Only if you can review the code yourself or someone else you trust. But this is also true for bitcoin core. There is no absolute trust. Basically if you had 1000 BTC on the paper wallet and a +20 char passphrase should one be confident that crackin your actual private key is not possible?
I would not passphrase the paper wallet. It makes it more vulnerable for errors. Saw someone talking about passwords not working anymore for some wallets (think it was safari browser related) |

Meh, no interest in crap like that. The only bitcoins I ever got were a few back when you could mine profitably with GPUs, and a few more in exchange for services. Never bought any with real money and don't plan to. What I am interested in is if anyone serious still sees a future in bitcoin, and if so, what they're reasons might be. MAXM just changed their bid back to 5000 coins at 350 USD/BTC...
This happened over 24hrs ago.. No. They changed it to just 10 coins like the others. But half an hour ago (09:31 NY time), they went back to 5000 coins. 8 hours ago it was already 5000 coins No. I have followed it. And watch the timestamp on the bid. Well, you and everyone else must by on a different internet then. |

AFAIK, this is likely in 3 hours. Could be epic or just fizzle out. But I have set a timer to alert me  I just had a 235.07 sell order filled, from a 214.xx buy barely a week ago. Im happy. Don't think it was an exchange. Those were 70000 coins which were idle for almost 2 years. Equals around 70000 * 2 * 365 = 51100000 Explains the days destroyed exactly |

I never understood this chart. Can someone explain? It looks like there were around 50 million bitcoin days destroyed. That means that it could be that 1 million coins which were not moved for 50 days could have been transfered somewhere else. It can also mean that 100.000 coins which were stored for 500 days were suddenly transfered else. Capiche? |

Did not expect to see old Gox coins coming back. Hopefully those folks that lost a lot can get something back at least.
I'm sure they will and have an idea, otherwise they wouldn't come back Are refunds being made in BTC or USD? Haven't been following the Gox thing lately. I think they're distributing everything that they can liquidate but decided on paying the coins as coins and not sell them for FIAT. If I remember correctly you can choose your preferred way of getting your coins back when you file your request with Kraken! is that mean that kraken will buy a lot of coin to pay back gox's customer  omg... omg... bear quick buy back your coin before its too late They have a very tiny orderbook.
