401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Counting Cards -- a Dirty Cheat or a Legit Skill? on: May 14, 2020, 03:12:27 PM
Here I primarily refer to the blackjack variety of card games and similar games where you can gain advantage by counting cards, i.e. taking notice and remembering the cards which have already been seen. As far as I know, brick'n'mortar casinos are likely to kick you out once they see that you are counting cards as this is a cheat according to their books. However, and this is a tricky part, I can't fathom how anyone could reliably determine whether you are practicing this technique or not. And then, I, for one, would consider it a skill rather than a cheat

What's your take?

How can you call that a cheat game ? If a person have a smart and sharp mind, he can remember the cards already seen and play accordingly. I will call it a skill rather than a cheat. Also how can casino kick you out, if you count the cards in your mind. They should never know whats going in your mind.  Smiley

I would not consider it as a cheating because during school days what we had being taught is to remember and write down in exams and so that focus one will develop overs the years. Now in the same way by staying focus I remember the cards which are played, and which are remaining and accordingly I play the game. Also its the mind game so any would not know if they calculate int he mind and show that they do are not keeping a track of it.
402  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: May 14, 2020, 08:56:48 AM
It seems that we have a coronavirus for a long time. It is clear that quarantine measures will, to varying degrees, last until the end of this year. However, it seems that we are confidently approaching the onset of the global economic crisis. This will drag on for years. In addition, we still do not know how this fight against coronavirus will end. He can continue to mutate.

The way it is spreading in some countries now also does not look good and also in US it is killing a lot many people and highest in the world it has affected population ad also the death. We are in very bad situation as such because economy has already taken a hit, many labourers are returning back to their homes and does not guarantee if they will be back again for the work in other cities too soon.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 14, 2020, 06:38:24 AM
Yeah its true but it can be manage as India has 4-6 different seasons throughout the year, depends how you look at it. Domestic games gets lined up during the winter season so they can do thing or two during this 2 month window (Dec-Jan) if they are really serious about it.
If that is the case they can start with experimenting with domestic games and with Sourav Ganguly in the leadership role he will do things that will make a difference and with cricket as the nation sport in India and with a huge fan base is will make things interesting for the spectators to see matches in a lively pitch where the competition is between the skills of a player rather than playing in flat tracks.

In past Ganguly was player or captain and he was revolutionary person done few experiments and have very good results as he was alone incharg in the field but now he is just President and going with team he cannot take all decsions alone so this is really big problem with him otherwise now time for big changes and these can really bring big impact on Indian cricket system and team for very long run.

Things will change gradually, and the voices will come for the experimentation as well now in coming times. Even the legends will voice for it and accordingly we will see this to happen and also a good thing to have some young talent as well in the team along with experienced players. This is will also create backup in the long run.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remove the bad influencer from your life! on: May 13, 2020, 04:06:54 PM
I agree we should not believe those fudders because they just trying manipulate the price, they just want to dump the price of cryptos so you will get panic sell and once they succeed they will buy it at cheap price, that's their strategy.

One should avoid such  people and also use our own research in buying/selling the coins. This people work for their benefit only and they will only want to have their own profit. So always follow you own research and instinct and not to get even panic when some fall happens as it could just for a short term and in longer time the market can recover quickly or may take times but will happen eventually. Also do not invest in any coin said by anyone unless you think it is good to invest in it.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if you have 1 btc what would be the coin that you buy and hold ? on: May 13, 2020, 03:42:18 PM
If I have one Bitcoin I don't see any reason to opt to other coins, I'd rather hold that Bitcoin for future advantages and find other means to get money to invest in ethereum, seriously I don't have plan for other coins than these two

