Can anyone help me with my terraminer? It randomly stopped working and idk why. fans still turn on, but not mining, can't connect to the control panel, and it's not connecting to the internet.
It all started when Ghash.IO went down for about 20 minutes this early morning.
Have you tried powering it off and letting it sit for about couple minutes and then plug in power to socket 1 first and into socket 2 within 5 seconds of plug in of socket 1.

No one will trust Bitcoins any more in terms of business transactions because there is no way to track it. If I had a business, I would simply declare it hacked and walk away with all the Bitcoins in an unknown and untraceable wallet. ?

Ever wondered if there is foul play in sites getting hacked? They are Bitcoins after all and untraceable if sent off...

Thanks, that would come in handy. Now I have to see how I would use it at the Datacenter. I have to ask the employee to change the original to this. What you think of putting a Windows Desktop PC in the datacenter and remotely connect to it to monitor the Teraminers?
I am not sure how handly the Windows box would be because if you can't connect to the Terraminers from outside the datacenter(via Web, SSH), it would be almost the same from the Windows machine inside the data center as well. If there are a bunch of Terraminers, it would be nice to monitor them all off of a Windows box though to keep them all behind a firewall.

if you thinking of ordering from these guys, know that they are not fulfilling me as a customer... they have NOT refunded my money. What happened? I don't remember the contract promising a refund, am i wrong? Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #ZQtQClOPUdNeuDUSThey have stated it on their website itself that customers can get a full refund if they want. http://cointerra.com/update-production-news-janfeb-batch-customer-offer/20-30% reduction in hash rate causes huge problems and those in April and May will not even be able to break even at current price of Bitcoin. That issue is that its not 20-30% reduction in profit, its basically that the 20-30% is all profit that's coming off considering the investment cost.

Hey, where in the shipment queue do you guys think they are? Are they up to march units yet, anybody know?
My order date is Nov 20th and I got the 'preparing for shipment' email. If you are March, you should get an email pretty soon. There was another person from Nov 16th that actually got the tracking number and must have got the unit by now.

So i'm thinking of getting a AntMiner S1 since the price is curently really affordable but the question is is it worth it in long term?
I'm thinking of 2 plans if its worth it:
1. Mining alt-SHA265 since the maza coin boom i've also rented a few rigs and got myself a few thousand maza coins in past few days. But the network HS has skyrocketed and soon it probobly won't be so profitable to mine maza coin anymore. Are there any other profitable sha256 coins to mine?
2. After buying my miner I would start renting it.
Or am I too late for any of this?
Do a profit simulator at https://coinplorer.com/Hardware/Simulate and you will see that its not profitable and you will lose money on it. There is almost no way to make money on mining these days the way difficulty is rising exponentially and hardware manufacturers are bending over consumers and shafting them one. Holy smokes, that simulator is way, way off... I plugged in my real world numbers and none of the returns are correct. Try using this one: http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ it's at least in the ballpark. The simulator I mentioned takes into account rising difficulty...not just what you will make today.

True or False: CoinTerra's first ASIC's Hash-Rate is greater than 500 GH/s? Technically, yes. It's the PCB that is slowing it down. Question for HF: did your first shipped batch resulted in a performance >= of 400GH per chip? No, it was 390GH. And you used a fake result in your mining dashboard to prove your customers that they were mining at 400GH, right? Does anyone has a clue that by when cointerra is going to fix this PCB issue? Do old customers get benefits when they fix up this issue? Or it just benefits those new Terraminers using new designed PCB board. The issue of lower hashrate + higher power usage will never be fixed. They have literally switched products if you see on their site to 400Ghz PCI-E based product because its quite obvious they don't have a solution for this.

I have to say- after spending a good time talking to the CT guys at Austin, I think they have their shit together pretty well. Yes they are under performing and over power, but of the teams that I have met at these conferences and otherwise (HF coughcough) I think these guys if any have a good chance of making this right for everyone.
And how do you suppose they will make it right given people are 400 Ghs short and time is ticking by?

Common sense dictates you follow world news.
Russia's stocks plunge? Looks like Russia's middle class might need a way to store value and move it throughout the country or internationally. -> Bitcoin up.
The UK eases tax regulations on income generated through Bitcoin? Might get a modest bump considering London is a financial Mecca. -> Bitcoin up.
I am a programmer myself, so it would be pretty easy, at least the way my mind works, to program a set of pre-determined conditions, and then when one of those conditions pops up in real life, send out an alert on your app (or whatever it is) that says "X is doing Y, 75% chance of breaking $700", and link users to a non-partisan news article regarding the event. Maybe create categories for prediction events:
Military, political, financial news, news within the crypto world (such as the Gox fiasco), etc.
You don't have to be an economist. Human emotion dictates this market as well as most others. I trust you will capitalize on it.
I have plenty of Bitcoin myself but I won't decline a gracious tip of exactly 1 Satoshi.

The fact that you say its pretty easy clearly means you don't know jack!

Did anyone who ordered in November 2013 get their tracking number or shipping notice yet?

i think your burning questions are worth asking, especially the ones about the future of the product lineup and when the full speed miners will ship, etc.
it would be good to know when they are getting the new boards and which batch(es) will have them - e.g. will some february batches, or march batches? Also, whether it would be possible for existing customers with 1.4Th rigs to upgrade to the 2Th - e.g. by mailing in the device - ideally crossmailing so no hash rate is lost. It seems like once they get the old rigs in they should be able to pretty easily upgrade them in house at little cost, as long as they can remove the chip and put it on the new boards... Cheers, Will I don't think there will be such a thing as 2TH. I am quite certain everyone will get the same 1.6TH and no board upgrade etc will solve this problem. The board upgrades etc may make the system more stable at best. Wouldn't be selling 400Ghs PCI-E for $1699 if they had a solution for this problem.

I know its quite far fetched did anyone who ordered in November get their tracking number or got the box shipped to them at all?

Mark my words, we will see btc to under $100 by friday... MT GOX will announce they are halting trading indefinitely. Be prepared to buy low if you can!
Dream on, why would people e.g. from Bitstamp sell all their coins? If your neighbours company goes bankrupt because he was an idiot do you close yours too? Something major is going to happen this week... I am warning you all now.. I am sorry but I have to bring this lingo in here....Is this "asstalk"?
