I'm not talking about "locked withdrawals". Poloniex is a great exchange which I've been using for years. Doesn't anyone else see the message I quoted?

BTC is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled as we work to find, test, and audit a solution. Thank you for your patience in the meantime.
This warning has been on for more than 30 hours. What's going on? Nobody can withdraw or make a deposit? This cannot last...

Is this real?
Sorry to disappoint you but LLCs are restricted to simple businesses. In European countries, you can't start an investment trading corporation under the easy regulations of a LLC.

I'm expecting to be taxed at the same rate as my regular income: 0%. Sometimes I think that if everybody was living the way I do, governments would go bankrupt. It would be so great! There would be no more war!

I don't pay tax and I'm very happy about it. I've burned my social security card and I'm very happy about it. I don't vote and I'm very happy about it. I'm not on facebook and I'm very happy about it. Etc...
If everyone was like me, there would be no war.
I really wish that the government would have given me that option of either paying my taxes or not voting because I will without a moment of though pick the latter because regardless of who comes to power, they are all the same people. No government will ever give you that choice. I made that choice all by myself. Don't wait!

Not at all... Tax money is used for the development of the society
No, not development. Control of society. Management of society. If you like to be controlled, if you like to walk on a path which has been traced by someone else, you may like tax, but if you believe in freedom, if you believe it is your right to decide alone everything about your life, you don't like tax, nor do you like the idea of government.

Obviously, this is good for BTC. To a newcomer who discovers more than 2,000 cryptocurrencies, he won't know what they are, so he'll most likely stick to the first one.
It's also crazy. There are now nearly ten times more cryptocurrencies than there are countries on the planet. It makes no sense.

That means turning every human on Earth into a slave. I will never pay any tax on my BTC profits, just like I've stopped paying income tax in 1997.
It depends on the country that you have ran to. If you have eloped to a country where they don't joke with tax issues, you will still be traced and hooked to pay up your tax and if they also tax on bitcoin, you will be made to pay up. No, sir. I will never pay income tax anymore. I'm not running, and no country can hook up with me for any reason. It hasn't been easy, but it's legal. I've been doing it for 20 years, so I know it works.

Poor articles written by stupid people. The price of BTC in Iran is exactly the same as anywhere else in the world. You just need to know that Iranian people do not have dollars. They use the local Iranian currency, which is sharply down, compared to the US dollar. I guess some people have calculated that price with wrong data. Quite likely the official exchange rate, which is fixed by the Iranian government, but totally out of touch with reality.

In any case, I think it is necessary to have an international cooperation system.
That means turning every human on Earth into a slave. I will never pay any tax on my BTC profits, just like I've stopped paying income tax in 1997. I suggest you leave your country right away, and never go back. Less money going to governments is more money for you and your family.

I can't understand how there's still some people with unverified accounts at Poloniex. I remember seeing their warning that all accounts must be verified last year! Your coins are safe, and they're yours, but I guess you don't care about them. Otherwise, you would have started the verification process long time ago.

I'm everyday on Poloniex and Bitfinex. Nothing has changed, except the bottom of the page which says they're in MA instead of DE. I haven't used support for ages, everything is fine. Except when I think that BTC is about to go up, and it goes down (or vice-versa).

Poor debate and poor article, because the claims about the energy consumption of banks is not documented. More than that, I just cannot imagine how it would be possible to calculate the energy consumption of all banks in the world. What's the method? How to get the data? Does anyone thinks it's possible to walk into a bank, and ask politely how much electricity they've consumed the past month? This is secret information.
There's no doubt the banking sector needs huge quantity of electricity, but then, their services are huge. I'm always amazed when I'm in Asia to see that transactions from my European credit card are accepted within seconds. if the banking sector total energy consumption is only 3 times more than BTC, this is quite terrible news for BTC...

Well, this is hardly news. All income, and that includes capital gains from cryptocurrencies, shall be declared and taxed. That's the way it is in most countries. I guess successful might go and look elsewhere, unless of course, the tax rate is very low. Too bad, the article's author forgot to mention it.

A correct answer requires more information.
What do you want to get? US$? €? BTC? How many sales a month? BTC only or other cryptos should also accepted?
There are many answers...

Saudi Arabia is a muslim country where alcohol is banned, where a woman cannot wear a skirt, and where changing religion is punished by death.
You can't expect a country like that to accept cryptos...

Well, I thought this subject would attract more replies; but I guess Iran is quite far from the top ten when people think about their next vacation. My plan is to travel to Iran, and then up North to Azerbaijan and Georgia, with Ukraine as my final destination. I don't know how long I'll be able to stay in Iran as I require good Internet, but I believe the Iranian people need guys like me to show them some support. I can do it, so I'll get there.

I've never been to Iran. I've met a few Iranians around the world though (in Paris, Berlin and Los Angeles), and those I met were nice people. I certainly don't support their muslim government, but I think America' sanctions on that country are unfair. To support the people, I'm seriously considering traveling to Iran and spend some money there. It's assuredly too hot for me right now, but I shall be visiting Iran this autumn.
Is anyone else thinking that Trump is mad about Iran? Is anyone else thinking about visiting that country?
