401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: July 29, 2017, 06:20:59 PM
Stop gambling if stoping gambling's is the best thing. Attempts to stop in gambling are many, and many other things can replace gambling activity. Such as finding a permanent job or a more profitable activity and can keep away from gambling. Depending on each person there who can stop because of this and that thing, try to find other activities that can making more busy until finally get out from gambling.

You are right, there are many activities that we can do to stop from gambling. There are recreational activities that we can try to focus ourselves if we decided to quit gambling. There are people who would seek for counsel in order to cure themselves from addiction.

As for me, I gamble but I see to it that I won't be addicted. I know how being dangerous being addicted to it can be. I am scared about the things that I can do if ever I get addicted and I really do not want to hurt my family. I do not want those reports of addicted gamblers going mad and doing criminal acts to happen to me.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you know game like pusoy or tongits? on: July 29, 2017, 05:51:11 PM
Yes, I play those game but for fun. In our family, it only involves something like food or more for fun. I never bet money for these games. These are card games and it is good that we are learning the game and the technique without money involvement. This is a fun game that we love to play during family bonding time. It is fun.

We used to play that kind of card game with my family just also for fun. They do not hesitate to teach the techniques in playing of it. They also say that it is ok to play that kind of game but we must not involve any amount of money because it is not good. Any game involves money is gambling, and in gambling when you win, you do not want to stop in playing.

I also play this game with my family but only with my cousins. My father won't even teach me how to play a game more like techniques and strategies. He said that it is very unlikely for women to be seen playing these kind of games. I play tong-its with my cousins but there will be no money involved because the elders won't allow us. As you can see, I have a strict family, I believe it is because they don't want us (the younger ones) to be involved in any gambling games in the future to avoid addiction. We follow them but as far as I know, my cousins also play gambling online because this is where we can play privately.
403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: July 29, 2017, 04:44:05 PM
Yes, I am very much disappointed specially when my investment did not go with the flow that I want it to be. I always want to earn more but most of the time I failed. I guess,  i just need to invest more and search or learn some strategies or technique on how to trade in a right way.

That's life dude. I also had a lot of missed opportunities or wrong decisions or sometimes instances when i was left with no choice but to sell below my entry point. Just don't let that get to you dude. Trading is worth it and there's really money there. We just can't avoid setbacks sobwe have to ride through them.
That is a life of a trader ups and downs as long as you not stop learning and applying what you've learn until you get what are tge real flow and how to analyze the market to entry.

They are right, it is how trading goes. Not all trading will succeed especially if the time you were onto a trade was the fall of the coin’s market price. This had happened to me, I am also disappointed to what had happened but we must move on. The experience of failing in this have only made me interested to study the market more. There are people who told me to always watch and monitor the market because this will help in understanding the price hike and its opposite. I don’t know if it will help me to predict the what will happen ( which is very impossible ) in the market price but at least I will have knowledge.
404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So much bad news. When will it end ? on: July 29, 2017, 02:32:59 PM
If you only look to bad news, you see bad news. There is happening also much good things.
Focus a bit on all the good ones!

I agree, always thinking positively about what will happen in the future Wink

Yeah we should be optimistic. These bad news may had badly affect the market price of bitcoin causing a sudden dump but bitcoin had recovered. We should consider the dump as an opportunity to buy bitcoin and other crypto currencies so that we could invest. For me, I think the bad news had only made bitcoin's price higher, making it reached $2800.

Bitcoin will not easily disappear because of those news besides it had clearly made an announcement that the split is not happening, only the segwit which will help bitcoin to get higher again. Honestly, I haven’t heard any bad news for this week. I just hope that there will be none in August 1 and after this day.
405  Economy / Economics / Re: Whats next after BIP 91? on: July 23, 2017, 06:13:07 PM
After reading about BIP 91 on coindesk, this obviously isn't a permanent solution for the possible fork in BTC. Does anyone know what will come after in the coming months?

Of course no one really knows what will happen after the BIP91. It had caused many people to panic and to sell their bitcoins because there are people who are saying that bitcoin would continue to dump. There are just speculations and rumors.

