401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Compile wallet KZ Cash on Ubuntu 22.04 on: February 11, 2024, 02:18:13 AM
Hello !

Currentc version - https://github.com/kzcashteam/kzcash.git
working only Unubtu 16.04

That isn't true, i just try it and works fine on the last version of ubuntu.

You can download the compiled version from here:

https://github.com/kzcashteam/kzcash/releases

I tried the Cli version:

https://github.com/kzcashteam/kzcash/releases/download/v0.1.9.1/kzcash-0.1.9.1-cli-linux-ubuntu1604.tar.gz

Code:
$ ls
kzcash-cli  kzcashd  kzcash-tx
x@x:~/kz$ ./kzcashd

And when i try the get info command it was running fine:

Code:
$ ./kzcash-cli getinfo
{
  "version": 10901,

  "walletversion": 10100,

402  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: VPS Recommendation for Crypto business on: February 11, 2024, 12:23:23 AM
Some weeks ago a user from this forum recommended a VPS service called contabo, which from my point of view is really cheap compared to other ones, maybe you want to take a look at their offer

https://contabo.com/en/vps/cloud-vps-1/

But why do you need a VPS? you should consider the option of creating the project on your PC, and then getting the VPS once the project it's fully functional
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it have positive/negative on bitcoin development? on: February 10, 2024, 08:36:36 PM
I was reading an article this morning and I saw on it, there is an ongoing legal battle between a computer scientist Craig Wright claiming to gain control of the intellectual property behind the digital currency bitcoin.
Source
I'm having these thoughts  because since the creation of Bitcoin, Bitcoin has recorded massive and rapid growth since it's developement. The developer, developed it and made his identity unknown. However, what will be the impact ( positive/ negative) on Bitcoin if the developer of the decentralised cryptocurrency bitcoin is known.

As you know, bitcoin is an open-source project, which means a lot of developers are involved, anyone who can make the code better will do it. But what Craig is trying to do is to steal the ownership of the code, and if that happens it would be terrible for the code and for the community. As the owner of the main code, he would try to issue anyone involved in the development... Exchanges and other services will have to pay for using the word Bitcoin, and it will be madness.

Just to be clear, he is not Satoshi, he is just trying to steal the ownership of Bitcoin to fuck up the project and the community.

405  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🍍Pineapple Poker| Freeroll tournaments| USDT Prizes| 25% Rakeback for referrals on: February 10, 2024, 04:24:16 PM
How will you deal with abusers?

If i have 5 telegram accounts i can play with all of them the same freeroll, or i even can join to a table with multiple accounts and have better odds by knowing multiple hands at the same time.

This kind of abuse sucks and has been the main problem of online poker since the start, there are always guys trying to abuse it, and it's hard to do something about, that's why i ask what's the plan with your software?
406  Economy / Gambling / Re: ltc casino login on: February 09, 2024, 07:40:02 PM
I believe the op should have already solved his issue due to the suggestion made above; the dot com site is having issues so users are unable to use it - even the representative made a post in their Ann thread and they also didn’t use the .com instead they used .io.

Yes, that should be the right solution for OP.

But it would be nice if he gave us more information, is hard to solve a problem with speculation, we don't even know the right site, maybe he is talking about other LTC casino like free-litecoin.com...

And the weird thing about this story is the fact that support isn't answering the emails, maybe he needs to wait a little longer, and again we are dealing with speculation.
408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just bought FBTC in my 401k. First time ever holding crypto for retirement. on: February 08, 2024, 06:46:47 PM
With this move you are not holding crypto at all... you are holding ETFs... is important to mention that FBTC (Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund) is not Bitcoin, and you are not holding the keys of those coins. But as an investment is not a bad move at all. Right now the price is $39.58 and it could have a massive jump in the next months. So, good luck with your investment.
409  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What are best and secured tools to create public keys ? on: February 08, 2024, 05:09:37 PM

What are best and secured tools to create public keys ?

Is there any one who can let me know the best offline tools
for creating Bitcoin public keys.

Thank.

A public key is useless without the private key, so, when you want to generate an address you need both.

And from my experience, Vanitygen is a great option because you can choose the prefix of your address, let me show you an example:

Code:
$ vanitygen -i 1Key
Difficulty: 18973
Pattern: 1Key
Address: 1KEYZcAfMyJkhyK6PZF2Eqs6864js567uC
Privkey: 5JzxcKZQHWPMfRM6s81cGVDk7meaxCDhcNH8PG7ir4bTmKcSt49

If you are running on linux you can install it with snap:

Code:
$ sudo snap install vanitygen

And if you want to learn more about this tool, feel free to read the wiki: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Vanitygen

411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 07, 2024, 08:19:32 PM
The are two kinds of luck, good luck and bad luck, and both of them are luck.

