Hard to believe that the Indo-Europeans, negros, and the Japanese are descended from Adam and Eve.

Why do you find that hard to believe?

According to the genetic and paleontological record, we only started to leave Africa between 60,000 and 70,000 years ago. What set this in motion is uncertain, but we think it has something to do with major climatic shifts that were happening around that time—a sudden cooling in the Earth’s climate driven by the onset of one of the worst parts of the last Ice Age. This cold snap would have made life difficult for our African ancestors, and the genetic evidence points to a sharp reduction in population size around this time. In fact, the human population likely dropped to fewer than 10,000. We were holding on by a thread.

It is the survivors of this near extinction who appear to have made some form of fundamental technological, social or evolutionary leap that allowed humanity to break the prior constraints which had kept its population small and limited to Africa.

Quote
The authors found genetic evidence for a surge in human population size about 40,000 to 50,000 years ago. This period, just after humans first set foot outside Africa, is of great interest to archaeologists because it coincides with a dramatic increase in the sophistication of human behavior. People began crafting tools from bone, burying their dead and fashioning clothing to keep themselves warm in cool climates. They developed complex hunting techniques, and created great works of art in the form of cave paintings and jewelry.

The archaeological record also shows that during this time, humans began hunting more dangerous prey and more easily exploiting small game like rabbits and birds. They traveled farther than they had before, perhaps due to the growth of long-distance trade routes – the first of their kind. Jared Diamond, author of The Third Chimpanzee, calls this period “The Great Leap Forward,” when humans burst forth culturally – finally separating themselves from their evolutionary cousins.

The exact cause for these changes in human behavior may never be known. Some believe a simple genetic mutation or that the evolution of language could have sparked such a dramatic change. But what we do know now, thanks to this new genetic research, is that like the (much later) invention of agriculture this explosion of innovation was accompanied by population growth.

In the Biblical story of Adam and Eve Our ancestors are warned not to eat of the fruit of the “Etz Hadaath,” the “Tree of Knowledge” for as long as They did not eat of it, they were like angels who do only good. The fruit of the “Tree of Knowledge,” however, changed this.

People interpret this story in different ways but I tend to view it as instructive parable. A primitive species in a natural competitive equilibrium can be thought of as living in a garden. Breaching this equilibrium requires knowledge. Sometime around 70,000 years ago our ancient ancestors acquired the knowledge needed to explosively overcome the constraints that had previously kept our numbers and progress in check. We ceased living as a part of nature and began to dominate it.

This breakthrough led to the spread of humanity throughout the world and possibly made inevitable the later agricultural revolution. Having broken our natural constraints we are now compelled to continue our relentless climb up the tree of knowledge until we grow knowledgeable enough to voluntarily establish new ones for ourselves.

Ya know after reading this it sure seems like humans were created in Africa some 60,000 to 70,000 years ago. Before that we were just neanderthals.

So I guess "gods" created us by altering neanderthals dna and out we came with intelligence. Just like that.. sure.. gods.. okay. idiots.

OP, may i ask how much you earn per month and how much you would be willing to invest to proof without a doubt (!!) that flat earth is real and everything else a hoax?

There are several methods of doing so depending on how much money you are willing to spend.

Put your money where your mouth is!

This thread is about rockets and fraud. Like the fraud perpetrated on the British taxpayer by the Royal Aircraft Establishment with their BLACK ARROW rocket program in the 1960's.

You mean the UK Goatse Rocket?

After seeing that pic I just had a flashback of Moonraker.

TL:DW Version -- Petrified Forest Hoax!

What did he say in few words?

He said that rocks are just dead silicone life. Mountains are broken petrified trees (giant trees that were supposedly 62km tall), Mesas are chopped down giant trees.

He did have some interesting arguments when he pointed out the hexagonal structures that make up mesas such as Devil's Tower. Oh, the earth is a massive quarry according to him. He believes this because water erosion of stone, such as the grand canyon, looks like a quarry that was mined with heavy equipment. He also said that if you believe the earth is flat then you're 1/2 way there. I wonder what you have to believe to get the other 1/2?

This is a bee https://i.imgur.com/fbd5FvR.jpg and I fucking hate bees and I don't want to use the insert the image function in case one of you all hate them too.  I had to resist the urge to puke while pulling this picture off Google and I could barely watch it. When I was little I was stung by a bee while in Switzerland on vacation several times, and maybe it wasn't a bee but one of those other things that look similar and behave the same disgusting way. At one point I stepped on one while on a walk in the mountains and ever since I'm very scared for them.

