401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all learnt this 2023 on: December 28, 2023, 10:03:19 PM
I learned: don't invest in shitcoins. We have seen how the Bitcoin market has been growing, but a lot of shitcoins are still down. They aren't moving with Bitcoin. A few major and reputed altcoins have shown good movement with Bitcoin. So I can say Bitcoin investment is the best if we want to invest in crypto. I am not talking about traders, because they trade everything from which they could make money. I am talking about long-term investment and solid investment. If I found Bitcoin in a low zone again, I would invest in Bitcoin rather than any shitcoins.
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Know, But Can i Invest In Bitcoin? on: December 28, 2023, 09:57:24 PM
Fortunately, Bitcoin isn't an investment scheme. Bitcoin is a virtual digital cryptocurrency that we can use for p2p transactions worldwide without a third party. Bitcoin has become more popular due to its volatility, which we can take advantage of to make some profits. It doesn't mean to just invest and get profits. You have to buy bitcoin and hold it until you get the profits. There is a huge chance of losing your funds in the event of a bear market. So you should invest in something you can afford to lose. I assume you introduced Bitcoin wrongly and don't know much about it. You must study more on the internet and spend more time on the forum reading threads that you need.
403  Local / India / Re: Financial Intelligence Unit of India wants to block URL of Binance and 8 others on: December 28, 2023, 09:48:50 PM
This is really very sad news when the market is showing bullishness. India is a large country with a lot of cryptocurrency users. They seem to block all the major crypto exchange URLs. This definitely will affect the trading volume, and using a VPN would be a problem for exchange users. It seems they want to ban crypto again; hence, Indian users can't use major crypto exchanges. The news wasn't expected at this time. We are looking for a bull market here, and we were almost there.
404  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RedotPay Crypto Virtual Card & Pysical card. on: December 28, 2023, 08:12:28 PM
This part looked strange for me. Why to make things complicated? Namecheap accepts Bitcoin, so, why just don't pay directly using Bitcoin?
Have you ever thought about the Bitcoin transaction fees? When I tried to make a deposit through Bitcoin, it seemed to charge approximately $17, and transactions had to be confirmed within 15 minutes, as displayed on the payment page. Do you think I should wait a week, or will Namecheap accept a delay? The card seems to cost me nothing to make a deposit on Namecheap. I'm not sure if it's free for now. But it doesn't make sense to pay $17 fees to make a $50 deposit.

I guess he likes the get KYCed and pay extra fees  Tongue
You are wrong here. Without KYC I can't find any virtual crypto card yet.

Namecheap accepts payment in Bitcoin, so paying using a Bitcoin card is a meaningless additional fee especially since the payments may not be returned to you or have refund option.
It doesn't make sense to pay too high transaction fees. Your answer is above.

In many countries spending Bitcoin is far from easy. And if you sell Bitcoin and get the fiat into your bank account can get the bank account locked.
That's the main issue, actually. I have a credit card from our bank but have a limit of $10000 a year, which isn't enough for me. Banks and governments ask many questions: Why am I spending too much foreign currency? So I am forced to get a card from outside of my country, and there is no alternative to a crypto card in this scenario.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin transaction fees have disappointed me today on: December 27, 2023, 09:32:49 PM
Bitcoin transaction fees have become a topic of discussion lately. A lot of topics have been created about Bitcoin transaction fees. It seems the transaction fees are throwing Bitcoin away from its original goal.

Today I attempted to make a Bitcoin payment on Namecheap. Instead of making transactions from the Ledger wallet, I tried to make them from Binance for a faster transaction since there was a 15-minute time limit. So the transaction and withdrawal fees asked in Binance are 0.0004BTC, which was almost $17 during the withdrawal.