No one knows what will happen, what we have are only ideas. As for me, I will just wait until August 1 happen, I will observe what will happen and then that will be the time for me to decide. I have done the safety measures just to ensure that I would still have money left.
406  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 23, 2017, 05:42:36 PM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

Honestly, it depends. If your job is stable and is giving you a nice income, why would you think about leaving? Maybe, we can easily get rich through bitcoin but "easily" is a very big word. I doubt if a single investment would make you an instant millionaire. I know that anything is possible in bitcoin but I believe that it is still more important to have a stable job.

Besides, you can still earn bitcoin while you have a regular work. You can do both at the same time and unnecessarily asking you to leave work. I have friends who took the risk by giving their whole time to bitcoin, they have managed to earn an amount that had helped them to raise a business but as soon as the business goes well, he goes back to work. He said that even if he is earning bitcoin online, he is still consider as unemployed.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: July 23, 2017, 05:09:47 PM
What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?

Maybe they are waiting for something better opportunity to make their bitcoin is being double at the right time to exchange it. There is a risk but if you didn't try or gamble you're profit is stock up or not grow. Just go with the flow if you feel good about something.

After the news about the split and the segwit was announced, many people sold their bitcoins resulting to a dump in the market price of bitcoin but it recovered now reaching up to $3000. Most of the people who chose to hold their bitcoins are the long time users of bitcoin. I guess it is because that this had happened before ( the dump ) and they choose to hold because they know that panic selling will happen. The dump will really be a good opportunity for those who can afford buying bitcoin. Holding bitcoin is really risky since the price can go down anytime but it is worth the risk.

Most of the people who sold their bitcoin are the ones who are new in this market. I guess they were really afraid that their bitcoins will disappear in their wallets.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 23, 2017, 04:38:33 PM

The allocation for the signature campaign is 80%. I have joined other altcoins before and I am very excited when I saw that the amount allocated for this project’s signature campaign is big, my previous altcoins did not allocate that big. Other ICOs would only give 50 % or lower. I just hope that this project will succeed because I do really think that this will surely give big amount of money in the distribution. I know that the other participants thinks the same way.

I agree with you on this, I was in awe when I saw the allocation for this campaign plus I think it also a very interesting project especially for gamers. And surely this will be successful too because it is run by Sylon, one of the best Campaign Manager in bitcointalk. I've heard a lot of positive feedbacks about him so I'm sure he knows too that this project is worth it.

Thank you!  Smiley I agree with you, I have also heard about that, Sylon has good reviews about managing campaigns just like jamal.

Aside from the percentage of allocation, what I also like about this campaign is that it is fresh for me. I am a gamer but I was never really interested into card games but I hope that this will change. I really do hope that this project will succeed. I just checked the spreadsheet and I can see that there are many participants already. I guess the 80% allocation is very attractive and effective.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 23, 2017, 02:20:11 PM
i set up limits on myself especially when i got loose on the game, yeah there is a lot of chances to win but theres a lot of chances also to loose if you don't set up limits into yourself in the end you will loose all your profit especially when you are greedy to win high prize, there is another time to try your luck to win the prize.

Right, other people get to greedy that after losing their money, they would eventually try to play again thinking and hoping that they would recover what they have loss in the previous game. Without thinking wisely, they made a decision that leads mostly of the gamblers and players to failure in recovering the money. And also making the situation worse because for another round ( which is for recovering the money loss ) which leads to another loss in the game, another amount of money needs to be earn again.

It is very important to set limits for yourself in playing, you will never know that the games are already consuming not just your money and time, but also YOU.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 23, 2017, 01:48:07 PM
Hello all,

Perfect ratio 80% for signature is a lot !

Also I hope we can get a lot 😅

Have a nice weekends.

Yeah, I agree. Actually, this is a very good project and the bounty still big. The number of participants in the subscription grows that indicate good sign to enjoy the reward. So let's give our full support for this project to become successful.
I really think that it is too much for a lot of bounty hunters but look fair for a great campaign i guess the campaign will do well in the coming weeks i guess the ICO will be a huge success for everybody.