For people who has a good appetite to take risk can hold the bitcoin for a longer term and yes for those who have 1 btc means a lot and want to avoid risk can diversify and convert the btc to some other alt coins . ETH , GAS, BNB seems to the pick for some of them and also on the dips can be bought for medium to long term as well. Everyone likes different coins and not necessary needs to be the same.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am feeling Regret on: May 13, 2020, 01:24:41 PM
A very large number of bitcoins you have, but no need to regret that bitcoin will definitely return to the price of $ 10k soon.
Now the price of bitcoin has risen again to $ 8900. My advice is that if the 44 bitcoins you own will not be used in the near future,
should hold until the end of 2021. Because according to my prediction around the end of 2021 bitcoin can return to the price of $ 20k.
And one more thing you should not store bitcoin in an online wallet, because it can be the target of hackers. It's better to save it in
the hardware wallet, which is more safer.

This is really unfortunate for op and for others to learn. As for your 2021 prediction, $20k is rather a small price. I think by that time, price will likely get to 30k. Is now a time to carefully hodl.

Op should not be getting panicked as its a volatility and investing in crypto it is a part of it. BTC is back at 9100$ already so one has to stay invested and in future we will see it crossing 11k levels as well easily and yes if holding 44 btc genuinely should park it in offline rather than storing it online. Hope you can diversify as well and buy some there coins as well.
407  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 INVESTING BTC, LTC and DOGE is OPEN NOW on: May 13, 2020, 01:17:06 PM
few hours back someone invested like 4000 LTC in the YOLOdice bankroll  Cool it almost halved the rest of the investor's percentage share in the bankroll.
What the heck? That's a hell amount of money. How can someone risk a huge amount of money that is round $ 169,000  Shocked

This made me to finally decide to invest the payout in my signature campaign. I'll be posting my investment as soon as possible after getting my payout and I am so excited about this!

Edit: If there is someone who has a major contribution in the bankroll, Is it dangerous to other investors if that whale decided to divest his investment? Will it affect other cryptocurrency or just that particular coin?

Definitely this is huge amount of money invested and never thought somebody could just invest without diversifying under one thing only. I think only for LTC it will divest it and rest of the coin the things would remain same. But yes, once he withdraws suddenly all the % of share will be back to normal and will depend upon how long it will be staying invested.
408  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: May 13, 2020, 07:53:35 AM
Using cryptocurrencies precisely as a medium of exchange is difficult not only in Africa, so I very much doubt that there will be some kind of strong breakthrough, especially when you consider that many people do not have internet access or smartphones.

uneven internet access and the economic ability to buy a smartphone are common obstacles to implementing cryptocurrencies as payment, in the next few decades, several countries in Africa will definitely be a good place for crypto

I agree with you that Africa is a really good place for crypto Africa has improved a lot in the past and has supported crypto Their internet speed has become much faster. Everything is being accessed and most people are using their crypto through their smartphones This is improving their country's economy and increasing the demand for crypto.

Though exactly not sure how is the country situation and how much spend the people can do it, their infrastructure, their education and literacy etc will also determine how well the people can get used to it and government can plan to implement in coming years. It would always be a better if the country pushes the reforms and in this digital world crypto will be playing a huge role and this could also help many ways in which we do transitions previously and now and also people get more self employed though crypto as a way of trading, investing, creating worthwhile coins or any other businesses supporting crypto.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 13, 2020, 07:47:50 AM
Bilateral cricket crucial in post-COVID climate - BCCI treasurer

TLDR:
Q: How much loss if IPL doesn't takes place?
A: Around INR 4000 crore.... approximately $400 Millions?... please someone do the math Grin

Q : Priority from now on?
A : Health but if there is any opportunity available then would like to see IPL.