Good luck is to bet on 1% chance to win, and win the bet.
Bad luck is to bet on 99% chance to win and lose.

I believe luck is something real, and we need good luck to achieve some amazing targets like, Win the Lottery, Getting our dream Job, or Finding a wallet with $100 bills on the street.

I think luck comes in waves, but i have discussed that with a lot of people who don't agree with me. But from my point of view, luck comes and goes on a non-stop cycle.

...

https://twitter.com/BinanceHelpDesk/status/1754259406085308552

414  Local / Español (Spanish) / Discutamos sobre Nodos y Mineros on: February 06, 2024, 11:37:28 PM

416  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Starting a Bitcoin Node using a VPS on: February 06, 2024, 05:36:39 PM
Those are some really cheap VPS, is the first time i read about Contabo, they have nice reviews in trust pilot, and I'm tempted now to get one VPS with them. I'm not sure if i will use it for running a BTC node, but other coins node could be a good option.
What type of nodes do you plan to run with this? I'm looking for something to do as well if ever I plan to run on a mini PC or VPS.

I was thinking about an Staking node for ClamCoin, i like that coin because it's cheap, and with 5000 of them you stake 1/day. The clam node only needs like 10 GB, so, it could be a good option. And i like it for developing proposes, it easy to use and it has the same syntax than normal coins like LTC, DOGE, BTC...

So, i still thinking about getting one VPS with Contavo, let's see if this week i pay for the 3 months plan for testing.
417  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Question On User Agent Field Message Entry on: February 06, 2024, 04:33:25 PM
Hello everyone.  I just noticed a few nodes that are connecting to my nodes are adding personalized notes to their User Agent Fields like they did back in the day during the Blocksize Wars.  Can anyone give me a walkthrough on how you go about adding these message?  My nodes are running on Windows 10 and Windows 11 and are Bitcoin Core Nodes. Thanks to everyone in advance!

For things like this, i recommend using ChatGPT... This is the answer i get from the AI.

Quote
Hello! Adding personalized notes to your Bitcoin Core nodes' User Agent Fields can be done by modifying the useragent configuration setting in your Bitcoin Core configuration file. Here's a step-by-step walkthrough:

    Locate the Bitcoin Core Configuration File:
        The configuration file is named bitcoin.conf.
        On Windows, it is typically located in the %APPDATA%\Bitcoin directory. If the file doesn't exist, you can create it.

    Open the Configuration File:
        Use a text editor (like Notepad) to open the bitcoin.conf file.

    Add or Modify the useragent Setting:
        If the useragent setting is not present, you can add it.
        If it's already there, modify it to include your personalized note.

    Example:

    plaintext

    useragent=my-node-name/1.0 (Custom Note)

    Replace my-node-name with the name you want to give to your node and (Custom Note) with the personalized message you want to add.

    Save the Configuration File:
        Save the changes to the bitcoin.conf file.

    Restart Bitcoin Core:
        Restart your Bitcoin Core node for the changes to take effect.

After completing these steps, other nodes connecting to your Bitcoin Core node will see the personalized note in the User Agent field.

It's worth mentioning that while adding a personalized note is allowed, it's essential to ensure that the information you include is accurate and doesn't misrepresent your node. Misleading information may result in your node being ignored or even banned by other nodes on the network.

Additionally, consider checking the Bitcoin Core documentation or community forums for any updates or changes related to the useragent setting, as configurations can evolve over time.

So, editing the bitcoin.conf file looks like the right way to modify the message. that should do the magic, please try it and if it gives you an error or don't work at all try sharing the error with the AI, and it will help you solving the problem.
418  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Blockchain será la tendencia on: February 06, 2024, 03:33:07 PM

419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: February 05, 2024, 07:46:14 PM
It wouldn't call this a high risk, because you were risking 150 Naira and that's $0.12 US dollars, but this was a high multiplier, you get close to x100 on that bet, and is really hard to do that in sports bets, so congrats for your win.

In the past, I tried to find the best way to get big multipliers in sports betting, and from my point of view, the best way is to win 3 basketball games on draw in a parlay, that would pay x1000. But is really hard to win a parlay like that.

Too many banners are not pleasing to the eye, you have to do it right so that those who visit your site are comfortable.

I totally agree, the design is terrible, too many banners make the navigation confusing.

The faucets offered on this site are legit but this is just a try from OP to get affiliates, and get money in his pockets, and is not a bad idea at all, but with that design, it will be hard for the users to find the faucets.

Op isn't lying, we can bet with faucets, but the amounts are too low, for me isn't even worth the try.
