1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a first for a Crypto Currency? on: November 20, 2014, 07:09:03 PM
I don't know what paysafecards are but you can use your bank card or credit card on certain exchanges such as Cryptsy and Ghash.io. So I would say marketing hype..

Look at the liquidity of any coin you are interested in. That alone should tell you whether or not its a good investment.

1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Zerovert - First Truly & Only Anonymous Coin with Zerocoin | Mandatory Upgrade ! on: November 18, 2014, 09:56:27 PM
fair answers but what's about source code ?

I would also like to know the exact amount of premined coins.

Algorithm: Scrypt-N, merge-mineable with Vertcoin (VTC)
Generation: 8.4 million ZER
Block time: 10 minutes
Block Rewards: 10 coins per block
Allocation: 2% allocated to the ZeroVert Foundation for future development, .5% allocated for free giveaways

Here is my math,

2.5% of 8.4 millions is 210k coins
60coins are mined each hours so, there is 60 * 24 *30 = 43.2k coins mined first month
in 6 month this is 259k coins
in crypto world, 6 month is a lot,  at this point devs will possess 210k coins from a 469k cap, this is 45% of coins supply.

Can you give link to blockchain explorer ? I would like to see the wallet with premined fund and be sure that the dumps don't come from this wallet.

I never bother with coins that have a premine like this. There is only one reason for it... DUMP! once the price gets high enough. Everyone else is left holding their cocks. Happens in crypto over and over again.

No block found after half an hour of mining  Shocked

how blocks are coming if the pool has nothing... omg, something is wrong

No worries, coins is at block 87 (no reward block) so nothing lost yet. I guess that insta-mine protection is good for other things too.

Surprised that no one has scanned the windows wallet with Virus Total as of yet.

No worries, nothing found but the same old bitcoinminer hit from NOD32.

1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PFC] ProfitCoin | 1st coin backed by hashrate | X13 | 20% Premine on: November 17, 2014, 07:22:30 PM
Good coin!  Grin  Cheesy  NOT!

The community mining this will only take 2.7 Years to mine a total of 2 million coins, which is your pre-mine. I guess the reason you called it profitcoin was and inside joke to you guys. Well, guess what, we ain't that stoopid.

x13 gets FPGA farm raped. Bad choice if you want a fair coin. Scrypt or Sha256 is the only way to go imo. People need to get rid of their GPUs and upgrade to ASICS. GPU algos are ported to FPGA farms lately making GPU mining completely unprofitable and unfair. GPU mining is dead.

1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SEC] ScarceCoin | POOLS NEEDED | Launch 17 nov - 19UTC 14EST on: November 17, 2014, 01:53:20 PM
Only few hours left! Good luck

add an extra hour and a half to launch time. With block reward 0 for the first 100 blocks might as well let the dev mine those blocks.

Block #2-#100   0 SEC (prevent instamine)  +  1 blocks to retarget difficulty  =  Dev doesn't know what he is talking about. yawn.. You can throw 1 Gh at this, if the diff re-adjust works there is no possible way to instamine this coin.

Interest is scarce.

1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a thread for abandoned coins? on: November 14, 2014, 06:56:22 PM
If you're looking to invest, don't look beyond Top 20 or even Top 10 at coinmarketcap.com to play safe with your money. Other than that, why would you need a list of abandoned coins, there must be too many of them not to care about.

Not looking to invest or trade any of them. I'd like to find an abandoned coin and take it over and build on to it.

Here is Black Dragon Coin, it was just recently abandoned. Lots of potential to expand it since its just a plain vanilla coin.

See dogecoin and litecoin. They are merge mining.  Cool

Smokin' some good dope? Why resurrect this years old thread?
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-Ann] GROW - It is time to grow some dope on: November 12, 2014, 07:48:11 PM
if there is no ico and a pow stage i will give it a try

im a marihuana enthousiast 2 Smiley

brb just hit a bong^^

I too am a cannabis enthusiast and was a grower. Its just too bad I gave up that awesome hobby for mining. What a fucking tool I am.

Anyhow, good thing for moms. My mom gave me a bag of weed she kept from one of my outdoor grows. She is so awesome! Now I can get high again, forget stuff and not care about stupid shit for a while. Maybe mining this will help a little.