This is really the big money involved and also states would like to get benefits of tax and other things which would help them make some money. Now thing is that rains will begin, and nothing could happen before October. After that their would-be series of some countries lined up and not possible to get the top players for IPL. So will a mini IPL format could be considered here and where players can play for couple of matches and go back something like that only could happen. Will depend on how cases constantly rise or fall in Covid and then only anything will be thought.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: May 12, 2020, 05:11:02 PM

But anyway, I can not judge and blame all those people because we are all different, we have different story in life.
Yes we couldn't judge them because we don't know what are their reason why they got addicted to it,
We don't know what they have seen or felt on it and why do they still cling to it even if they are losing money or everything on it.
But I guess I understand some of them because I once cling on gambling because I was lonely and gambling makes me feel happy and complete at that time.
That is the reason why I don't play gambling because once that you're became an addict, you cannot stop the addiction unless you really wanted to or when you choose to seek help with the professionals. Addiction is not a joke, if you are an addict you will di whatever you wanted to even if you lose your money a couple of times you will still find a way to earn just for gambling. This is the reason why some addicts are triggered to do bad things such as robbery and holdap just for the sake of their addiction.

Self-discipline or self-control is so very must in life because it will not only save from gambling but any such addiction which can be dangerous in long term. And in gambling as it involves money and people run after it and sees it as a shortcut to make quick money easily so their try their luck and continuously trying again and again over a period of time they do not even realize it when they start getting used to it.
411  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Halvings impact on Bitcoins price on: May 12, 2020, 05:06:31 PM
Do I get it right that we have no significant impact of halving? It was predictable. Well, I'm glad that the crypto market has become older and we have more sustainable financial model than previously.

Nothing major happened as such in last 48 hours or so. I was expecting some volatility during this period to happen but it was a smooth ride as such with little on a downside. Though it has reclaimed 9k levels back and probably if it remains stable and slowly keep rising this will be helpful for us to see 10k levels soon in coming time.
412  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Compare two Cryptocurrency before Investment on: May 12, 2020, 11:43:13 AM
Thank you for creating this site. Also, in coming time would be looking to have many more comparison at a single point of time as currently it is restricted to 2 coins only. This will helpful when required some information of some coins along with the past and can be seen on this site. Hope it does well in coming time and new features are being added with regular updates.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC Halving and its effect on gambling on: May 12, 2020, 11:39:59 AM
BTC halving would definitely have a significant change to the Cryptocurrency gambling industry especially with the halving event many people including non crypto users would want to include themselves to the hype and will create FOMO to buy BTC and cryptocurrency thus leading more players to online casino's.

I was thinking that isn't now more players who used to gamble with btc may either switch to fiat or may be to some other altcoins as due to halving the supply will now reduce, the demand if rises will lead to rise in price an in gambling losing out chances is higher to why to lose out the precious btc instead it could be done with fiat or altcoins. So people may save btc now more than before.
414  Economy / Economics / Re: Rookie thing. on: May 12, 2020, 06:11:44 AM

Not a rookie question in my opinion, you dig deep.
Fiat will not disappear, it will just go digital like the governments are doing as of now.  But if it really will disappear, we are going to price everything for satoshis I guess, this is if we really are going to consider BTC because there are lots more. Some may prefer the low transaction fee crypto.  If I buy a phone I may be paying it for 0.0001 BTC or ETH.

Government will never want their currency to vanish as that makes them powerful when the world accepts it. So for countries where they are really poor and their currency is devalued and does not value much may accept bitcoin to much greater extent but some big countries may never want their currency to get disappear form the market. Though the use of btc may keep on rising but so will their national currency without it getting obsolete.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a professional gambler on your own way. on: May 12, 2020, 06:05:43 AM
I honestly think if you get over with emotions while playing this will affect your over-all performance same as any sports and games. You sometimes bet in a game using just pure luck or just in a gist. Just accept the fact that losing is part of the risk that you have taken when you decided to gamble in the first place. As said, even profesional gamblers had their bad days and kept going on.

One thing over years I have understood and also seen the the moment you mix your emotions in gambling you end up on a losing note more frequently. Both has to be kept out and when playing professionally you should mean business that sit. If you ending on a loss you have to take a hard decision to quit before it becomes late and when you have made profit you should also know playing for long would mean that chances of losing may rise so should be quitting at right time.
416  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin halving's 3 possible scenarios. on: May 11, 2020, 05:00:51 PM
I chose the huge panic selling. All I see is news about people hoping to see bitcoin price increase after the halving. But won't understand that if they stop buying bitcoin, the price will not increase as expected. After the halving and what they expected of bitcoin to do, it doesn't happen. They will likely sell their coins putting the bitcoin price at risk. I hope they start buying again after the price has started increasing weak later after the halving.

