What is special about this coin?

You can buy subs at a subway somewhere in the UK.

I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I don't understand something... on: August 26, 2014, 01:16:43 PM
1. Why is Ripple going up. It's a 100% pre-mined controversially currency. Many of you are convinced the network is a distributed MySql database instead of a p2p network. It had zero support after launch but 2 years later is still number 3. Why ?

2. Why is BitsharesX going up 50% / day. What are the key features ? What is so innovative at BitsharesX ?

3. Why is going NXT down. They have just launched the much anticipated Digital Goods Store. The NXT price decline is not something new. The currency's market cap started to fall 2 months ago, short time after Asset Exchange went live. It's like everytime they launch a new module, price is going lower and lower instead of rising. Why Huh

Don't tell me Market Cap is not a good indicator because it's the most important indicator.

Do your own research. You'll get nothing from this forum other than "my coin is better than yours". As can be seen by the replies thus far.
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitsharesX scam, the level of scam will be bigger, Nose dive imminent on: August 26, 2014, 01:03:18 PM
Everybody can read http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/BitShares_X and make decision himself.

This is a nice long explanation of the trap they have created no average Joe can ever profit,

Only the coders of the software will take advantage of the people who are unfortunate enough to fall into their trap,

You Money will be taken away from you be warned, there is no way you can take out more than you ever put in on BitsharesX

BE WARNED

Duh post.

It started trading at 2000 sats. Now its at 8000.. So how is it that no one can make any money? sounds like u r butt hurt about some coin you invested in.

maybe because some ppl still have moral principles to stay away from clearly dubious, money-grabbing schemes

I have morals and feel that Bitshares is the real deal. Monero on the other hand has no usefulness anymore. I suggest you dump your XMR and buy into BTSX.

1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It looks like NXT has taken the 4th spot from BTSX on coinmarketcap. on: August 21, 2014, 06:41:36 PM
Someone is trying to hype aren't you?
Exactly how is this a feat when the difference between the 4th and 5th coin is less than $1M? You do realize that the market caps tend to change drastically in a short period of time. Once some altcoin overtakes LTC then that could be considered a feat.

Hyping what NXT or BTSX?  The fact that BTSX could not hold on very long? Doesn't look very good from where I am standing.

Are you hyping PrimeDice? Is that site any fun ?
Well obviously he isn't hyping BTSX. Well the market cap of a coin in short term isn't important right now. Some coins crashed hard, shouldn't have we said that they were dead?
They bounced back up. I guess it's nice to see NXT actually survive that hack and such, that the confidence is not (completely) lost.

That is true, I expected to see NXT crash hard after the hack but its doing surprisingly well. I'm kinda peeved that I didn't get into this at the beginning. Oh well.. can't win em all.
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It looks like NXT has taken the 4th spot from BTSX on coinmarketcap. on: August 21, 2014, 03:38:44 PM

I went to coinmarketcap and saw that after Litecoin, Bitshares X was the next legitimate decentralized crypto-equity. Now I notice that NXT has taken over BTSX's 4th position (If you count Ripple).

BTSX it was good knowing you.

What are you talking about? NXT is 5 and BTSX is 4 at the moment. While NXT has a 100K volume BTSX has a 750K volume. This is without the release of bitassets. Once that happens say hello to the new #2.

1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEARS considering altcoins as a loyalty program for shoppers on: August 20, 2014, 04:00:32 AM
I would think that if Sears or any major retailer wanted a rewards coin they would simply make their own. To be used exclusively in their own store. It will never be LTC or BTC.

Why would Sears want their clients shopping and spending their rewards at another store. The idea behind it is to get the customers to come back and buy more crap.

Canadian Tire money for instance.

I call BS on this post.

In the current market, always assume SCAM if a coin is launched.

There, fixed that for you.

If you can figure out his real name report him to the Chinese authorities. I'm sure a few days in prison will straighten this guy out.

Wow Bitsharestalk is in the lead! I knew their product was superior for a while now and it looks like many others do as well. Its a good feeling knowing you invested in something with big potential.  Smiley
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Congratulations Scammers, you've killed the altcoin market on: August 18, 2014, 05:26:55 PM
As others have stated, the btc price drop + summer months probably are more responsible for the altcoin market's state than scams. Although of course scams aren't exactly helping matters much.

What I'd like to see happen is a respected dev or devs do a code review for new coins.  Unfortunately most devs here, even oldbies, probably wouldn't be considered 'respected' as they have released their own shitcoins in the past. All of the 'trust' programs regarding identity may help somewhat, if run correctly that is, but code reviews probably would be of greater help to people.

Exchanges could be a lot stricter about their own code reviews + limiting new coins, but unless people simply make them pay for their mistakes (meaning not using that exchange as much), it won't matter.

As for forum moderation/limiting coin announcements... don't think it'll happen nor be as effective as people may think.

We'll see how the market goes... if btc goes up a couple of months from now, I expect many alts to follow. Ethereum has an awful lot of btc to cash out though...

I also believe its the summer months. Vacations, spending money, outside is better than inside. I think it will pick up again in September.

Devs reviewing code? I don't think that will ever happen. With 5 or more alts released daily who has the time to go through all that code? Maybe it can be automated or something that is partially automated?

I believe that Exchanges are in on it. Some coins just make it to the exchanges without voting or anything like that. X13 coin is an example. From day 1 on Polo. Price went only down hill. No pump and dump just a dump. Like someone had most of the coins and dumped slowly.

Yet another Next clone. With the recent history of Next clones crapping down to a single digit satoshis why would anyone bother? Just invest in the real thing.

1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestions to prevent scammers launch new shitcoins on: August 14, 2014, 08:20:34 PM
I have no interest in stopping scams - humans (Lego people) only learn things when there is a cost.

I however will point humorous scams like "NXT" out and help educate people.

if they don't listen, i also don't care, and find it amusing when they lose wealth.

They live, they learn, right?

And they don't come back. That can't be good for business.

And the intention of this thread is to reduce the amount of people's lost. Some people just don't listen to others, it's like they want to be scammed. On some coin ann threads when I ask the dev to use his\her original username, other people don't back me up, instead they support the dev, Actually, the bagholder situation happens, which is mentioned on the OP.

I think all of those accounts that instantly support a new coin and defend the dev are the dev's sock puppet accounts.

Taken from extremepool, at present the Network Hash rate is about 23 KH/sec, with extremepool acounting for 17% of hash rate.

Only mentioning it because I would like to get some feedback.

If all is good I am planning on doing a exchange drive

Its quiet because no big plans, ANN is plain, Logo needs to be a little better, well maybe a lot better. I see you have a bounty for it, that is good.

Any chance of getting a GUI wallet going for it? I know that other cryptonote coins have something already.

How about focus on promoting the coin at shops, like strip clubs. Who doesn't like strippers? I think we need a crypto they can use.

Lay out a roadmap for the coin in the ANN post.
