1401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: fuck scam coin on: August 01, 2014, 02:23:11 AM
 Angry

Happens.. to me too  Cry  So I only invest in coins with real dev teams. Bitshares, Etherium, XCP, NXT, etc.. fuck the scam coins you will always get burned in the end.

1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NRS|NoirShares] POW ENDING at 50k | DACs | MANDATORY WALLET UPDATE 6/23/2014 on: July 31, 2014, 03:12:08 PM
I don't want to believe this is happening. I invested in this coin, mined this coin from the beginning. First with all my CPUs then later with all my GPUs. FUCK! All those months of mining wasted all that electricity all those BTC.

Barwizi, if you are still there say something.
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN-QUID X11 Launching Soon NO Premine NO IPO ~24hr POW- Money without the Paper on: July 29, 2014, 07:53:13 PM
No thanks.

But I'm sure you'll soon have the same crowd posting about this being a good coin, I'll mine this, etc...   Then the usual pools will start posting their ads.  A few hours after launch people will be asking about an exchange.  Within a day or two your coin will be listed on bittrex and the price will crash after the initial sell orders.  You'll disapear and launch another shitcoin.

But please, can you explain what good this coin is and what it will ever be used for?  Because right now there are already hundreds of shitcoins just like this one.  What makes this shit stand out?

Yup. USBcoin dev 2.0 coin, or maybe 55.0 coin.. Who knows how many coins this guy launched...

1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Is it ok for exchange staff to make coins and try and hide it ? on: July 29, 2014, 05:49:52 PM
I don't think regular users can compete with all the sock puppet accounts coin creators have. Any poll here is skewed in my opinion.

I just ignore the majority of the new coins unless they are made by someone other than a level 0 and have some sort of new innovation. Like the mini block chain coin that was just released a couple of days ago.

1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][USB][RELAUNCH] USBCoin | POS+Block Validation | BitTrex | Post-Mined on: July 29, 2014, 12:48:29 PM
What a waste of time. Why even bother and why should anyone trust you? Hardly anybody understands the code, only a handful. I hope people have been burned enough to realize that all coins are scams with the exception of a handful. Maybe 5 good ones, thats it. The rest are a complete waste of time, electricity and money.

1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCN] Cryptonite | 1st mini-blockchain coin | M7 PoW | No Premine on: July 28, 2014, 02:29:54 PM
All those nodes posted earlier seem to be saturated, I cannot get a  connection. Anyone have more nodes? People post your getpeerinfo.

Thanks.
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Doomcoin](DOOM) CPU-only/Anon Luffa-512 Algo Launch within 24 hours. on: July 27, 2014, 10:17:27 PM
Oh yeah! This is THE cpu coin to mine tonight...  Cheesy  Kiss

1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (NEW: Qt and Windows builds) on: July 27, 2014, 09:08:28 PM
looks like I got lots of orphans or something is up. I'll keep mining for a bit and see what happens.
Yes because we have fixed the difficulty at one in order to make some bugs easier to detect and deal with. You wont get many blocks because there's a very high orphan rate.

@Primitive: 14072700 is probably mining ok for you because it might be on a different fork or something. Catia also mentioned that behind a router upnp will only work for 1 of the computers, so that might also have something to do with it.

Thanks.

I closed and opened the wallet 105 blocks later. Everything synced up fine. The coins I mined are still there so far everything looks good.
1409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TEST RELEASE] Cryptonite binary for linux (NEW: Qt and Windows builds) on: July 27, 2014, 08:56:09 PM
Okay thought I would give this a try.

So I downloaded the latest win64 qt build.

Ran with -testnet

Synced up super fast! Kewl  Grin

Started mining with setgenerate true 4 like the good ole' cpu coins. I'm finding blocks like mad.

getmininginfo..

"currentblocksize" : 1000,

1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] BitTor (BT) x13 PoW. Privacy done right. Launching today, 8pm GMT on: July 27, 2014, 05:44:11 PM
Looking at the specs, I say to myself... REALLY?  Roll Eyes  Ya gotta be kidding!  Cheesy

A regular miner will be lucky to get 1 coin per day for the next 600000 blocks, while you will be holding 10000 coins.

I'm sure no one will have a problem with that here. Carry on.   Grin  Cheesy

1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: for a lol look at nearly every current 'whitepaper' with a hex editor on: July 27, 2014, 11:22:24 AM
You should have kept quiet while you were investigating this. Now we'll never know all the coins this dev has going.

Do you have a full list? I own one of them that you posted earlier. If this is truly the same developer we need to ID him.

This sure looks legit  Roll Eyes I think I'll go to bed and not mine this.

You affiliated with byteberry.net? If so are there any plans to incorporate this coin into Minecraft?

How long do we have to wait for windows wallet and release?

1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qora is scam, just NXT clone, developer run away! on: July 25, 2014, 07:35:37 PM
Yup, like 99% of all the alts, scams. Look for the coins where the developers tell you who they are. Real people that have podcasts and talk to their communities. Dev teams that are competent, do things and have a stake in the coin they are working on. There are only a few so have fun finding them.

1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guild Wars 2 Guild Looking For Coin Endorsement on: July 25, 2014, 07:15:52 PM
BLACK DRAGON COIN!!!!!!!   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=597006.0 .

I would have gone with this one as well. You could buy up a whole bunch now really cheap and then pump the coin with your game. Easily get 500% return or more. Furthermore, BDC is a RPG base coin. What better for an MMO game?
1420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Pre-Ann] MSPaintCoin - Because why not? on: July 25, 2014, 07:06:31 PM
Hey guys, I went ahead and compiled the QT wallet so you can get to mining right away. Hurry now before the difficulty goes down. And fuck OP for not releasing a build before he mines all the coins for himself. I already got a block as you can see.

Warning this is an unofficial wallet build! use at your own risk.

If you can make the wallet look like this, not only will I retract my previous comment,  I will also buy some and mine them as well. ++ the next DOGE.
