other coins might fall, but it would only be temporary, after some time, the price will bounce back and return to the normal order of things.
203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 23, 2024, 12:37:47 PM
Next match, Manchester City will face Bournemouth and have keep get three points if won't loss their 2nd standings position taken by Arsenal, in other side three points achievement help them keep pressure Liverpool on the top standings if win upcoming match.
Every match from now on is a must win for the title contenders, but especially for City and Arsenal that are 4 and 5 points behind Liverpool respectively. Liverpool's 4-1 victory over Luton Town ensures they stay on top, notwithstanding what happens this weekend, considering the fact that they would be on Carabao cup duties.

Having said that, Bournemouth would be another tough proposition for City, they are finding it pretty difficult to break teams down these days, unlike Arsenal and Liverpool who seem to be scoring goals for fun recently. If City don't improve, they might fail to retain the title.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 23, 2024, 11:43:37 AM
This january Arsenal have been linked to several players just like Joshua Zirkzee and Ivan Toney but none of them who bought by Arsenal seems Arteta has telling the truth that last month he said Arsenal won't but new striker this January because they have not enough money to bought the player
We are in February, so the transfer window for January closed a long time ago, many English clubs didn't do business in January, not only Arsenal, clubs prefer to do business in the summer, because they have enough time to monitor the players they want to sign and negotiate with their clubs. Having said that, Arsenal definitely couldn't get Ivan Toney in January, he was just coming back from his lengthy ban due to betting and Brentford would never have sold then, but this summer i think they would come for him, and there is a high chance they'll get him.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 22, 2024, 10:36:05 PM
If Arsenal should be able to get a sharp attacker like Vampersie of those days, then they must have gotten a complete squad.
Arsenal would go into the transfer market for a striker this summer, there are rumors that they might try to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford. Thomas Frank has already said it would be nearly impossible to keep Toney at the team after the end of the seadom, though Arsenal might have to pay a huge amount of money if they are to get Toney.

Having said that, i don't think Arsenal should be too desperate for a striker, they have been scoring a lot of goals in the EPL lately, and if they are scoring nobody talks about a new striker, but on a day that they don't score, everyone talks about recruiting a new striker.
206  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: FG benefiting from dollar rise against naira, Ndume alleges on: February 22, 2024, 10:17:46 PM
Maybe dem dey gain from all the money wey dem been steal, come convert am to dollars and kept it in foreign banks and other places, maybe na wetin Ndume dey talk, because if he is trying to say the government they make money wey dem go use make country better from this inflation, then that one na big lie.

Having said that, our government no ready, wetin dem like to do na to go after temporary solutions and continue to dey make bad policies. If dem no begin look into the real cause of this economic crisis, then things go just continue to dey get worst.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 22, 2024, 08:38:57 PM
Since there are some speculation posts here that Klopp could perhaps take over as coach of FC Bayern directly after his time at Liverpool, his agent made it clear again today that this will definitely not be the case. He will also not be taking over a national team after the European Championships for the time being.
Jurgen Klopp already made it clear that he will be taking a break when he made the announcemnet on his exit, all these speculations that he would prolly join Bayern at the end this season, and replace Tuchel who would be leaving the club at the same time, are all false, Jurgen said he didn't have the strength to go again, so he will definitely be getting some rest after the end of this season.

Having said that, i know Liverpool have enough time to plan their recruitment for a new manager, but Klopp's decision to leave the club is going to affect them greatly and it would be almost impossible to replace him.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 22, 2024, 07:56:13 PM
I hope Liverpool gets most of their players back before against the City, and stay fit until the end of the season.
They need their injured players back, but not just only for the City game; but to stay on the summit, because if they lose games against other opponents and beat City, it would not help their quest for the EPL title. Liverpool are missing quite a lot of their quality players right now through injury and they are in four competitions, if they don't get some of them back as soon as possible, it could have a negative impact on them, especially in the EPL.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 22, 2024, 06:57:47 PM
Napoli BArcelona was a game were nobody knows what can happen , the current situation of both teams is pretty bad, so a draw is a fair output for both,
Yes, i think a draw is a fair result for both teams, obviously the two teams are not in their best form right now, neither are they playing their best football, thus this tie is going to be decided on fine margins. Having said that, the reverse fixture is in Barcelona's home, though they are not particularly strong at home this season, but they at least have the home advantage, if i am to predict the team that would progress to the QF, i'd go with Barcelona, though if they eventually qualify, i don't think they'd go past the QF stage.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 21, 2024, 05:14:36 PM
Man city are not capable of winning the champions league back to back. They would lose to weaker team in this champions league campaign
I don't know why you think City cannot win back to back EPL titles, i mean, there is no complacency in the team at all, and Pep always gets his players fired up to win more trophies, notwithstanding how many trophies they have won in the past. Looking at all the teams that are in the CL right now, i think City have to be the favorites imo, they are stronger than all the teams and it would be so difficult to beat them in a two leg fixture. If City don't face Real Madrid until the final, then my prediction would be a City v Madrid final, and it would be a joy to watch.
211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 21, 2024, 12:48:23 PM
Personally, I believe that no matter how much its value continues to rise, it will not exceed $100,000, and the market has returned to the heart of expectations, where its value may fall again.
You are absolutely entitled to your own opinion and prediction, but i completely disagree with your prediction that Bitcoin would not exceed $100k. If you say $1m, then i might say we have to wait and see what would happen in the long run and you might be right if future events do not go in favor of the Bitcoin network, but as for $100k, i think we would exceed this amount as early as this year or next.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remarkably, how would you rate your past AltCoins price and now? on: February 20, 2024, 10:49:12 PM
During the time of ICO's, quite a lot of people made money through altcoins, though a lot of people also lost money and were scammed, but altcoin projects were very popular at that time and people could make money from them "easily". I would not say i was one of such people who made money from that period, because i have always had interest only for Bitcoin and i have never had any regret for doing so. That "ICO" period is long gone and right now most of what we have is scam projects and pump and dump coins, people still make money from altcoins today, but the risk is very high and it is now almost like gambling.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 20, 2024, 09:37:44 PM
That was a very important victory for City, it didn't come in the way most City fans would have loved it to, but the 3 points is what matters most for Pep and his boys, and this win takes them to 2nd position, just one point behind Liverpool. This title race promises to be a very interesting one, Liverpool and Arsenal are currently in better form than City and if Pep's men are going to win their fourth EPL title in a row, then they have some improving to do, and i am pretty sure Pep knows that, their next fixture is an away game at Bournemouth and that as well would not be an easy game.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: China are back to mining Bitcoin. on: February 20, 2024, 07:19:18 PM
It's interesting to see how China, a country with a large and influential economy, is revising its policy regarding cryptocurrency mining.
China has not rescinded its ban on Bitcoin mining, i know that there are prolly a few Bitcoin miners who are operating low-key in China, but the government's stance on mining is still extant. China have banned a lot of things relating to Bitcoin and crypto down the years, though some of these bans have been confusing to me, and i don't fully understand the extent to which they enforce them.
my question?. Is the china government now encouraging it's people to mining of cryptocurrency (Bitcoin)?. Will this Bitcoin add to their economy development because I see something like 10% of all miner revenue. It says it is important giving the coming Bitcoin halving event.
There is no record of the Chinese government encouraging or supporting mining, neither have they rescinded their ban on it. Having said that, any sort of revenue from mining would be inconsequential to a fast growing economy like that of China.
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: February 19, 2024, 09:31:15 PM
It is Clear that bitcoin will be the only Currency for payments
Like there will be no Cash or VISA
I don't know what makes you think it is clear that this will happen, because it wouldn't. The number of people using Bitcoin worldwide is still pretty small, now compare it to people using fiat and other traditional means of payment, you'd figure out that it is impossible for Bitcoin to take over these payments systems, not that it was created to even do that.