You have a really nice mom then!  Grin awesome

And if you mine you can earn coins to buy seeds!
Joining the ico will get you 3 free seeds with free shipping when you invest a minimum of 0.1 btc. More info about this tomorrow in the OP Wink

I'm going to mine and buy seeds with the coins I mine. White Widow will be the first one I order from you. Eager to see what else you have.

As for the Haze plants, I haven't had a keeper in the sativa leaning strains yet. So I'm weary of growing those out. I think hybrids are where its at for good cannabis.

1236  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are you going as for Halloween? on: November 08, 2014, 02:15:39 AM
So, was anyone mistakenly given a marijuana edible instead of regular candy this Halloween? Grin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZMwIm8N2CY (Watch Out For Weed Infused Candy This Halloween, 4 minutes long, from TYT)

From the description of the video:

Quote
With marijuana now legal in Colorado and cannabis candy a big part of the scene, Denver police are issuing an unusual warning ahead of Halloween. In short, they want people to know that not all candy is for kids.

“With edibles gaining in popularity we thought it was important to alert the community to the possibility that it's easy to mistake what looks like regular candy with a marijuana edible,” Denver police spokesman Lt. Matt Murray told Fox31 Denver.

The department recruited Patrick Johnson, owner of Urban Dispensary, to create a video (above) showing how pot candies can resemble traditional candies. Johnson said some manufacturers of "knocked-off candy" buy sweets in bulk and then spray them with hash oil. Once the oil dries, there's no way to tell the difference.

The comments after that Youtube video had me lmao.

What a lame attempt at demonizing something completely innocent. What self respecting pot head would give away their edibles to begin with? NONE!
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitSharesX -- out of nowhere? on: November 07, 2014, 09:14:44 PM
Bitshares is a good project, stamp of approval here.

Well it is still new lets see how long they will last this time. PTS is already done you can see this today.

That's because on Nov 5th BitShares PTS became part of BitSharesX, they also added BitShares DNS and also as yet unreleased BitShares VOTE. So now the X will drop from BitSharesX and it will just be one BitShares platform.

So BitShares PTS is falling cuz it's pretty much over in its current form. Some people are looking at rebranding it as just PTS and continuing it that way.

You jokeing ? Aren't you ? So what happed to the people that bought at 20$ ? They fucked now?

PTS isn't a regular coin it gets you shares in new projects. So people who held it at at the end of Feb got shares in BitSharesX, since then PTS was also given shares in BitShares DNS (Namecoin but much cooler.) and that had a $6 million value before the merger. They also got shares in BitShares Music http://peertracks.com/ which is still raising funds & also BitShares VOTE & Play. So owning PTS got you PTS and shares in all those things if you held it on the snapshot date.

On Nov 5th they were merged & given shares in the new BitShares (BitShares X is dropping the X)

So yeah they've done pretty well and as I say people are looking at carrying on PTS as it's own thing, but BitShares PTS is being entirely merged into the new BitShares at no.4 this week.

I would also like to add that people who bought PTS at $20.00 each got their value back, and then some, in BTSX. Now with the final merge that happened Nov 5 they got even more. So it held its value accordingly and now is dropping because all that value has been put into the new super DAC BTS.

Looking forward to seeing BTS move to #2 in the next few months. I'm sure we will get there.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins that generate coins on: November 07, 2014, 09:07:23 PM
NXT generates more NXT through the forging process.

SWARM generates other coins through the dividend process (if kept in Counterwallet).

Are there others?

ummm.. you mean like every PoS coin?

Someone made a good thread about high % PoS coins that you could make a living off, if you had enough of them. Lemme see if I can find it for you..

Here it is. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=783697.0

If I were you I would just invest in Pinkcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=836437.0 Check out their threads, they have lotteries and 50/50 draws. You could win 1Mil pink and be an pinkillionaire!

1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the coomunity is against preminig, how should developer survive? on: November 07, 2014, 08:59:40 PM
If you can't survive then don't code experimental stuff. Get a job so you can buy food you know.

This line always sees to amaze me when coders really think bitcoin is free money land.

why the hell should a dev code for free?
and why you miners are allowed to make money?

hahaha, Miners make money? No, this hasn't happened since 2013.

Devs who scam make all the money now. Everyone else just watches crypto go into the toilet.

So sad!

You want to make money mining? You need a time machine.
