401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to pay $8200 for 1 BTC if you are a newbie? on: November 27, 2017, 06:21:57 AM
Is bitcoin still a good investment for newbies? Is it worth to pay almost $8200 for 1 BTC today?

Hi there Bit4UTeam! I suppose the term “newbie” means newcomer in cryptocurrency trading or investment and not just in a forum rank. Let me ask you a couple questions; first, does the money that you will invest is not needed in the few more months? Does the money that you will invest is your extra cash and not from a loan? Do you know where and when to buy and sell your bitcoins? If you could say yes to those statements I think it is fine to invest. However, if you say no to one of those conditions especially the first two you better buy less than .1 BTC for you to learn and explore first.  Wink
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fork in December on: November 26, 2017, 03:45:12 PM
There are continuing rumors about another bitcoin hardfork on December. If this happen, will bitcoin go for another all-high time or may suffer another big crash this time.

Hi there jonaire99! There are indeed so many news and articles about the new bitcoin fork, and this time they called it silver fork. Are they really mean a eating utensil silver fork? Lol, website like cryptocoin mastery, coin telegraph mention this fork but the merkle and other sources confirm that this is just a fake news generated by some investor to give time to buy low and sell high their possessions. One thing that I think this is a fake new is the lack of supporting information like the developers, investors and even open source fork from github is missing. A couple of advice, if in doubt, hurry and invest in ANGEL TOKEN, it provides 690% bonus which you could not get in other ICO alone in a month.  Wink
403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: November 26, 2017, 03:20:51 PM
Since the total number of bitcoin is fixed, so the value of bitcoin will keep grow, and it's price will keep grow also. So will there a price cap for bitcoin?

Hi there summer209! It is really hard to define forever. Currently, there are still millions of bitcoin to be mined thus it is not “fixed” based on your idea. I think there is no such thing as price cap of bitcoin especially if you are talking about forever. The price will keep bumping up and down but heading through the north. Most of the people nowadays still no or little idea about the bitcoin conversely establishment still did not use it as a form of legal tender thus we could say that it is still in early stage and a huge potential price hike could happen.   Wink
404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Reaches 9000 USD on: November 26, 2017, 02:49:18 PM
Bitcoin recently reached 9000 USD price.

What do we expect next? A small price correction before hardfork in december before reaching 10,000 USD?

Share your ideas

Hi there rommelzkie! Let me share my idea and prophecy that bitcoin will hit $10,000 before this year end. Why? Because based on historical data. Last year there is a ten percent price increase form the month of November to December and if this same phenomenon happened the current $9,000 price plus a ten percent could conclude a loud and clear $10,000 result. You are right about the frequent up and down swings of price and price correction, they are essential to neutralize the situation and price to gain more momentum for another round to increase. And there could be a few more correction about to happen before it reaches its target.    Wink
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest in bitcoin on: November 26, 2017, 01:24:40 PM
why invest in bitcoin when u can invest in real stocks market?

Hi there MrYan! The real stock is a good investment and since the company is physical exist you could tell your friends that you have shared in the ownership of a company. And these shares could be some assets or earnings.  Other company even give dividends and bonuses which return a considerable amount of money. But, even there is no dividend, no bonus and no actual company, cryptocurrency like the bitcoin yields a huge increase of price some even say it surpasses the most traded stock in the US stock market. And the good thing is that the price keeps on going on mostly bull and recover from bearing in a fast rate.  Wink
406  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the peak of this bull run? on: November 26, 2017, 12:39:02 PM
Look at the history of btc, shares whatever, they pretty much follow a steady long term growth rate.
However, there are always peaks and troughs on the way.
At the moment btc is way ahead of the long term trend and there is no way that this can be sustained based on historical correction. That doesn't mean it's going to happen now but it's very likely too soon.
I'm seeing an awful lot of similarity to when we approached $1000. Every one getting excited, almost everyone hyping the market and nobody wanting to miss the big $1k. And then we broke through that and we thought the sky is the limit. I think what followed was a sudden realisation that this was all on hype and not organic growth and as soon as it dips it snowballs as people want to make sure they get out while they are still in profit.
I might be wrong but I see the same thing happening here today, we are being drawn to $10k on excitement.
So I expect to see us smash through $10k perhaps even $11k or $12k followed by a big fall, maybe down to $2k if past performance is any guide.
Does anyone else see this?

