Finally the game changer Kraigg Brathwaite from west indies side has been dismissed by Ashwin, before his dismissal things were little bit in favour of west indies because they were continuously building partnership and try hard to reduce as much as possible trail, now all set batter has been dismissed so to get into the game again they must hold thier wickets and to reduce pressure and burden they must exchange wickets through out every delivery.
Still they are trail by 269 which is a difficult target against quality indian spinners to chase down and then lead some dozen of significant runs, but anyway one things is confirmed that this series Gona be whitewash..

West indies are now 4 down and they are still 260 runs behind. Kraigg Brathwaite is the highest scorer so far with 75 runs and took 235 balls for that. No other half century seen so far. West Indies must give there best in this test to prove that they deserve test status.
Meanwhile England picked an important wicket of Labuschagne on day 4. Much of the play time lost due to rain. If there is no rain tomorrow then we might see result tomorrow.
West Indies team ended the 3rd day's play with 229/5. Athanaze and Holder on the crease need to score good runs on the fourth day of the match. India will look for quick wickets and end the match. After a long this looked like the West Indies team is playing test match same as what we see in the past days of Brian Lara. Every West Indies batsmen other than McKenzie in the ongoing test match have the strike rate around 35 - 40 which is the real test cricket.

Two sessions missed and England struggling to win the match as Australia have gained good momentum to stand wicket. Final day of the match gonna be interesting as things could get closer to draw and a win from England.

What happened to Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur?

Some over the top meltdown from her, was umpiring that bad throughout the match? She was going all gun blazing against the Umpires at post match ceremony. Quite an unprofessional attitude if you ask me, if there are some sort of problems then submit a formal complaint to the match referee. Perfect case for a couple of match ban.

In my opinion, this situation exemplifies a classic paradigm where women evade responsibility for their own actions. They are the only ones to actually be held accountable for that loss that they suffered. There was no way they should have lost the match at all. At a stage, there were 191/4. After that, they have lost six wickets trying to get 34 runs. That is just not good enough from them. And they cannot just go ahead and blame the umpires for their loss. Even if the decisions that were taken by the umpires actually were really bad still there is no excuse for them to actually lose six wickets in 34 runs.
For 191 runs India Women team have lost 5 wickets. Then India Women need another 35 runs in another 52 balls which is quite enough. Here the expected players didn't scored any runs. The turn took place with the run out of Deepti Sharma, if not she could've added few runs to the scoreboard. Here we need to appreciate Bangladesh Women team in taking the lower order wickets in a much confident manner and tied the match.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Stop Gambling Even If You're Doing Great If This Happens To You on: July 22, 2023, 11:39:58 PM
Same with you, it's no brainer to me personally in choosing inheritance as mentioned by OP the amount of that is far better than the amount that I can earn while playing, 5 years is not that long and if your father will continue to give you support aside from that promise inheritance, you can continue living your life without gambling, you can spend time with other things even you think you have the pattern to continue winning it's still practical to choose the sure way to have secure money.

We do have different views regarding to this topic and as an opinion I will secure the inheritance and find an alternative way to enjoy my life away from my gambling activities.
Inheritance is a family asset that must be properly guarded and not used for harmful actions, as much as possible with the existing inheritance it must be used wisely such as developing a business so that the value of the inheritance will grow and increase, whereas if it is used for gambling it will make the value of the inheritance disappear instantly and it is likely to become a problem that may be experienced because there are definitely families who are not happy to see the recipient of the inheritance using their assets improperly. stay careful because gambling cannot be guaranteed to win.
This scenario could happen in realtime. Recently in a discussion came across a conversation in which a father have earned more than a million and have only one son. He's 25+ age and still eats on his father's earning which isn't wrong. What the father wants is him to work for mere earning and lead his life. Now the father is in fear how can I give all the earnings, maybe he could loss it within few years of lavish spending. When it is about gambling, it can happen in a day. Always the father used to be so responsible and in such situation I would stay away from gambling.
444  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 22, 2023, 11:34:40 PM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?
i don't agree with this person's view, how can a poor person gamble when he has difficulty making money for himself (but mostly poor people play the lottery)

I have seen people that has difficulty putting food on their table gamble.  they don't gamble in a casino but they do gamble among themselves in hopes that they will win and have enough money to buy food for their family.  If they lose then they just borrow from the store and pay it when they got their salary or when they earn from their work.  So what OP stated is correct.  People gambling because they intend to win money to have enough fund for their monthly budget.  Sounds absurd but it do happen.