Having said that, i don't know if Bitcoin would ever rise as high as $1m, it could happen but that would be in the long run and when the population using Bitcoin increases significantly.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where did u put your Money ? on: February 19, 2024, 09:23:24 PM
You could basically still buy quite a lot of these "low-priced" coins and still buy worthless and scam coins, mind you that it is almost impossibe to predict the potential of most new projects, more often than not they end up as pump and dump coins and only those who were lucky enough to by early would make ROI.
But i wonder on which coin you have more % invested ?
Bitcoin only, i don't really believe in altcoins and i think they are mostly for short term investment.
217  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why you might miss out on the bull run while holding on: February 19, 2024, 05:17:39 PM
I no dey even buy altcoins, but i know say plenty investors dey like buy altcoins and e no too bad if dem understand wetin dem dey do, most altcoins no dey get utility and if dem rise small, the next thing na to dump and that is usually the end of the coin. If you get altcoins for your portfolio, make sure you sell am as soon as you make ROI, if you hodl am for too long, the coin fit begin dump, and you go end up as bagholder. If you wan dey on the safe side, na to buy only Bitcoin oh, wey get utility and if you must buy altcoins, make sure say na only small wey you buy and no too put am money.

The most appropriate place for Mbappe is Madrid. that's what I see. but there is also news regarding Liverpool and Man City also approaching Mbappe's agent.
Real Madrid are in pole position to sign Mbappe, but in football anything can happen, sometimes when it is almost certain a player is heading in one direction, we have seen them hijacked by another team, and it could happen this time. Both City and Liverpool are perfect destinations for Mbappe, since he is definitely taking a cut in his wages, then they can definitely afford him. Mbappe has also held small talks with Liverpool in the past and he has also disclosed that his mum is a Liverpool supporter, so maybe there is a chance. Grin

Having said that, the only problem these clubs might have with Mbappe is his attitide and when he joins any of them, he definitely has to work on it, for example, if he plays for Real Madrid, he must understand that it is a different environment from PSG, and no player is bigger than the Madrid team, but this is just a trivial thing that i'm pretty sure the player will work on.
219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust your old wallet of when u had no Crypto knowledge on: February 19, 2024, 02:47:50 PM
Well honestly all my wallets(more than six) has been hacked as i saved phrase in Gmail where hackers got access.
Sorry you had to lose your money to these hacks, but at least you learnt an invlauable lesson not to keep your seed phrase online, and that includes your email account, once your email account is hacked, your money in your wallet would be stolen. You should only make offline backups.
One thing I practice most times for security is that, I try as possible not to use the same wallet for a long time, because creating a new online wallet is easy.
Doing this does not increase your security, i think you should move your money to a new wallet if think you have made a mistake that can possibly lead to your wallet being compromised, other than that, if you are using your wallet safely, there is no need to change it regularly.

Now, if Manchester City manages to win the postponed match against Brentford then the points gap between the top 3 teams will only be 1 each. Liverpool still leads 1 point ahead of Manchester City, as well as Manchester City and Arsenal. The pressure between the teams is increasing, it will be a very interesting season.
Very interesting, to say the least, it is obviously now a three horse race between City, Arsenal and Liverpool. City have a must win game against Brentford on Tuesday, they have to win that game to stay firmly in the title race. City's form against the big teams have been far from impressive and they have to improve on that before their second leg games against Liverpool and Arsenal.

Having said that, Pep and City deserve an awful amount of credit for their consistency, having won the EPL three times in a row, they still have the determination to go again and challenge for their fourth consecutive title. Whatever happens this season, they can definitely hold their head high, even though i still believe they will be champions again.