I think is fair reward to bounty hunter
is very good if alocation to signature campaign is big, above another bounty

The allocation for the signature campaign is 80%. I have joined other altcoins before and I am very excited when I saw that the amount allocated for this project’s signature campaign is big, my previous altcoins did not allocate that big. Other ICOs would only give 50 % or lower. I just hope that this project will succeed because I do really think that this will surely give big amount of money in the distribution. I know that the other participants thinks the same way.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth using bitcoins anymore for gambling ? on: July 23, 2017, 01:12:29 PM
I feel my bankroll management and savings all are highly unstable. Can go up or down by storing money in bitcoin to gamble. Some form of betting like poker requires good bankroll management and with value changing everyday, I don't see bitcoin as a good use for poker players and sportsbettors.

For me, it is more preferable to use fiat currency than bitcoin for betting in gambling. Fiat has a fixed price value compare to bitcoin. Bitcoin is so volatile that a sudden pump in its price can result into a huge gain in your money. Bitcoin’s price fluctuate up and down, unlike the fiat wherein the price is stable, a $100 is a $100 while a 1 BTC changes value and recently, it pumped again increasing up to $3000.

I do really think that using bitcoin for betting can result to a great loss in the future that is why whenever I gamble, I only used fiat and I limit the amount so I know when I should stop.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the easiest way to make a profit from gambling? on: July 23, 2017, 11:12:46 AM
For me the easiest way to make profit in gambling is when you play in short period of time like you are going to risk everything or big amount your going to use that initial deposit but it always depends on you if you really want to try this kind of method but it is totally risk i always do it by analyzation and by following others technique also don't be so greed always control your act.
i dont agree for me there is  no easy to make profit in gambling that is why it is so called gambling for it is not a type of sure profit, there is  no assurance to win in in doing it.it is only a game of prediction.

I really don't believe it also, I have been playing gambling for a long time and also before I joined this forum, I doubt if that strategy or method (if this is what you consider it) will help other people to win and gain profit in gambling. Most of the gambling games are based on luck and not all people have it. There is really no profit gained in gambling, there is only problems, debts and addiction that one greedy player can earn from playing and from a single night only.

If you are really looking for real profit, there are many other ways. Ways that are more worth of wasting time and risking money for.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: July 23, 2017, 09:00:59 AM
Many people are too greedy and lazy, they want to get rich through gambling or have a permanent source of stable income and can not stop in time. You must understand that this is entertainment, not earnings.

This is harsh realty that majority of people actually do gambling to just make quick money and not for entertainment. Due to this they actually get into the debt trap and become addictive to it as they have to now recover the looses they have made in gambling.

Yeah, that is the sad truth about it. Many have turned to gambling hoping that they will earn money through it. They think that playing gambling will be the easiest way to gain big amount of money but what mostly happen was the opposite. Instead of earning money, many players have loss big amount of money and some still have debts.

If I were them, instead of using the money for gambling, it will be much better to find a real job. Earning money may not be that fast and that easy, at least, the earning is sure.
414  Economy / Economics / Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin on: July 23, 2017, 08:20:58 AM
When is the best time to buy bitcoin and when do you think is the best time to sell?
I think its a great time to buy now but when is a good time to sell (if you have any idea please share)

Just follow the thumb rule"Buy low and sell high".Now its the best time to buy bitcoins since price is just $2250 and it may go even higher than $3000 after august 1.You could also follow the warren buffet rule,"Buy when every one is selling in panic and sell when every one is buying"

Right, there is a possibility that after the segwit, all of the price of the coins will suddenly increase. After the news about the split and segwit was announced, many users have sold their bitcoin because they were afraid that bitcoin would continue to go down. It was a great opportunity to buy bitcoin because after that, the price suddenly pumps and now it is $3000. Those who have panic selling might feel devastated because of what happened. It was a big loss after all.

It is always important for all of us to remember that we should buy at low price and sell at high price, it is a basic rule to gain profit here.
415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I hold? on: July 23, 2017, 07:43:03 AM
I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.

What other choice do you have? Holding is the best option at the moment, I expect the price to shoot up in the coming weeks. Spend your btc if you have to, but there will be serious gains very soon.