You know the things you are scared for because something happened when you were little is super powerful stuff. I know if I am stung by a bee nothing will really happen to me but I am fine with not taking any chances and I know it's a powerful psychological thing buried deep in my childhood and you don't mess with that neither do you overcome it just like that.

If somebody can recommend a sort of weapon I can use on very long range to kill bees please do here. I wish I could kill them all and erase them from earth I don't even care what they do for nature they should all die.

Bees pollinate our crops and make seeds so that we can continue to grow food. Without bees there would not be enough food to feed everyone. So you either live with the bees or live with armed gangs hunting YOU down for food. Life sure would be a lot more interesting in that scenario.

You're doing and ICO in the USA and with a registered company. I thought there was all kinds of legal work that needs to be done before you can sell these coins. I sure hope you guys consulted a lawyer because you could get in a lot of trouble over this. Maybe I'm wrong but still I thought it was worth mentioning. I wouldn't want to see like minded people locked up over something like this.
450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is your race and/or religion? on: July 22, 2016, 07:04:06 PM
Atheists who want religious eliminated requires warfare? No friend, it requires education. Those well educated are more likely to be critical of the fairy tails they're told as children are reality. Smiley
Right. Atheist that don't want to tolerate religion are just afraid that people might be ignorant in what's happening in real life because these people has been blinded with fantasies.

absolutely not.. atheists are always tolerating all the religious beliefs on earth but i am sure that fundamentalists abd bigots dont tolerate atheists . they want to chop their head off or torture them accusing of being non- believers. this thing is a total bullshit. everybody has freedom of belief or being a non-believer ..

I don't agree with this.
In many public schools, courts, government offices in USa and many Western countries, believers are not free to express their faith, or to wear religious symbols or to talk about religion.
They can even be fired if talking about religion or expressing opinions based on the holy scripts.
I don't call it freedom at all.
No, atheists persecute religious people now in the Western world, not other way around.

They just don't want to hear it anymore. You can't convince someone of a fantasy deity that doesn't believe in those things. So when you religious people, god bless you, start to go off and quote scripture and stuff. The regular people get mad because its like you keep trying to convince them they they are bad or doing something wrong when in fact they see the opposite. They think its you who are bad because you keep trying to convince them of something that isn't true. So maybe just keep your beliefs to yourself.

452  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We Could Be Living In Simulation Says Elon Musk on: July 21, 2016, 05:44:39 PM
We are more than the sum of our parts. We invent ideas witch are not part of our original programing. This gives me hope that anything is possible.
Why would they run this simulation, if they already knew what would evolve from it? They would not.

Maybe for entertainment purposes...?  What if people from the real world enter the sim to be entertained and basically to play this game called life.  Imagine playing Grand Theft Auto but in a more realistic setting.  I know I'd pay to play that game to be quite honest.

Or maybe for experimentation purposes.  Maybe they wanna see how humans lived in different historical times.  We could be a sim right inside a museum, or in a lab somewhere like an ant farm where everyone can be observed by the people up there in the real world.

The reality is, who knows why...  Then again, if this is really the real world, what is the purpose of all this?

Why does the world have to have a purpose? Why do we have to have a purpose? This is the reality and there is no simulation. We are here because we are. There is nothing special about us, our planet or our consciousness. I believe this, our reality, exists in abundance all over the universe.

Its hard enough to get me off my ass to catch pokemon, and thats fun, kinda, for now..

This type of distribution is just stupid. No one is going to get off their asses to collect coins that are worth no more than a fraction of a cent. Its a complete waste of time and it will die, like GEOcoin did.

That would indeed be a miracle something only the real one could do. Grin

This isn't going to launch, not by this dev anyways..

I see alot of posts here saying its the French government's fault for going into other countries and attacking other countries. Well I say they had no choice and in fact dropped the ball on ISIS. Everything was going well up until the bleeding hearts made the troops pull back. Now the war is in your streets and your children are being killed. Are you happy now? You got what you wanted... You should have just let the military finish what they started.

Those specs are fine for playing video games and other regular computer stuff. Don't expect to be able to mine with that card. Your CPU probably makes more hashes than the Radeon HD 3450.