This is the reality. Poor people doesn't have the mind to think of gambling and all. Theu will be running behind the available jobs to make their day's food available on the table. Right now the scenario is even worse that the food shortage and the food inflation is at its peak. Probably the middle class can be seen much into gambling, because they've got their basic needs fulfilled and they're in the urge to reach the next level of life in terms of comfort and sophistication.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2023, 11:30:25 PM
In the world to day gambling is leading instead of BitcoinBTC (crypto currency) and more are still wanting to join gambling because the minimum age to gamble is 18+ and lot of upcomings are waiting and this is the total amount of gamblers, so let's talk about the crypto currency (Bitcoin) we all know that Bitcoin is a good investment and it has changed a lot in the crypto world but the interesting part is that the numbers of Bitcoin investors can't be compared to gamble and my question is Why? or  is the risk involved in Bitcoin higher than gambling risk?
Just chesk this source

Wrong to compare both since gambling is activity, while bitcoin is a currency.

And besides people is more attracted on where they can have fun or think they can easily earn money than thinking other thinking more technical matter that hard for them to understand.  But don't get stress about it since there's good to compare this since as long as bitcoin can be used on that platforms then we are still fine. Also for sure in future all will come together and bitcoin will also gain more bigger fame and spread each reach once global adoption is fully set.
There is a common thought among the people, gambling can bring big money whereas the reality is completely different. If the person who had spend $1000 few years back have invested into bitcoin, now it could've brought him good return. Very few look with a futuristic approach whereas the majority wants instant multiplication. This is possible with gambling and the risk will be high. Why many are into gambling than bitcoin, it is the place where bitcoin can be spent limitless Cheesy
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin according to Satoshi is digital money then why call it investment. on: July 21, 2023, 11:59:24 PM
Bitcoin was meant to be digital money, but it's become more than that - it's like an investment opportunity too.

People saw its potential and started buyin' and holdin' it, hopin' it'd go up in value. So now, it's like a cool combo of digital cash and a way to potentially grow your dough! Embrace the versatility and remember, whatever you call it, it's all about makin' smart moves and enjoyin' the crypto ride.
It have turned to be an investment opportunity through its growth. Initially it wasn't that high in value. The mere giveaway token started to get value as people started using it. In specific the Pizza guy gave it the value and then onwards the transition from the transaction source it also got importance as investment.

Cricket is such an unpredictable game, and this match was a perfect example of that. While some of the umpiring decisions didn't go in favor of Bangladesh A team, although India A managed to win convincingly. It was quite unexpected, though, as the Bangladeshi batters made some poor shot selections, which actually helped Team India in the process. They lost wickets back to back and couldn't keep their nerves in such an important match. Sadly, Bangladesh's journey over. Congratulations to India A.
Not quite sure what was unpredictable in this match.
On paper Pakistani team has more experience but this Indian A team beat them convincingly and when we compare India A to Bangladesh A team then it's quite clear that the former is more experienced and better equipped. A fair amount of players have more than decent domestic careers and many of them are exposed to pressure situations for ex: IPL.

The opening partnership of Bangladesh A team was good. But after that, Bangladesh was not able to form any good partnership at all. There was also a lot of single-digit score from Bangladesh Batsmen in this innings. It is evidently clear that, in terms of strength, Bangladesh pales in comparison not only to the mighty Indian team but also falls short in consistency. On the other hand, India exhibited remarkable steadfastness throughout the match, as exemplified by the extraordinary bowling performances of its players who did not concede a single extra run. India was just too disciplined for Bangladesh to handle.

The opening partnership made everyone believe it is the match of Bangladesh and in between Indian bowlers gave a comeback moment and few catches from Nikhin Jose is really awesome. During the match we were able to see the heat between the two teams as Indian players were showing shouting on every wickets. If Bangladesh have won the match we could've got an opportunity to watch nagini dance.