Hi there coinycoiny! You got a lot of question and presumptions there. Let me answer first your main question in a simple answer there is a big chance to hit 10k before 2017 ends. Why? Because as what you said, based on historical data. Last year there is a 10% price increase form the month of November to December and if this same phenomenon happened the current 9k price plus a ten percent could conclude a 10k result. You are right about the frequent up and down swings of price. As you could notice in the market relative strength index when the price goes up the RSI signals an overbought market which then eventually followed by sudden price dumps. Most of the people will wish to make the price low so that they could buy again and sell when the price breakout again.  Hope I help a little.  Wink
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an altcoin on: November 22, 2017, 07:01:48 AM
There were many cryptocurrencies before Bitcoin.
Therefore Bitcoin is an altcoin - and will also be beaten by another altcoin, just as it did itself.
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/quick-history-cryptocurrencies-bbtc-bitcoin-1397682630/

Hi there freightjoe! Indeed there is a cryptocurrency before, and they called it ecash created by David Chum. There are even articles validating from Wikipedia and other website about the existence of the process of sending, receiving an electronic form of cash. Bitcoin on the other hand, use the same crypto technology combined with blockchain technology plus the ability to create a new form of currency through mining and helping the whole decentralized network.
The misconception is the word “altcoin”. When people said altcoin, they are refereeing to the cryptocurrency ALTernative of bitCOIN. Thus, if bitcoin is not created there could be no such word such as altcoin.  Wink
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2017, 04:53:51 PM
What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?

Hi there nidacoinlove! I think this statement of yours “the price fall is more than the rise" is opposite what is currently happening. As I review back the bitcoin price from January up to this date, it shows that only the month of March returns negative price change, most of the month has a definite price increase. Most noteworthy is the month of January which dramatically increase the price of bitcoin up to 30%. Additionally, the average price change in this current year is currently around 25% by the time of this writing.  So given the fact that there is a yearly 25% increase could translate to doubling your money within four years and that what’s make most of the people hoard their coins.   Wink

409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: November 21, 2017, 04:35:01 PM
Yesterday the Central Bank of Albania issued a warning about the uncertain and unsafe nature  of cryptocurrencies
They called on people not to get involved. Should we be afraid or the banks are!

Hi there flag39! First of all I would like to clarify that what we are talking about is "Central Bank" and not just an bank. In my opinion they don't fear about the cryptocurrency given the fact that it could hardly replace the fiat. Based on the statement I think Central Bank is just doing their jobs which are to regulate, manage and supervise the country's exchange. One of their key goals is to prevent people from investing in ponzi schemes which are common nowadays which took advantage of the cryptocurrency. Another key issue is that Central bank has no direct control in the cryptocurrency system that could become the vessel for money laundering, tax evasion, and other unlawful act.  Wink
410  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: November 21, 2017, 02:55:13 PM
Personally, if I'm in a coffee shop or any store with some people, I pull out my wallet and subtly show them my Xapo debit card. Then they get curious on what kind of card is that since it doesnt look like the usual Mastercard or creditcard. Then I explain it from there on.
What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? Smiley

Hi there mjglqw! That’s great; I should also get those xapo debit card to try the charm it holds. In my experience I usually bring my phone and open my favorite bitcoin wallet app to pay in a particular service or goods directly in another person. However, it is given that the other person knew the cryptocurrency.
To spread the knowledge about the cryptocurrency I talk directly with friends and colleagues the potential income returns when investing. Lately, one of my friend is in doubt asking if there is a sort of money back guarantee, I stepped into one of the incoming ICO named ANGEL TOKEN and realize that they have a five months money back guarantee, the following day he invest and wished for a huge return next year.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To the moon? (regarding BTC = $8000) on: November 21, 2017, 02:06:08 PM
Is this the moon? Can it still go forward in such a short amount of time?

Hi there JohnHero! If your asking if the bitcoin price could reach to the moon. My exact answer is it will reach up to MARS! Yes, it actually reach it as the time of this post. Just wait for one to two months and it could reach into Mars due to several reasons. First, the current market situation is mostly Bullish and when it skyrocketed, it increases more than 5% in a week. Second, in the previous year, the bitcoin price rose at an average of 25% per month. Third, intelligent companies like CME group and Man Group's crypto venture create a huge step to popularize the cryptocurrency in the market.  Wink
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: November 21, 2017, 06:31:50 AM
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?

Hi there Crapz23! It is given that bitcoin is the pioneer in cryptocurrency and the rest follows the steps. There are bunch of alt coins currently circulating, as of November 6, 2017 there were over 1,172 of them. And still bitcoin has the largest blockchain network which make it the number 1 among them. You can't judge all the alt coins to be scam because most of them could be converted into fiat and operate in a legal way. Based on market capitalization your 2nd coin rank at 46 among other coins. And by the way, did you know a cryptocurrency that become popular because it is called joke currency?
413  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people says gold is better? on: November 21, 2017, 05:42:58 AM
Actually today I watched a video on facebook which is about spending bitcoin and gold in USA,it says it is difficult to spend bitcoin but some places are accepting bitcoins accepting as payment like supermarket, restaurants and some institutions. But no one accepting gold as payment then why still people says gold is better?

Hi there akram143! I laugh out loud by your question “no one accepting gold as payment”. But did you know that if you visit pawnshop and sell them your gold they will absolutely happy and convert it to cash. People that says gold is better than bitcoin are the one who are in trading, the gold price also swing large like the bitcoin price. For further information, before the bank notes become popular gold are the one use for buying and selling it just happen that gold is bulky enough. As times goes by the gold is still one of the top commodity listed in stock market.  Wink
414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: November 21, 2017, 05:05:23 AM
Which of the Bitcoin wallets between the Online and Offline works best?