I expect the prices to increase slowly if not all of the sudden. I also expect many investors to buy the crypto for the next few months consdi3ring the global economy and this will yield the more demand and as halving will reduce the mining of bitcoin the price will grow eventually. Though it may take some time but do expect the prices to rebound from this level.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 11, 2020, 03:22:11 PM
Tbh there is no chance for IPL this year, but considering the current scenario in India, it wouldn't come as a surprise if the Govt asks BCCI to go on with the tournament to get some taxes. Even when the number of cases are rising day by day, the Govt has relaxed the lockdown conditions and I'm sure the situation is going only to be worse.
But I think there is hope for T20 world cup in Australia as the conditions are getting better there.

As cases are on rise government already have many things to look at and would not like to take any chances and considering this where gathering is a mass number they would avoid it. Another option just could be without audiences the match is played and but then too with this some ground staff would be require and just in case if any covid case happened to player this may just fall back badly on government and opposition party will tear them.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time on: May 11, 2020, 11:17:12 AM
This is not a very good time for investment. But it depends which coin you pick. Cause market is already pumped. And also it's a bit volatile. You are absolutely right that Dev's should not release bad project cause it shadow bad impacts in the market. Also those who are new to this market don't go for fast investment . First stay and learn form the market after that go for investment. That will help.

Almost now 8 hours to go for the bitcoin halving and we had already seen some from from the 10k levels. We may have a good upside from here as volatility would exists in the coming time as well and could even go 10k levels again and for a shirt term profit could be easily make in coming time. Also, for some specific coins could also see the rise if picked correctly.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayor Of Las Vegas wants the whole city open, including casinos and stadiums on: May 11, 2020, 10:23:57 AM
That would be crazy, there is still a pandemic and they plan to do business, this is what happens when people ignore science, they will abandon all reason just so they can earn a profit. The worse thing here is that they are abandoning their ethical and moral obligation to the citizens of Las Vegas, I get that their place will not function because most of the businesses there is gambling and that "they care" about the people not getting a paycheck to put food for the table but would you sacrifice the well being of your biggest natural resource which is human resource, this action is a face palm for me, truly disappointing.
I think they just don't have any other choice because their economy is starting to fall drastically, and this is something that they don't want to happen. They think that this is the only solution for their problems, this is crazy because it will look like they are disregarding the safety of their citizen and by doing this, they won't apply social distancing, and people won't stay in their homes.

Majorly economy of the world has taken a hit and not just one city. Many countries are under lock down from few weeks now and it has not only taken a backseat of economy many people would be turning jobless in coming time. This is going to be a very big crisis in coming time and safety is the first measure which can prevent many things. Else if it continues to rise this way the world will have many deaths of the people which we would not want. It all depends upon people if they can maintain the law and order with social distance then things could be under control else it can have adverse effect as well.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is OKEX a good exchange? on: May 11, 2020, 04:48:20 AM
Okex is a good exchange cause i already tried trading my coins there before, but if i will pick between okex and binance i would choose binance cause ive already tested the exchange many times and i had no problem on it.
Binance has better service support than okex. I have the same opinion as you regarding okex but there was a thing that makes me feel bad with it caused by it has already used the bot. In the credibility and okex can be trusted because i have never encountered any problem when try to deal with okex.

In terms of visibility and popularity binance will continue to be ahead then okex and also as people do not face any issues with binance and its easy to use features with really good trading fee, No kyc required if you are a small time investors or trader and can withdraw 2 btc at a time etc features make it a good exchange for people to trade crypto. It also has a good referral scheme too.