West Indies vs India, 2nd Test
Day 2: Stumps West Indies trail by 438 runs. India batted in the 1st innings and collected a huge score losing all their wickets. Currently West Indies are trying to meet the target given by India and they have already lost 1 wicket. Although West Indies are under a bit of pressure due to the rapid fall of wickets, the runs are likely to increase if the 2 batsmen currently at the crease can hold on to the game. If Kirk McKenzie and Kraigg Brathwaite can continue to monitor the game well, West Indies can reach the target set by India. West Indies have collected 86 runs for the loss of 1 wicket so far and they still need to reach the huge margin of 352 runs.
In this match West Indies team have made better plans and getting it done. Good start from the West Indies and if they continue the same performance they'll be able to reach the score of India. Braithwaite is playing responsible, and now McKenzie have come to the crease. For India once again the spinner Ashwin have taken the wicket and the dominance of spinners can be expected in this match too.
449  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 20, 2023, 11:59:41 PM
Their is something I want to know of bitcoin price since it is being at one price since because the price of bitcoin have not reached 40000 in price since the increment started why is that it still clamp the rang of 30000 and 31000 instead of clamping up to add values to the already one, so that is what the market needs but it have being constant in 30000, does it mean that bitcoin is bull run or the price of bitcoin is in bear market. I want to get a good answer from experience ones that know about bitcoin
We can't be sure of the bear/bull market. $30k is the resistance region, because the price have been moving around it for a long time. The price is expected to grow and reach the next barriers, but the required push isn't achieved. For now the price of bitcoin have dropped a little and this looks like the corrective movement is happening. Maybe once after this we can expect the price to make a big bounce.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: July 20, 2023, 11:42:54 PM
I haven't won big out of betting. My biggest spending were on Dice and here it is impossible to win big. All tht possible is to have good wager and loss everything at the end when we go emotionally connected and loss control. The biggest win of my gambling activity is 20X that happened years back when I've lost something around $220 and in the last roll placed the bet calculating the chance of recovering what I've lost. I was lucky to get back what I lost in the final roll which was really surprising by that time.

Actually we can not deny the fact that nowadays gambling is one of the biggest Industry as we all know  that every country involve in gambling while if we talk about cryptocurrency some country prohibited Thier netizen to involved in the crypto world because they  not accepting Bitcoin.
And also like what other said above Bitcoin is  for an investment while gambling is for entertaining so for sure there are many people choose gambling than Crypto.
Many people have begun to choose bitcoin for gambling. To have privacy with their gambling activities people start using cryptocurrencies and the same drives them towards investment and other forms of money making. In such way more people have come into bitcoin leaving gambling. So, it is all about the understanding and the learning people get through the gambling activities as well as bitcoin as an investment.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency comes close to bitcoin? on: July 18, 2023, 11:54:25 PM
Over time the technology is getting advanced and the same makes the new ones into the market better than the already existing ones. This is the fact, but for some reason bitcoin to reach close to bitcoin is really tough and we can't say there are no one close to bitcoin. It is sure that more altcoins are highly progressive than bitcoin and profitability, but to identify and to be successful out of it is very difficult.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 18, 2023, 11:49:07 PM
18 year old limit is probably good enough to apply as 18 year old person would at least understand he/themself is the reason he lost and its not the end of the world. I think gambling addiction itself is bit too exeggarated because its one of the most visible ones. Addictions are always bad. Its good to educate kids and make them at least wait for 18-20 ages so they can freely enjoy gambling with properly knowing how bad addiction is.
Indeed. That's why in most casinos, the minimum age to gamble is 18 years old. When someone is already 18 years old, we can assume he is mature enough and has good mentality. But in certain casinos, the age limit can be 20 years old, it is because they are not sure if 18 years old is mature enough. Whatever the age limit, I agree that 18-20 ages are the ideal age limit for someone to play in a casino. We can't make sure 100% that someone is mature enough at a certain age. However, commonly someone should be mature enough when they are already 18 years old.