Ok, let's forget Binance withdrawal fees. If I want to make transactions from the ledger, then the transaction has to arrive in 15 minutes. I am pretty sure if I want to ensure the time frame, then I have to spend similar fees, even from Ledger. So it's become hard to pay $17 transaction fees to make a $50 deposit. And by force, I had to use a virtual card that doesn't cost anything (I didn't notice any significant fees) and was an instant transaction as well. It made me believe that we are drifting away from Bitcoin's original goal in some way.
406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understand your wallet on: December 27, 2023, 09:11:24 PM
There are many factors to consider when we are going to choose a wallet. First of all, you always have to use a non-custodial open-source wallet, either a hardware wallet or a hot wallet. Based on your requirements, you have to choose what type of wallet you need. Even on hardware wallets, there are many types of wallets. So you have to understand your needs first and then search for what type of wallet you need. But the priority should always be to choose non-custodial and open-source. Otherwise, we aren't in a safe zone at all. Never use exchange or custodial wallets. Otherwise, you might lose your valuable funds at any time.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment is kind on: December 27, 2023, 09:04:03 PM
Though I welcome and appreciate accepting Bitcoin as a payment method, due to the recent congested network, it has become hard to accept Bitcoin. Because even though you have been trying to accept Bitcoin in a real store, there is a chance of double spending. Transactions are going to delay a lot, and transaction fees is too high as well, and the sender has to wait a long time to get transaction confirmation on the blockchain. I don't see any possibility of seeing low transaction fees and fast transactions very soon. However, you may start accepting Bitcoin payments and share with us what difficulties you are facing. So, based on the situation, we may find a solution.
408  Economy / Service Discussion / RedotPay Crypto Virtual Card & Pysical card. on: December 27, 2023, 08:52:15 PM
For a long time, I have been looking for a virtual card where I can spend my cryptocurrency directly. Today I discovered a RedotPay card service based in Hong Kong. I made three payments today, including Namecheap. It seems everything went smoothly with no issues at all. Deposits could be made through Binance Pay & direct deposit as well, and to use their card, we have to verify identification. It means you need to verify KYC to generate their card. Virtual cards seem to charge $10, and physical cards seem to charge $100. For me, the virtual card charge is reasonable, whereas the physical card price seems unrealistic.

They have mixed reviews on the Play Store and other review sites. I just started using it today and can't say much about it. It might help us with small transactions since I don't dare make big transactions through RedotPay. They are pretty new, and we have to see how their services are going. So use your own risk; I am not preferring to use. Just sharing as an option for those who need a virtual crypto card.
409  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any reliable virtual crypto debit card right now? on: December 27, 2023, 07:24:08 PM
Hi guys, I have found the solution today, and it's been working fine, which is easier than the Pyppl service. Just today, I started using 'RedotPay' and have yet to experience more. We can make direct payments from Binance Pay; most likely, they get merchant accounts from Binance, but they are still charging 1% for deposits. I made two purchases today by using Redotpay, and both were Telegram subscriptions. Everything went smoothly and hassle-free. They need KYC, of course, but it's pretty easy, like Pyppl. Not much complicated at all. I will update my future experience. Still, I am not sure about their customer service, and there seem to be a few negative experiences over the internet. So use it at your own risk.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was your crypto journey this year? on: December 25, 2023, 08:33:25 PM
For me, as usual, I mostly earn cryptocurrency through my marketing services. Whenever I notice a pump, I sell my holdings and use them in real life. Of course, I hold a portion of my earnings that has become a handsome amount due to the bull market. Very rarely am I lucky to buy back in cheap whenever I sell my holdings. Because most of the time the price doesn't drop below my sell price, I can't dare to buyback. However, the overall condition is not so bad or so good. I hope next year will be good for me since there is some upcoming work in crypto.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch out! Blockchair has been hacked! on: December 25, 2023, 07:52:22 PM
Be caution. I am pretty sure the device that you are currently using has been compromised. So please take action as soon as possible. You should erase everything from your device by hard-resetting and installing a new operating system. So the affected parts will be removed, and of course you have to recheck if everything works fine. Before that, you must write down your wallet credentials perfectly to avoid losing your funds. There is nothing wrong with the explores, and it does indicate compromising your device.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if all Bitcoin is lost? on: December 25, 2023, 07:42:34 PM
I am just curious: how do you see unrealistic dreams? Bitcoin isn't like a centralised organisation that would lose everything at once. It's unlikely to scam a financial services or insurance company. They would disappear overnight, and that happens always in Ponzi schemes, either online or in real life. Everyone won't lose their seed phrase overnight, and the Bitcoin blockchain won't disappear either. However, even if your dream comes true, there will be no footprint of Bitcoin, which is unlikely to happen ever. So you don't need to worry about it.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your Bitcoin spendings here on: December 25, 2023, 07:06:37 PM
I spend my Bitcoin holdings whenever necessary, both in real life and online. Currently, I am building my dream house through my bitcoin and cryptocurrency earnings. So to cover expenses for my housework, I have to sell my bitcoin. It doesn't matter what the price is when I am selling, but I need to cover the cost. I don't feel bad even if the price of Bitcoin rises after I sell it. I believe in Bitcoin for life, not for a lifetime. We are earning money to live a good life, so I have to spend it when necessary.
414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 24, 2023, 09:29:04 PM
Where were you when Bitcoin was playing in the $16K zone? Wasn't it very cheap compared to the current price? We often see this type of post when Bitcoin has been mooning already. However, it still isn't overpriced if you compare it to ATH. On the other hand, there are rumours about the Bitcoin ETF, so if it approves, then we might see more pump on Bitcoin. So I can still say it's cheap if you can afford it. Keep in mind that crypto investment is always risky since we can't forecast it exactly. So do what you think is best; we don't know if Bitcoin would be cheaper.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC were to be adopted as a global reserve currency? on: December 24, 2023, 09:22:03 PM
Don't dream of the government adapting Bitcoin instead of their fiat currency. Its unrealistic to adapt decentralised Bitcoin by a centralised government. They might allow you to use it; it's not a Bitcoin adaptation, actually. But yes, El Salvador has been adapting Bitcoin. Even a few more governments will adapt Bitcoin this way, but Bitcoin won't be a reserve currency anyway. Because Bitcoin is highly volatile, that will always affect the value of the total reserve. And Bitcoin is always a digital currency, whether the government accepts it or not.
416  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Safe 3 New Hardware Wallet on: December 24, 2023, 08:50:27 PM
I am not sure if I can eventually find my device. I am still waiting for their response.