That's sure is. Holding bitcoin is great because you might notice that it is already increasing at the moment when you take a nap or the more when you sleep. No matter what the case, just keep on waiting because you can't predict but if it's really your day, then you can have a blast for your wait has paid off.

Right, if that is the situation then holding your coin is the only choice and the best choice that you have. I have experienced that with my Monaco coin, I received at the time when its price dumped. I waited for weeks for it to increase but an emergency came that I needed some money and it leaves me with no choice. Since I don't have fiat money at that time, I was forced to sell my coin then. I had set a price order hoping that the price may somehow increase and then the next day came, I learned that its price pumps to 84K when I happen to set my order to 7K only.

I admit that I felt a little regret and I was thinking that maybe if I have hold a little longer, but I really need money at that time.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: July 23, 2017, 05:44:02 AM
Yes, if a person does not know what he do in trading it will be same as gambling .Trading come from different values and you need to know more about it than you think .Many people think it was the same just because of its risk and they find it easier to gamble than making a trade because of the time you need to wait in trading which is too far not exist in gambling.

I agree with you, literally trading is not gambling, but based on how some people do trading, some of them are relying on their lucky chances to gain profit which is how gambling works. Just like in gambling, money that might be a huge amount is at stake too and there is a possibility that a trader won't succeed especially if he did not planned well where he is going to invest.

There are newbie traders who first tried trading and they end up investing on scam sites. I guess the problem there was the little knowledge and understanding that they have in trading.
417  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: July 23, 2017, 04:47:39 AM
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?
If the government control the bitcoin, there are many possibilities that the bitcoin lead to corruption but the government cannot control the bitcoin so there is no corruption that will happen.

I agree with that, it is possible that bitcoin can also lead to corruption, just like the other regular currencies, if ever the government decided to recognize and used it also. Even if the use of bitcoin is anonymous, it is not impossible for those greedy people to make it happen. I also believe that their greediness will pushed and drove them to find a way.

We know how powerful bitcoin is, the usage of it, even if it is still limited, has led many people to gain more than they can on depending at regular currencies. The investment in bitcoin and other tokens in the crypto world had led many people to have what they always wanted and to fulfill their dreams.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: July 23, 2017, 03:37:22 AM
There's a smart way to gamble and there's a dumb way to gamble....Walking away from the game when you realize that you are constantly losing is the smart way to gamble.  If what you are doing is not working, then quit and re-evaluate!  If one can evaluate their own behavior, make educated decisions, and manage their bankrolls efficiently, then they are one step ahead of the game.  Unfortunately, those skills are learned the hard way.

Right, there are people who can't walk away from playing gambling easily because it had already became their habit. Unfortunately, there are people who would choose to gamble even if they do not have any money to use for betting anymore. Many people have decided to quit gambling for their own good, some have succeeded but some did not. I guess the temptation of playing gambling is stronger than their will to leave gambling.

I am a gambler also and I play online. I know how exciting it could be but I always see to it that I won't get addicted to it. I have witnessed some of my close friends getting addicted and I don't want that to happen to me.

419  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 21, 2017, 10:13:24 PM
bitcoin is too safer and secure and its transaction is very faster and bitcoin transaction fees is very lower.

The bitcoin block size is small, the transaction traffic is congested. So it will not be used widely by the ordinary people in the future as the fee is too high.

That is my concern as well. I am afraid that the bitcoin will be replaced by other popular fast digital coins in the future.

Right, we do not know what will really happen in the future. Generally speaking, crypto currencies and not just bitcoin, are getting more and more popular these days. We are not sure if bitcoin will be the number 1 crypto currency in the future. There are many crypto currencies that exists and it just happen that bitcoin is more popular than the others. We can not guarantee that, the modern technology advances as the time goes by and we do not know if someday a new crypto that is better than bitcoin will exist. But I am sure that the replacement will not be that easy, there are many bitcoin users now and if ever a new crypto appears, I am sure that it will not easily beat bitcoin.

Compared to cash, bitcoin are more convenient to use for online transactions and also that its volatility had made many people to earn and gain profit at higher prices. Cash can't do that, this is why, many people including me would prefer to have and invest in bitcoin.