maturity of the person sometimes depend on how he live his life. but of course, casinos are just making a general approach on this matter. so they are stating that you should be 18 years old and above before you can play. and that because they are following also the protocol of their jurisdiction. this may vary from country to country. but we usually see the age to be at 18 years old as the cut-off on this minimum age.
Countries have got their own practice and it differs. Maturity can't be the measure, because the lifestyle difference between the urban and rural itself have difference in learning and understanding. So as we saw in one of the past post it is good to go with the age of voting. When a person is given the right to vote, it means he had reached the state to differentiate what is necessary and what is not. In such contrary it is right choice than going with the measure of maturity.
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 18, 2023, 11:38:38 PM
You need talent and a good cricketing brain to build partnerships with the tailenders and Shakeel did exactly the same. Mathews must be kicking himself for dropping Shakeel and he's punishing them with a possibly match winning knock, hard for SL to make a comeback here.
Very true. I never expected Pakistan to provide such a big lead to Sri Lanka when it looked like they would trail them by a decent margin at one point. Shakeel and Agha did something magical here.

Jayasuriya and Mendis were the only decent bowlers while the rest were totally disappointing. Pakistan is set to win this one.
The match that was moving towards draw is now moving towards the result. The term suits well, magical performance from Shakeel and Agha. Beyond all this the performance of Naseem Shah attracted me. It is not easy to face 78 balls and score 6 runs batting at the bottom. That gave Shakeel to reach his 200+ runs.

Sri Lanka have opened the second innings. Trial by 135 runs and further to set the target needs atleast 550 runs to be scored. This is going to be tough against the Pakistan bowlers.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I understand meme coin good or bad position? on: July 17, 2023, 11:54:49 PM
Already it is hard to analyse and understand the market of the altcoins. Memecoins need to be considered just as a gamble. Based on ones affordability should be the investment. This will help with the betterment of taking profit out of the investment, if the growth doesn't happen then the same shouldn't be disturbing our portfolio. There is nothing as good and bad position, it is just a gamble and the luckiest survives with good return that cannot be imagined.
456  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 17, 2023, 11:22:08 PM
The government should make the people self reliant which will make them grow their necessary food crops. This surely helps with the growth of agriculture all around the country. Here governments need to be more productive. When a common man grows, surely it'll be pesticide free and healthy. Governments need to take steps on collecting the food that are excess after their needs. Storing it in right warehouse will help with export and the same could contribute something to the economy.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why local currencies when there is bitcoin ? on: July 17, 2023, 11:16:12 PM
Just with the increasing usage of bitcoin we can't be sure that the local currencies can be kept away from its regular usage. In a country like El Salvador we can think of such scenario. In rest of the countries more changes need to take place along with adoption. Bitcoin is universal and the local currencies were for the usage within limits. It is the government to decide whether those currencies are essential or not. France is a traditionally connected country, maybe for that reason to give importance to everyone thos might be followed.
458  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: July 17, 2023, 10:15:17 PM
Very few countries provide the security for the women. This is the reason why most countries lack women entrepreneurs. This needs to change and this can start from us. We should teach kids to have gender equality, we may say there is equality but in some corner we'll have atleast little dominance over them. Nothing offensive, I've seen most of the women entrepreneurs to be single mom's. Why is so, everything have got a reason. Already they could've suffered big within the family and now to face the people around her is not a big deal. The thought keeps her motivated and makes her successful.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To Understand the Potential of BTC, What we Must Know? on: July 17, 2023, 09:49:30 PM
On of the prime thing that needs to be remembered is the limited supply. The limited supply increases the demand, if not as an alternative this could've never been a success. The BlockChain technology is the backbone, but the same couldn't have brought big success. Whether things function centralised or decentralised, it is all about the demand that makes bitcoin even more potential. We must know the process behind the generation of each and every bitcoin. Only then people will come to know better about it.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: July 17, 2023, 09:18:06 PM
We never get satisfied as well as doesn't want to lose. If we were satisfied then surely majority of the users never want to feel sad gambling. Because, majority of the gamblers make good profit and further the greed only makes them lose everything. Even today I had such a feeling, because I had doubled the capital and I didn't stopped. What happens further, lost everything in just four rolls which shows that gambling is all about limiting ourselves on profit as well as on lose.