I hope you get your device eventually. But when you get it, I suggest you be careful and check that the device is in its original packaging and that it has not been tampered with. You never know...

I have enough faith that they can't scam me. Because when I use a new device, I always reset it to see if everything is working fine. Then I create a new seed phrase to make sure even device-tempered funds aren't at risk. So I am really not worried about it, but I am worried about losing the device. I need the device as soon as possible because I need to move funds from Ledger to Trezor.
417  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Should I be worried about this? on: December 24, 2023, 08:41:28 PM
I don't see anything wrong there, so you shouldn't worry. I have visited the site by clicking enter, and everything seems fine to me. Most probably, they have added the enter option to click manually to prevent bot attacks. Bots are unlikely to click this way, so there couldn't be a DDOS attack. So it will prevent the site from being down. I believe everything is fine.
418  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Safe 3 New Hardware Wallet on: December 23, 2023, 08:58:48 PM
It seems I am unlucky. I pre-ordered Trezor Safe-3, and they delivered it through UPS. I have checked the tracking number, which has marked delivered but I haven't received anything yet. I raised a ticket on Trezor and UPS but haven't gotten any reply yet for almost 10 days. I intended to leave Ledger and start using Trezor. I am not sure if I can eventually find my device. I am still waiting for their response.
419  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hosting companies that don't ask for KYC? on: December 23, 2023, 07:38:06 PM
I have used Godaddy and Namecheap both and never asked KYC. I feel more comfortable with Namecheap, where I bought a domain and hosted it through Bitcoin and didn't need to submit my personal details. It asks for a billing address but doesn't need verification; you can enter any valid address. My personal portfolio website is built with a namecheap domain and hosting, and I have never faced any legal issues yet. Namechap is also the biggest name in the domain hosting business industry, and they are very supportive as well. So you may try it.
420  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I got scammed by whatsapp contact and exchange on: December 23, 2023, 07:00:35 PM
You were deceived by a well-planned scammer that managed to control your mind. Otherwise, it was impossible to scam this way. I would never follow a stranger on social media. I often receive the message, "Are you interested in crypto?" But I simply ignore and block them. I am familiar with these types of scams and don't want to waste my time there. It's quite impossible to recover the scammed amount; they would mix their funds where you can't identify the address. If it ends up in centralised exchanges and they withdraw from there, you won't fund anything else. However, law enforcement would help you identify the scammer, and you have stepped up so far. So you have to wait for their actions.