Hi there RubyM! I personally use the online wallet for the purpose of accessing it wherever I go. I am also confident that the security protocols used by the wallet companies are top level. On the other hand, the Offline wallet is much secure it is like you have a money vault in your own house. So even the wallet company is hacked or bankrupt (just what happened to Mt. Gox in 2014) your bitcoins are much secure. But if you are the one that is hacked, it could be pretty hard to gain it back.    Smiley
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: November 21, 2017, 04:46:51 AM
Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.

Hi there malekbaba! Indeed some people use the bitcoin as a currency for purchasing illegal stuff. But I think that market fuel the bitcoin which bring it to the people and government spotlight, I’m referring to the Silk Road marketplace. Based on my readings, Satoshi aim to make the currency uncontrollable by the government or private company thus freedom to use it in an unlawful way takes its place. This is the curse of freedom just like what happen to the internet, it is also developed for the good and advancement of humanity, but evil works always take their place.  Wink
416  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of Year Predictions For BTC Price on: November 21, 2017, 04:24:19 AM
So It's that time of year to start making predictions for next year, so I thought I would go ahead and see what everyone else thought about predictions for the end of year price for Bitcoin or BTC. Personally, I see it at about $8,000-$8,500. I think big investors looking at Bitcoin will wait until the New Year to start buying Bitcoin in order to save cost on accounting and taxes for this quarters numbers. What does everyone else think?

Hi there RamesesLabs! I bet it can reach $10,000 before the year ends. As I scan through the price history, bitcoin price rose at an average of 25% per month which if happen could directly target the 10k mark.  First quarter of a year proves a slow swing of price especially in the month of March. Actually, with the current price at 8k even though market analyst says it is in resistance level, it cant be dragged down below 7k. Given the fact, I’m with you about the tax rules, but most company are rushing to take advantage of the current price.  Wink
417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: November 21, 2017, 04:03:52 AM

Seems many people treat bitcoin like an asset given how much it's gone up over the last year or so. But some academics disagree with that assessment. If it is to be treated as a currency, it will need to stabilize to be of use.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/24/nyus-dean-of-valuation-says-bitcoin-is-a-currency.html

Hi there StevenRA! As I read through the article one thing that sticks to my mind is the word “IF”. We all know that there is a long list of company that uses and accept bitcoin as payment. However, what fails is the attitude of bitcoin owners towards spending their possessions. Correct me if I am wrong but, as of now, most of the people hoard bitcoins. I cant think of any person that is ready to spend all or almost half of their bitcoin in exchange for a grocery, items or services not related to cryptocurrency. And by that I think most of the people treat bitcoin as an asset.  Wink
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the advantages of having Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2017, 09:31:08 AM
The only thing I know about Bitcoin is that it is a virtual 'money' but what are the other use of it? What are your advantages for having a bitcoin?  Roll Eyes

Hi there CoPil! Bitcoin has several advantages regarding bitcoin as a currency; top benefits are the following:

1. Autonomy – An individual could literally send and received cryptocurrency free from the independent and private company or government.
2. Anonymity – Private information about the sender and the receiver could be hidden thus making it a payment method of those who prefer not to be named like for example in donation and illicit activities.
3. Affordability – Most of the payment processor, wallet and the like have a lower service charge, or some even are free of charge compared to bank and remittance centers.
Hope it help!  Wink
419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Battle between bitcoin and bitcoin cash on: November 20, 2017, 09:15:20 AM
Im not sure what is really going on right now between BCH and BTC. I just checked the value of this two just now in coinmarketcap.com, bitcoin is falling again to 7500$ and BCH once again is pumping from 1k to 1.3k$. Are they switching their bitcoin again to bitcoin cash? Are whales making money for it?

Hi there Jombitt! In my own observation and opinion, people are interested in BCH compare to BTC because the profit ratio of BCH can reach 78% compare to BTC. And an avid and skillful trader could use this situation to gain more money. Additionally, price swings of BCH are also much greater compare to BTC. But you could observe that there are multiple times where the price of each other is quite opposite compared to other altcoins. Currently, both BTC and BCH is in correction state but as you can see on the website it states that BTC still has the largest traded volume.   Wink

420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: November 20, 2017, 08:59:08 AM
Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin

Hi there Huobi-USD! I am a bitcoin fan since 2014 which I first hear from a university conference and got a hand on to a bitcoin mining rig. Since then I try to do my own very low-cost PC based mining, which at that time yield a small amount of BTC. Suddenly I stop due to the negative income. After several years, I hear a rumor that the price skyrocketed and go back to bitcoin, at this time I start reading stuff and I found this site full of knowledge from mining, trading and other means of obtaining bitcoin. After that, I start selling which gives another extra income. However, I found interest in ICO and currently I am planning to join with the first refundable investment company called ANGEL TOKEN and hope to earn more income in the near future.  Wink
